Very disrespectful, but workers blow grass rocks and debris all in my eyes face and car and food when I asked them to stop blowing while I sat in the Mc Donald s parking lot he throw his hands up and continued to blow

They have trouble prioritizing loyal annual customers, which is why we left.

Unfortunately; Denison s longer handles residential projects!

These guys are the worst. They do my entire community and charge people for their broken equipment. I have water spraying across my driveway in front and in back spraying my patio. Anytime you ask them to fix something they accuse you of breaking something that may not even be on your property. They are horrible, stay away from them.

Yesterday we were going down a street that goes to Clinton MD, a little lonely and we saw this car throwing many bags of garbage on the side of the street, and when they saw us they quickly started the car and left but I managed to take the photo at the traffic light ! I wonder if the company doesnt have a place to throw its own garbage? Every day the streets are dirtier and we should raise awareness and take care of the country we live in! This company, instead of helping the environment, is responsible for making things dirty!

10/10 customer experience and result with the crew in Morgantown. I reached out to Denison for a patio and had an excellent experience. Greg was there for me every step of the way, from understanding what I was looking for, to sorting out the paperwork, getting information for my HOA, and scheduling the install. He & the crew let me know exactly what to expect at all times, and it worked out great! The guys were all professional around the house and kept things neat. I will be using Denison again for my next home project!

My fiancé runs a small business and this company hired him and his workers to do a job in Easton, MD. Once the job was finished, they agreed to send him the payment through the mail. Well, it s been two months and he still hasn t gotten paid and ALL his calls have gone unanswered. Smh these people are unbelievable! This is no way to treat people who worked for you.

They put the trees down at our community, but the trees werent properly arranged with uneven spacing. We asked if they could arrange some tree orders to make the row more aesthetically balanced and even. However, the workers were very uncooperative and rude, and refused to do so. These workers are really sloppy.

Denison Landscape has ignored us when we try to contact them, has not shown up to do the work even though we scheduled several times with them, they don t get back to you and the work that has been done is of very poor quality They don t care, very sloppy!!!! Negative

While driving on Branch School Road in Laurel, Delaware, observed a vehicle owed by this company pull out of the driveway directly in front of me almost causing an accident. The driver then just stared back in the mirror. Very unprofessional and for driving habits.

They now on ll y sell to contractors. They need to put signs on the door so that customers dont waste time.

For the money they charge they should at least give quality work.

They had parked in front of my house when the landscaping is for a house on the other side of the street, they also had pitchforks in the road and blocked cars in. It s been an ongoing ordeal. I m sure their work is great but the professionalism is not.

Terrible company. They started to cut my law, front and back without my permission or request to do so You cannot talk to the workers as they all do not speak English. Trying to contact the company has been a major problem with being transferred and going to voice mail and phone just not being answered. I have called the main number for the 5th time and am now on hold for the second time. The first time I was told everyone was at lunch. I am sorry but I feel this is an emergency and I need some answers. I have been on hold for about 20 minutes, am I waiting until someone comes back from lunch. I was finally transferred to a Teresa, her cell phone, she knew an error had occurred. Her only excuse was people make mistakes. I have spent a little over an hour trying to get an answer about this situation. This is not a company I wish to deal with!

Denison didnt respond to my request for a quote via their website, nor after speaking with two people on the phone, nor after emailing and calling multiple times. I dont know how they stay in business.

Will not return phone calls. I ve left five messages for Tyler in the Delaware office within an eight week timeframe and he will not return my phone calls.

Leave their trucks parked on the side of the road so only one lane can get through. Totally stymied pick up from the local elementary school. Wont answer their phone to respond.

One of the guys cut my hose with the weed wacker while I was using it and when I asked him about it he said no speak English so want yo know who s is responsible for this

The services in Delaware are okay... at times they are a bit late for things or dont show up...they sometimes chip things with the weedwackers....things that need replaced and cost money out of the homeowners pockets...dont maintain weeds very well in certain common areas...when snow plowing they tend to leave the snow in the worst spots...

The amount of damage that one person can do to a once great company is astounding. David Snead is this companies demise.

Almost died on 210! Going thru the intersection a Denison hauling truck cut in front of me from the turning left lane. If I didn t mash my brakes he would of surely hit me!!! I really should ve have followed him and cussed him out. Took a picture of his tag. Who ever that is needs to be fired!!! Called before five but no answer.

Denison service my subdivision, Middletown woods in Waldorf. The crew members that serviced us last week were horrible. They DID NOT CUT OR EDGE THE SUBDIVISION. One member walked around on his cell phone while the other two sat around and talked. I guess they didn t want to work because it was Friday. As a result our subdivision looks horrible. Nothing is manicured. This is the worst this subdivision has looked since we have had service with Denison. What is going on. Please hire people who actually like their work. I will bring this subject up in the next HOA meeting. These guys did absolutely nothing. I am sure they will still get paid. They sprayed something on the edge of everyone s front and it turned our grass light green. Every yard is the same it looks horrible. The rose bushes are dead or dying. I hope you lose your contract with us. If this continues you will receive many more complaints. I noticed that your crew only took care of the very front entrance of the subdivision. Horrible Horrible Work. The homeowners pay a nice penny to have Denison manicure the community areas. This service is unbelievable.

This landscaping company works with my builder to landscape the yards in our new subdivision. I must say, they have been the worst at keeping their word and completing a resod of my back yard. The foreman himself told me the sod that was brought out had been sitting around for a while and he would not want to use it in his yard. I dont know why the builder continue to waste money on this landscaping company. I would not hire them to do a personal job for me at all

Terrible company, dont care about the neighborhood or the work they do, they block the streets and even an ambulance. The work is terrible, the staff is horrible, I would never contract them. Terrible Crew spraying dirt and mulch all over my car and servals others while at the McDonalds parking lot. when asked to stop they choose to ignore the request and continue to spray my car as I left the lot.

Responsive, great attention to detail, and with the way they installed it I think my patio will now outlive the house.

So heart broken they no longer sell to public this was always my go to for big yard jobs.

They have been around for along time and have always had great experiences with them.

Lonny Arter and his team (Felix, Carlis, David and Giovanni) created the hardscape oasis we were looking for. Respectful, creative and timely, they maintained continuous communication and worked nonstop to create exactly what we envisioned. We cannot day enough good things about our project......world class service. We are completely satisfied and highly recommend this team.

Purchased an irrigation system for a small area of my front lawn for over $3000.00 last spring. Installed and set up with no instruction to my husband and I. Anyway, come fall, we turned off all water as usual. Tried to put the system back on mid-May but it would not come on. Finally called Denison to report the issue as well as a crack in the pipe. I was told I should have had the system winterized. Who knew?? - I was not even left with an instruction manual... I was told it should have been commercially drained. Isnt this important enough that we should have been informed? I was told that I would get a call back once who was responsible was decided. Havent heard back yet. Update: After a few missed calls, Deedee called back and told me that they would come out and repair the system. They were as good as their word - fully repaired the system and had it inspected at no cost to us. They later sent Felipe out to turn the system on and then spent a substantial amount of time patiently walking us through the operation of the system, including times of winterizing etc.. At the end of it all, we experienced really good customer recovery and a negative, frustrating (hence 1 star deduction) experience became quite positive. Kudos to Denison...

Theres a fire hydrant outside my house and I just saw a man from Denison Landscaping illegally filling his water tank from it and blocking my driveway. I called police and they came to ticket, but hed gone already. Glad there were no emergencies while he was stealing water.

They are very prompt for their service calls.

Lack community space

I had a home built 2.5 years ago by Khov Denison was the landscaper. I can t believe that they placed sod and planted trees and shrubs directly in clay. My grass doesn t grow thick and green and some of my shrubs have died due to the lack of top soil! All of the homes in my community have the same problem. One should think twice before using their services.

I wish I can give negative stars...this is worst landscaping company ever...very unprofessional, cheap and low quality...if something goes wrong, it takes years for someone to response to you if you keeps calling their office/managers every day. They have all different kind of excuses...don t wast your time really. Denison Pittsburgh did backyard landscaping here for three of our families last year, we have issues like patio not flat after a few raining days, stair bricks collapsed....etc. No one comes back to fix it. the reason we used them because they were the company our builder used in this new community. i dont even want to start the community job part, just ask around their reputations in our neighborhood. We are officially filing complains to our builder first for using this company now. Will take actions together. Edited: I am giving two more stars back because the new local project manager reached me after this post, I agree some of old problems shouldn t fall back on his shoulder, and he s trying his best to fix the problem. I do hope we can make everything right. Edited: No log? i dont know what to say...i think you mis-understanding the review. this is not about my tree replacement, although ive been calling you guys from Feb, now finally got replaced at September. i didnt discuss with Anthony because i dont think its his responsibility but i appreciate his good intentions, at least someone is helping at the end. For myself, weve agreed to grade my lower backyard with at least 1 ft extension out on the slope. At the end, the awful grading leads to serious drainage problem, and of course no extension at all because ive been told there was no soil. (its joined project with my neighbor, we paid 10 yards of topsoil in contract and not been used anywhere). Anyway, with all the grass growing, i personally dont want you guys to come back to fix anything anymore. but i will share your contact in community.

THE BEST LANDSCAPING COMPANY IN THE LANDSCAPING BUSINESS

We built a new home and this was the company that did the landscaping. They layed sod directly on top of clay which obviously didn t stick. Our backyard was completely unusable as it was a mud pit. Our builder contracted Denison again to the do the backyard. This time they put topsoil down first then the sod. Not sure why they didn t do they the first time. This new sod is completely invested in crab grass though and they destroyed the grass on the side of our home with their machines. To top it off they cracked our concrete slap in half, watched them do it on my security cameras.

Either terrible customer service or just incompetence. We purchased new construction in March 2017 and have yet to receive a list of the plants in our yard. Weve called directly, emailed and tried to work through the builder and all avenues have failed to produce a listing of what was actually planted beyond the description of Evergreen or Ornamental. Very disappointing that they are unable to answer such a simple question. The sod is another issue. Ours was installed very poorly and we continue to see gaps on the other lots on our street. Overall, extremely poor quality. We recommend avoiding them.

When I finally thought I had already gotten my fair deal of disappointments with landscapers, these guys decided to do the complete opposite of what I had instructed them to do. I m just done with these so called landscapers. I think I ll be doing it myself. Guys beware of these amateurs.

Horrible. Been a nightmare since this job started. First over a week of delays and excuses. Then each time theres a problem...heh..expect to be stuck with a garbage yard for not 1 or 2 but 4 1/2 days EACH TIME. If thinking of using this company you need to look at those reviews which are the real ones of notoriously HORRIBLE service. I would never recommend or hire this service again. The job isnt even finished and its horrible. The worked stopped last week mid-wed over an issue and didnt start again til Monday. Then the joy...had another issue and the work stopped mid Wednesday this time and go figure, wont start again til next Monday. I will be so glad when this company is out of my yard so i never have to see them again. Overpriced to boot. I will add though, once they do the work it does look very nice. So that is why i edited the post.

Horrible customer service. Installed an irrigation system in my home and performed a spring tune up at cost. I called them asking a question about the system and they literally refused to answer and wanted to charge me $145 for training on the system. Needless to say, I ll use another company for my services. The women I spoke with, Diane, was incredibly rude.

TERRIBLE customer service. I called for an estimate for removing shrubs and scheduled an appointment. They cancelled the day before and I couldnt get ahold of them to reschedule. When I was finally able to rescheduled, they said that they would come by and call me with an estimate because I didnt really need to be there for it. They never called me back. I also put in a request on their website a while ago for other work and have not heard from them on that either. I cant imagine what it would be like to deal with these people if something went wrong. Find someone else.

The comments from Josh Dennison of Dennison Landscaping & Nursery dated August 1, 2016 are pure unadulterated balderdash--not a word was true. They were made to try to nullify my previous review of Dennison concerning their inferior work on a drainage system that does nothing to correct the problem around the patio in my yard. I find it so hard to comprehend why an established company would outright lie about what actually happened. According to Denison they were working within my budget and I declined a significantly more advanced system. The initial Project Manager, Karen, never discussed a budget with me or tell me her recommendations may or may not be adequate. I accepted what she recommended and felt the price was fair. I recently had a Prince George s County Construction and Standards Inspector come to my house and was advised the French drains are clogged because they were not wrapped with a drain sleeve and the system would have worked better in a bed of stones. Consumers you be the judge. I was unable to post the photo showing what happens after a heavy rain. A picture is worth a thousand words. Dissatisfied customer. Dennison does not stand by their work or provide good customer service for residential properties. A little over a year ago I hired Dennison to correct a drainage problem around my patio. They removed the old French drain, replaced it with the same type drain and extended it about 8 feet with a pop up. After about a year this work was no longer effective and water was backing up on the patio leading to a sliding door. It came to the point, after a heavy rain as a female almost 80 years old, I had to go out and dig around the drain and the pop up to facilitate the flow of water off the patio. I filed a written complaint late winter of this year at the office and heard nothing. After several trips to the business, I finally received a call and a representative did come to my house. He looked at the area and told me he would have initially recommended a different approach to solve the problem. Another month passed and the excuse was he was waiting for John, the president, to make a decision. After a few more weeks, the representative left a new proposal to extend the drain further and re grade a portion of the yard for an additional $2,000 with no discount or consideration of their previously substandard work. On May 20, 2016 I sent Dennison a certified letter (return receipt requested) expressing my concerns/disappointment; and as of June 27 there has been no response. I noticed other customers have not been treated fairly as well. Why does it have to come to writing bad reviews, going public or taking legal action before the problem is resolved. I wanted to attach a photo of the standing water, however. the site would not permit me to do so.

nice flowers, great expertise. However if you purchase loose soil it will have a lot of rocks (pebbles and small rocks) which is not good for renovating a lawn.

I saw these landscapers (Truck #308) driving erratically on 495. There were tailgating a car and refused to let anyone in from a merging lane. Additionally, were rude to other drivers on the road. Someone associated with this business flagged my reviews on Yelp because it pointed out the terrible attitude of the company.

They are the least bit concerned about residential customers. Terrible customer service. Dont shop here unless you have time to waste getting the run around on the phone. No one knows whats going on and they dont seem to care to know. I wouldnt give them a penny of my money. Promised delivery and planting of a tree and never showed up on delivery day and never gave a courtesy call to say they wouldnt be showing up. When I called it took 45 mins to get someone to tell me to call back on Monday. No apologies, no sorry for the inconvenience, nothing but call back Monday. Today is Friday and Ill be there Saturday morning to get my money back!

Horrible customer service! The have billed me twice and as of 7/17/15, my irrigation system is not running. They had the audacity to send me a past due notice. Potential customers, run, run, run and dont look back.

Bought a new home in November 2014, the builder Beazer uses this company for the irrigation, in June 2015 in order to run the system for the first time, the builder told us to contact Denison. They charged $310.18. The system never works, since we had a lot of rain this season, I didnt even realize that the sprinklers were not working. When we contact Denison to report that the system doesnt work, the manager pretty much calls me a liar, telling me that if the system never works, why do I wait that long to call and told me that I must pay $117 in order for them to send someone to look at it. I wish I have read those reviews in June otherwise I would not have done any business with those folks. Tomorrow, I will call Beazer, the builder to inform them on how these people are treating customers. Apparently, all they worry about is their money, customer satisfaction is irrelevant to them. I so fed up with them, I have a so called 1 year plan with them, as far I know they can keep the money, I will not call them for anything because I dont want to have those folks anywhere near my driveway. STAY AWAY FROM THEM, because if you have Hypertension, Denison will sure get you a stroke

Had a patio put in last August by Denison. Overall I would say the experience was not the worse, but certainly not the best. We were promised a few dates to start and days went by. Once we finally got them up here to work they did a good job and knocked it out in a day. One thing we noticed was they used regular sand to push between the pavers and did not use a tamper. After the first rain the sand was practically gone and the pavers were loose. Even though we were told they would put down the Polymeric sand, we had to go to Home Depot to buy and put it down ourselves. Even after that the stones were still loose, one spot has settled and it is pretty noticeable. It took four or five months to get sod laid down. I have sent numerous emails and left messages with management and we still have not had anyone come out to look or fix it. Main excuse, The Dept of Labor has delayed visas for workers . Not sure why that is my problem... Anyways, I cant give it one star because the patio is nice, just overall poor customer service. Would not recommend to anyone.

I have been using Denison Irrigation for over 22 years and have been very pleased with their service. They always show up when scheduled and immediately go to work. I use them to repair, spring start up and winter shut down of my system. I would recommend them highly.
