I have a large oak tree that hangs over my driveway and carport. The crown had snapped off during a storm but was hung up on other limbs. I had been putting off getting it taken care of but it was literally hanging over my head. I was hoping to have it done before Thanksgiving so people could park in the driveway without worry. I contacted Mike on Monday before Thanksgiving and before I even finished my coffee on Wednesday, he had it finished. Not only that, but Mike went over and above and trimmed out some limbs that would have been future problems and thoroughly explained the tree's growth process and weight distribution amongst the branches. If you're looking for super friendly and super knowledgable, then Mike is your guy!
I contacted Mike Carroll about a large oak tree in my backyard which was next to my deck and rather close to my house. A recent thunderstorm had caused some of the tree branches to fall on my house, causing some gutter damage; I had also noticed a number of dead limbs in the upper levels of the tree. Mike and his wife Rachel came out promptly at the agreed upon time, and Mike examined the tree and told me that it was severely infected with canker. He told me that the tree was not salvageable and would need to be taken down before it came down on its own (likely on my house.) Rachel found a spot for me on the schedule, and Mike and his crew arrived early on the specified day and worked very hard to carefully and safely bring that tree down. Because of the orientation of my property, they had to enter through my neighbor's side yard; they were very careful to avoid damaging my neighbor's grass and property (my neighbor very graciously allowed them the use of the driveway as well.) The entire job took two days, and during that time they were very courteous and professional. (I should mention that I also asked Mike to take a look at my other oak tree in the front yard; he did, pronounced it healthy, and had one of his crew trim a few small branches from it.) After Mike and his crew finished the cutting and trimming, they hauled away all of the logs and debris, and meticulously cleaned everything up, including blowing off sawdust on my deck. Mike has an encyclopedic knowledge of trees and their diseases, and clearly knows what he's doing; this was not an easy tree to take down, and yet he and his crew did it safely. I highly recommend them for any type of tree work.
We had a blow over elm pushing against a pine with a cracked trunk next to our house that was threatening to come down. Mike responded in a very timely manner and with his crew came out and took down the pine as well as another pine with a damaged trunk and a couple of other trees that were marginal. Very professional and hard working group that worked quickly and left the property in very nice condition. Thanks!

I recently moved to Fort Smith and bought a place that had 7 dead trees. My brother who lives out of state, found Mike Carroll on Google, read his reviews and gave him a call. Mike came to look the job and give us a quote. When Mike and crew came to do the work, I asked him about a very large pile of branches and yard debris that was on top of a prior burn pit. It was a mess! He told me they could take care of it and we agreed on a price. After the removal of the trees and debris pile, as well as grinding the remaining stumps, my yard was impeccably clean. No signs that the trees or pile were ever there. It looked absolutely fabulous! I have several additional projects planned for my yard and I will be using Mike Carroll Tree Service for each of them! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for tree removal or landscaping!

Mike and his crew were amazing. Mike really knows his stuff about trees and seems to genuinely care about them, almost like family. I asked him out for a consult because I had a tree that was very close to my house I was worried about. He assessed that tree and a dozen others on my property and gave me great advice on how to maintain them all, what each needed, and long-term prognosis on them all. We agreed to have him come balance and prune the big tree over my house and clean up all the rest as well. I thought the price was very reasonable. When the crew arrived, they were quick, polite, professional, and really concerned about taking care of the trees and the customer. They spent several hours and now my tress look so much cleaner and healthier. They also cleaned up the whole lot so you'd barely know they were there. It was a great experience all around. We called them in the middle of the night when a huge tree fell on our home and water was gushing through the ceiling! They were out early knowing what to do and acting quickly to get the job done so we could take the next steps in the repair process. At the time, they told us they were booked a month out. However, Mike called about 3 weeks later and told us he and his crew could come out that day. We love when a company under promises and over delivers! Mike and his crew were at our home within the next couple hours. The entire crew was professional, respectful, mindful, meticulous and friendly. They spent many hours here assessing the trees, teaching us what to look for regarding a particular canker fungi, how to treat it and prevent it, showing us what it looks like and suggesting fertilizing tips. When they were done trimming, they spent the last hour picking up our yard and making sure it looked like they were never here. Mike was picking up every single twig he spotted. They even stacked wood for us from the trim that we plan on using in our fire pit. The estimate amounted to $3,200. We gladly paid that amount to have a certified arborist with many years of experience treat our trees with the utmost care and shape them up to give our home even more curb appeal. Some of the crew is bilingual as well. This is appreciated; especially if English is not your first language. Thank you so much Mike and crew! Mike and crew cleaned up two very big oak trees in our yard, they were in bad need of help. Mike and crew showed up early and worked hard to get done in a reasonable time. Mike and his crew were truly exceptional in every aspect, they literally left my yard looking better than before they arrived. We had a tree at the end of our house that was only held up by the Grace of God and if it fell would do extensive damage to our house; Mike put us at emergency status and as soon as the ground was dry enough they were here and knocked it out. I went to school with Mike and Johnathan and hadnt seen them since, and I truly enjoyed getting to see them ; but Mike stepped in for us and rocked the house and truly helped us out of a bad spot. This man is awesome he and his crew showed up at the time they said and was finished in 2 hours very friendly even put me in touch with a guy to remove the stumps. So if you need a tree remived call Mike first he is the best.

We have a huge oak tree in our yard that had a number of dead branches, some overhanging the house. Mike came out, evaluated and told us exactly what needed to be done and how they would go about doing it. The job they did was fantastic. The tree already looks so much healthier and balanced. I had two huge oaks in backyard that needed trimming as they were dangerously close to the power lines. I called on three companies. The first two were intimidated by the powerlines but Not Mike Carroll. He has the experience, equipment, and crew to back up his estimates!! I ended up adding the removal of two trees which he gladly added on despite the heat. His crew Richard, Mike and Sean were super and I learned had been with MC Treeman decades which was obvious because they performed like a fine tuned machine. I would definitely use them for any job especially requiring strong leadership and a great sense of safety!
I have been having drainage problems in my yard so I called Mike to see what it would take to fix the problem. Mike and his wife came out that same day to look at my yard and told me what they could do to solve my problem. Mike and his crew were wonderful. Those men worked so hard in the August heat to dig trenches to install a french drain. It was not an easy job because my yard is so rocky. Yet when I took my dogs out, they where so nice and friendly, they answered all my questions and never made me feel like I was in the way. They always had a kind word and seemed eager to help. I am thrilled with the job they did and will recommend them to all my friends and family.
