Coulson spent alot of time talking with us about the plan for trimming our three large trees, then the team that came out to trim them were friendly, efficient, and obviously very capable. They did an amazing job, even as the freezing temperatures rolled in. Im so glad we picked SavATree to tend to our trees.

He took his time in conducting a very thorough evaluation of our root problem including talking about our soil and drainage situation and how the tree was improperly planted by the builder. I am so appreciative of Savatrees Emergency, expert, professional services! During a nighttime microburst windstorm, one of our large, beautiful Aspen trees was broken, and had great potential for falling in a dangerous manner which could have damaged our koi fish pond, or caused injuries to people. My neighbor hired SavATree to take down a tree in his yard with branches that extended over my yard. I greatly appreciated the crew telling me what they were doing and cleaning up the branches and sawdust that fell into my yard. A lot of companies wouldn t have been this considerate. Thank you!

We have been with Savatree for years. They have always done an excellent job treating our trees and keeping them in excellent health. Recently we contracted them to do a major pruning on our Siberian Elm. It had gotten out of control! It is huge so was going to require a bucket truck and chipper. The highly trained team arrived and one hour later this tree looked like a tree again! Our arborist is very knowledgeable and so nice to work with. We really trust his judgment. On the recommendation of a friend, we called SavATree to evaluate the needs of 4 large conifer trees in the yard of a house we moved into about a year ago. The trees had been neglected for several years, and we want to give them every opportunity to thrive going forward. Ben is a true arboriculturist and has a keen eye for the cultivation and management of trees, shrubs, vines, and other perennial woody plants. He knows a lot about grass too. We ve been using SavATree for a year now and it s clear Ben and his crew really have a passion for what they do. I called several companies and selected SavATree. Ben (arborist) spent the time to carefully evaluate the best approach for each tree. They did a large project for me that included trimming a number of trees including a very large Cottonwood, plus the removal of several dead trees, large plants and stump grinding. They also had to trim one tree back off of powerlines. Jack and his crew were professional, hardworking, extremely good with communication, left the property spotless and were just easy to work with. Im glad I found them!

CSU hired them for branches, one worker came over and gave me a hard time over cleaning up next to my patio and putting my dog outside when no one was currently there.(They were taking lunch or a break). After I went back in, my screens were taken apart, and moved from my patio. Some of my property was put on the sidewalk 3 feet away from where it was on my patio, probably blown when cleaning(They really didnt want me to cleanup, but my puppy eats and chokes on sticks). It is important to note that it was already clean and these items were not near any trees! Its also important to note that the first worker was a small (professional but pushy, probably ex military)woman and after the encounter, outside with my dog, a male worker came over about 30 feet away and stared at me with a mean, angry scowl as if he was upset and wanted me to know it. He just stood there and stared at me. I was not rude to her or him. I stayed with my dog who was leashed and then went in. Shortly, I left to pick up my son. He saw me leave in my car and stopped working to stare at me again. We came home. After they had left the area and moved to another, I found my belongings in the above mentioned states. Just an hour later I went to my car, I realized someone had pulled the front emblem strip off my grill of my car. He was the first person I thought of due to our very recent encounter. The trees look horrible. These people are trained in safety but they butcher the trees, or at least they did here. Shameful.

Excellent professional service! Colson Leingang the arborist evaluated the best was to prune my trees to keep them healthy and reduce possible damage to my house and neighbors roofs from weak/dead tree limbs. Colson presented me with comprehensive estimated cost within 10 min of walking me though his plan to trim the trees. Colson also contacted my neighbors to let them know that he would be trimming the branched over their house before starting the job to make sure it would be ok to do so. I was out of town when the job was done and when I returned I was happy with the results, it was perfect, the trees were trimmed, looked beautiful, healthy and full. The job site was clear of tree debris and done on the date promised. I would use this service again and would highly SavATree to my neighbors and friends.

I called savatree twice in the past when I had concerns about 2 different trees. They came out free of charge and did an inspection and let me know what was happening. I decided to get a tree planted and they also applied an injectable fertilizer for my existing trees. Did a great job all the time. Professional and friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely use again.

We started with SavATree last fall. We had problems with aphids and mites in our trees and bushes. We had trugreen for a number of years but never solved the problem. Happy to say this we have no bug problems and our trees and bushes look great! Especially for such a wet year. They are very knowledgeable, communicate extremely well, they are on-time and very professional!

We are so grateful to Grace Rooks, arborist at SavATree in Fort Collins! We were very worried about our 30 year old locust tree last year after our lawn was dug up on three separate occasions for sewer, water pipe and water valve replacements. So many of the tree s large roots were cut straight through that we thought it would not survive. Grace recommended special treatments throughout the winter to stimulate root growth and when spring arrived, we were so relieved to see it leaf out and grow vigorously!! We also rely on Grace for pruning recommendations and caring for issues with our other three trees. I had a dying elm tree in our front yard and had FIVE arborists/tree companies look at it. All but one told me the tree could NOT be saved, all except Colson Leingang from SaveATree. Colson said hed be able to revive the tree with regular scale and systemic soil treatments. Three years later, the tree has exceeded our expectations, has thrived so much, we had Colson return to trim the tree twice! As you can see by the pictures, it is thriving. We had SavATree trim our backyard trees too, so theyd be stronger during the harsh Colorado winters. We highly recommend Colson (now considered my personal arborist) and SavATree and their crew!

I contracted SavATree to give me a estimate for some trees in my yard. Colson came out and talked to me. I scheduled the appt. and Mike and Ryan came out to cut dead as well as trim the trees. They let me know they were here and wanted to know anything else I would like to talk to them about. When they were done they cleaned up and check to see if I was happy with the work. I have been using Savatree since 2021 They offer professionals like Grace. I have 2 Ash trees one male one female. Grace gave me a better understanding about their care and needs. I have been extremely pleased with the way they handle my trees besides the ash. Their prices are a great value too. They have trimmed my trees and will be providing ash borer applications this coming summer and they fertilized my giant ash tree in the front .

Ive been using SavATree for quarterly tree fertilization for the most important landscape trees on my property for several years now. The most important tree is a Norwegian maple that took a big hit from a late spring freeze some years ago. Ive discussed with my arborist, Colson Liengang, how best to care for it. His knowledgeable advice was to fertilize it and allow it to recover for a couple of years before considering pruning to remove the damaged limbs. This fall was the schedule for pruning. At Colsons direction, an experienced pruning crew arrived on site and pruned by hand and by power saw from a cherry picker bucket. Within 2 hours, the job was finished. The job was professionally accomplished and Im very pleased with the support from Colson and his team. I recommend Colson and SavATree.

SavATree and Ben Zomer were amazingly professional and responsive to my request to look at our cherished oak tree that densely shades our back patio deck in summer. Our Oak was showing signs of stress and a number of branches appeared to be dying. Ben carefully assessed the situation and gave us options to choose from. He also didnt jump to cut off the branches, but rather wanted to give the tree time to respond to treatment with the hope the branches will bounce back next year. Today, Arborist Colson Leingang and his Crew cut down a bunch of dying Aspen trees. They did quick work and left the yard clean. Three of the trees were really close to the house and they safely worked to make sure the trees fell where they wanted. I will continue to use experts like Colson to take care of all my trees. We have used Swingle, now SavaTree for many years to water, trim and spray trees. They have always been very professional and punctual in doing their work. Friendly, prompt, and reasonably priced for lawn care, tree maintenance, tree removal, and stump grinding. Our arborist Ben is highly knowledgeable, but the crew is also helpful and efficient.

Savatrees arborist, Eric Shaub, came out and diagnosed my lawns problem, and made reasonable recommations to correct the disease issue. He also noted issues with our trees and we followed those recommendations too. I have to say that our lawn yard has not looked better in several years. Our communication with savatree and Eric is excellent as well. Great company.

After 2 years of service we are moving on. Trying to get someone out to inspect the trees was always an ordeal. Trying to get, quality answers (emails, text, etc), was also near impossible. Basically was told trees were planted too deep with no solutions outside of paying for additional fertilization services (aka no mention of a root-flare excavation). I was able to learn more, or ways to save my trees, researching on Google for a few hours than relying on my arborist. The lack of communication was brutal and dont plan on going back for a long while. Their Japanese tree beetle formula did not work either.

I was very impressed with the skill and dedication that the employees took in doing my tree work. No one works harder and with more commitment to quality workmanship. Very fair pricing.

Treating for Emerald Ash Borer every 2 years without double-checking with the property owner is utterly unprofessional and ridiculously behind on the current science. Save a Tree is sure are making a lot of money off of entering peoples yards when no one is home, though. The city of Fort Collins treats the trees they are protecting from EAB on a three year rotation, not a 2 year rotation. As a entomologist, I can tell you Ill never be using their services again. What they did was apparently legal given that we had trees treated two years ago, and evidently didnt read the fine print of the contract (which isnt actually a contract - they were not able to show me anything we had actually signed). Grrrr. So frustrating, and at more than $900 more than a little painful.

From start to completion (survey thru cleanup) Bob Zomer (arborist) and Daren (crew leader) did an outstanding job. The crew arrived on time and well equipped. I looked up David Jordan under his prior business name to call for his help with grinding the stump of a still-young honeylocust that had already been cut down after it had developed a fungus and died. Additionally, my backyard mature honeylocust just needed (I thought) general pruning. Id worked with David back in the mid-90s when his company, over a couple of years, removed a grove of cottonwoods that had grown into a horribly small space on the south side of my house, pushing up both my fence and the neighbors fences. Knowing the quality of his work, I wanted him again. Learning hed joined SavATree, the company was kind enough to allow him to come give me an estimate. It was great to see him after these years had passed, and I learned there was a large major limb in back overhanging the roof that had a split which could have caused it to crack and fall onto the roof, causing major damage. David and his team, consisting of his son, Tyler (who wasnt born when we worked together before!!), Paige, and Juan came out and with brief explanation from David, Tyler, Paige, and Juan went to work. What a terrific job they did! Watching Paige climb that back honeylocust had me holding my breath at times (good thing I wasnt her mom!), but it was clear she was not only professional but truly enjoyed her work. They were all such hard workers! They ground my front stump and filled in the space for a future planting of a different tree. They were polite, cleaned things up well, and Id not only use them in the future--plan to when ready to plant a new tree in front--I highly recommend them. Thanks to the four of you, and if everyone else at the company works as well as you all do, there couldnt be a better place with which to do business for such services.

My elderly mother has been a customer of David Jordans tree services for years. After the recent storm she had several downed and hanging limbs and branches that needed taken care of. I contacted David and he put me in touch with Ben at SavATree, the company he had sold his business to. Ben gave us an estimate. He was on time, thorough, friendly and professional, and we knew what to expect. The crew showed up the next day, which was a pleasant surprise as we didnt expect them to be able to get to us so quickly due to all they had to do from the storm. Alex, the foreman and his team did a fantastic job trimming up the mess and cleaned up and hauled it all away. We are very satisfied with SavATree. Awesome place

This team was across the street trimming a large tree from my neighbors after a recent heavy snow storm. We already removed our own broken branches and had a pile still in our yard. I walked over and asked for pricing on what it may be to have them chip those branches while they were right there with the chipper. They quoted me $60 and I immediately ran in and wrote them a check and left for work. I got home and they had the check inside my door canceled with the words FREE and a :-) on it. I know it wasnt a lot of branches but they still did the work and this was such a nice surprise! I will definitely be reaching out to them in the future to give them our business!

We contacted SavATree to prune storm damage on our two ash trees. The crew arrived promptly and did a great job pruning the trees and cleaning up the lawn and surrounding concrete areas and accomodated our request to leave the chipped wood for mulch. They were pleasant and helpful and we feel confident that the professional pruning will promote the health of the trees. Both the arborist and branch manager were responsive to questions/concerns and represented the company with great customer service.

I have had the sad task of having to remove two storm damaged trees this year. Sav-a-Tree responded quickly to my call and provided me with a reasonable quote. They arrived to do the work much sooner than I expected with all the storm damage around. They were professional and efficient and cleaned up everything before they left. They did a quick prune of a small tree and cut up and hauled away a huge branch from our neighbor s tree that fell in our yard. We were very pleased with our experience with this company and would highly recommend them!

Ben who is in charge of our home has been nothing but polite, any questions we have he s answered. Some questions he needed to go more in-depth but he always took the time that was needed. SavATree came out to grind a stump in front of my house for the City of Ft Collins. They were fast and efficient so I called them to cut a tree down in my side yard. It was very tall, in a small space and hung over my house and my neighbors property. I was very nervous about the tree removal. The crew was on time, polite, worked hard, communicated well and above all used every protocol to keep themselves and my family safe. From beginning to end, SavATree gave me a wonderful and professional experience.

Ben Zomer and his guys did an outstanding job on my trees! I had contacted another company and they wouldnt even give me a date that they could get to me, but it was looking like about 2-3 months out. Ben was able to come and look at what I needed and his guys were there about 2 weeks later. They were awesome. They were very thorough with their questions, and very careful not to do something that couldnt be undone. I have a wall of privacy conifers that are quite problematic, but they needed trimmed. They did an EXCELLENT job and explaining why they could do some of what I wanted, but doing ALL of what I wanted would not actually be a good idea. Also, they did a great job trimming and restructuring my Ash tree and Maple tree. They look amazing and Im very happy with that service. Finally, they removed two NASTY Pyracantha bushes for me. These things have thorns that can get to be very long and not fun to work with. I felt bad for asking anyone to do it, but they did it with a smile on their face (somehow..) Overall, very very happy with this company. Easy to get a hold of, easy to work with, and fairly priced. Thanks guys!

I was extremely pleased with the service provided by the two arborists from Savatree. They were friendly and did a lot of work in little time. They removed some snow storm damaged limbs and trimmed several trees. They also gave me some good advise regarding future management of our trees. Excellent work by Savatree!

Ok here I am with SaveATree another few years later and my trees and lawn still look great. Im so pleased that my necrotic ring seems to still be gone! My weeds in my perimeter are under control so I just have a little to deal with there. The technicians who come out have become so familiar with my lawn they sometimes know more than I do about that is going on and give me recommendations about what to do. I dont always to winter watering with SaveATree, but with dry months I have them water my trees because Im not very incline to pull out the hose when it is so cold but I know my trees do need the water. So both summer and winter I can count on SaveATree folks to help out. Billing is still something I dont totally understand but Ive given up trying as I just call and talk to my consultant or the folks in the office and tell them what I want or dont want for the year and then pay my bill up front - I know I can pay monthly if I prefer but I prefer to get the annual discount. Ok thats what I have to say 6-6-20 ------------------------------------------------------ I have been with Swingle for more than 11 years now. I read reviews before most of my services so decided that it was time to actually give a positive review for a company that I respect and recommend often. These folks are wonderful... the fungus on my grass is gone! I know it cant totally be gone but I dont see it and I love my grass.. I started using Swingle initially for my ash trees to prevent the ash bore problem but a wonderful side-effect was how the spray made the nuisance curling disease on other small bushes begin to go away as well. I had been trying to treat these problems myself without success for a couple of years but Swingle got rid of these problems immediately. In addition to pest control, I have my evergreens and other trees watered and given fertilizer during winter months and at other times by Swingle. Again, I had been doing this myself but having them do this improved the quality of the growth of my trees and budding out. I had minimal to no damage this year with the brown pine damage I have seen around everywhere else in town. Finally, I had a local company doing my lawn care. He was cheap and he did control my weeds. However, I began to have more of those circles of funny stuff . Diagnoses by Swingle as necrotic grass something. Once again I too had been trying to get rid of it. My agent gave it only a small chance of success. Now just one year (maybe two years) later my grass is all well with minimal damage and no spreading like it was. We built this house and paid for all the landscaping so I know how much these trees/scrubs/grass cost!! I have tried to go the cheap route. There are many complains about the expense of going via Swingle particularly on the YELP site for the Denver company -. Well you get what you pay for!! Like I said I have done the work myself, I have paid for cheaper service, and now I am willing to pay Swingle because I love to see my trees and scrubs grow at a fast rate.. one that allows me to enjoy them I do admit and have discuss with them that their billing system is ODD, very ODD I pre-pay but then it says I owe something but if you look at the WHOLE account it will say it is paid?? I have talked to the accounting folks several times and now I understand to just wait and see. I have over paid several times because of this issue but they keep track and always give me my credit. They know this is a problem, but they are honest people with just an odd billing system. Much like working with Medicare or credit card folks. Everyone has their own system and it doesn t always fit with the way we think.

We paid Sav a Tree $1200 up front to remove a juniper tree, grind the stump and give our crabapple tree 3 juniper-apple tree rust treatments. They no showed us or came when they were not scheduled ridiculously unreliable. Icing on the cake was talking to the office and getting a patronizing little lady speech from the manager. Don t waste your time or your money.

Ben, Robert, Alex (and one other awesome worker that I cant remember his name) came out and did a great job working on our trees. We live on a busy street in Fort Collins, and several of our trees hang over the street. It turned out once they were up there one of those trees had more decay than expected (or could ever be estimated without getting up in the 45-50 ft tree). They were able to safely remove this tree with only a small price change from the initial estimate. They were also able to get it done the same day, which was wonderful. Everyone was so informative, polite, and did a great job with our trees. Would 100% recommend.

For three years this great team has been trimming, feeding and protecting our trees against aphids. They are so professional, friendly and informative, and have taught us a lot about how to properly care for our trees. This week they went out of their way to quickly treat a pine that was suddenly and aggressively attacked by beetles. Dan made a huge effort to act quickly and Colson made space in his busy schedule. Unfortunately had wind damage to an ash this weekend. I emailed on Sunday, Dan and crew were here on Monday. The service was beyond my expectation for professionalism, responsiveness, quality and thoroughness of their service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This was an amazing team. Ben was very communicative and clear in what we should expect. This was the first time we have had tree care and I called them two days after the service to schedule more. Evan was the Forman and he checked in with us throughout the service and kept us informed. He had a great team and it was fun to watch Paige tree climb. It was cool for my daughter to watch her climb the trees and manage the pruning. We are having them come back and do the rest of the trees.

SavATree gave me excellent service on lawn care and tree/shrub.bush pruning and trimning. They arrive on time and are thoroughly professional. Mike from Sav-a-tree helped me with design ideas for my front and backyard. Theyre also top notch in tree removal and they even do Christmas lights! Very knowledgable in tree and lawn care especially in these tough drought months! It will be fun having some new things planted this spring!

Used this company for 2 years, mainly to rid our lawn of bind weed, spurge and dandelion of course. Fertilized 5 times. My lawn is terribly thin now. I contacted them when started seeing stressed areas and not much help was offered then. Again this spring I talked to arborist....he said put a can in yard, turn on sprinklers and call him back. Manager came out today. He blamed every bit of my problem on pine trees and sun and told me to rock it. I questioned 5 applications of fertilizer and he said mostly come out for weed control. Really? Then I pay $65 per application that Im not really getting? Talk about BS coming out of both sides of his mouth. Shame shame. Ever heard of YELP?

We spent some time a few mornings ago with Dan Simmons, arborist at SavaTree Fort Collins, who came for a consultation about our yard. It was an exceptionally enjoyable and informative morning! Dan is not only expert, but obviously relishes the chance to share his extensive knowledge of trees and landscape with homeowners. He has practical advice which he shares generously, but also much background knowledge from science and research that informs that advice. His enthusiasm for the health of natural environments is catching. We learned much that well put to use in maintaining and developing our yard, and had a most enjoyable morning in the process!

We hired SavaTree for our neighborhood association. They are so easy to work with and provide detailed plans to understand what they suggest for services, what house number and trees for that property are necessary for saving the trees and a price per service suggested. I loved the detail and ease of working with Mike! The neighborhood is thrilled with the work completed and we will continue to work with them in 2019!

Dan Simpson is the local arborist for SavATree. He is outstanding to work with. Dan explains whats going and and if he makes recommendations for service, explains why. I used Swingle to aerate my lawn. They called to reschedule due to wet weather. They didnt want to tear up my lawn with it being soggy, which I appreciated. When we did get the job done, I was happy to see they stayed away from the sprinkler heads and included a note about their visit (I was at work when the came by). They have a promise that if they do any damage to a sprinkler head, to call and they will replace it at no charge. That gives me peace of mind. I have since scheduled for tree trimming and expect the same professional service!

Will never use them or recommend them because of this. A company that will stoop that low to get business does not actually care about their customers.

Great experience with Swingle. Prompt responding to request for a bid on pruning flowering crab-apple tree and apple tree as well as for doing fertilization of ash tree. Bid was very consistent with bids received from other services but chose Swingle because of their demonstrated knowledge of how and when to do pruning and overall professionalism. Personnel sent to perform services came on date and time agreed upon and were very helpful in providing info on best approach to job. Did a GREAT job. these trees have never looked better and will be healthier trees as a result of their efforts. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tree service!

When ever I see my Swingle truck coming down my driveway I know its going to be a good day. Having Colson and Roberto come to my door was as always a pleasant experience. I dont know what Swingle does but their employees are happy to work for them, they do what they say they are going to do and they are on time. You cant hardly ask for more. Expensive, poor value, poor weed control, poor customer service. Was a Nitro Green customer with no complaints but they bailed on residential and recommended Swingles. 1st year: Received a very pricey ash tree EAB treatment and so-called pruning where they removed very little and charged me a lot. Weed kill was satisfactory though they cancelled several times on short notice which caused scheduling problems for me. 2nd year: It appears they changed to a less effective green weed killer and started using these stupid drive around carts to dispense, which left tire prints on my lawn. They leave an automated call as to what part of the day (AM or PM) they will arrive for treatment. I was out of the country for one of these calls and they applied the killer with my dog present. I called and told them this was unacceptable and they need to call me directly (no messages) to arrange a time. Next time they left an automated message. Their mixture is heavy on fertilizer and short on killer so had plenty of weeds along with fast growing grass that almost needed to be baled. The pre-emergent used in the spring was not effective as there were so many new weeds 3+ weeks after treatment. After two weeks the weeds looked stunned but roared back with a vengeance in week 3. Their policy says to call for a re-treatment within 2 weeks if there are still weeds. Well the customer service is so horrid and they cannot give a specific time when they will arrive that it was not worth that hassle. If their product were worth a darn, there would be no need to for this re-treatment statement. 3rd year: I found someone else for lawn care and never heard from Swingle until I got an automated message saying they were coming for lawn treatment. I told them (had to leave a message because no one would answer the phone) not to treat my yard and if they did I would not pay for it (the not paying for it part got their attention). The new lawn care service used effective weed killer and pre-emergent. A month after treatment and there are still no weeds. The new service also did not use fertilizer per my request so still have a green lawn without having to bale it after a mowing.

I have only used swingle for aeration service. ( So far ! ) I feel they were very well priced and the tech that came out was just great. He let me know when he arrived what he would be doing. Cleaned up his mess and talked with me when he was finished. I also like that you dont get pressured for more services. They give you quotes and leave it at that!

While it took 2 months to get the work done, the two gentlemen that did the work were amazing. V. Luna and Nick were professional, personable and through! They went over everything before they started, completed the work in a timely fashion and everything was cleaned and tidy before they left. I hope Swingle appreciates these two people!! I was very happy with their work.

We used Swingle years ago for tree trimming. Two large trees - a maple in front and a honey locust in back. They did a great job the first time so we called them again recently. They have done the honey locust and it looks much better. They are careful of the plantings around the trees; and the guys who did our work were knowledgeable and also asked before taking off some of the lower branches that were giving us some privacy from our neighbors. I will definitely use this company again.

Over priced, charged $65 for an aeration that should have been no more than $40. Several applications through out the year and the yard still had weeds. Just not impressed.
