I would recommend Turf Tamers to anyone needing professional landscaping help, from spring/fall cleanup to maintenance to irrigation systems. It took me a while to find the right company to do the right job but I couldn't be happier with this family-owned and operated company and their team of hard workers.
Turf Tamers does all my landscaping. They have planted bushes, trees and put in pebble walkways. They also take care of my lawn and all the cobble edges and mulch. Not to mention getting rid of the leaves in the autumn. Every person that works for them is so nice and hardworking. Brian, Mary and Timothy are wonderful.
Brian McKnight (owner) and his crew provide friendly comprehensive service. Not only did their bid come in a timely manner, but they also started work on the project quickly after I'd signed the contract. Brian provided guidance for how to take care of the new plants for both short and long term. He kindly turned on my irrigation system for the season (above and beyond), and came over (with his son, who clearly is learning the ropes-he was great) on a Saturday to troubleshoot a problem I was having. I've been working with Turf Tamers for three years quite happily, and I plan on continuing to use their tremendous service. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Our dogs have destroyed our yard. When I spoke with them, they came out and were able to do the work that week which we really appreciated because we are trying to sell our house. We were so glad they could do the work and so soon. They did a fabulous job and the crew was so nice and friendly. The yard looks great and I am so pleased. They did a wonderful job.
Our side yard has a steep slope with gravel and has been this way for years. We used Turf Tamers to put in a Flagstone walkway this past year and really liked thier work so we had them back to remove tons of rock on the sid yard. We discussed options them and came up with a breeze walkway going down the side yard with trees, shrubs and mulch. They also added a timber step and a timber retaining wall with the landscaping. The crew did some really nice work, very polite on time every day. They are are also very respectful of your property. The work was performed in a very timely manner. We would not hesitate to use them again.

Updated: Our experience this year was much better than in the past. Except for one delayed fertilizer application, everything was done correctly and on time. The price did go up considerably, so we didnt do a dethatching. I really want to like this company as they are nice people, but we have repeatedly had issues with them. First, they have missed sections of our yard when aerating and had to come back. Second, they are not timely. Today I was told that they would be here 9ish and that they would like someone to be home to show our crew where to aerate so they dont miss the strip that was overlooked in years past. It is now 1:30 and no one has shown up or called to explain the delay. This has happened before. Also, the price for aeration has more than doubled since 2020!

I had a great experience with Turf Tamers Landscaping. They responded quickly to my request for a bid, provided a professional detailed bid based on an expert review of the work, scheduled the work promptly and completed the work promptly with excellent personnel who were professional, good communicators, kept the site the tidy, and did great work in a timely way. I will use them again for future needs. My yard looks great thanks to them!!
We are very satisfied with how our grass & irrigation turned out! Staff has been amazing, Andrew has been a very great help with my questions & gets the job done as soon as possible without making us wait! I would definitely recommend them with any landscaping.
My husband and I are so impressed with how good a job Brian and his crew did on our yard. We were having a hard time keeping up on our yard and was getting overwhelming for us but they came in and mowed our yard cleaned up the leaves that had gotten out of hand for us and trimed some trees and cut back our hedge both on the yard side and on the street side and they halled it all away for us . This is the second time that we hired them and both times very happy with their work . I would recommend them to anyone needing anything done with their yard and now we can enjoy ours again. Thanks
Turf Tamers was hired to remove an old wooden deck off the back of our home, and install a paver patio, along with some tree/brush removal along the side of our home that was overgrown, and replace it with a flagstone path. Brian McKnight (owner, along with wife Mary), submitted a bid that was definitely in our budget and much lower than two other bids we sought. Along with that, there was some irrigation changes and other smaller jobs that we had Brian and his crew accomplish. At this time, our patio is finished, and looks great. I hope he posts some pictures of it on his website. While not multi-level or extremely extravagant by any means, Brian followed our design and made sure he got it the way we wanted. This adds great value to our home. The side yard is still a work in progress, since two window wells will need replacement, and so that job is around 50% finished. Brian and crew will return in a few short weeks after the wells are replaced and he can safely finish the side yard. Brian is very polite and professional, as were his two crew members that worked along side him. I would not hesitate in hiring Turf Tamers again for another project.
Turf Tamers has been our landscaping company for the past 6 years and have done an excellent job. Not only have they done what they are getting paid for, but they have made my lot and grounds look remarkable by going above and beyond what they are contracted to do monthly. They keep a close eye on all aspects of the trees, grass, shrubs, landscaping, etc., and if there is a problem they take care of it immediately.
