We recently used Michael Backes Landscaping to install a paver pathway and could not possibly be more happy with both the process and the results! We were very impressed with Michaels knowledge and experience, and he gave us a very fair price for the job. Every aspect of the job was done very conscientiously and timely, and all his work crew were extremely hardworking, courteous and friendly to have at our property. Their clean up of the work site upon completion of the project was immaculate, and the finished paver pathway is absolutely beautiful! We are certainly going to use Michael Backes Landscaping next time we need these services, and we are happy to give them our strong recommendation to others - you will be very happy with them!

We had Backes Landscaping do work twice on our property. Both times we were happy customers! We needed work on our new house to make sure water flowed around the house properly. They installed a dry stream bed that looks great. The work also involved culverts and drainage tiles. They installed a natrual stone entry path that is beautiful. We have recommended Michael to other neighbors and wouldnt hesitate to call him for future work.

Michael is a the ultimate professional. He did a great job on our flagstone patios and walkways. We also wanted extensive rock beds and plantings done and Michaels work exceeded our expectations. He is always reliable and dependable. Cant wait to use him on our next project in July!!

Michael helped us with designer for our landscaping plan on new home build and did a great job of implementing the plans and installing everything to exactly what we wanted(May 2021). He also replaced a few plants that didn t survive the winter. Great job!

Mike and his team knocked it out if the park! We needed additional parking next to our driveway that was on a slope I wasn t sure how this could be accomplished since there was 2 drainage spots that needed to drain and on such a big slope. Mike designed 2 drains where they needed to go and brought in some big rock for a retaining wall. He also incorporated some flag stone steps that look awesome! It works really well and looks way better than expected!

I highly recommend Michael Backes Landscaping LLC. Michael quoted a job to demo a retaining wall which was deteriorating and replace with a stacked rock bed using existing materials. When the demo was finished, I learned there was not enough exiting material to complete the job. Michael made it very easy by providing some scrap material. I was appreciative that Michael had a way to complete the job on my budget and that he and his crew went to extra effort to complete the job to my satisfaction. We had Mike summerize our fountains again this year at Restaurant 415. Once again he did a great job, was timely and fairly priced.

Michael replaced an old wooden retaining wall that was burned in the Cameron Peak fire with a rock/rip rap wall and installed crushed concrete on our long mountain driveway. His crew was very easy to work with and listened to our needs/questions. I will use Michael and Backes Landscaping again.

Michael was a pleasure to work with. I live overseas and wanted a sprinkler system installed at my home in Fort Collins. He gave me a bid and an approximate time of installation depending on weather conditions as it was getting close to wintertime. Normally things a homeowner would have taken care of, such as having a plumber come and install the backflow valve, Michael took care of for us. He contacted a qualified plumber to come to do the work. Michael would communicate with my daughter who is living in our home, about when the workers would be coming and what they would be doing. He also kept in touch with me since I was working overseas. Because it was late in the year (fall) and not a good time to turn the sprinklers on he said they would be out in the spring as soon as weather permitted. I also asked for the design layout of the sprinkler system since I was not at the location of the installation and was unable to see the layout. Michael promptly provided that information. When spring arrived and weather permitted they were out and completed the job. They filled in all the low spots and seeded areas that needed reseeding because of equipment. Several weeks later my daughter sent me before and after pictures of the yard and I was amazed at the difference. She also said it was the greenest lawn in the cul de sac. Michael is a true professional and did everything he said he would and personally came out to check to make sure things were working well. I highly recommend him for any yard work or design that needs to be done.

When other places didnt listen to what we wanted, and said they could not give me an estimate until after they had started work, Michael at Backes Landscaping listened carefully to my wife and me, and did exactly what we had envisioned, and it was even better than we had hoped for. Michael listened to what we wanted, was happy to do some changes we were thinking of, and was happy to use a little of our existing landscaping materials in order to save us a little money. The final bill was even a little less than the estimate. Cant recommend Backes Landscaping enough. We will give him a call when we want to do the backyard.
