They worked tirelessly for days to haul off pea gravel, bring in new soil, excavate the entire back yard, and bring in new trim and rock, as well as custom fit flagstone. This project was completed within budget and in record time. To top it all off, the company answered the phone, and called us back within hours of initiating contact, a rarity especially given the fact that it is winter and a holiday season! He communicated about timing and delays throughout the spring and summer and adjusted things as needed by my HOA. His crew was very kind, polite, and respectful of my family and property. Our irrigation system was put in 40 years ago & needed some attention. We tried a few different businesses & finally found Advanced Lanscaping. Their technicians have always been responsive & technically proficient while simultaneously being cost aware. I am very satisfied with their service & am really happy to have found a company we can rely on.

TL:DR; I hired Advanced Sprinkler. Their tech Travis reprogrammed my system to go off at odd times. I got in touch and simply asked them to fix it. They said said no, unless you pay us $55. I decided to do it myself instead Bad service, bad experience, buyer beware. REVIEW: I paid $200 for sprinkler service, but later realized that they had reprogrammed my system to go off at odd times. Travis (the service tech) had informed me had changed the start times, but I was not aware of the problem it would cause until it surfaced later. I contacted them and asked for help to reset it, but they refused to fix the issue - they had caused - unless I agreed to pay a $65 service fee. Later Audrey offered a discount of $10 to $55, but again the problem occurred as a direct result of their service (reprogramming the control box), not because of a faulty system or anything I had done. Because of their unwillingness to correct the issue - again, that they caused - without first charging a fee just to show up, I would say there is a definite lack in commitment to quality and service here - and despite claims to the contrary, an unwillingness to stand by work that they in fact performed. The issue was further exacerbated by a condescending tone over text from Audrey. She actually wished me good luck in fixing the problem myself - and if you choose to work with this company, I wish you the same EDIT: I only wish the commitment to service was as quick and thorough as the response to a critical review. Sadly, public posting seems to be the only recourse these days Sigh. I happily and promptly paid for work done, the reprogrammed system was malfunctioning as a direct result of said reprogramming by Travis. I simply asked for it to be fixed or reset to how it was prior to the visit. I should not have to pay to fix a problem that a company caused. Advanced Landscaping felt I should be charged for fixing something they had done. Simple as that. Yes, there are costs associated with returning to fix a problem, but those costs should not be passed on to a customer when the problem was created by the initial visit. I ended up googling and troubleshooting - and was able to figure it out on my own. Took me a couple of hours to diagnose the issue and reset the system to how it was prior to their visit - would have taken them 5 minutes and they would have had a customer for life. My review stands - the repair work to my sprinklers and lines was fine, but the response to a simple programming mistake by your tech was a disaster. It s a shame, but service in this regard was completely and totally lacking - and the response below clearly demonstrates how others can expect to have their issues similarly resolved. * Correction: I replied to a text from Audrey and said that I would not be using your service any longer since you were asking me to pay a fee to fix a problem that Travis created when he reprogrammed the system. I tried to change it back and it didn t work, so I ultimately had to erase all settings and start over. Also, I did not get mad - that s an absurd statement. I think disappointed is more accurate and that s what is reflected in my unemotional and accurate review. That said, the customer blaming and defensive response simply proves the point. I would instead encourage channeling that energy into customer service and standing by your work.

Travis came initially and reviewed my sprinkler system. I knew some of the problems he identified. He gave me a quote and we set up a date for the work. Travis and his crew came today. It was supposed to be 4-6 hours. They were done on 3 1/2. They were prompt, courteous and very professional. I am very happy with the work.

I want to set the record straight. My last review was unfair because they hadnt done the work yet. Now they have done the work beautifully. They were here the Wednesday we had heavy rain, and couldnt work for the next two days while everything dried out. On the following Monday, they came as scheduled. By Tuesday they had all the work done and had covered the trenches so that they were undetectable. Adam and his crew were friendly, professional and a joy to work with. They even found a turtle in the yard and made sure it was safe, had a cricket and water. Found a snake too. (I live on abutting a drainage ditch.) I would hire them to do any type of lawn care and sprinkler install. Two thumbs up!!!

As a business owner, James was responsive to my questions before and after the bid process. His crew, led by Adam, were professional, easy to talk with, hard working, and paid attention to details. We had a mess of a backyard, and a relatively large one at that. The team did an excellent job with the design of our landscape, removal of a lot of debris, grading and leveling the areas that needed attention, and installing the irrigation system and new sod. Adam and team accommodated my requests for changes in stride, and the costs felt very fair for the work performed. Advanced transformed our back yard from one of shame to one of pride! We re still in the stage of allowing the sod to take root, but I m confident that the work was done to meet my high standards. And, if we have any issues, I m also sure that James, Adam, and team will help me out. I d happily call them first for any future landscape-related projects.

Jacob takes care of our VERY old sprinkler system and he identified a potential issue we had with an outdoor faucet and we were able to get it looked at and repaired before it was a huge problem. My regular sprinkler tech got sick and was not able to reroute the sprinkler water line. This needed to be done before concrete was to be poured for a step on front porch of our home. I had a sprinkler zone that had lost all pressure and the heads wouldnt pop up. While other companies said they were too busy heading into fall blowouts, Advanced was able to get me scheduled in under a week and were right on time. 2 hours of digging and tree root busting later, they identified the pipes that were pinched off due to being wrapped in tree roots, cut out the mangled mess, and had everything up and running again. Ill be calling these guys for all of my future sprinkler system needs!

Jacob from Advanced Landscaping and Sprinklers was out this am to repair a supply line in our irrigation system. He was punctual (actually early but called ahead to alert us) and was quickly able to find the source of the problem - a settling rock had cracked the pipe for one of the zones. We were impressed by how efficiently he replaced the broken section. He took the time to also answer several questions we had on other zones and an issue we had with the Rainbird Wifi module. We felt he truly understood the Rainbird system. We would certainly call them again for any issues in the future and dont hesitate to recommend them for irrigation needs.

The repair person was not wearing a mask, even though we answered the door with our masks on. The pandemic is raging and this is irresponsible. This company obviously does not care about the safety of its clients. Very disappointing.

When you are a first time home owner there are many firsts that happen in year one. A lawn and sprinkler system was one of these for us and we used Advanced Landscaping & Sprinklers to blow out our sprinkler system this past fall 2018. Very poor service. I scheduled a clean up with James at our home last Monday. He assured me his guy would be at my home on Friday at 8:30 am. When I called to follow up, he did not answer my call and has yet to respond to my calls to get something rescheduled. I made him aware that the timing was critical in getting photographs done for the sale of our home. Things can come up, but communication and professional courtesy would seem to be the building blocks of a solid business.

Worst landscaping company in Fort Collins. James has no idea what he is doing when it comes to sprinkler repairs, he charged me $1168.00 for a sprinkler repair that he didnt fix and then wont answer his phone or return a phone call. I received 1 email from him stating he would stop by on a Saturday to fix the repair and then NO SHOWED. If you want a contractor who screws you, then this guys is for you. DONT USE THIS GUY. HES A FRAUD.

I dont usually give reviews. However, given the size of the project I recently had done and the extraordinary quality of work Advanced Landscaping & Sprinklers provided. I feel that in this case, its warranted... I contacted James (the owner/operator) about getting an estimate on having a complete sprinkler system installed as well as laying new sod on my entire property (both front and back yard). This included pulling up the old sod and putting in several rock beds as well. James was very professional and friendly from the get-go. He listened to exactly what I wanted and paid close attention to very specific requests that I had. I got estimates from 6 other landscaping companies, but James gave me the best price. I was initially a little bit leery about the price James quoted me being so low, because Ive learned that when it comes to projects such as this, you usually get what you pay for... shoddy work, cheap materials and cutting corners at every opportunity. Thankfully, that wasnt the case here! James and his entire crew did a fantastic job from start to finish, and gave me exactly what I wanted. I was most impressed by how meticulous and thorough they were and their close attention to detail. James did a great job of communicating and keeping me well informed of what was going on every step of the way. Even with several days of uncooperative weather causing delays, his crew would arrive early and stay late in order to accomplish as much work as Mother Nature would allow. The end result turned out even better than I expected and I couldnt be happier! When the project was complete, James came over bright and early the next morning just to make sure everything was operating smoothly and there were no problems. I highly recommend Advanced Landscaping & Sprinklers and will be working with them again on future projects!

We got four estimates for a new sprinkler installation. James came out and looked at our yard. He was very responsive on getting us an estimate. His estimate was a tad bit high, but we liked his enthusiastic approach so we felt comfortable going with him. He did not ask for money upfront like the other estimators had, he just did the job after we hired him. His crew are very friendly and professional. Chad was the installer and did a complete walk-through after the job was done to ensure it worked correctly. Our sprinkler system comes with a three-year warranty and a few weeks after they were done with the job there was a leak that popped up. When we reported that leak to James he had Chad here the same day to fix the leak! We highly recommend James and his crew as it was a pleasurable experience through and through.

Matt, James and crew from Advanced Landscaping did a great job on the work they completed at my home recently. They built an amazing water feature, repaired some damage to our irrigation system, replaced some mulch, buried some outdoor speaker wire and moved some sprinkler heads and drip system to accommodate some freshly planted trees and bushes. They did the job quickly, professionally and always maintained the highest respect for our property and time. Thanks again for a job well done!

We had issues from the beginning. James is a nice guy and I think if he had done the work himself, we would have had a better outcome. Not only did our simple landscaping take weeks, the kids he hired were unmotivated and spent a lot of time on their cell phones. After we had enough, we hired another company to plant our trees and flowers. They had to fix major issues with the irrigation system that James guys did. This spring there are weeds everywhere, as the barrier they used is not commercial grade and was laid poorly. James was very nice, but his lack of presence during our landscape installment showed in the sub-par work his guys preformed.

Brian came in the morning and gave me a quote on a leaking manifold repair, came back when he said he would, took out the root bound unit, replaced 3 manifolds and was done the same day. Asked about some other work that I might want done and he indicated an expected cost. Its a relatively old system and Im selling soon so he didnt recommend that I have the work done as the entire system will likely need to be replaced in a number of years and doing one station at a time wouldnt be cost effective for us in the short term. Appreciated his honesty, friendly demeanor and attitude doing a job that frankly Im too old and tired to do myself anymore.

My husband and I moved to Fort Collins last summer where we moved into a beautiful house but the lawn was horrific!! We contacted various landscaping companies and found one that was very reasonable and was willing to take full payment after completion of the project. We hired Advanced Landscaping & Sprinklers to lay a new sprinkler system and French drain at my house, and James and his crew did a fantastic job for me. Not only did they put in a top quality Rain Bird system, but they also prepared my lawn and laid Kentucky Bluegrass sod, pruned my oak trees, removed my old and dying hedges, prepared my flowerbeds and planted various plants for me. And each time I would add something else for James to do, I would always know exactly what the additional costs would be...in other words, there was no surprise involving my final invoice. James and his crew treated us with respect and communicated any delays they were encountering. They finished the job on time and walked us through the setup and operation of the sprinkler system. I honestly cant say enough about James and the rest of his men. There was no job they couldnt handle for me (and I threw a lot of extras at them). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ADVANCED LANDSCAPING & SPRINKLERS for any landscaping needs you have!!

I would highly recommend Advanced Landscaping. Our backyard was a dirt lot and James was very helpful in our new design. He didnt try to pressure us into things we didnt want or need and suggested a French drain so we wouldnt wash out our neighbors garden anymore. Our estimate was priced well (we got quotes from 3 other companies as well). We had a sprinkler and drip system installed, rock border, and sod. They put in some nice curvature, so we dont have a big rectangle yard. The crew was very personable, friendly, and hard working. They finished our yard a day and a half ahead of schedule and walked us through our sprinkler system. Payment was due upon completion and final walkthrough to make sure we were completely satisfied. We have ideas for more to be done and will certainly be calling James and staff when we are ready. Thanks for a great experience! We really appreciate all of you and your work.

I have been so thrilled with the work of James and his crew. James installed fencing, irrigation, and landscaping in my backyard. James was the first one to respond to my calls and came out same day and emailed me a quote the same night, with a book before March discount. Due to some unexpected family medical issues we put the landscaping on hold and didnt call him back until almost April. James honored his original bid and even included the same discount even though we were booking almost a month later! His bid was thousands less than the four other bids I received and his work was OUTSTANDING! His guys came out and worked really hard and did a great job! We had them partition our yard off and create a dog run. They set the posts for the fence and my fiance and I built the rest, but when we had trouble stringing the cattle fencing to its facade, James and his crew stopped working and spent 45 minutes helping us...for free! Each time during several unexpected freezes this spring, James has come out to the house and taken the necessary steps to prevent our sprinkler system for freezing/breaking. Since he completed his work, he has been out to my house at least 5 or 6 times to check on his work. I could go on and on, but if you want someone who will communicate with you, do a great job, and come in thousands less than competition then James with Advanced Landscaping is your man.

This company did my neighbors landscape and created a huge dip in the slope on my property where the properties meet to drain properly. So all winter there was an annoying puddle. Also, now that we are getting a fence it was noticed they installed my neighbors landscape over a foot beyond their property line (on another neighbors side) and refuse to correct the problem. Well, at least for 3 months they are booked out (to do an hour or so of corrective work) and of course they will charge a fee for their own mistake. As a professional landscaper I would think they would rely on appropriate measurement procedures to ensure they are doing what they are supposed to. Guess eye-balling it is good enough for these guys. Glad we didnt choose them!

My wife and I moved into a new home and only the front yard landscaping was included. I hired James, along with a few of my neighbors, to complete the backyard landscaping. James was prompt with a bid and was very reasonable. We had him install a sprinkler system, rock, edging, sod, and a breeze pathway. His work was great and he even fixed some of the sloppiness that I was left with from the front yard landscaping company. James was working alongside his guys most of the time. He kept me updated and ensured that the product was as I wanted it. His crew worked harder than I have seen anyone work. They worked extra days on the weekend to keep the project moving. He was responsive to my requests, emails and telephone calls.

After the High Park Fire we decided to install a sprinkler and drip system to keep a green boundary around our house. After reading a few reviews, we called three different companies. We decided on Advanced after our call was returned promptly (minutes later on a Sunday evening!) and their bid was the most reasonable. James and his installers worked with us to create an efficient and effective system. They honored our requests for aesthetic placement of heads, equipment, etc. We also learned that there are certain issues which need to be addressed with sprinkler systems in the foothills, the biggest being water pressure. No problem was too big for James and his crew, he addressed them quickly and effectively. He had his truck up here at the end of the season to blow out the system before the first snow and answers my calls promptly whenever I have a question. We will we doing more work in the future and will definitely be using Advanced Landscaping & Sprinklers.

HATED my experience with Advanced Landscaping & Sprinklers. We hired them to do yard sprinklers and a drip system in our raised garden beds. The yard sprinklers were great, except for cigarette butts we found in our backyard. We obviously have dogs as there are dog toys and water bowls in the yard, perfectly visible. That we could have tolerated so long as our dogs didnt find it first and get tobacco poisoning. I highly doubt Advanced Landscape and Sprinklers would pay for the veterinary bills due to tobacco poisoning. SO that wasnt that bad. Their communication was awful. Here one day, not the next, no phone calls to let us know when they would be here and if they wouldnt. They kept saying they would be finished today which happened 3 or 4 days. What I am most upset about it is how they installed, if you can call it that, the tubing for the sprinkler heads in the garden. Before, we have a drip hose running across all the beds. The guy had the nerve to make fun of our system. Well their system is exactly the same, except the big ugly black hose was attached to sprinkler heads. THEY DIDNT EVEN BURY THE HOSE! And it runs across two beds in such a way there is no way to walk through without tripping over a big black hose. Upon calling to discuss our concerns, they said they were done. And of course they asked for payment in advance of finishing so that they wouldnt have to do anything about it. I DO NOT recommend using Advanced Landscaping and Sprinklers. I had a horrible experience and I am going to the better business bureau to hopefully prevent other people from paying for service they are not satisfied with.

I had a wonderful experience with ALC. James and his crew were polite, professional, willing to work with our budget, they got the job done very quickly, were very thorough, and dealt with unexpected issues with consideration and expertise. They did an excellent job and I will have them back to do further work in the future. A pleasure to work with. Oh, and if they left the flier when you werent there, how could you know it was they who knocked your flowers over?

I recently found a flyer for advanced lawn care and decided to call them. The gentalmen on the phone (james) was very informative and courtious and came and gave me a bid to do some landscaping in a very fast paced schedule and was very conciderate to my schedule. The work he performed was way above my expectations, and i was very satisfied with the quality and how conciderate james and his crew where with respect for my neighbors and keeping the existing landscape in place with little to no disturbance. I would recomend this company to anyone needing good landscape work and he beat any bid I had already recieved prior.
