My wife and I would have loved to have worked with Dakin. At our initial meeting he was prompt, friendly, understood our vision and had lots of great feedback. He said he'd put together a proposal and get back to us. That was two months ago and we've not heard a word from him since. During that time, I've texted, left a voicemail, and emailed him through his website to determine whether or not he was still interested in working with us. I even explained that if he had changed his mind and was no longer interested in the job, that we would understand. But please articulate that. Still no response from Dakin. I'm sure he does great work. All the other reviews seem to think so. But if you're looking for a landscaper who communicates well, Dakin probably isn't your guy.

The Canvas Landscaping & Design team were fantastic to work with for our backyard makeover, we had no idea where to start and Dakin took the time to walk us through every step, while ensuring we were part of the makeover journey from start to finish. Our backyard has transformed from an eye sore to a beautiful oasis! My wife found Canvas Landscaping online and after seeing the pictures we decided to arrange a consultation, best choice we could have made. We were looking to redo the "Builders Special" landscaping in the front yard. Dakin came out asked what we had in mind which was very little we knew we wanted turf, some form of step-out in the parking strip, and low maintenance. As to style we were looking at coastal Mediterranean. We have received many compliments since the job was completed which we have to contribute to Dakin's design and Craig's expert skill. We are amazed at the finished product and plan to have them come back to do the planting and some minor changes in the backyard in the near future.

He listened to what we wanted, brought us options for materials that were within our budget and provided us with a very thorough and easy to understand proposal with both a reasonable and speedy turn time for all the work involved.
