Had a core aeration and seeding done today. Service tech Julia did a great job and was very friendly and professional. In the 5 years of using TruGreen, we have only had one issue, and that was addressed and taken care of very quickly. My yard looks better every year, and I appreciate TruGreen always listening and helping find solutions to keep my yard looking good.

He was super friendly, very knowledgeable and listened to the concerns I had regarding new grass seed/straw that we just put down by our pool area. What a nightmare!!! I didn’t want to chemical garbage sprayed on my property at all, but my husband chose to order it anyways. We had a technician come out today and start spraying before talking to me to be informed of what I didn’t want sprayed. Several of my garden beds that are full of edible plants were all sprayed and it specifically says on the website that garden beds are not sprayed. I found this out by looking at our cameras after the technician left, but when at my house the tech lied to my face and said the garden beds were not sprayed. I walked around the property with the technician pointing out all the edible beds and areas I didn’t want sprayed. After the technician, left I saw on video where an additional bed I said not to spray, was sprayed anyways. I also have on video the technician running over a piece of garden art that was a Mother’s Day gift. I noticed the damage when walking our property with the technician but wasn’t sure at that time if trugreen did it or a delivery driver. I found out on video that it was trugreen and the technician walked right by it with me and didn’t say a thing or take responsibility. Apparently they won’t spray garden beds…. See videos below of all of the damage being done. The rep my husband signed up with said to call her number directly if we need anything. I left two voicemails and no response. Looks like we paid to for trugreen to come decimate our edible garden and garden art and then ignore calls.
The do a great job and made my lawn look 100 % better in just one season. No weeds and just full and green. Highly recommend.

I was outside blowing leaves from the front door and waved at Micah as he was winding the hose up. He saw me waved, got in the truck and after about 5 minutes drove off. The report says he knocked on the door and no one answered is not accurate.
Called TruGreen to advise them of some weeds I had in the yard. I have tree and shrub service and they respond the next day and addressed the problem with an application to my lawn.

Asked for a quote and decided not to use their business. Trugreen started calling 3-5 times a day after the initial quote and even continued after requesting to be taken off their call list. Completely unprofessional and unrelenting with unwanted phone calls.

Once again TruGreen has proven to me why I was canceling service. Cancelled after last year, got a call from a supervisor who authorized a discounted rate for this year and said he would personally stay in touch about my issues. Only heard from him after first application. They came today and only treated front yard. Apparently the unlocked gate to the back yard was too hard for the tech to figure out how to open even though they have done it before. Called to complain and got the usual runaround. Tech was here less than five minutes total - and I verified by not only being here, but watching the footage from security cameras. Thanks for another subpar performance TruGreen!!

Update: Trugreen sent a tech out to re-treat the weeds; he was here about 2 minutes and left (I have about an acre and a half lot). So, my entire yard is full of weeds and getting worse. Trugreen response is that they will be back out in August. They have already taken my money for the first treatment, mind you. Cancelling tomorrow. I ll learn to commune with the clover and other weeds I suppose. Against my better judgment, I tried Trugreen again. Their original quote was a bit pricey, so I declined. Then an account manager called promising rainbows and unicorns, so I gave it a try. While talking with this manager, I specifically asked him what I should do if I have issues, to which he stated, just text or call me. So the first application did not kill all of the weeds, and I texted this guy and phoned him; no response and have never heard back. But it gets better .I call the main office in Florence, but I m assuming they have these calls going overseas. These people are trained to say, I m sorry, ;over and over without actually assisting you. I finally got a date for a re-application, but the tech they sent came to the door and said, Sorry, I can t help you. All I have on the truck is fertilizer, and you need weed spray. . So, I called again and the friendly lady said, Oh, so sorry, they will be out tomorrow. They have yet to come out. In my experience, this is a company that has a guarantee that doesn t guarantee anything. I hope my experience will help someone make a good decision.

In the summary of service Charles stated that he knocked on my door and I did not answer so he left a summary on the door. This is not true. He did not knock on my door and he did not leave a summary on my door. He also stated that the lawn is in good shape which is not true. I have as much crab grass and weeds as lawn. I should not have to follow him around to insure proper service but since trusting does not work, I will supervise all future applications.

For starters the salesperson who came to my door promised me a bunch of services that I was later told were not included. I paid for 6 treatments received 4 and when we asked for the 2 they didn t provide they charged us again. This is one of the worst organizations you could sign up with. Please save yourself from these fraudsters and go with someone else.

Had some weeds through out the year but not enough to raise hell about. I had nutsedge and they took care of it in one application. Overall a good job. I will go with them again this year.
Update: after discussing with corporate and local office. Tried giving them another year. Continue to have issues. They are not treating entire yard and trees. Recommendation: go with another company. Much less of a headache. Buyer beware with this company. The lawn service is wonderful for the appearance of your yard, but very sketchy business tactics on the other end. Customer service could care less about any concerns you have and shows no empathy for their clients. Issues with incorrect billing took calling them 3x for the issue to be corrected. I have also had difficulty with getting edges of my yard serviced even after multiple phone calls. For this reason I do not recommend. Very disappointed as I liked the appearance of the treated lawn but not worth the hassle with so many other options available.
Claimed to fertalize my lawn however ring doorbell/cameras say they did not. Claimed to do our back yard and we did not want , ask, pay for that service. We have 5 dogs and did not want anyone in the back yard because of the dogs and 30 plus dog toys outside. I called and was told several times a manager will call me within 24-48 hours from the phone call I made. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
TruGreen called me and sent me mail for months. We went to Home & Garden Show and decided to give them a shot. I was told several different things from several different people. Then the local branch called me and provided promises and guarantees. I was extremely excited as the yard needs help. They came out and did a pre treatment and were gone in 10 mins. I asked what it was they did and I was told Pre Emergent. I was told they would take a soil sample (no sample was taken). After a month had gone by, I started reaching out to the local rep who said to call him for anything. He did not respond to any of my text. I decided to call, he sent to vm and text stating he would call me later that night. He never called and the app is stating that nothing else has been scheduled. I was willing to pay, you approached me? What is the problem with businesses today, no customer service or follow through. Go with anyone else other than TruGreen!
Michael Dalton is FABULOUS!!! Michael is so considerate, kind, efficient on OH SO SMART!! He was so patient in walking around my yard so I could show him all my bare spots and mounds of weeds. He called the office to check on my overseeding/aeration schedule...such an insightful thing to do. So he reserviced my lawn and I watched him...spraying the thick weeds carefully to cover everything; no one has done that before with such care. He is polite, humble, well-spoken and knows his product. I REALLY hope you can put him in charge of training new hires. What he has...you cant teach. He needs to be recognized, valued and respected for above and beyond service. Im sure others feel this way but many people dont take the time to let you know. I also hope this gets to his supervisor as well as senior management. Truly, hes a great asset to the company and SOMEBODY should know it. Thank you for sending him. In the future, I would like to request that Michael Dalton be the ONE AND ONLY technician to service my yard. Can you do that please? I know there may be times when its not possible but when it is, I want Michael at my house. Thank you so much for having this fine young man in your employ!

They sold me a service and never gave me that service! I was suppose to be getting certain area but ended not getting those areas for the last two months.
I have had Chem Lawn/True Green for almost 20 years. I have had weeds in my lawn for over a month. My first call to customer service was a month ago. I was told the weeds would be treated the following week. No call no service that week. I have followed up every week since then and have asked for a manager to call me. I have not gotten a call from a manager after 4 requests. They keep telling me that my service is scheduled for the next week. Nobody shows up to do the service or call. The timeline does not allow for 7 treatments if you are treating the lawn every 3 months. They said they were here in July. I am very disappointed with the customer service. I have always gotten good service from them. At least they didn t use the in these times excuse. The customer service people are very nice and apologetic on the phone. Update .2022 and Tru Green has been great this year. They have performed all of the services as agreed this year. They treated my yard twice and then called for payment. They deducted the services that I didn t receive last year off of my bill this year. They text the day before the service and call the day of. I haven t had an issue with weeds this year so I haven t requested any additional services. I changed my rating from a 1 to a 4 star review.
I have used this company for 20 years and in the last 3 years or so they are terrible. Of course everyone blames covid and maybe some of it is true but what you read on the marketing page is NOT true. I know what they say but it is not true. I have called or a missed service 5 times and they continue to re-schedule me. You get someone from outside of America with no understanding or real concern for your needs or frustrations. This has to do with the CORPORATE mentality. They will cajole you with all the sweet marketing techniques but when it comes to really performing they are not the same company. It is ashamed to see how they respond to issues. Supervisors will not talk to you and one cannot get in touch with the local office or corporate has been my experience. Think many times before you choose this corporate non- caring company in the future.

TruGreen has always given us excellent service and kept us well informed as to what our ongoing lawn needs are.
I love the fact that our yard is the only one on the block without dandelions. It seems to help the grass tremendously. The thing that I do not like is that TrueGreen sends texts messages and calls all of the time trying to sell more of their services. I work 3rd shift and I m constantly woken up. I would recommend their weed control, and pest control services, but many of the others seems to be very expensive.
My lawn and shrubs look great! I get compliments all the time. The best part is the little time that I have to devote to it. All I have to do is enjoy it.
We used TruGreen for mosquito defense. They were never their when they say they would be. The service was not great it would last maybe a week. We got a free service because I called regarding bad service. The next time they came they charged me for my free service plus one I ve payed for!!! I will never hire them again and if you do I highly recommend not paying for 6 months in advance even it s cheaper!

Didnt see any differences in my lawn, each time they came the paper said saw weeds treated for weeds, but I usually could do that Scotts weed stuff and not see any. Also the guy came and left within a min. Not sure how any yard could be treated that quickly especially with having to go into a backyard, then had a free service because of yard not being treated and the very next one after that was by the guy who didnt do my yard the first time. Hate worrying about whether or not I need to turn my cameras on to make sure a service I paid for is being done, and not seeing any results. Also paid for aeration and overfseeding told that would be done in a couple weeks, called to find out when it was happening since nothing yet and was told it is scheduled for next September, Im just done with them. Hate that I wasted my money.

No one would answer and their online chat service is a joke. As a new customer who scheduled service and they changed it and now I can t figure out when someone is coming out. Customer service is god awful
They never answer the phone. Always a 1-2 hour wait. They indicate they re treating my lawn. Leave no invoice. In a follow up, received a call from TruGreen rep. When I told him that hired a new service, he hung up on me. This company is very unprofessional. In addition, I received a full refund on the prepayment amount that I paid.

16 Jun 21 - We are totally UNSATISFIED with Trugreens lawn service. I have prepaid the 2021 season and have received only one lawn application since 24 Mar 2021. Jericho H. serviced our lawn last year and on 24 Mar 2021. He did an outstanding job and is the reason why we continued with Trugreen this season. Our 2nd service has been scheduled 3 times but Trugreen has failed to show. Customer service has been called 3-4 times to inquire why lawn our service has not been done. Customer service agents had no good reason for the no shows? Instructions on how to get to our address have been confirmed and are in the notes. I have requested a General Manager to call me at least twice to discuss this issue but have received no response. We are on the verge of cancelling this service and require a full refund if this situation is not corrected. If Trugreen is truly concerned about customer Service a General Manager needs to contact me ASAP. 19 Jun 21 - Ive prepaid for the entire year for 8 services and have received only one application since Mar 24, 2021. Ive called Trugreen no less than 4 times to discuss this issue and have messaged them 1 time. Ive also requested multiple times to have a General Manager to call me to discuss this issue but have not received a call. To make things right, Trugreen would need to schedule my next service immediately or refund all my money. UPDATE: 23 Jun 2021 I received a call from Bonnie on 19 Jun 2021 assuring me that the 4th attempt to my 2nd service of the season would happen on 22 Jun 2021. Sadly, it did not. Once again I was informed that the technician was unable to perform the service. The situation was made worse when I called to talk to Customer Support about another missed service the automated operator stated that the service was cancelled at my request - IT WAS NOT! Ive requested the servicing store to contact me (talk to me not leave a message) but that hasnt happened either. How is TruGreen going to fix this?

Knocking it out of the park. Signed up in May... They didnt treat til the end of June. Then they provide every excuse in the book as to why the lawn looks worse now than before their treatments at the end of July. Goal was to have a nice lawn for the summer.... Not excuses til the end of summer. Will update if this is rectified but my confidence is very low and frustration is very high. I should have read our Nextdoor reviews... 50+ negative comments. Ugh!
Service tech arrived and only sprayed my front yard and did nothing on the sides or back. Called 3 times same day to get resolution and never received call back from tech. Will call again today to cancel service and request refund as this is unacceptable.

Signed up in April for the TruHealth plan, plus seeding and aeration. Its my first year in this house and the lawn is terrible, which is where Id of hoped TruGreen would of come in. Hoped. TruGreen has been an absolute disaster. Ill gloss over watching your techs lie about performing the services they said they did because youve made that right, but I cant gloss over the fact that my lawn is trash and more weed than grass. This has been an complete waste of money and more importantly a waste of year to get my lawn in better shape. Im sure your half effort approach works fine for established lawns, but it doesnt work for mine. I know I dont use my real name for these and Im sure Ill get some generic response, but we have already talked and no progress has been made, people should know that before doing business with you.
Prepaid for 5 services in 2020, only received 4. They came and sprayed in June this year, I thought that was just the 5th service I paid for. Then I received a text that they were coming again this Monday. I checked my account online, it turns out they auto renewed my service, and charged me for June even though I was shorted one last year and were going to just keep coming. Also to cancel service you have to call, no way to do it on the website. Why? The services last year were working ok, but they rip you off. Terrible company won t use them again.
There Service it TERRIBLE. I have tried several times to discuss the service and get no where! I do not recommend anyone use TRU Green service. Also there phone call system it terrible. The service they provided at my house produced more weeds that when i was doing the service myself. True Green service is a minus five start service DO NOT USE
I had TruGreen for a number of years at my prior residence and had always been satisfied. At the beginning of 2021, I moved to a new home and contacted TruGreen to cancel service at my prior home and to start at my new home. I had received fertilizer treatments in March, April, and June. Earlier this month (September), I thought that it had been a long time since seeing anything being done, but I could not verify it since my log in information was tied to the prior address. I called and the service rep agreed that I had not had anything done since June 12th, even though I had prepaid for the year. She said that she would schedule a visit at the start of this week. Today I called in again saying that I still had not been scheduled for a treatment and the service rep agreed that I had probably been skipped for one or two treatments and then she said but why did you wait so long to call. (I did not know it was my duty to track them.) When i said I wanted to get someone out as soon as possible to treat my lawn, I was told there were no free appointment times this week or next. I asked to talk to a supervisor or manager, and the gal got flustered and said I told you we have no free times on our schedule, and hung up on me. I left a message on TruGreens customer email system, but thought I should highlight this episode for everyones benefit.
I was signed up for an 8-treatment plan for the 2021 season. I got my first service Mar 24, then service on June 3. Then as September arrived, I noticed my lawn was looking quite unhealthy, and realized they hadn t treated it in 3 months (I auto-pay, so I wasn t really paying attention). I called customer service who apologized and said someone would come that week. I wasn t put on the schedule. The location left a voice mail saying they had been struggling with staffing issues and to call if there were anymore issues. I called back after not being placed on the schedule as promised and got a new promise that they would arrive in 2 days. I asked to see that on my service schedule online and was told I d get an email in a few minutes confirming but it could take a few hours to show up online. The email didn t arrive. And it never appeared in my account online. So I called to cancel so I could hire a new lawn service. Twice I went through the automated menu on the phone and was disconnected while on hold. So I tried online chat instead. I waited in line on chat for 25 minutes. Once an agent arrived, I said I wanted to cancel. My chat was disconnected but then another agent showed up and then completely ended the chat. At this point I was 40 minutes into trying to cancel my account. I tried the phone system again and got someone. When I said I wanted to cancel, they offered to get someone out the next day. I said it was too late, and that they had lost my trust. I asked to skip the attempts to get me to stay and just cancel my account. The person asked me twice more to stay, until I raised my voice and asserted that I had already made my decision, stated it three times already, had spent almost an hour just trying to cancel, and had already had service promised that they didn t follow through on. Interestingly, once canceled, that was reflected real-time in my account online. This company did not let me know they wouldn t fulfill their end of the arrangement (which would have allowed me to hire someone else before my lawn was in such bad shape). Then they promised to make it right but didn t. Then they made me spend an hour, with disconnects and arguing to cancel my account. They have lost my trust for their business practices and dishonest behavior. The poor service from the location was followed by poor practices from their national customer service team. UPDATE: (4 weeks later) I got a voice mail today telling me they would be treating my lawn tomorrow. I have no active account. I tried online customer service and they told me Im not scheduled since I have no account. I asked if we can contact the local franchise to confirm they wont be coming, and they refused. I asked if we can escalate because the automated phone call means that there is an issue with my account somewhere... that their system thinks I am getting a service. The customer service rep didnt respond to that question and ended the chat. Again, they hang up on you or end the chat if there is a problem. I hope they dont come tomorrow since my lawn was just treated 2 days ago by my new company.
This place is a joke. Now understand these are franchises. So, its very possible to get a good TruGreen, but my experience was terrible. The only reason they are getting two stars is they did give me a refund quickly after I complained. The TruGreen I dealt with is based out of Florence, KY. They gave me a price that was excellent, a little too excellent apparently. I was promised 7 visits starting in April. They came out the first time in May. They came a second time in June but only did the front yard. I guess they didnt realize they were being watched. I called in to ask them to come back out. They said they would but did not. I called twice in August to ask them to come back out. They did not. In October I called to ask for a refund. I got a call from TruGreen corporate a few days later. Told them if they would do a grub treatment in lieu of two visits, and winterize and just save the last three visits for next year I would continue to use them. They declined to try to salvage me as a customer. So, back to treating the lawn myself...
Oakbrook In KY we must pay 50k a year for lawn care and it looks like the grass has never been treated. I have worked for lawn care companys and understand how it works. We are wasting our money and I will be pushing for a change from true green at the next HOA meeting. You guys are very very bad at what you do!
Terrible company. Was paying for front and back lawn care and neighbor timed them here for a total of 90 seconds and never stepped foot in the back yard. Who knows how long that was going on since I m never home when they treat. They had previously cancelled a treatment the day of, a Friday afternoon, due to locked gate . Funny because I don t have a gate and they had been to my house before. Also, funny to cancel last minute on a Friday afternoon.
Customer service, at least in my experience was non-existent. Did not follow through with service that I was told over the phone, would happen. Follow-up with phone calls also non-existent. Not one person at Florence location that I interracted with (there were three) was worth my time.
The Specialist who treated my yard today answered questions about my yard and gave helpful suggestions. I hope he follows up after a couple more weeks of spring growth.
Very disappointed! First time they came was fine. Second time I happened to be home and the tech never steped foot in our back yard. My husband called our rep and he said he would retreat at zero cost. When they showed up for the retreat they supposedly sprayed with my dog out! They plainly state that it is harmful to animals, glad to know the safety of my pet was a priority! We will never use them again. Just praying our dog doesnt get sick from this. On top of it all we still have weeds!
Beware, you will get overcharged. I was told I will only be charged the 29.95 for my first service. I was not told about extra services and charges. They ended up charging my credit card $89.
I fired them. Never show up when they are supposed to. The price was right though.
So, I am early in my experience with them. I signed up and the Supervisor that I am talking to is very nice. I paid for 1 year in full. I had my first treatment last week. I have cameras on my entire property. The tech was at my house less them 10 minutes (I have a large yard). Looks like he spot treated? He didnt do the back yard but threw a sign like a dart in the backyard to make it appear that he was there. I called the supervisor he was nice said he would speak to tech and have someone come back out. Its very disturbing, if i didnt have cameras i would have never known. I am going to stick it out for 1 more treatment. Guess we will see what the cameras pick up! Ill keep you updated. Update:WOW spoke to Ryan about the situation, he sent another guy out and WOW he didnt miss a spot!! I want this guy as a regular lawn care provider!!! This guy was there about 30mins and got the entire yard!! I called Ryan thanked him! I really do want the guy that did my yard to be the guy from now on.
I suspect the techs and reps are overworked by higher ups aiming for nothing but numbers, but communication is severely lacking. Signed up for my first time service this summer. I explicitly let them know I lived on a new street that isnt on GPS yet, provided them with directions to get to my house, and told them to have the tech call me if they have trouble finding me. My scheduled service never happened. No one called, no one followed up to say why. All the app said was that the service couldnt be completed. I called TruGreen, reiterated my location, and got rescheduled. Via their app, I watched the same tech drive to the same wrong address yet again a second time. Again, no one followed up, no one called, and I got another service cannot be completed. Two times they never called to find me, and two times no one contacted me after the fact. Once I called yet again, a manager got into contact with me. I let her know I wanted to cancel my contract, and I got a curt ok I can do that, bye. Fine. Not long after that, TruGreen starts texting and calling me until I finally answer. My notes were incorrectly entered so the tech couldnt access them. Ok fine, it happens, but call me when a service cant be completed. I explained why I canceled and why I dont want to renew. It was well received, so I assumed that was the end of the contact. They are STILL calling me at least once a week. If only they were this responsive when they cant complete your scheduled service.... thats all it would have taken for me to not cancel!
Killed my grass! Called told them I do not want there service anymore as my grass is dying. Get a call today that they are at my house laying down more products so I m sure my grass is gonna keep dying
This was a service that i did not approve or order. I went to website to send them an email stating the above and that i will not be paying this bill and i havent had a response as of yet. Very fishy business practices i would advise no one to use
Began using trugreen spring of 2019. We expressed our concern from the beginning that we wanted them to treat for a severe case of nimblewill. This was our main concern about our yard. Multiple times last summer we called about treating for this weed. We were told that they will treat for nimblewill in the fall. Fall came and went and no treatment. Finally we called and were told they forgot and they came out and treated for nimblewill late and we were told it may be to late to work but they will take care of it next spring. This year came and it is now fall and no treatment for nimblewill. I was forced to treat it myself with Tenacity which is the only herbicide on the market that will kill this weed. I ended up doing the work that we hired Trugreen to take care of over a year ago! They also have damaged and killed flowers and bedding plants in our landscaped areas. We also lost a large section of our beautiful lilac tree. They came to investigate and stated it wasnt caused by them but mustve been caused by a car parking next to it. Well.....a car is never parked in the driveway next to the lilac tree! A section of the tree is going to be sent to an arboriculturist/laboratory to be analyzed. The tree is a large beautiful tree and replacing it with a seedling is not acceptable. We also have 3 foot sections in the yard that are now dead after last treatment. This company is not worth the money! They were hired for a specific reason and failed miserably. We are cancelling are service (I use the term service lightly) and going with another company. I have not and will not recommend Trugreen to anybody. Extremely disappointed.

I just started with them and am ready to cancel after one visit. Let s see if you can follow this...I Scheduled for initial treatment with 8 visits for treatment and 1 for aeration and seeding. They were suppose to be here this Friday for the initial weed and fertilizer treatment, then in a week or two after, aerate and seed. Ok, cool. Then I get an email our of the blue today that aeration and seeding was done (2 days before initial grass and weed treatment is scheduled to happen). I get home and walk my yard. Only the front and one side was aerated with some bare spots not seeded. They did not aerate the back AT ALL, nor the other side, so I called. They said that because aeration/seeding was done already, they couldn t do the initial weed/grass treatment for 6 weeks, which would be JUNE! Huh??? It gets better...they also said that they would be out this coming Monday to do it???? What? Ok, so I m confused now. They tell they have to wait 6 weeks, then say (in the same breath) that they would be out in 5 days? First of all, the INITIAL weed/grass treatment was suppose to be done on FRIDAY. Then, a few weeks later, the seeding. They did it backwards AND jacked up the days. Then, they expected me to wait another 6 weeks later for the INITIAL treatment with my yard out of control with weeds.....whew. I m canceling and doing it myself!
Tru Green and Chem Lawn are POISONS, harmful pesticides and fertilizers that contain CARCINOGENS, ENDOCRINE DISRUPTER/HORMONE DISRUPTERS. They also kill the environment, especially by flowing into local watersheds and ground water poisoning it. Your grass might be green (for a little bit)and free of insects , but you are essentially spraying CYANIDE on your yards. It kills birds, bees, and basically anything that comes into contact with it enough. Dont believe me? Just do the research.

An advance automated call advising of scheduled service date was made. Service was completed as scheduled. Following communication with TruGreen on a previous issue regarding broadleaf weeds and regularity of service, the issue was promptly resolved and all weeds were brought under control. I have been very satisfied with the service since.
The Florence Kentucky branch gave me courteous and helpful customer service this week. It was very much appreciated!!!
Weve been a customer for years from many different homes we owned all the way to the Northwest and back here in the East. Very happy with our current technician, Derik Sams. We would not get any other lawn care. TruGreen is guaranteed to our satisfaction. If we are not happy with their results for any reason, theyll come back and fix the problem ... anytime. Their goal is to give you a healthy, greener, weed-free lawn. And they always come through for us. I wish we could say the same for their aeration and re-seeding though. Thats the one thing we were not very happy with. The technician (not Derik) sprayed grass seed over my flower beds and Im still picking grass from them today. Sure, they compensated us for the trouble. But it was a hassle. We still got a lot of bare spots in the yard where the weeds used to be. The grass seed should have taken care of that. We dont know why it doesnt. I dont know if we would try it again.
TruGreen Florence, Kentucky office killed my grass and refuses to call me and discuss a solution. I see that they respond on here. Let s see if that is the case.
**PLEASE READ** I am not one to get on the internet and leave reviews, but this time I felt the need to let others know of my experience with Tru Green. First off let me say the customer service that Tru Green offers is absolutely terrible. 1 star is the lowest I could choose, or I would have given a big fat 0 rating. I started to have crabgrass growing in my yard after 4 treatments have already been done. Let me add that I am a landscaper and have always treated my yard and have never had a crabgrass issue in the past. So I asked for resprays on my lawn and yes they came out and did them. But little did they know that I keep each and every receipt that they leave on your door showing how much chemical was applied and what kind was applied. I found that they were spraying as little as 0.08 of a gallon total across my whole property when doing resprays.... when they do a normal application they were distributing around 11-15 gallons. Please tell me what 0.08 of a gallon would do to my lawn? Exactly. Nothing. Ridiculous. So I called and complained an a service manager was supposed to call me 2 days later and come out. Guess what I never got a call and nobody ever showed up. Called again and was given the same run down, I was supposed to get another call in 2 days stating what time the service manager would come out that day. Well guess what they never called or showed up again... At this point I called again and they escalated my case to a general manager and this was escalated on a Friday and they say I would hear back no later than that following tuesday from the general manager. Tuesday came around and never heard anything. I let it go until I finally called back that thursday saying I wanted to cancel. The lady then put me on a brief hold and then a male hopped on the line trying to retain my buisness saying they will now try and get ahold of the florence, ky branch and at that point would not let me cancel. I hung up and called back and got a different person and she was able to assist in the cancellation process. Funny how far my case was escalated up the chain and yet still upper management still couldnt even deliver. Customer service goes a long way and the fact that they cannot even provide good customer service is unbelievable. Also I would love to add that I have cameras and I would watch the technician come and do resprays and he would be there for a total of 4 minutes spraying a total of 15,000 sq ft. If youre in the Florence KY area please look into Natures Way. I found them and they charge $20 less each application compared to tru green and their overseeding and Aeration is $160 compared to the $274 I would have paid with Tru Green. Ill never recommend Tru Green to anybody as their customer service is garbage and they have lousy yard techs. As a buisness owner myself, I could not imagine providing a disservice to my clients as tru green has done to me. When someone pays for a service you should provide the highest quality of customer service u can provide to make sure they have a great experience and they are happy with the services you are providing. Tru Green has alot to work on. Hope my review helps others who are inquiring about services within Tru Green.
Received a call last Tuesday (8 days ago) stating that I would have a treatment applied, they still havent been out. I did call today and I think I reached a call center. They didnt have any good information and stated that maybe they had something on their screen that she couldnt see as to why they didnt come out. Last application was end of July where they left me nonsense about drought causing problems in my yard. Funny it only happened when they sprayed last. Fast forward until now, with no rain or watering, the lawn is coming back. Hack service, still have plenty of weeds. I see all the responses say to call the TruGreen team at a phone number, that is unacceptable. I expect them to call me, they have my complaint from today when I called the call center. Since I prepaid, I will hold onto them until they do the aeration and overseeding, after that.. peace out TruGreen.
Overall my lawn is better this year than last year after starting in the spring. I still think they need to be more consistent with checking in on what you are seeing below the appointment since you are not always home to talk to them. I also like the variety of services offered but they can be pricey.
Florence, Kentucky I will never recommend True Green to anyone. My front lawn was 70% dead. I requested management to assess the problem with the lawn. A soil sample was taken and never received a report. After 3 calls a Manager came out and committed IN FRONT OF A WITNESS to aerate and seed and do whatever was necessary to restore my lawn for free. They performed the aeration and fertilized. The areas of dead grass and still dead. After repeated calls to speak with the supervisor about follow up work I received two invoices for work done. When I called to question the invoices I was told there was no record of the free service by a very rude and indignant employee. The company is unresponsive, has no internal communication, spends less than 5 minutes on the property spraying but missing treatment to large portions of the lawn. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Bad management including the GM Jim. Bad Service, all they care about is the money. A&A Lawn care have done a better job in my lawn and is finally weed free!
Overall Ive had a good experience with TruGreen. This year our lawn person kept spraying some of my flower beds killing some if my plants.

So True Green was a waste of money.... coz there will still be weeds after they do the treatment.. they tell you some other plan n charge you way higher & then after calling 100 times their customer Service never resolves anything( Half of their reps can t do maths ) ,So basically you pay for Con Job ! Will suggest you dig things out rather then having them n charging you $$$ !
