1101 E Butler Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86001, United States
Family-run standby for plants & gardening supplies along with home decor, gifts & beauty items.
Daisy and the team of wonderful people at Warner’s Nursery were so helpful. They let me and my fiancé hold our small wedding in the back location at no expense, let us use the conference and office spaces to get ready, helped us decorate it to our liking, they set up a speaker for our music, and even let us know when the bride was walking out. They truly were very amazing and such a great help. This place deserves all of our thanks and business.
Best Christmas tree nursery we've been to! This will be our go-to place from now on. Fun for the kids and coffee for the adults. Each tree is given a magical name, which makes it more a very special and unique experience. Highly recommend!
Great plants. I never have trouble keeping them alive when I take them home and am impressed by the variety the store offers. Their prices may be higher than Walmart or Home Depot but the quality of their plants is more than worth it. It is quite annoying to buy plants that die no matter what you do and so I appreciate that this is not the case with warners. Great store, happy to be a regular.
Such an inviting nursery with tons of variety! Indoor and outdoor plants galore, this is the place to go for plants and plant accesories. They always have high quality plants and some of the best landscaping for a nursery I've ever seen! The bad reviews regarding the wage surcharge do not take into account it's family owned; so much negativity for just trying to run a business! Will always choose family owned over mega-corps like Walmart and Home Depot.
Adorable place with everything you could need for a garden. Also has a coffee shop inside.
Love love coming here! I live in another town but when I get a chance to come to Flagstaff and try and stop here! Such a nice place to wander around, even if you don't buy anything you will appreciate it. I didn't buy any plants, although I really wanted too, but I did get a cute elephant pot! They have everything you need for outdoors or indoor plant/potting needs. Also a great place to find gifts for your plant loving friends or family! Staff is super friendly and helpful as well. Students also get 10% off!
This is the place for gardening and landscaping everything. Indoor, outdoor. Shade, sun. Ground covers to trees. Everything. There’s loads of Monrovia stock, so you can find the expected and new varieties. Stroll through multiple greenhouses and covered areas. There grounds are large, affording plenty of space to browse without feeling crowded. The artistic and sumptuous displays will delight at every turn. Someone there has an impressive and clever eye for color and texture combinations. I doubt there’s a color of glazed pot they do not stock. Most are stored under shelter, assuring you many years of use. They stock many varieties of soil and soil amendments. Indoor plants are healthy and enticing. If you’re looking to attract birds, just past house plants are large displays of food and feeders.
This is the first review I've ever been compelled to write about a non-restuarant establishment. I've never been a plant person, except for cacti (which barely count since they require almost no maintenance). I originally called this place to see if they had Cucamelons, since I saw a post about and I thought it would be a good starting plant. They said they didn't get a shipment of cucamelons this year, but they'll probably have it next year. I was kinda disappointed because no one else seems to have cucamelons in Flagstaff. Regardless, I went anyway to see what they have. I was (and still am) in shock about how great of an experience I had. Firstly, the array of plants they have is GIGANTIC. Apparently they have every plant you could think of, besides cucamelons (lol). Every single staff member was extremely kind and knowledgeable. I've never visited a place that has such delightful employees. They genuinely enjoy their job and it shows. The whole place was also surprisingly clean considering its directly dealing with dirt and water. Like, if you've ever been to the Walmart garden center, it's objectively a dirty place. Warners nursery is so well kept and organized. Anyway, while looking around, I had no intent to actually buy a plant. I just visited because this place is so highly rated that it felt like a crime not to visit. As soon as I hit the "novelty" plants, I couldn't leave without one (think carnivorous plants, touch sensitive, etc). They had such beautiful succulents, I almost got one. I decided not to, as I'm still not a plant person and I fear 2 plants may be too much for my forgetful self. All the questions I asked were answered with such confidence and kindness, which ultimately led to this review. Each employee I asked provided the exact info I needed in order to take care of my Mimosa Pudica. The potting was free, and done with such care. I have absolutely no complaints about this place. I've never felt the need to write a review about anything other then a resturant. Everyone needs to know how great this place is. The employees are kind, the selection is wide, the ambiance is relaxing and the selection of pots/plants will fit any aesthetic you fancy. I will be returning, this place has piqued my interest in being a plant person. And that's an incredible feat in itself.
Love it here, great selection, incredible staff, great company. Highly recommend. And if youd like a great drink, theyve got Dotties right there.
Great products
Wage increase added to my bill. Never again will I shop there. They dont even mention this add on. Good bye to Warners. Hello Home Depot and Walmart.
I am SO impressed by the entire place and i have lived here for a while now. I like how open and organized it is, the aesthetics-wonderful. The solid rating goes to the staff, thank you for being nice, informative and also helping me. I didnt get her name, but receipt says MADSRICH. I want to say THANK YOU so helping me out. My blood sugar was dropping so fast and she was so thoughtful making sure I was fine, even got me a water. I have never got that service anywhere, I left happy and Im eager to return.
Amazing. I love this place
I love Warner s and frequent the nursery. However, I am NOT happy that, on top of the highest prices in Flagstaff for plants, now, they are pushing the responsibility of Flagstaff wage surcharge on the receipts? I am being charged for this? No! Just no! This seems like pure greed at its finest.
Beautiful nursery, great staff, super cute coffee shop! Very thankful for the all the community events they host throughout the year as well. My kids could hang out here all day!
They have now added an employee wage surcharge to every bill. I used to spend about $100+ every two weeks but this is kind of ridiculous. An employee wage should not be the responsibility of the customer.
Be prepared to pay an additional 5% surcharge on all purchases - which according to their sign at the register, they blame on raising minimum wages in Flagstaff, which seems whiny to me. This tells me that they pay their employees minimum wage and were forced to pay them a measley .80 cents more per hour... if you can t afford to have a business, just say so! Their prices already arent great, and apparently that upcharge isnt going towards paying a fair living wage to employees, so where is it going? Foxfarm liquid fertilizer is 2.5x the cost compared to elsewhere!!
Great nursery. Fantastic and knowledgeable employees. We always look forward to coming here.
I always love going to Warners Nursery.
Im always coming here to feed my botanical addiction! Best variety of veggies and herbs!
Warners has unsurpassed quality and variety and knowledgeable staff. Some of their prices reflect that, so out of respect for my budget, I go there last. But its a beautiful reprieve, at Halloween time, too.
Love the atmosphere. Super helpful staff.
6-20-23 If you are planning on buying from Warners be prepared that you will pay an extra 5% on ALL purchases in addition to your city tax of about 10%. they are calling this extra 5% Flagstaff Wage Surcharge. We shopped there this weekend, will not go back.
10/10 would recommend! Today was my first time visiting and everyone was soooo helpful and sweet. I love that I can get a coffee to enjoy while I shop. I had LOTS of questions and spoke with four of the gals there and they were all super knowledgeable and patient with me. Daisy especially helped me choose which plants would be best for my home. I bought all of the things and felt like I left with more know-how.
Dishonest salespeople. Will not honor warranty I was promised because the person who sold me a tree no longer works there. Owner outright refuses to speak with me on the matter.
Theres so many plants, and the employees are so helpful and can tell you how to take care of anything you buy. The selection of plants is always changing, so youll probably see something new each time you visit. They offer repotting services if you dont want to repot any plants yourself. Theres also a little cafe that makes really good Italian sodas.
Bought hot cocoa for my granddaughter. Waited 30 minutes. Too long of a wait for hot cocoa if you ask me. Thats not even the bad part, it was more like a cup of warm milk with a hint of cocoa. It was disgusting. tossed it out. Not the friendliest staff either. First and last time ever going there, will NOT recommend ordering from there.
I believe she was the owner (misty) was SO nice and just a pleasure to talk to. She was all smiles and very kind to my 3yr old daughter! Loved all the plants and their 2 dogs too thx!!
The best customer service and the cutest nursery. They are always very friendly and helpful. Dane helped us today and was an amazing employee who went above and beyond. They are always willing to answer your questions and give advice as well.
Huge selection of plants, pots and seeds, the staff has been quite helpful each time we visit! Make sure to take advantage of their discount days!
Always love coming here! Staff is so kind and helpful. I wish I could visit more often. The girl that helped me even let me know theres a Master Gardeners discount. I never knew!
Went while on a road trip, hoping to find Poncirus trifoliata, perhaps as root stock on another citrus tree. Their trees arent in yet this year...
A very nice nursery with lots of house plants and overall, a good selection of trees and bushes. We bought a small pine and got lots of advice on how to keep it alive. Ill check back with the review in a couple years with how its doing
#1 do not support this business #2 definitely do not work here trust me #3 plants are way overpriced #4 if you want to know more about this horrible place just message me and I will tell you all about them! P.s I would have done 0 stars but there s not an option.
I ve been here a few times and am always impressed with the store and the vibe. The staff are eager to help, offering tips, and answering all my questions.
Awesome!
Best selection in Flagstaff, prices are more than the big box stores but better quality of plants. Staff was VERY attentive and helpful.
Always amazing staff and wonderful selection. You cannot go wrong trusting your gardening supplies to Warners
Very busy nursery, because its probably the only one in town. Lots of people working too friendly as well.
Great flowers and gardens nursery but a little expensive
Great selection. Plants all healthy
I absolutely love Warners! It s the best place to get plants in town that will survive our short and difficult growing season. Their selection of houseplants is massive, and all their pottery is beautiful. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable and are always willing to answer questions. Go to Warner s!!
I love their brand of soils and compost options. Plant stock is usually pretty steady as well and their staff is extremely helpful. We started our garden from seed this year but supplemented with their organic veggies for things we didn t start or didn t sprout well.
Cutest place to get ur plants fixin and a great lil cafe drink spot inside.
We purchased 3 trees from Warners and had them plant the trees for us. The tree expert in the tree area was so helpful and knowledgeable. I believe his name was Agon(?)
I talked to a really nice guy about the trees. Very nicely set up. My grandson was kicking the gravel onto the sidewalk, they just followed behind him doing it back up. Very nice place.
Huge nursery with indoor and outdoor plants, flowers, vegetables, and gardening supplies. The staff is helpful and friendly. Great selection of pines, spruces, aspens, and junipers.
Always helpful and knowledgeable. We had a price for planting some trees misquoted to us, but they worked with us to make it right. Beautiful yard with lots of landscaping inspiration ideas.
Did yoga with Erin and the Yoga class experience today! So fabulous.
Nice selection of seeds, backyard homeowner stuff at OK prices, also coffee and stickers for some reason
Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable about the plants!
Very awesome helpful and friendly people
Always ready to help
Very helpful and resourceful. Great place to pick up gardening information and tips.
Friendly staff with reasonable pricing for all your gardening needs whether indoor or outdoor. There was a shop dog there too last time I was in and very friendly.
Warners. Great Customer Service! Awesome Landscape. Great Selection. For all your gardening needs, Warners is the place Where youll find what you need.
Special shout out to Michael and Will from Warners who planted two trees for me today in Doney Park. They were very courteous, extremely knowledgeable and just did a great job. Thank you!!
Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly staff.
Always a great experience at Warners. Ive literally been shopping here since the 80s. Christmas Trees in the winter. Veggies and flowers in the spring. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and always a delight.
Great customer service, very Satisfied!
Good quality plants. Large variety. Very friendly and helpful. Loved the dogs roaming around
Excellent selection and prices.
Real bonus that theyll repot a plant for free if you buy the plant and pot from them.
Obsessed. Have a latte, buy a plant. Such a lovely place.
Helpful staff, clean and well laid out. Had every plant I went for and more.
Very helpful and great selection!
Amazing nursery, great prices. Way better than Home Depo.
Surprisingly great coffee here! The plant nursery sets up the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy a drink. Always warm and friendly staff. Its hard not to buy a few plants while you are there too.
There was no planning for quad cab dailies when they built their parking lot. Other tha that, a nice place to shop.
Helpful and friendly staff, beautiful plants, tools and accessories
Perfect place for a family Sunday afternoon outing. We go here weekly and enjoy coffee while looking for some new plants to add to our garden. Staff are helpful and attentive.
My wife and I live in Prescott Az And we love go to Warners nursery Grate plants and people working their
The whole place is simply gorgeous. Im from the Midwest, but the staff helped me find what I needed and were super helpful and knowledgeable. The coffee was really good, too. Ill definitely come back.
I shopped here for 15 years with only wonderful experiences until today. I arrived to buy a latte and enjoy the sanctuary offered there, and hoped to not overspend. After ringing the bell, two staff members arrived to announce the shop closed st 430. I asked manager Patrick where the open hours was posted, because I had not seen the sign and wanted to know for next time; a reasonable inquiry. Instead of telling me there was no posted information he staged a childish drama, telling me repeatedly, I cant do this with you now. I was appalled with his attitude and conduct. Then, bizzarly, he flipped it around to dump on me, sounding like I was the problem. When I attempted to talk with Dominique and another staff member, Patrick rushed over to interrupt and stated that he wanted his side of the situation to be told. I replied that he could do that later, not on my time. His extraordinary poor conduct was startling and no befitting of professionalism, anywhere.
We used to buy a lot of plants and landscape supplies here. The last visit the customer service was deplorable, so we wrote an email to express our dissatisfaction with the interaction so that the issue could be resolved. We never heard back, so from now on our business and money will be going to garden stores who demonstrate more professionalism and respect to their customers.
The staff very knowledgeable
Great selection of plants, people are friendly and helpful. Nursery is set up so nicely ... Shade plants here, annuals there, etc.
Large variety of trees, perrinnials and annuals displayed in a natural, spacious outdoor environment. We purchased a maple tree here and had excellent, knowledgeable service from the yard staff. They even deliver for a fair fee.
We bought a couple of trees and had them delivered and planted. Andrew was the one that planted them. He did an excellent job and told us how to take care of them. He answered all the questions we had. Great service.
A great place to shop for plants and trees. Prices are reasonable and everyone is super friendly. They also make a good cup of coffee.
Great selection! Just pricey
Loved it. Had a meeting. Enjoyed drinks from Dotties coffee corner. Majestic.
Lovely place to visit to buy your plants and supplies. Delightful coffee shop to sit and relax in a beautiful setting.
The employees are so sweet and the coffee was delicious. Loved that they potted the plants for us in the pots we bought. However, I wish the owner would enforce mask rules. It was upsetting to see people strolling with masks on their chins, knowing the employees arent allowed to protect themselves by asking customers to wear masks correctly.
Always a great day at Warners
It was busy but I was given personal assistance and was not rushed at all. Great customer service!
Beautiful plants and fast friendly service
Very helpful staff.
Excellent experiences with the very knowledgeable and pleasant staff. Currently working with the design team who is GREAT!!!
Great place to explore plants.
The Best!!!
They do not stand behind all their plants. I found this out the hard way when I tried to return a plant that had failed. they do not accept returns on bedding plants even though this is not stated anywhere only a sign saying that they stand behind their plants. The manager William told me he was bending the rules by giving me a store credit. When I expressed that I did not want to shop there anymore he threatened to go back on his word and take back the store credit. ?! He manipulated me into accepting the store credit. This is a family owned business and this is how they treat their customers. I do not want to shop there anymore after this experience and will go back to the nurseries that do guarantee all their plants. More professional places that are not family owned. Really disappointed in this place and their policies that are not formally stated until you try to return something. I was essentially bullied and ripped off.
I paid for them to plant the trees and shrubs I purchased. They didnt do a very good job. They made a follow up call to me and I indicated that the service was less than great and they should come out and look for themselves. The owner indicated that they would send the field manager out. I explained that the field manager was there during the install and didnt need to come back out, it would be better if someone in a management or ownership position look at the work, to see if it met there standards. They refused and were rude. Why call and ask my opinion? So they could deny my opinion? I will not go to Warners ever again. I love wandering the gardens, but the owners appear to have become aloof and arrogant.
I have been here multiple times to buy multiple plants for our new build. They worked with us on price as were buying so many plants.
Great place. Love the family events they have now and then. Especially around the holidays
Warners has a great variety of wonderful plants and flowers but I really enjoy looking at all of their decorations and outdoor decor. We have had a tough time getting our garden going but, every year we learn something new and Warners gives us all the help we need when we are not to stubborn to ask for help...
Terrible customer service for locals. Refused to give me a refund or even a store credit for a $16 plastic solar lantern that never worked. This kept me from coming back for 2 years - so they lost the hundreds of $ per year I used to spend there for their miserliness over a $16 defective item. Finally went back today for some steer manure. I parked next to the stack and was walking in to pay when I was told by I believe the owner I had to walk back to my car and move it to the front parking lot to pay, then move my car again to the stack to pick them up. There were 60mph winds, it was miserable outside and they had no other customers. Nope. I walked out and will never, ever go back. So dumb - she could have just said, Next time, please park in the front and pay first. But instead, with her inconsiderateness Warners has lost my business forever. There are plenty of other places that havent gotten too big for their britches to actually consider their customers.
Great place! So helpful people ! Great calming atmosphere !
Attentive and helpful staff, beautiful plants, and a delicious coffee bar. What more could one want!?
Beautiful Nursery!
Very nice nursery !
Knowledgeable and helpful staff
Love this place. The plants are always great and the staff is friendly
ALWAYS fab but even better this year! Cafe with smoothies! Get the Wild Berry WITH whipped cream of course... yummy
Great customer service and quality goods
Plants are in excellent health & very knowledgeable employees. Its a joy going there.
Pretty disappointed with Warners Nursery. I went there about 3 months ago and explained that I was looking for a plant for my desk that does not receive sunlight. At first I thought it would probably be impossible to find a plant because I thought all or most plants needed sunlight. The employees helped me to find a plant and said the one I picked would be fine on my desk using florescent light. They helped me pick a pot, plant it, and I was on my way after spending about $40. I was pretty happy with my experience until today when I finally decided to go back to Warners and ask for some advice. My plant has been losing leaves and a stem is rotting. The employee who helped me told me this was plant needed sunlight to survive and was in the wrong pot. When I told her both the plant and pot had been recommended, she kind of had the welp, sorry attitude. I dont normally write negative reviews but in this case I really do feel disappointed. Im not sure which employee was correct but either way, my plant isnt thriving. I will try to keep it alive for as long as I can and then will probably go somewhere else to buy a new plant.
They have a wonderful choice of plants. How they present them is beautiful. I love this place for ideas and the coffee. You wont be disappointed, wonderful way to spend some time, coffee and flowers.
Place has amazing selection second to none
Friendly, knowledgable staff and quality plants and trees.
Love this place!! The nicest staff on the planet, they are so knowledgeable and helpful. The plants and succulents are healthy and beautiful, and I always end up spending too much on the gift shop merchandise I wish there was one in Phoenix!
Would recommend. Super cute displays and a wide selection of plants with great service to match
wide variety of plants at great prices, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, they will even pot your plant if you buy a pot. theres also a coffee shop in the store and a great rewards program. if i could give it 6 stars, i would.
Great choice of fresh cut Christmas trees.
You know, this place USED TO BE GREAT. Not so, anymore. The last thing that occurred was that they loaded SOAKING WET bags of sand in my Subaru that leaked everywhere. (Not just in my vehicle, but saturated the bottom of bags, etc. Then due to snow, I had to put them in my house. Clay water on my wooden floors, leaking even over plastic I had to find. Then, as far as compensation for all this, William agreed to a $30 gift card, saying the owner had agreed too. This was welcome news afterhe had flailed as a leader, riding the fence about it all, and not owning responsibility. Flakey all the way. (Fyi little back info: After that initial trip, I had to go to the nearby hardware store right down the road and decided to buy an additional bag of sand. No leaks from that one! So, it doesnt come with the terf.) Then, today William calls me back reneges entirely on that store credit and proceeded to lie. He said they did what they were supposed to, offering plastic, etc. (He was not there, and by all means, they did not.) So, in essence, he withdrew his original offer. WHO does that? The owner of Warners, apparently. A scrupulous business does not cause so many problems to a customer who has come to Warners for YEARS. Warners try on some responsibility, rather than deny and lie. Bottom line, you have lost all my business moving forward. Readers, we have plenty of better options in town than a business that wings it and looks out for its own, sacrificing loyal customers. To the owner: very stupid move.
If you want some of the highest quality plants available in Flagstaff, come here. The staff are nice, the atmosphere is excellent, and there is a wide selection of different plants. Be prepared to spend money for this quality, however.
Crews congesting Aspen Place, swearing loudly near small children, loitering and smoking near businesses and blatantly near No Smoking Within 25 Feet signs, crews parking in congested areas, crews running hoses more than 6 inches off the ground through several lanes which need to be driven through, crews barreling through traffic trying to navigate the hell Warners has created and not allowing anyone to get around them because they feel like they have constant right of way for being in a large truck. Shouldnt the gardeners be yielding to the customers of the plaza they are in? I guess nobody is going to plant that ficus if they dont get over there STAT! Seriously, everywhere Ive seen Warners has been ridiculous. Teach your gardeners where to park(and how to park, as in not horizontally blocking several vehicles wanting to leave), to not run hoses through traffic, to yield to people spending money in the places you have contracts, and to be courteous. If a gardener cant wait 10 damn seconds for large large amounts of traffic to be able to get around, the same way traffic navigates in this lot every day, then they should drive over to drop off their equipment, drive back to Warners, and walk back over so we dont have to worry about the trucks which sit in congested areas for hours suddenly starting to move. Customers shouldnt be putting up with the psuedo-beta-male aggression your gardeners are dishing out.
I love this place! I love flowers, so this is the perfect place for me to spend money. It is like a garden haven. I love that they have a place for the kiddos to play, too. And they always have so many family friendly events going on especially during the holidays. Customer service is super helpful, too.
Helpful, knowledgeable advice, always!
Great plant selection, helpful and well informed staff, great pottery and overall really nice place!
It is wonderful place in Flagstaff where may look around many plants for gifts, have a cup of coffee out of the strobe and enjoy the views of California Mountains.
They are pushy .. always know it all.. I like shopping there . But I have to say I never get what I want for the price or I settle there a lot. They always know everything.
I absolutely love the knowledgable and friendly staff at Warners! They worked with me for a solid twenty minutes helping me decide the right soil mixture for my raised beds. I was a on a tight budget and they came up with options to help me stay within my price range. I would highly recommend this store to anyone in the flagstaff area that is new to high elevation gardening! Thank you Warners for providing such excellent customer service, it is greatly appreciated!
Warners has been our go to nursery since we moved to Flagstaff 2 1/2 years ago. We can always count on exceptional service from both the landscaping and nursery teams. You walk in and are greeted warmly by employees who really seem to enjoy what they do. The staff is very knowledgable and extremely helpful.
Living in a new Flagstaff Subdivision, I needed expert advise on landscaping and weed control. Luckily, I met a long time employee, Scott Stavely. His knowledge and experience with the local plants really impressed Me. I found, after his careful and honest advice, I was able to create a perfect Flagstaff dream-scape! Tina S.
Beautiful nursery! Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff! I love that if you buy a plant and a pot they will pot it for you. They have a wonderful selection of indoors plant and always have the current seasons outdoor plants available.
Great, knowledgeable staff. Every time I go, I am promptly greeted. If I ever have a question, the folks at the front steer me in the right direction, and before I get there another staff member is waiting. Were new to the area, and particularly Flagstaffs gardening environment, and Warners had quickly become my go to resource for all my needs.
Was really surprised at how large and clean this place is. Probably the nicest landscaping/nursery Ive ever been to.
