We recently had Matt and his crew do some landscaping work around our home, and despite a few hiccups early on, they more than made up for it. After a misunderstanding about the job, Matt took immediate action, bringing his team back out for an extra two days no questions asked to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction. They removed the old mulch, replaced it with stone and fresh mulch, and even went above and beyond by doing things not listed in the original plan. They picked up large sticks around the yard, edged our sidewalks, and re-leveled all the beds. The entire crew was incredibly respectful throughout the process. As someone from a blue-collar family, I truly appreciate when people take pride in their work, and that s exactly what you ll get with Matt s team. Unfortunately we did not have a great experience with Matthew. We hired him to do all of our lawn care and there has been very poor communication throughout. I never got to meet Matthew myself. When they came for the first time to do the mulch and edging, they cut my internet cable. Matthew was not aware as his team did not inform him and I assume he did not come and take a look at the end himself. He told me he would repair it. Nearly 48 hrs later someone came, tried to repair , did not check if it was actually working and left. It did not work. Ultimately I called the internet company and they took care of it. I was told this is commonplace so I accepted that and moved forward. Well my lawn not looking great and I had a dead tree that needed replaced so I expressed concern about this and requested an opportunity to talk in person. I sent picture along with detailed description of my concerns and did not hear back for over 10 days. I even called in the middle. With lawn care, timing is impenitent. Finally I had enough and decided it was time to move on. Matthew then told me they are very overbooked. I read in many posts they are a new business. My one advice would be not to take on more than they can do. Had they just said they could not handle it from the beginning I would have accepted and gone with someone that would be able to invest the necessary time.

I have been very impressed so far. The team does an amazing job, respectful, and communication is easy and quick. I have two large dogs that love to play outside. Sometimes I forget to pick up their toys before and mow, the team always moves them aside and never runs them over. They are also very diligent to make sure my gates are always closed when finishing my mow. In the past I ve had mowers not shut the gate and my dogs get out. This is never an issue, and Hoosier lawns pays attention to detail others might over look.
