We are a small landscaping business that started out of a love for yard work. I started this business in 2016 with only about 10 customers and over the years it has grown to well over 100 constant customers and I've built connections that I never dreamed were possible. I was a full time Paramedic while doing all this work for 4 years, and I cut every yard every time up to that point. I planned to make the dream of becoming fully independent and self employed a reality starting spring of 2021. We are insured and licensed so when we come to your property you will not have anything to worry about. We offer a wide variety of services and will do mostly anything that we are confident in that deals with landscaping and at a very reasonable price.

Many thanks to Rickey and his crew that transformed our yard and gave us some much needed curb appeal! They did everything from placing a sprinkler system, redoing flower beds with weed control and mulch, laying some sod, clearing some trees and shrubs to building a beautiful stone border/wall. Rickey and his team were fantastic! We were selling our rental home from across the country and were struggling with getting other landscaping companies out to the home for an estimate, but not Front 2 Back Landscaping and Lawncare! Answered our phone call right away and had an estimate with photos that same week! We found the price to be very reasonable for the wonderful work and they had it done in a day. I cannot thank Rickey and his crew enough for the hard work they put into my yard yesterday. My husband and I have been away from our property for quite some time now and have had no one to maintain it while we have been away. Yesterday I called Front 2 Back to see what could be done with our yard because I could see on our cameras that it had gotten out of control. The backyard literally looked like a forest! Both my husband and I were afraid that if it continued to grow the way that it was, we would face fines from the city. Rickey's crew came out last minute to take care of our yard for us, which we really appreciated. The before and after photos are like night and day! I highly recommend this company and will be a returning customer. Rickey was tremendously helpful and professional. He kept me updated throughout the entire time that his guys were working on our yard. The crew was awesome, they didn't rush and took their time even though it was a last-minute job. They also cleaned up and disposed of trash/debris that was left over from our yard. His crew really made our yard look immaculate. We are so happy with the results. Great experience! I had Rickey come out to give a quote and go over everything needed to be done. Within that week we agreed to the work! Him and his crew showed up early and stayed well past dark to get the entire front and back yard done. I had 5 trees removed, sod laid and tons of pruning and cutting back. Hedges ripped out and beautiful black mulch landscaped with all new plants he got for my yard. Great customer service and affordable!
This review is LONG overdue and for that I want to do nothing but apologize to Rickey and his amazing crew. My husband and I were put in contact with Rickey after another "landscaping company" came and did an awful job on our yard. We were in the process of selling our home and were so worried that we would not be able to find a good buyer if we couldn't get the lawn under control. Time was not on our side! Rickey called us immediately and even agreed to come out late that same night with nothing but a flashlight to give us an estimate! He was very honest and worked with us on what we could afford after already paying another company to do the same thing. Rickey was one of the first people we worked with that listened to our concerns and actually addressed them! He was able to get his large crew out to our house within 48 hours to tackle the job. Now, when I say tackle, that is exactly what I mean. They came out early and worked their butts off until after dark. We were more than happy with the results but Rickey was dead set on ensuring every single thing we paid for was done and then some! He sent a wonderful worker to come by the next day and do some touchups to ensure everything was to our liking. The pictures speak for themselves but I could not help but add the background in to explain why we owe him so much. Rickey and his crew DO NOT disappoint! If we were not moving, they would forever be our go-to for lawn care. Our home sold in less than a week and I can tell you, without his help, we would have had a hard time to even get them through that front door. Hats off to Front 2 Back Landscaping!

Have not had services done by this company but I was at a hardware store trying to fix a leak in my roof and needed help and Mr. Rickey saw me and didn t hesitate to help. He was kind and professional and truly a blessing to me this afternoon. If ever I should need any landscaping done this company will be the first I call . I was very pleased with what this company did on yard. The quality of their work is great. The amount of effort they put into doing what they do, I don t think I paid them enough for the work they did for me They went above and beyond to make sure the work was top notch. The work was just awesome. I needed 2-3 large trees removed. These guys went so far above the initial service requested. The front yard wasnt maintained in years, its gorgeous now. I am over the moon.
My usual experience with a small business owner who does work at your home goes like this you call the company and either they don t answer the phone or you leave a message. Most times they don t call back. If they do call back you will set up an appointment for them to come to your house for an estimate. When the day arrives for the estimate they are a no show. However, with Front 2 Back Landscapping, from beginning to end it was a pleasure working with Rick. He came to my house for the estimate and he spent at least 90 minutes advising me what he recommends AND he adjusted my sprinkler heads for the best coverage. When I asked him how much I owed him for adjusting the heads he said, No charge. No charge? Who does that!? Needless to say I hired him to lay 5 pallets of sod in my front yard, dethatch the grass, aerate and overseed the rest of the lawn. In addition, during the work he discovered one of our extremely large pine trees was rotting in the center from termites which could have cause a catastrophe if it had fallen. What did Rick do? He took down the tree within minutes, cleaned up the area so you could not tell a tree had just been felled and when I asked him how much it cost me to do, you guessed it, No charge. His sod work is fantastic. As I was watering parts of the sod by hand, as they were continuing the job, I could not tell where the new sod met the existing grass! Rick and his team are fantastic, professional and polite. His prices are great and he cleans up all the mess laying sod leaves. You are crazy if you don t use his services!

My flowerbeds had become overgrown with weeds, large bushes, and creeping plants. I also had bushes along my driveway that I wanted removed. The team did a great job and working with them was amazing. Communication was impeccable and you could tell they cared about the result that I wanted. It ended up being a little more than initially quoted, but that was due more work needing to be done- which they were fair and open about. I will definitely be using them again soon.

This landscaping company did an awesome job on my yard as the company name says Front to Back. Ricky Vancanon came in a timely manner for quote. I accepted his offer after several others and he started on the day he said he would. They graded the entire front and back to start with a clean slate. Laid SOD in front yard and seeded back. Laid stones entire length of driveway and laid rocks of my choice. Landscaped around the house and I loved . Mr VanCannon listened to everything I wanted and also had ideas for me to consider. He goes above and beyond and was not upset when I changed my mind and asked for something else. He also has a great crew that are very good at landscaping. He also worked on an empty lot behind my house that was not originally in the plans. I would recommend them to anyone. Mr VonCannon truly cares that you are happy with the result and I am thrilled. I do not know where to begin!! I had called a few companies to get quotes, but once I spoke to Rickey I immediately knew I would go with his company! He was very friendly and detail orientated. He quoted me a very resonance price as well. Him and his team did an AMAZING job on my overgrown yard that required a ton of work. I could not be there to see the finished product so Rickey updated me with photos throughout the process. I reached out asking about tree removal and they were quick to respond with an estimate. They were able to fit me in quicker than I expected and went over and beyond with what was asked of them! They were professionally and friendly and I would definitely use them again!

Rickey VonCannon and his crew has done an excellent job in mowing the yard. First and foremost the price is reasonable for the job and secondly the quality is superb! They mowed the grass while we are out of town and will be maintaining it throughout until our return back to Fayettville NC. Payment is securely made and this company is trustworthy. I appreciate how Rickey took pictures of the lawn after he was done to show me that the job was complete (we are out of town). In addition, Rickey responded to my questions in less than 24 hours (actually responded within just a few minutes to hours) which is reasonable. I contacted this company in urgent need of lawn service for my parents who are going through tough health conditions and could not do their own lawn right now. This company had compassion for my parents needs and immediately responded by going to their residence and doing their lawn for me as I live 260 miles from them and cannot easily get there to do it myself. Called to have someone come down to give me an estimate for lawn service. Whoever I spoke to basically said that unless I was in the area they are working at this week, I would have to wait until Sunday. I sent my address after he said they are in my area this week but I never got a response back. Ended up going with another company. I guess they didn t need the business. Edit: In response to the owner. An apology and not an explanation or a demand would of been better from you. We all have issues we go through and family to feed. Not all reviews will be positive and I hope you realize this is not out of anger but merely disappointment from a potential customer that you failed to serve Sr. Have a blessed day!

Front 2 Back Landscaping was a God send! Needed someone really quick before getting pictures taken of the house so that we could list it! They did such an amazing job! Rickey is down to earth and an overall pleasure. He takes what he does seriously and brought our landscaping back to life with his crew even through a short rain storm. They knocked it out and I couldn t be happier!!!!

I cannot express my gratitude enough for Rickey and his crew and Front 2 Back. My neighbor had a project done by Mr. VonCannon and recommended him for my project. I had a bigger project than anticipated and they were able to completely overhaul my back yard to make it a place me and my family can actually utilize to its full potential. I did throw a few last minute projects on top of and initial sod and tree removal job. They made pathways to my children wooden playhouse and custom built a raised garden bed! They have made my backyard a sanctuary that I would have never been able to dream of without their aid and vision. They worked their behinds off day (and night) to create this piece of art. I absolutely cannot wait until spring to see my yard at its most beautiful potential. My children loved playing with Mr. Rickey . He is reasonable and truly care about his clients and gives his all to making sure they make you happy. They went as far as mowing my front and weeding it, because it needed it without question. If you need a landscaping and Lawncare guy I highly recommend Rickey Voncannon with Front 2 Back Landscaping and Lawncare. Very professional and reasonable. No job too small. I hired him to cut my lawn last summer and he did an excellent job. He and his crew just finished taking down some old pine trees in my back yard along with trimming my shade oak back from touching the roof. He also raised the canopy on several others. All was done promptly and the cleanup was superb. I highly recommend this local business for all you lawn and landscaping needs.

Major overhaul of my back yard to include taking down fences, leave collection and moving big items in back yard for better access. Front yard work included removal of overgrown shrubbery and small trees along with trimming of big trees. All work was completed in one visit which was great because they were able to have everything cleaned up before the end of the day and my yard was left looking renewed. Now we wait for the grass to grow back in...

I ve used numerous lawn and landscaping companies over the years for maintenance on my office property and have never been completely satisfied. That was until I used Front2Back Landscaping. They set up an appointment to come out in a few days, removed all the weeds, picked up trash and pine cones from the parking lot, trimmed shrubs and mulched and it looks absolutely fantastic! They have been very responsive and I plan on using them every two weeks for regular maintenance from now on. Highly recommend!
Our yard was a mess and these guys got the job done. Our yard looks better now than it did when we first moved in. Super clean lines, all the weeds were pulled - they even pulled the weeds growing on the house (we had a lot), it was a huge problem. They re really easy to work with and will do whatever you ask for an extremely fair price. You won t find a better deal, we looked around. We normally don t do reviews but our yard looks so nice we just had to give these guys a shout out!

The guys came out and mowed and edged my yard quickly. I was impressed. This was the first time. Not impressed anymore. The second time they were supposed to come out. They didnt. I waited 2 days...no call. I call and was told the guys were sick on the third day. I let them come out. They did a bad job and I took pictures and sent to owner, but he never responded to say sorry or anything. I cashapped him and parted ways. Still no apologies. He is not professional and I feel he didnt care that they didnt do a good job on my yard.
