I ve been a TruGreen customer for over a decade now. They re very professional and customer focused team. Recently, I wasn t completely satisfied with pest/insect control application around my property. I let them know through application ratings and feedback. Soon after a service manager contacted me, understood my concerns and scheduled another application at no cost to me and resolved the issue to my satisfaction. They understand how to keep customers happy. Keep up the good work guys!

The app is truly helpful especially if you own a dog. Knowing that they will be coming one day in advance allows me to plan my day and prepare the yard (gate off the grass area etc..) and keep my dog indoors until completed. They are always prompt, and the summary of their services is a plus. So far my lawn looks pretty good and I ve been using them for almost a year.

Quick and professional

The specialist did not do his job properly. After several weeks my lawn had weeds everywhere. I made a complaint to the office and they sent the same specialist back to re-do the weeding only. I told him that before he started and at the end he did weed and feed. He ignored what I said and billed me again. I called the office and had him replace. WAITING for my CREDIT. That call was a callback on the specialist because of all the weeds that he didn t kill. I will follow up when I get the credit and new specialist.

We caught the specialist on our ring camera walking around spritzing a few drops in the front, never touching the backyard, and then said he sprayed the entire property 143 gallons--IMPOSSIBLE. When we called to explain the rep said oh you saw him? never apologized and even CHARGED US FOR THE SERVICE THEREAFTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys are really dedicated. We switched from another service and were skeptical in the beginning (being that it was a bit pricey), but we re very happy we signed up. The technician today, Jose M. was extremely pleasant, professional, and accommodating. Still at the beginning but seems like a whole new level.

No mosquitos or pesky bugs during the season, we re surrounded by woods so it definitely works.

Always go above and beyond commu cation wise. This is my second year with Tru Green. My lawn is a tough one because of mixed type of grass which was explained to me but overall very happy with the service and how much better it is looking since I started with the. I have been using the services of TruGreen for many years. My lawn has no weeds, no dandelions, and no bare spots. The lawn looks very healthy. The notifications are second to none. I receive alerts before the service man comes and then I get a report when the service is done. The billing department is very responsive and provides excellent service.

My Trugreen has felt like a partner in the recovery and care of my lawn. I have been happy with the services provided. My only wish is that I could call to speak directly with the group that takes care of my lawn. My only option is to call the National Trugreen. One of the worst companies that Ive ever dealt with. Ive been with them for many years and my lawn situation never improved. I had a tech say some extremely rude things to my face in front of my children and when I called to close my service after they finally canceled it for me. They just hung up without even saying anything. I quote their agent your service is now canceled click. STAY FAR AWAY FROM TRU GREEN!!! They are a corporate company out for your money and no regard for the customer.

The customer service is wonderful. I complained about one application that was not thorough . They immediately contacted me and arranged another engineer. That s very impressive.

They are always very thorough. My lawn has never looked better. Can t say that with the competitor I dropped.

Were great the first two years and now they dont even return calls or take care of issues. I now have dead spots on my grass and weed growing and tried for three weeks to reach them to resolve. Paid over 3k the last year and my yard has weeds and dead spots. Would not recommend.

Easy process, Tru-Green took care of notification letters and came to apply at a time that was convenient to our needs.

Don t use upper saddle river NJ true green. Stay away from them. They hire people who don t know what they are doing. For over 5 years their technicians cheat by not doing my whole yard. Even after dozens of calls, and speaking to managers, and me marking my property line, they still have new technicians that don t treat my whole yard. Apparently they can t hold onto consistent employees.Yesterday was the best. A woman showed up and spent 7 minutes using a pump sprayer and did not even do 5% of my yard and then she drove away. I have her on camera. You can t trust them if you re not home. Unfortunately I was not at home. I called and emailed and have yet to hear back from them

Technician Kaeem C did a great job and also took time to explain problems . He outlined how the problem would be resolved. True Green should be grateful to have him as an employee.

I was having an issue, they sent out a complementary treatment to help clear the issue.

Wonderful service this morning

This is insanity. I browsed their website and added something to my cart, and Ive now (just today) received 6 calls, 3 voicemails, and 4 emails, from 3 different ppl. I also just had someone show up unannounced at my doorstep yesterday - this is a violation of privacy - and Ive been called countless times prior to today. Theres a difference between a sales approach and harassment.

I gave them a beautiful sod lawn to take care of the first year I would call and report problems and they would fix the issue this year I continue to call tell them what is happening to my lawn they say they treated it but the problems still persist my lawn which is very small less than 1000 Sq feet the have managed to kill 80% of it so I cant recomend them

On time, professional, and easy to deal with. I did not know what to expect snd boy were my wife and I very please. Highly recommend them.

The nicest part is that besides my beautiful lawn looking full and green is that Kareem noticed that we need to keep our gate locked for our fur baby! He made sure she was safe!

Maurice did my first service today with TruGreen, after he did my first service he did a assessment of my lawn, He explained to me that my lawn was healthy and it had a few areas that needed attention, with treatments and instructions on watering my lawn would be looking great for the spring!

We had sod put in the backyard twice and had no luck keeping it lush and green. A friend told me she used your service on her lawn and couldn t believe the results. I m a believer now, both front and back lawn look great and weed free.

3 TruGreen sales reps lied to me to get me to sign up. All 3 stressed the importance of me signing up right away so they could provide spring seeding that had to be done immediately. They used this high pressure sales technique, and once I signed up, and paid in full, they scheduled me for the first service. I contacted them to see which items the needed removed from my lawn in order to aerate and seed as to not inconvenience them when they arrived. They told me they do not even offer a spring aeration and seeding service and that the reps must have misinformed me. I asked them to cancel my service and issue a refund. They said that would take 3-5 days. It has been over a week and the refund has not been processed. When I contact them again the rep said it needs special approval from the manager and he ll get to it when he has time and just keep waiting. This company lies to get your sale, and then lies about issuing a refund in order to steal hundreds of dollars from you. Wouldn t recommend this company to my worst enemy.

My second year with TruGreen. I have to consistently call them because of poor treatment. 1st application they never went through the gates to my backyard. Weeds everywhere! Front yard weeds along the border. Last application, I watched through my cameras and 1 person was there 5 mins and left. I prepaid for the year and this will be the last time using them.

I gave up after months ... literally gave then $1,500 for the worst lawn ever !!!! DO NOT USE It s been a month since I contacted them and the promised to fix they came once and yard it still a mess !! Spent $1,500 total. I choose TruGreen because they guaranteed a great lawn. Mine is the worst it has ever been and you can not reach local branch, NO phone or email! Everything goes to general customer service who then says that is for the local branch to decide etc. and then you cant get local branch to call. Terrible customer service and even worse product. Below are just a few pictures of my $1500 prepaid lawn.

Trugreen truck went thru red light without even breaking and missed hitting me by inches.

The service was for carpenter ants, carpenter bees, spiders, mosquito control and lawn weed control.

The absolute worst decision I made when I decided to work with them. What a waste of money. DO NOT USE THEM

NOT RECOMMENDED! I had been using TruGreen for the last 4-5 years and each year my lawn got progressively worse than when I took care of the lawn myself using Scott Products. Each year, Trugreen put down a crab grass preventer and to this day I still have crab grass throughout the year. Every year I called them in for excessive nutsedge and they nuked my lawn and the nutsedge and crabgrass are the only things green on the lawn. Their applications killed my grass. I have a sprinkler system and although they aerated and seeded my lawn several times, most of their seed never grew which makes me think it was probably loaded with filler anyway. Theyre responsive on the phone but they just dont have the technical personnel or products to take care of these problems in the field as they advertise. Ive cancelled them and will be using a local, independent company who will take pride in their work.

TruGreen did a decent job the first year they were here. Year 2 there was a new crew who missed 1/4 of my property the first several applications which led to a downhill degradation of the quality of my lawn and filled it with weeds and brown spots. It looked a lot better doing it myself with little to no experience. This years crew not only missed the full application their spray nozzles were sputtering and not misting properly so it was poorly applied. I am so frustrated it s difficult even talking to anyone there about it, they do nothing to help the situation. Only solution is to stop using them

Worth every penny

Their Mosquito Protection program only cover a small portion of my backyard, their technicians tend to skip a lot of spots here and there, hence not quite effective since the mosquitos can hide in those missed spots and come over for a big meal whenever we get out in the backyard.

Wow i should have read the reviews. This company is horrible! After a full season of complete care i was contacted about lime treatment and how without lime, fertilizer uptake is slower to a point of not working. So i spent the 1500 for full package to be told it wont work unless lime treatment has been applied, something that should be included in complete package?? Then comes the aeration last week, no warning again (turnedhim away first attempt due to zero contact fron them and lawn needed to be cut first) he proceeded to bury his machine in 4 spots and trash my lawn. Said he would schedule someone to come fix it. I wont hold my breath waiting but i will cancel all service and be done with this waste of company. Cantwait to see automatic response post on this review. Just like their company......... bullsh!t

Poor service. They try to force services that were not ordered. I actually had to stop the technician from doing work thatvwqs cancelled. I am STILL waiting for a refund if unused services amounting to close to $800!!!

If I could give zero stars I would, but this has been one of the most aggravating and dissatisfying experiences with a business. Between unauthorized charges (never agreed to pre-pay for the entire year) and services that were simply not delivered TruGreen should be avoided at all costs. Aside from the billing issue I paid for a slit seeding service to help with yard recovery and the technician who showed up told me that he had never done this before and after walking around my property for 45 minutes it was clear that nothing was done. TruGreen, however, has no problem telling me that the service was delivered and there will be no refund. Look at all of the 1-star reviews and ask yourself if working with TruGreen is a good idea. If you need lawn care find a local service provider and save yourself a lot of grief. FOR THE TRUGREEN PERSON READING THIS...if you want to discuss this the sales guy for my account has my contact information. Feel free to reach out, but I am not going to get into an e-mail conversation. I just want this resolved so that I can move on.

Our experience with this company was a DISASTER!!!!!!! They cracked a few pavers by my pool. Tried for 2 weeks to just get someone on the phone i could talk to about this problem and was just sent around in circles. No problem getting to bill payment department though. finally gave up. Zero for customer service , zero for accountability and zero for responsiveness. Dont ever use these guys. I would give company zero stars if a could.

Been using them for a few years. I called for a re-service and nobody ever came back. Called again, they set up an appointment for a Thursday. Again, nobody showed. Called again and explained it all. They set it up again for another Thursday. I only get my backyard done, not my front yard. They came and serviced my front yard. Called again and scheduled for them to come back a d do my backyard as is in my contract. My dogs were in the backyard and right after I brought my dogs in to leave for work I got a text saying my service is complete. Nothing was sprayed in my backyard, nor my front yard. I called right away and said that they did not service my lawn, that my dogs were outside plus there was no chemical smells anywhere. Asked her to send the guy back. Nobody ever came back. Service was much better years past. 2022 has been a horrible experience with Trugreen. Maybe its a lack of quality employees.

They re exactly the worst choice you can make. I was a customer for less than a month, absolutely horrible experience and a complete waste of time. I spent more time arguing with them over the phone then they did actually servicing my property. All they want to do is get your credit card number on file so they can charge you for subpar half baked service! Avoid them. Total scumbag outfit, they signed me up for tree and shrub care when I have Zero trees or shrubs on my property.

They killed off my lawn last year

BEWARE! Dealing with TruGreen has been the most frustrating two weeks of my life. If you ever have a question and/or issue expect to wait approximately 2 hours each time before speaking with a customer service rep. If you miss their call back you need to go through the entire 2 hour wait again. I have spoken with approximately 10 customer service reps in regards to just one round of treatments. The initial time they serviced my lawn they only did the front half of my yard and not the back ( The initial CSR who booked my account did not specify right back and left back). To get someone again to service the back has been a nightmare. They just came back today to redo my lawn when it was finally fully serviced...if I was not there my lawn/shrubs would burn out. If I was not home to observe all of this my lawn would be a hot mess.

As a new customer Im quickly leaning towards being a former customer. They come and go as they please, wait times are north of an hour each time, and worst of all they killed my grass. In this case you dont get what you pay for. So much for hiring professionals.

My only complaint is that I would like a notification that a lawn treatment was going to be done before it happened. The reason why is that I had my landscaper scheduled to do a cleanup and the treatment that was done was wasted.

My tree & shrub service tech (John Booker) did an excellent job. He visually took the time to show me potential insect infections that were inhabiting my trees & shrubs.

This is the second year using True Green, I just signed on to Complete Lawn and my house has video security. I dont know what the service details but supposedly they applied Grub, Fertilizer and Weed treatment all with a few squirts and without going all the way around the house. I called to find out the steps of the application process and still dont know, the mosquito guy came yesterday and again didnt go up one side of my yard, I will wait and see what happens and what is coming out of the grey sand insect hills all over the yard that are grubs or adult grubs beetles, I am not happy right now..

paid up front for their service and not only am i not seeing any results what so ever i now have a grub problem which i never had because i treated on my own i now have more weeds than ever they came and aerated on august 2 which is way to early for this area so that was a waste too never again, very disappointed

Need major improvements on the call center. Very difficult to speak to somebody who owns the company. As far as their service goes, we shall see. They just took over the company that we were using for years. We will give them a try, and if not satisfied, we will look for another service.

Awesome Service

My yard is a mess with tons of weeds all over and i have been patient but its fall and its still way too many weeds. They came to do an aeration and seeding. terrible job missed over 50% of grass area. No seeds visible anywhere. I am filing a report to the BBB today. They dont answer the phone and i called the Companies main number and they want me to talk to the local servicer but they dont answer the phone. Small claims court is my next option. All the people around here using them and they cant put someone there at least to answer a call.

I have had TrueGreen for over a year and I have automatic sprinklers. I am sad to say my lawn is worst now than when they started. I have more Bermuda Grass (Cynodon Dactylon) now than before and its the sole reason I called True Green. I have every service TrueGreen offers and spent well over 1K this year with them. I have called to complain and they listen and even send someone back out to reapply products. Their App is great, but my weeds are taking over. They even sent their supervisor out to look at my weeds, but he said something odd. Well in Japan the use Bermuda Grass on their golf courses. At least your lawn is green. Should have fired them on the spot with a comment like that in their line of work. Great Sir, but this isn t Japan and I can paint my lawn green like out west! Not sure if it s incompetence, lack of training or watered down products to save a buck, but not sure what choices i have. May just do it myself and save 1K+! Update. 22Sep2021. Called and set up an appointment with manager to address my problem (again). Nothing done. Nothing heard. Incompetence.. Canceled service and took a star away. To bad you have to leave at least 1 star. Buyer beware.

I had called Allen at True Green to restart my lawn service and found him very unprofessional. He made a number of mistakes in explaining True Green s policies and contradicted me very rudely. I found him a poor representative of his company. I am very hesitant to renew my contract with True Green.

Two weeks ago, I was sent a notification saying my technician was on the way for routine service. Follow up notification saying the service was completed.. Only problem was I checked my cameras and nobody was ever at my house! TODAY, I was scheduled for core aeration and seeding. They did the core aeration, put seed in the spreader but never put seed down. They just packed up and left. All on camera.. got the notification saying it was complete though

First time ever using this company. I called the main number a month ago to inquire about a full 9 visit package and was told ballpark $1200. Fine I will book in the spring, however I booked aeration and seeding for today. Took the day off. Weather was fine, system said between 1 - 6. They were a no show with no phone call, email or anything. I prepaid for this service a month and a half ago. Lousy (lack of) service. I now understand all the terrible reviews. I have low expectations and would you use these people for all next year if this is your first experience? Owner - DO NOT REPLY WITH THE SAME PRECANNED RESPONSE - it s offensive. Make it right and look at your schedule to figure out the job(s) you screwed up.

Total waste of money and time. Lawn looks exactly as last year. Ordered aeration and overseeding which was scheduled for fall. Guy came out on August 6th right during 100 degree weather. As a result no new grass anywhere. No one takes responsibility as service was performed. Update: replies from owner are generic no one replies to the emails.

Poorest service I have seen, killed a Japanese maple due to over spray and they will not replace it. Another tree has a black fungus and they stated it needed to be treat twice over 2 weeks and never showed for 2nd service. Aeration and seeded, they stated it was done on the website and it was not. The local tech lies and have to call multiple time to get corrected. Area manager does not call upon request multiple time. Central NJ. Do not use TruGreen, find someone reliable if possible.

If you do not have a camera on your property, do not use this company. They mark treatments as complete when they have not shown up. I have witnessed them only treating a small portion of my lawn - What is the point of any of this if the whole lawn, shrubs and trees are not treated? Every time they arrive, I have to watch them to make sure they do what they are supposed to do. Who knows what they did with the 1st few applications, when I wasnt watching... I am currently on hold, once again, to report that the tech has not arrived, even though I received a text that he had completed my Lime treatment. The woman on the phone called the tech, and same as last time he treated the wrong lawn. Dont waste your money or your time on this company. I will not be using them again as I refuse to continue to babysit these professionals.

Our family has been a long time customer, and this most recent time we scheduled an aeration and seeding, and 5 times now, theyve blown us off and not had the courtesy to even call as to explain why theyre so pathetic.

Numerous visits were cancelled and rescheduled. On one occasion I received a text message that the technician is at the property and I was sitting in my driveway, nobody came. Then they billed me for the visit, and after numerous phone calls still havent refunded me! Scam, stay away.

Checked my cameras to find the techs barely spraying the trees on my property, not even bringing hose in back yard where 80% of the trees are, essentially ripping me off...was disrespected, hung up on, given the run around until finally getting 2 visits refunded... requested call from local management, got call 3 weeks later after 4 requests and the guy had no idea, not did he offer any apology...I cant imagine, as a business owner getting a worse call, and these guys couldnt be bothered with me after ripping me off for who knows how long! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, complete joke all around, actually unbelievable that the business is run so horribly that they enable their lazy, thief technicians...

Contacted TruGreen to treat my grass and the rep said I had an insect problem with my Arborvitae trees and that I had to get them treated as well. They sprayed some sort of chemical and all 120 of my trees died. I contacted my sales rep Mike Kelly to let him know and he said he was sending someone to resolve 5 times. I got stood up all 5 times and no one ever showed up. Now almost a year later I got a collection letter in the mail for them for an invoice I never received. My initial invoice was paid in full. No one at Trugreen seems to care or know what the invoice is for, but somehow Im still liable. HORRIBLE COMPANY

I did a pre-paid service and the services were provided. They continue to perform more service that I did not ask for and charged me. I called and informed them of the error and they continued additional services....and continued to rack the bill up. I called again and still no resolution. I told them that I wont pay for services I didnt ask for.....and they sent me to collections! SERIOULSY?!
