We used this company for a few years to open and close our pool, along with attempting to fix warranty issues. Each visit came with service issues- things were forgotten to be done, or items were carelessly handled and broken, each time never their fault. Made it seem as if the customer was too picky when we wanted the salt cell tightened so it would not leak, gaskets replaced so the pool would not bubble, pool and spa return covers put back into the correct areas so the flow of water was correctly distributed, pump wires that were kicked out when service was being completed put back in place so the pool functioned correctly. Always never their fault and we were too difficult with our requests. This year after completing the annual contract and setting a date for pool opening, we were notified that due to “staff shortages” they would no longer be servicing our area. Funny that when their own owner has a policy that who ever closes the pool should be the company to open it, or at least this is what I was told by him to insure it was done correctly- because if a line isn’t blown out and a pipe burst , the people who closed the pool in error would be responsible for the repairs. Very disappointing!

Pentair recommended Platinum pools to fix my pool light under warranty. I was injured on crutches and the 2 Platinum workers were very, very kind and helpful as they moved the pool pump off the pool cover and wrapped the wire for me because they saw i was hobbling on crutches. It is rare to find a contractor who is knowledgeable, responsive and provides value for money. Platinum tackled a complicated hardscaping and drainage project in my back yard that had been previously botched by another contractor. Multiple underground uncertainties did not scare them off. They developed multiple options for me to consider based on their considerable experience and in conjunction with my engineering advisor and we settled on a package of actions that involved demolition of damaged retaining walls, excavation of damaged patio areas, in-fill of angular gravel, re-construction of a patio and retaining walls and installation of new PVC drainage pipes and a drywell. They took great care not to disturb areas that were intact and settled. It was a skillful job completed quickly and competently. I highly recommend Platinum Group for your next outdoor project, no matter how complicated.
