Robert came out to provide an estimate for removing and replacing the backyard lawn. He recommended St. Augustine grass, praising its lush, dense growth, drought tolerance, and suitability for handling pet urine. We chose to go with this option, but since we were unfamiliar with St. Augustine grass, we had a few follow-up questions. Robert assured us he would email us a watering and fertilization schedule. Robert and his crew handled the preparation and installation of the sod. The cleanup after the job was satisfactory. When the job was finished, I asked the same questions again. Robert advised me to water the lawn for 20 minutes every day for two weeks and promised to send over the full details once he got home. A week passed with no communication, so I texted him (his preferred method of contact) with the same questions. Another week went by without a response. I called and left a voicemail, only to receive a text saying he'd send the information soon. Two more weeks passed, and I still hadn't heard back. To me, the job wasn't truly complete until my questions were answered. I was disappointed that such basic inquiries couldn't be addressed on the spot. It felt like, once payment was made, Robert had lost interest in following through. Now, almost two months later, some pieces of sod never took root, and I'll need to replace them in the spring. In the end, I was able to get the answers I needed from online resources and my local nursery, but it’s unfortunate that the overall experience was tainted by a lack of follow-up on simple requests.
Fantastic job. Very competitive quote and took pride in their work. Came back multiple times to fix issues with the sprinkler system that weren’t even caused by their work. Left a clean job site and treated my project like it was at one of their own houses. Would strongly recommend them to anyone I know.
Paradise lawns did an outstanding job replacing the lawn for our preschool. They were very flexible with their schedule and provided great advice that was way beyond normal. We are having them do additional projects based on their great work. I included a picture of the grass that's redone. They will still be doing some additional landscaping work.
Before I share my wonderful experience with Paradise Lawns, let me set the scene by describing the dire state of my backyard when I first reached out to them. My small, Oceanside backyard, once a source of joy, had turned into a dismal sight. A previous landscaper had severely damaged the lawn, irrigation, and overall landscaping. To make matters worse, a person I found on Craigslist to fix the sprinklers ended up further ruining the sprinkler system. Additionally, our old six-foot fence was on the verge of collapsing. We stopped using the backyard and even the sunroom that overlooks it. This situation persisted for three years. Determined to revitalize our outdoor space this year, I started with replacing the old wooden fence with a new, maintenance-free vinyl one, which looked fantastic. However, the yard remained in chaos, especially after the fence installation destroyed what was left of the sprinkler system. In my quest for a trustworthy company to restore the yard, I found Paradise Lawns. Robert, the owner, visited, listened to my woes, surveyed the property, and asked about my vision for the yard, including its use and our timeline. Given my past experiences, I was wary, but Robert quickly made me feel comfortable. He acknowledged the lawn was beyond saving due to previous mishandling and proposed a comprehensive plan to rejuvenate the space, tailored to my budget. Opting for the full makeover, I tasked Robert with clearing out the existing mess, laying new sod, overhauling the sprinkler system, installing drip irrigation in the planters, and adding stone borders around the sunroom, among other enhancements. Robert, his son (it's a family operation), and two other landscapers dedicated ten hours to transforming my yard, totaling 40 man-hours of labor. The outcome? The photo below speaks volumes. My backyard has been converted into a stunning oasis. The craftsmanship is top-notch, paralleled by the team's professionalism and the overall value. After completing the project, Robert kept in touch, and I've reached out a few times with questions, always receiving stellar customer service. Am I pleased? Absolutely. We had a great experience with Paradise Lawns. A few little hiccups popped up along the way but Robert was quick to assist and fix any issue with prompt and clear communication. We were not able to do sprinklers because we are in a rental but Robert gave me exacts on how to water, mow, and care for my new lawn myself manually. 2 months later and the grass still looks perfect!

Our experience with Paradise Lawn was excellent. I highly recommend this company. Robert gave us a quote on Saturday and started the job on Tuesday. He recommended St. Augustine grass in the front and backyard. The grass is lush, dense, drought tolerant and rabbit resistant. Robert and his team spent two days removing the old grass, leveling the yard and installing the sod. They replaced and adjusted sprinkler heads to give maximum water coverage. The crew is very hard working. They did an excellent job cleaning up after completing the job. Robert gave us easy instructions to follow in order to maintain a healthy lawn. He will inspect the lawn in a month, but we can call if we have questions or concerns.

Robert and his team did a great job. He helped us pick out the right grass for our backyard. We went with St. Augustine even though he offered the lower priced Fescue. He also helped us draw new grass lines when we planted new trees. They were done same day and the grass looks great. Great job guys!
Adding my full endorsement and recommendation for Paradise Lawns. Robert and his crew were excellent in every facet of their work. Clear and thorough estimate, great recommendations with lots of options to consider. They treated my yard as if it were there own, very detailed in their work, never rushed. Its all about the prep for laying down a replacement lawn. Removing an old beat up lawn is not fun and they handled it like the pros they are. They took time to made all the necessary sprinkler adds/adjustments to our existing system to ensure complete coverage of the new lawn. In some cases moved heads just a few inches to make sure obstructions were cleared. We have a very curvy hardscape and they to get it right, including going above and beyond to properly fix existing issues on one of my stone edge pieces. We went with TIFTUF Hybrid Bermuda for the clean look and couldnt be happier. Our lawn looks fantastic thanks to Robert and his super diligent crew. Oh, and they leave things better than they found them.
Rob and his crew did an outstanding job of installing a sprinkler system and sod in our front yard. Rob initially came out to assess our yard situation, made recommendations, and was very respectful of our wants and needs. When he and his crew arrived the morning of installation they graded the yard, installed the sprinkler system and timers, and installed the sod. Robert and his crew came by last saturday and did a bandup job of removing my old sod, rototilled out the weeds left over and hauled them away at a very resonable price. He was here when promised, did a professional job and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. I have highly recommened him to my neighbors who I know need his help.

Thank goodness for Paradise Lawns, after almost a year of DIY work on our backyard I convinced my husband to hire the pros. Robert and his team were quick and on time starting at 7am and finished the job by 3pm! They did everything from leveling the yard, setting sprinkler heights, adding in top soil and even pressure washing the patio by the end of the job. He is very mellow and easy going and also responsive when you have questions. ***The one note I would make is to do deep research on the type of grass you want to purchase. He knows a ton about each grass variety but when it came to paying the sod dealer, I double checked what was ordered and it supposedly would have been a dormant/ brown grass that was installed. So I spoke with the dealer and they recommended the overseeded version, I spoke with Robert and he agreed to cover the charge for the difference. All in all read the contract thoroughly for any extra charges like paying with cash verse check, we missed that piece and had to pay an extra $210.. other then that it was a great experience that was worth the money and time!
Robert installs low quality sod and we have been having such bad problems and he does not respond for the past couple months on how to fix it. DO NOT recommend
