I’ve been using Weedman for several years. We took a break after an issue with seeding but resumed their services a couple of years ago and we still have a lot of weeds and crabgrass in the yard. We’ve reseeded and aerated and done all the treatments but still have a considerable amount of weeds. This year we’ve had issues with them only treating the front yard and not the back or not treating at all and sticking a sign in the yard that they had been there… Most people have cameras in todays day and can see when/if someone has been on their property. For this past service, for our winter fertilizer, I’ve been trying for 3 weeks to get them back out to complete the job that was only half done that I’ve been billed in full for (back yard was not treated again). This issue has been ongoing for several weeks with multiple emails, messages, and phone calls and still no one has been out to complete treatment. I would not recommend Evansville Weedman Lawn Care for these reasons. Thus the 1 star review. I’ll update if I ever get resolution on this last treatment issue.

I don’t write many reviews, but Weed Man’s “service” has been bad enough that I decided to take some time and write one. I have been very patient, but today’s aeration and overseeding was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I have been a customer for almost a year, and the only time I have not had to call and wonder when they were coming out was the very first service. All other times, the estimated service window on my schedule came and went without any communication from them. Every time, I would call and ask why they haven’t come out yet, and they’d always say they were just “running behind schedule”. I cancelled once, earlier this summer. The owner reached out to me and asked me to reconsider and give him a chance to address my complaints. I agreed, but nothing changed. So either he didn't address it with his employees, or they didn't care enough to change...either way, not good. I had to again wonder when they were coming out to aerate and overseed, and had to reach out to them only to be told they were running behind and it would be later this week. They did show up today, but as I watched my security cameras I noticed there were a lot of missed spots with both the aeration and the seed spreader. I got home from work to find almost half my back yard had been skipped (both aeration and seed) and significant portions of my front yard. There was no seed at all on the strip of grass between the street and sidewalk. When I called to talk to them about it, I was told that a manager would review it, but was never told when that would be...probably several weeks from now, if at all. I will not be returning as a customer next year. I gave them another chance, and they blew it. The whole reason I pay for a service is so that I can have someone who knows more about it than me take care of it. There also has to be trust, where you trust them to do the job and do it right. Weed Man of Evansville has squandered that trust, even after giving them a second chance. I have had to spend more time babysitting them to make sure the job is done right than I would have spent just doing it myself…which defeats the purpose of hiring them, and has just wasted my time and my money.
Weed man has been nothing for a nightmare for us. My boyfriend has had to call several times this summer after not showing up when promised/scheduled. Decided to give them another try after owner/manager guaranteed better service. Just paid to have entire yard seeded and aerated. Again, was supposed to happen last month but came today after being called last week. After looking at yard and reviewing video feed it was evident approximately half of the yard was completely missed. They nearly missed half of our yard in random spots. The owner was sent pictures and videos of the yard. The owner’s response was definitely not satisfactory/appropriate. Our neighbor also had the same experience today and complained as well. I will be telling anyone I know to use another company so they do not have to deal with broken promises and poor work. Lots of other companies in the area to use next year. A lot of money has been wasted.
Not sure where to even start with this review after being a Weed Man customer for almost a year. They either don’t show up half the time because they’re behind and then have to always call to ask when they plan on coming out since they are running late then once they come. You still have weeds. Got the joy today of watching a technician seed and aerate my yard on my surveillance cameras while sitting at my desk. The guy literally missed half of my backyard with his aerating machine and at least a quarter of my front yard if not more. The entire strip in front of my sidewalk had not one single seed on it. I put some fresh topsoil on the side of my house where I was having trouble growing grass and the guy didn’t do anything with it - no seed , no aeration at all. My neighbor and I have called several times throughout this year complaining about poor or even totally missed service despite being billed. I was always promised the service would get better. This is the most terrible lawn company I have ever dealt with. The owner can make promises, but apparently his employees can’t keep them and do good quality work. Called the local office today to explain what happened and told receptionist that I have pictures and video. Reply from company was that they have video cameras on trucks and they will have quality control review them. May get back to us in 2 to 3 days. Shame on this company for constantly doing terrible quality work.
My service tech, Jesse Ireland provided us with excellent customer service today. He showed up to fertilize our lawn only to find our contractors things spread out on the front lawn. After speaking with our contractor he left & came back allowing him some time to clean up the lawn. He also did a excellent job on spreading the fertilizer and cleaning up any extra that went onto our concrete. He went above and beyond to provide us good, quality care on our lawn. Thank you for sending such a top notch guy! We appreciate the extra effort he took in taking care of us. Thanks again!!
Luke and Andrew and all of their staff have been great. The lawn is already greening up and looking nice. Very affordable and high quality. Still super happy with Weed Man Lawn Care after three years. The put just right nutrients at the right time so that it doesn't over-grow too quickly. Also not a weed in my lawn.
I was extremely Disgusted with true green. They have a one size fits all approach to lawn care. John at Weedman gets it done right the very first time. In one year I went from the worst yard to the best yard. I had a neighbor that let nutsedge creep in and waited to cut his grass till it was nearly 2 feet tall and Weedman come out multiple times at no extra charge to make sure that didn’t stay in my yard long. Tech applied fertilizer May 2024. He was also supposed to spot spray for weeds and that didn t happen. My big big issue was he left my back gate wide open and I didn t know this when I let my dog back outside!!! This is unacceptable!!! I sent message and I canceled service. I have not heard back from the company, thought I would at least get an apology.

DO NOT use this service under any circumstances! I had this service last year and their technicians do sub standard work. I didn t pay for this year and they took it upon themselves to do a treatment this year without my approval and had the audacity to call and tell me that I had to pay for the service, $59.00.

I ve been using weed man for almost 3 years. I ve noticed, this spring, I m not seeing the violets or dandelions I ve seen for years. Additionally, I had a large oak tree and stump removed in 2020. I had to allow the ground to settle for a year and then prepare it to be seeded. With the seeding Weed Man did, the large area (6 in diameter) is completely green with beautiful new grass. There was a miscommunication at one point and Candice was quick to resolve issue. She is always very professional and helpful with her customer service skills.

I have you used weed man for close to 2 years. For a small yard, less than 1/4 acre lot, I am able to get full lawn maintenance for less than $50 per treatment. I appreciate the text message service which allows me to know the day before when they will be arriving. I can always text or call back to reschedule if it doesnt work. Called back within a few days, gave me a detailed breakdown of the service they offer, and came to treat the lawn 2 days later. In just the last 12 hours the droves of dandelions in my yard have stopped sprouting, and any that were standing, are now wilted over. Ive had the opportunity to see other yards using Weed Man, and can honestly say if your yard is something you take pride in, but struggle to keep up with, these guys will be a big helping hand in keeping it looking beautiful for a really fair price.

Have used weed man for a few years. They do good work, are efficient, and my yard was always weed free when they were servicing it.
Awesome customer service! Love talking to a real person (Candice this time) and not having to hit 10 different numbers to get to another answering machine. Service is prompt (usually within 24-48 hours of call depending on weather). No high pressure sales, but they will give advice and let you make decision.

Takes good care of my lawn, but they wait too long to core aerate & overseed. Shouldve been done early Sept. Mine hasnt been done yet and is scheduled for next week near end of Oct. & freezing temps coming end of week, so I cant water. Their service would be 5 stars if it werent for the waiting too late for aeration & overseeding. I prepaid all of this last Feb.

Weed Man really did the job. The weeds were knocked out and stayed gone, and our grass flourished. Weed Man kept us informed and kept their promises. 2022 was the first year using Weedman. Yard at new house was neglected last few years and clover was invasive. Candy in the office was very professional and responsive to any concerns. We used Weed man for 2020. They were nice but very sloppy when doing the over-seeding service on our yard. We now have a lot of grass growing in our landscaping. If I can figure out how to upload pictures I will. They called to ask if we would be signing back up for 2021 and I said no due to this. They offered no help on how to resolve this issue. I will not be having them back out.

Complete mess up of services. Suppose to aerate, overseed, lime and fertilize on a date specified. Came 3 days early and applied seed only. Talked with company and they assured me the entire process would be done together. Scheduled for Saturday. Come home from errands on Friday and some guy is applying lime. Cancelled work and asked for full refund. I can t trust what they did to my lawn. Neither time did they ring doorbell to alert me they were here. It would have saved them time, trouble and customer if they had. What gives these companies the right to come on private property gated and not make any attempt to let customer know they were there. I could answer my door bell from anywhere in the world literally if I m not physically at home. First experience and last with this company.
