Great gift selections and friendly staff! We love to shop & support a local small business!
Always like coming here whenever I'm in Evans. Lots of home and garden items and apparel for the ladies. They even have some baby clothes. As for the garden there's some beautiful patio planting pots and foliage. There's a good variety of things to see here and they're always bringing in new products. A must stop and shop. 😉
Thank goodness for this being one of my favorite sources for Christmas Decor! The last 4 Fridays, I have purchased a bag or two of Christmas decor for myself and a few for Hostess Gifts. One of my favorite "Happy Places". Unique decor and jewelry and decorative outside garden supplies. Always eye candy at Christmas time. I rarely leave empty handed. Great place for gifts for myself and also great gifts for friends and family. Friendly and helpful staff.
This company services our complex once a week. I have a gate that I installed for my pets. Although the gate was unlocked every week, my yard continued to not be serviced and my back patio not blown off. I reached out to the property manager and team leader for this crew multiple times. I was told what I needed to do to ensure this wouldn’t happen again and complied. Since then my patio decorations have been severely damaged, one given to me my deceased grandma and other door decorations were knocked down by blowers as I watched on my Ring camera. The back patio continues to not be blown off properly even though I moved all furniture out of the way. I have given up on this company and will be sure when we buy a house at the end of this lease to not use or recommend them. Their staff with an exception of the team leader and the office manager , are very rude as if they can’t be bothered. Update: week 796 they haven’t blown my back patio. photos added.
Last week was my fourth time in southern landscape. When they first opened great service and I bought a few items. Each time I’ve gone in there since even though they have beautiful stuff I’ve never bought anything because the staff is so snotty and rude. I’ve given months between thinking I’ll try again disappointed each time. One of these occurances my mom and I were in there for about 20 mins no one ever greeted us but did others no one asked if we needed help or said anything when we left. Such a nice store. Hate that service sucks and people make you feel uncomfortable.
Snooty Employees … ladies at the counter had their noses in the air and made me feel uncomfortable on both the occasions I was in the store which was approximately a year and a half apart. I would say they are very unfriendly. I will never go there again … Grift shop is generic and nothing unique of heirloom quality. No indoor pots. Bigger pots available outside are nice but overpriced by about 25%.
Our family has purchased many beautiful plants, flowers and gifts from Southern Landscaping over the years. They always carry high quality products that will stand the test of time. The family friendly atmosphere is another favorite part about Southern Landscaping. The owners and employees truly care about the customer and their experience. I would highly recommend Southern Landscaping to all friends and family!
Stopped by this nursery last week to browse the selection of both landscaping/garden plants and indoor items/seasonal decor. Being that it's the end of the summer season, they didn't have a huge selection, but had some great deals on residual annuals and perinnials. (I was especially excited to see a newer hybrid of vining Mandevilla!) The selection of shrubs and trees was decent. The plants were also decent looking, although they didn't seem to be as carefully cared for as some other local small businesses of the same caliber, but still far better than the chain stores. The indoor selection of home and garden items was great, much larger than other area home/garden/gift stores. Prices are on the high end. Customer service was great. Not only did a young man come outside to offer assistance when we were looking at landscaping materials, but the young ladies working inside were upbeat and friendly. Bottom line, I'm looking forward to seeing the selection and pricing as next year's planting season begins. I would love to purchase some items from the indoor store, but pricing is stopping me for now. I'll stop in occasionally and see how things are looking for now. Would recommend to others to go look for themselves.

Bought plants from there that died in 2 days. Over priced and lady there helping me seemed rude and didnt want to help me .

Great selection of plants and the store inside was awesome.
Poor quality landscaping. They lay sod on a contract for homebuilders. The sod is laid directly on clay. No top soil. The sod is not smoothed out. Many gaps and holes in the sod. Takes a lot of money and time to fix the issues. Many of the workers that we talk to say they dont get paid enough to do a great job. When other landscaping companies come out to look at projects in my neighborhood and at my house, they cringe and ask who did this.
Prices are too high.

Revising 5 stars to include explanation... Employees were super helpful in choosing plants that be best for my location. After putting my fig tree in the ground, I got a few yellow leaves and called to get some help.. Ashley had great advice and helped me troubleshoot the cause. I know I will be using Southern as my go to nursery from now on!!
There are lots of lovely things here. Lots of clothes which surprised me. The racks were really tight which made it hard to see what all was there. Pricey.
A beautiful shop with very friendly staff!
Do not use southern for lawn care. We had them and had a horrible time. The workers were constantly smoking on our property, leaving the gate to the back yard open, and just overall not doing half of the job. It got to the point where they wouldn t do the flowerbeds anymore even after specificity asking them to be sure they got it, it went 3 months of ignoring flowerbeds and shrubbery. Eventually the manager had to come out and hold the workers hand in order to get them to do it. With all that said when we cancelled the service they claimed they came out 2 more times, my wife was home both days they claimed to and says nobody was there. They charged us for those trips and when we refused to pay and asked to speak to a manager, the manager never called us back. 3 months later they threatened to take us to court over this. I say again DO NOT USE SOUTHERN LANDSCAPING!

A recent interaction with Southern demonstrated how clear communication is critical to customer satisfaction. I appreciate the way Chris reached out to help resolve the issue and he was clearly conscientious and aware that they could not meet my timeframe expectations given that they are actively seeking to continue to build their experienced team. I have no lingering issues with Southern, but as they did not have a chance to actually do any landscaping work for me, I do not have an opinion on their work. Their store, however, is a great place to shop!

I have had two negative experiences with Southern Landscaping. I asked for a landscaping job estimate September 2016 to grade the berm and utilize the entire property lot. The service rep that visited my residence, Chris, showed up and during the course of the conversation, indicated that a full job of berm and tree removal might be in excess of $15K. Upon hearing that, I did scoff at that amount and asked for other options of making use of my property and estimates for those. I was advised that it would take a few weeks to create all the estimates. I never received the estimate. I actually had to call multiples times to find out the status and only recently received any kind of response in June 2017. The service rep stated that he misunderstood and thought that I wasnt interested in service due to the high cost of total lot clearing. I indicated that it was agreed that there would be other estimates provided, but again, the service rep thought I wanted nothing. The second negative experience is in regards to the warranty protocol. I have a new home builders one year warranty, and recently submitted a ticket for possible sprinkler system leak. Since Southern Landscaping was the contractor that installed the system, they were notified of the service request. I was contacted by them and it was indicated to me that the one year warranty only covers defective items. Nothing more. Not even if they installed the system incorrectly. I find it hard to accept that a company would only honor a warranty for a defective product only, not if they incorrectly installed a system that caused leaking. Just unacceptable. Try finding a different contractor.
My daughter and I love to shop at Southern. We find everything from Christmas decorations and gifts to home decor and I could go on and on. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this store and the staff.
