Recently my yard was seeded and aerated. Grass was coming up great. We saw some areas that needed reseeding due to us pulling up deed weeds and bare spots. I called to have a reseeding in the bare spots. Very prompt in coming back out to my property and they resseded the whole yard, paying attention to the bare spots. Great service!

I spoke with gentleman about keeping my dogs off it after tx, he was very pleasant and knowledgeable re- how often done in spring and how egfective weed killer is.

I inquired with TruGreen a few weeks ago about some issues with my lawn, but my husband and I decided to go another route. Today, Jeff from TruGreen showed up at my home. He called me and left a message. Then, I start getting notifications from my cameras that someone is on my property. I then check my cameras and Jeff is on the side of my home looking over my six foot privacy fence. I did not give permission to anyone at TruGreen to be on my property. This is a huge invasion of privacy.

The best lawn care in town, I call. I have been a customer for almost 16 years now. I am quite happy to see the results each year. When I moved in, there was no grass in my yard. I started from scratch, but there was a time, I gave up on the weed taking over my yard. TruGreen did a fantastic job in the first year when I was looking for some serious help back then. I have been getting their service year after year and my yard is weed-free. Thank you.

Dayshone is the first technician in several years who rang my bell, and asked if he could start the service. When he finished, he came back to the door, rang the bell, and asked if I wanted the receipt in my hand, or place it on the door knob. I was so impressed with this young man. Others technicians could benefit from his performance today. Polite, Respectful, and Gracious. I hope to have him return for future applications.

I will try to not be long winded, but heres the story. I could not give 1 star, because their phone reception people are actually pretty good - no rudeness and fair communication skills... but hes the deal: you CANNOT reach your local office or dispatch. I had ONE simple request - I need to meet technician on site and I needed 1.5 hour notice to be able to come back from the office. They showed up on the property... 6 times on 6 different days. The tech called me ONCE. And only AFTER he showed up - to apologize that he didnt read special instructions. I was never able to talk to management - they just do not connect you. In addition to that, I CLEARLY communicated that I will need only ONE initial service that they quoted me at $264. The day after I made reservation I was charged over$600 and had to waist almost 2 hours on the phone getting a refund. Nightmare. Had to cancel and will never call them again.

I ve seen a big improvement in my lawn. Have not had any issues.

Our lawn was riddled with weeds and brown patches. Now it is changing to very plush green healthy grass we can enjoy

I would have given no stars at this point. Saturday your rep Courtney cussed me out. I have it on camera. Then was promised a reservice on Monday. no one showed. I called and they gave me excuses and said that the incident when i called on Saturday was never recorded. Then I was promised a reservice on Wednesday. The guy never did the back yard so I call again and at this point ask for a manager and Tyler on the phone was amazing. He took my concerns down and sent them in an email to a manager. Today a coordinator calls asking what happened. I want to talk to a manager, I dont want to sound like a Karen but how do you allow this type of service to happen?

Can t find my original review. We were VERY upset about when we had over seeding and aeration done in Fall of 2022. They got right next to our garden and at least a food all the way around out garden got seeded and it took months to get out all that grass. I m still fighting it today. But other than that, our grass looks great. We still have some areas that will need work done but it s a lot different than how our grass was. Most of our yard was covered in weeds. The office people don t seem to respond and they always don t seem well informed. Depending on who you talk to, they give you different information. When it comes to the tech who actually come out and do the work (other than the last aeration and over seeding we got done) they are great. They send very informative invoices after each service, which is helpful so we know what needs to be done or improved on. So we will continue using them for at least another year, as they suggested, to get the best we can out of our lawn.

Tried Trugreen mosquito this summer. Did not go spray without issue. Lazy workers who do not spray the entire property. I do not recommend. When they did spray we still had issues with mosquitos. We have had another mosquito spray service in the past, and never had issues with the tech or mosquito after spraying. We are switching back. Trugreen offered us a deal this year and thought we try. It definitely wasnt worth it. You get for what you pay for.

You dont try to oversell and you listen to the customer. You understand that when the weather is not cooperative that rescheduling or returning to redo the service are options. The price is a little pricey, but worth it when needing to talk with customer service.

Tru Green on the phone, said it was going to put down pre-emergent this fall to address the Japanese Stilt grass. However, when technician arrived and saw it in the notes, he informed me that Tru Green never puts down pre-emergent in the fall. Corporate and customer service are not knowledgeable about grass or their products. Technician is great.

We called to inquire about pricing for lawn service for our property. First, the gentleman on the phone was extremely pushy with getting us to choose TruGreen. So we told him to just send us the quote, and well look over it and get back to him. Then within 2 days, TruGreen showed up at our property to spray, and charged us for the application. We didnt sign a contract with them, we didnt tell them that we were going with them... all we asked for was a quote. Very shady business.

Still cant get them to do the backyard unbelievable and they never leave paper work always printer broke maybe they should get new printers

True green treated my lawn with chemicals on 4/26 although I do not have/nor pay for any service. I had already treated my lawn for the springtime, yet I came home from work to discover true green flags in my front and back yard. I have a dog and young daughter who play on my lawn and I specifically treat it with that in mind. Ive called true green twice and left complaints with two separate people. No one has called me back. Also I have no idea what was put in my yard, apparently normally true green leaves a receipt yet this time the technician wrote in sharpie on a pamphlet that the printer was broken and my yard was treated as scheduled. Its been almost a month and yard is turning brown. No one has spoken to me, I keep being told its going to be 1-2 days and still nothing.

We had them scheduled to come out at 4:30 pm no show (cause guy was sitting around corner writing a false invoice ) so my wife calls and ask why then sales rep or whoever he is or was decided to say well he will be there at 9pm which we said absolutely not its dark at that time so we cancel service all together then tech decides to issue a false invoice claiming to service our lawn me and my wife were both home at time he claimed he worked in my yard do yourselves a favor and void this place at all cost cause this is insane I will be contacting the better business burea also might wanna keep eyes on techs

We contracted TruGreen in 2021 to address an area in our backyard that has not grown grass since our septic system was replaced. TruGreen guaranteed their service, which was the reason that we chose them over their competitors in the first place. They completed the first Aeration/Seed service on 11/2/21 and another service on 4/11/22. We did see improvement, but not for long. The new grass died and we were left with the same mud bath that we started with. After a couple of calls, we were told that the next service would be in the Fall. In July of 2022 we decided to call again after the rain and mud lead to more disappointment. After a few emails, we were told that the service that TruGreen provided was not appropriate for our situation. How convenient that they would wait until after we paid for their services to enlighten us with this information. A quality company that claims to be the best would and should have addressed this prior to the first application. In addition, their employees broke our sump pump pipe and did not report it (it was addressed after we called). This could have been avoided had they taken the time to meet with us prior to starting the treatment. Another example of customer service, that like the dinosaurs has become extinct!

Sitting here at Wawa and Im watching employees just throw trash and construction PPE right on the ground. I guess theyll hire just anybody.

I have used TruGreen in multiple locations for the lawn care and some with the three and shrubs and had great results. Since moving to Maryland I have been less than impressed. At my current house I have used the Perimeter Pest Control, Mosquito Protection, and Lawn Care. One thing I m less than impressed is here they never knock or discuss anything with the treatment with me. It seems they try to get in and out quickly without discussing anything. Perimeter Pest Control Not long after we starting using this service I noticed a yellow jacket nest behind some stones on the side of our house. I called TruGreen to address this issue, and when the technician arrived I was told there was nothing they could do about it. They recommended getting some sort of spray. I then called a local pest control company and they were able to get rid of the next in one visit. I would never recommend this service to anyone. Mosquito Protection We decided to try this service. The notes stated the mosquitos will decrease in numbers over the next few weeks. They did not. I have found I had much more luck using a buzz zapper for the mosquitos than using this service Lawn Care This is the service I would half way recommend. It does make the lawn look good, however the technicians do take shortcuts. I have cameras in the backyard and they record when detecting motion. The backyard cameras did not detect any motion during the time of the service which indicates they did not do the entire backyard. We have a pizza oven, grill, fire pit, etc where you can t just stand on the side of the yard and spray. The technician needs to physically go in the back to treat the entire yard. This makes me wonder how well of a job the technician did around the entire house. I did call and schedule them to come out and re-treat, however I did get a call from the local office trying to upsell me on using the tree and shrub service. It baffled me they want to upsell me when they can t even do the proper job of the services I am paying for. Overall the lawn care isn t bad, but over I ve been less and less impressed with this service.

Beware. Technicians will spray and kill your ornamental flowers and vegetables. Technician came and sprayed my sedum, sage, peonies, lilacs, and vegetable garden. All these plants were in designated growing beds, or containers.. Theyre all wilting/dying. A supervisor came out and said theyd grow back, and hed discount the service. What a joke! Replace my years old garden flowers! Im not eating vegetables after they were treated with these chemicals. Use only if you have strictly grass I guess.

When I signed up for service I was told someone would be here every 4 weeks. When I hadnt received my 2nd service after the 5th week I had to sit on hold for over a half hour to be told they come every 4 to 6 weeks which is NOT what I was told when the service plan was sold to me.

Poor service. Lawn was treated in the front yard, but not the back yard.... not once, but twice this season.

Beware! Hire if you like throwing money away. You do not get what you pay for from these guys, you dont even get a quarter of what you pay for! Cancelled them today. Did a crap job on aerating my yard and seeding. Did not come close to doing my whole yard. Never would I recommend this company to anyone!

Lied about performing a service.

Sending people door to door in Nottingham who demand people speak to them. Two TruGreen employees came to my home and disrespected my wife when she told them she was not interested in the service/did not have time to speak as she was working, then stood in my driveway looking at my house, running their mouth. Two male employees, 20 something, one white, one Asian. Be thankful I was not home when this happened. Avoid this company and their shady sales tactics, disrespect, and unprofessionalism. @TrueGreen, identify these employees and contact me.

My service was from March 2019 to November 2019 . After my account was closed on November. I start receiving services on March and April 2020 and start getting bills , i have called and canceled 3 time and still recieved service . Last time i called there excuse was the lady didn t do it right and didn t close my account . Which is not my fault. Regardless there service , quality and value . Customer service is really bad make sure you called more than once to make sure you account is cancelled and closed and that you won t receive services and get your cancellation number.

TruGreen serviced our lawns for multiple years. When we were looking to cancel due to declining quality services, they said let us do it one more time at a discount. We said okay, but remember not to go in the backyard. We have two dogs, and dont want the chemicals in the backyard where they play (chemicals get on paws, dogs lick paws per natural cleaning, dog ingests poisonous chemicals). Additionally, our dogs are typical dogs and get VERY anxious when strangers come into the yard. When its a nice day out and someones home to keep an eye on them, they like to hang out in the backyard (a fenced area) for some play time. Also, TruGreen never tells you what time they are coming over, the most notice weve ever received was a message the night before saying We will be by tomorrow to service your lawn. What are we supposed to do?! Leave the dogs inside all day on the guarantee that youll be here sometime between 8am and 6pm, but no idea when in that time frame?!?! No way!!! They need to have potty breaks and they need to exercise and play! The serviceman came out to service the lawn in the early evening on 6/22/20 (no way were our dogs going to be stuck inside on a nice day for that long). After servicing the front lawn, he proceeded to open the gate to go into the backyard, despite our adamant and constant requests that they are NOT to do so. There is NO WAY he could have not known the dogs were there as both dogs are barkers at any passerby. Needless to say, the dogs were NOT happy to have a stranger in their yard. So, they chased him until he jumped the fence into our neighbors yard (our direct neighbor was outside in his own yard to witness this). However, the serviceman never closed the gate, so BOTH dogs got out of the yard!!! THEN, instead of informing someone, he drove off and left!!! Luckily our direct neighbor (who is good friends with both dogs), was able to alert us and help us safely get both dogs back in our house. One dog made it down 3-4 houses (with time it couldve been much farther) before another neighbor was able to catch her!!! Thankfully we dont live on a busy road, and many people were outside on a nice day to help us. SO TO RECAP: 1) TruGreen never tells you when theyre coming over to service the lawn, only a message the day before saying well be there sometime tomorrow 2) TruGreen ignored our reasonable and necssary requirements that they were not supposed to service the backyard (this is not the first time they have done it without our approval, only the first time the dogs happened to be outside) and likely failed to note it anywhere in our client profile or on the instructions for the servicemen. 3) the serviceman entered our backyard without our permission 4) the serviceman ignored common sense and proceeded into the backyard despite knowing there were unfamiliar dogs there (I dont know about you, but I NEVER enter a strangers yard when their dogs are out) 5) he left the gate open and both dogs got out 6) he left the property without informing us that the dogs had been let out Needless to say, TruGreens services are absolutely cancelled. My family and are appalled at the lack of communication, attention, and common sense in this situation. If he had come to the door and said can you bring your dogs inside so I can service the back lawn, we would have been able to explain that he wasnt supposed to do so. OR the company could also notify clients what time theyll be at the house so the client has time to make sure the house is ready. If either option had happened, this WHOLE situation could have been avoided.

DO NOT EVEN INQURE WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO RECEIVE CALLS FOR YEARS!!!! Called to ask a few questions 2 YEARS AGO!!! still receiving calls on a weekly basis, have called every number we could find and were told by the other end that we would stop receiving calls which was BS!!!

My lawn doesnt look well

My scheduled time was noon to 4 pm. That morning I received a text telling me that the technician would be here 7 am to noon. I didn t leave because I wanted to speak to the technician since this was our first treatment. He didn t arrountil 4:15 pm. The scheduling is very disappointing.

Very easy to work with. They arrived on time and completed the job quickly.

I used tru green last season and was disappointed in results. I was doing it myself but thought I would give them a try. Big mistake. I did not sign up for this season but they charged my account anyway. I called to tell them to stop and they told me it would take 10 days to refund my money.

Just one application and my lawn is already awesome. I am very pleased with the results and my technician.

Excellent service from the technician who completed our mosquito service.

Fast service. We opted to pay for all services for there. The first application took place less than a week later. The initial mosquito treatment needed a repeat. A few days later 2 technicians arrived. Havent seen a mosquito since reapplication. No harm to my pets or scrubs. Great job! Easy customer service access. Nice to speak with a live person.

So far, great experience. Lawn care care has been excellent.

The people that come out and spray it takes them 2 mins and they are gone. My kids are covered head to toe with mosquito bites and so are we. I have to call them back and have them keep spraying. I will not be using them again next year. My neighbors as well have this company came out but they are having the same problems.

I like the Tree and Shrub technician Randy Magruder who is very professional and knowledgeable. He answers all my questions so I know whats going on and what to except with my landscape. I also like getting a phone call the day before service is scheduled to be so I can be prepared.

The nicest bunch of guys to work with. We have the lawn care and the tree and shrub care. They do a wonderful job. My lawn looks like carpet!

Been through 4 staff trying to fix a burn problem from their first application a year ago. Theres incompetence, then theres their version of engineered cover for their incompetence. This is deciet. Yes, at least two ranking staff are outright liars. One expert will overule another, always in benefit of the company. Until once some course lady office chief denied them to fulfill their promises. The tragedy is that they submitted to it like beta males. They will initially admit damaging my lawn but I refuse to actually pay them to fix it. How stupid do they think one can be? Are most people they deal with this gullible? They say they wont fix the damage unless I re-committ to a year contract. Parasitical behavior, business psychopaths. I said no I will resume the contract when the lawn damage is fixed. I was also promised soil testing during the sales pitch, before any selection of fertilizer was spread. Never happened. This ended up burning the lawn. Typical predatory lummoxes trying to get contract signatures over treating a customer right after a screw-up. After a year of not calling back after two guys, E**c and P**l outright promising to give me just a small bag of seed so I can just do it myself, and regrow the burned areas, weeks go by no response. He promised to drop off seed at 10 am 3 weeks ago, never showed. Liars. Ive called them trying an array of motivational means to get them off their lying asses to be men of their word. They are shameless children masquerading as experts. Their slogan that my satisfaction is so important? BS. Still waiting for that little promisef bag of seed.

Two Issues: 1. I specifically asked to pay monthly for 6 months of service. They confirmed this more than once, then proceeded to charge the full amount to my credit card. Shady business practices. 2. After four months of applications, my yard now has more weeds and variety of weeds than ever before. The neighbor asked me if TruGreen was coming out and spraying weed-seed, and I suspect they might be. There are more convenient and enjoyable ways to waste your money, and I dont recommend wasting it on these guys.

TruGreen is a nationwide lawn Card; services are prompted, service experts most are knowledgeable and friendly. Customer Service Representatives are courteous/knowledgeable; I had a complaint about one service, they quickly sent someone to provide a free service. No question, no argument.

Weve had TruGreen for several years and have always been happy with their service. We dont have to think about applying the correct treatment at the correct time, and have a nice lawn as a result. Weve had others ask what we do for our lawn because of its attractive appearance. If any weeds do appear, they address the problem quickly and effectively.

A person from TruGreen came to my house THREE TIMES today. The first time I ignored him and he went away. The second time I opened the door, told him I wasnt interested and shut the door. About 15 minutes later he knocked again! I had to threaten to call the police to get him to leave!!!

They came 1 1/2 weeks ago. Within 3 days of their first application a majority of my perennial plants that bordered our grassy areas shriveled up. I have made 6 seperate calls to discuss this issue with Tru Green. I was promised a call and visit. Well no one has come out, even though they have promised to visit 2 times. I am filing a suit in small claims court since this seems to be the only remedy I can get from this company.
