I had to have the main walkway, pavers, to my front door repaired, as the pavers had settled far more than ever expected, and the walkway became a possible liability (tripping hazard). Jeff repaired the walk by elevating the pavers; and replaced the edging, which had worked its way out of the soil, with some broken pieces. He and his crew did a fine job! They also laid traprock under my new fence, and behind my shed. They had to do quite a bit of digging, laid landscape fabric under stone to keep weeds at a minimum. I am very pleased with the work they did. They cleaned up after the job. Jobs well done!!

Great company, honest hardworking people and very detailed. This company is by far the most professional and affordable landscaping company around the local area. I recommend by far you give them a call for all your landscaping needs and more.

My experience with Encore Landscaping was superb! The largest project that Encore worked on was hardscape for my side yard that had recession; I wanted to have boulder reinforcement and backfill with soil so I could have a border garden around an entertainment/recreation area. From the design meeting where they did minute measurements, to offering me to pick out the rocks with them (I declined because I trust them), to the day of installation that worked like clockwork, to returning for another project and fixing a drainage issue that I had forgot to mention, Encore was incredibly professional. I felt like they took so much pride in their work, as if it was their own house. I've since hosted 2 block parties in this area with lots of compliments. The second largest project was the refurbishment of a brick patio. What I asked for was going to be very expensive and so they offered an alternative of using the same materials, but rebuilding it which cost 1/8 as much. It looks brand new! My neighbors could not believe how good it looked. I keep coming back to these wonderful landscapers because I can trust their expertise and that they will get the job done better than anyone else.

Unfortunately, they’re very disorganized and we experienced many issues, some still unresolved. Incomplete work in one part - the most expensive part of the job) - where mortar is showing on one small end of the landing but none on the rest and now I have to pay someone to fix that! And there’s no mortar between the vertical stones so I’m very skeptical about the future of it. They claim it’s just not done that way and I can’t help but disagree as I look at other similar installations that clearly have mortar between the stones. Photo attached of ours. They ruined our lawn (costing us yet more $ by parking the stone pallets on it and promised to fix it but we ended up doing the work to fix it (and it’s still not recovered and looks terrible). Photos attached. They sent us incorrect invoices taxing the hold deposit and we had to send them corrected accounting based on standard accounting practices. They refused to provide a breakdown of labor and materials which we wanted after being surprised with the big price increase after the job was done. The first three time I asked she completely ignored ignored the question. I pressed further and she finally said we don’t do that. Pretty weird considering they have that info readily available and they know how frustrated I was with their final bill that was much higher than expected. Also, after I made decisions and multiple trips (40 min each way) to the stone yard, for a second part of the job while the first part began, the husband told the wife to talk me out of what I wanted (even though they’d known for weeks what I was asking for and it isn’t something strange - pea stone path with stepping stones). So she attempted to talk me out of it and When I finally had enough I said get me a quote for what you’re suggesting and that quote never came. Looking back, I see that was a recurring theme as it happened several times when discussing project phases and materials decisions. I cancelled the second and third phases because of the these issues. They also took every spare stone and didn’t leave us any (that we paid for) and when we asked for some to be brought back so we’d have a few in case we need to replace any in the future, they said they would but never have. We ended up paying twice what we should have paid, based on visits from other service providers. They seem like nice people…and I didn’t want to leave this review…I really wanted to be satisfied and waited over a month to try to give them benefit of the doubt on things like the lawn and spare stones but despite raising these issues with them they haven’t followed through and now I have to find and pay a different group to fix these things. When people we know ask what we paid they are shocked so between that and having to see the landing incomplete every day when I’m out watering plants or pulling into the driveway it is very upsetting considering what we paid.

We had a real problem with our landscaping on our side yard.Encore designed and installed a beautiful garden bed that we can be proud of.

I've happily been working with Encore Landscaping for over 5 years. They take care of my spring/fall clean-ups, shrub & perennial plantings, pruning, bed design, mulching, and now snow removal. They worked with me to temporarily take over mowing while I was recovering from surgery so they are very flexible. Super nice to work with!

After hiring Diane and her crew , I now have a yard I can enjoy . She has taught me so much about how to take care of plants, and how to select them for my particular soil type , light issues and more . She and her crew also installed brick paths leading from my front door and ending at my back shed , so I can traverse my entire yard easily . Her crew also returns in the spring and fall for leaf removal, pruning and mulch application . She has rescued more than one shrub with issues and restored it to health . I always look forward to the next adventure with Diane and her crew.
