I just had roughly 2000 square feet of turf installed at my residence by Install-It-Direct, and could not be more pleased by their professionalism and attention to detail from their initial estimate and throughout the entire installation process. Nate talked me out of using pavers, which would have been more expensive than turf, which speaks very much for their honesty and doing right by the customer. He provided me pluses and minuses of both options (turf vs. pavers) and walked me to two houses in the neighborhood using turf, giving contrasts and comparisons with those turf instances and their product, really helping with my decision. Patricks project management could not have been more helpful, and both he and Nate assuaged any concerns I had in bringing the project through to a great end result.

Very good experience with our design and install. Communication was great, work progressed nicely every day, the quality of work was excellent, and they were reasonably priced. Patrick was our Project Manager. He was incredibly responsive and detail oriented. Highly recommend.

This is the third time Install-It-Direct has done work on our property and they are just as good now as they were in 2010 when they did the first project. Rich, Patrick, Cosme, and crew understood that it was a painful but necessary decision for us to comply with the States AB 3074 Zone Zero. Plans were drawn up and a meeting on site that included a very thorough walk-through of the project was done several days before the start date so there would be no surprises. They listened and answered every question. We are very pleased with what they did and how they did it. There was daily contact with Patrick and Rich while the work was being done and they have stayed in touch to make sure we are happy with the project. We are.

Working with Install It Direct was the best choice we made when starting our backyard landscaping project. The planning and concept stage was great; we coordinated with Nate several times and iterated the design multiple times. Nate was patient and very helpful, with awesome feedback. The project started on time and finished on time. The project manager, Patrick, would be on site once a day to manage progress, respond to queries, and provide materials needed. Antonio was the foreman on the job, and he was absolutely amazing. Smart, experienced, strong, great attention to details, and fast very fast! We loved working with IID and highly recommend them for your project.

Install-IT-Direct did a great job on our side yard paver project. They were very professional, communicated well, and followed through on their proposal. They also stood in contrast to another contractor who I had bid the job, who did not impress at all. In fact that was a big reason to go with Install-IT-Direct, who carefully measured out the area, provided a brochure with designs and paver options, and communicated a clear and thorough scope of work proposal. They even promptly followed up after the project when an outside company had failed to pick up the extra pallets left behind. They immediately contacted the company and less than 24 hours later the issue was resolved. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who needs work done on their outdoor project. They were honest, professional, reliable, and the pricing was very reasonable.

This was our 2nd time using install it direct. First time they did my driveway, 2nd time was turf, drainage, and a couple of walkways. Very reasonably priced and exceptional quality. They always show up quickly and finish the job in half the time I would expect. Also very open to live feedback which I find to be absolutely necessary for big projects like this. They weren t satisfied until the job was up to par at all levels. Great guys to work with.

Install-it-Direct just completed our backyard makeover and we couldn t be happier with how it turned out. Right from the beginning, Chris our Designer, has been prompt and responsive in coming out to discuss the project and giving us an estimate. He made a lot of recommendations on design and materials, all with stunning results. He and his two lovely helpers Rinn and Kenzie even sacrificed a Saturday to come out to complete some final finishes. Troy our Project Manager, came on site everyday to check on progress and make sure everything was done correctly and according to plan. He communicated well with us and the crew and as a result, everything went smoothly. Victor and his crew is a hardworking team with great work ethics and workmanship. They worked everyday from day one, came on time every morning, worked non stop and cleaned up every day before they left. A special shout out to Angel and Fray who are the best at what they do - skilled, attention to details and great problem solvers in addition to the back-breaking physical labor. I highly recommend this group of true professionals.

Steve, Patrick, Juan and the rest of the team were great to work with. They helped guide us through the process and were very professional. The team had excellent commutation and were very quick to respond to any questions, and the job was done promptly. They did great work and we are so happy about the transformation of our yard.

We just finished getting our backyard paved from Install-It-Direct and I am not exaggerating when I say that they are hands down the most fair-priced, transparent, communicative, efficient, responsive, and customer service-oriented company we have ever had the pleasure of working with. Our moderate size yard was a mixture of cracked Spanish tiles, a lot of tree roots and a huge amount of dirt and rocks and they transformed it into a beautiful space that we can enjoy for years to come. From the designer Steve who gave us an esthetically- pleasing, cost effective design that met all of our needs, Operations Manager Jonathan who navigated all the logistics of getting the project started and progressing in a timely manner, Project Manager Patrick who was here from the beginning to the very end overseeing that the work was going right and responding to any of our concerns, as well unforeseen issues that inevitably rise after excavation, Foreman Antonio and his crew Leandro and later Danny and even the Owners- everyone from this stellar company was super-involved to make our project as stress free as possible, even with the unprecedented SoCal February rain we had after demolition. Project Manager Patrick communicated with us almost everyday during the crazy weeklong rain to give us updates on when Foreman Antonio, Leandro, and Danny can come back. Antonio and Leandro came by to make sure the ground was protected with plastic sheeting and returned back to work as soon as the ground was dried enough. These men are highly skilled and not only care that you get the best looking pavers, but also that you have you have proper drainage (which is paramount in paver installation I was told). They are punctual, efficient, courteous and made sure to leave your property cleaned up as much as possible at the end of each work day, even though we werent even asking that it be cleaned since the project itself means a lot of dirt. Project Manager is someone who has my utmost respect. He truly cares about his customers and I never felt that I was bothering him with any questions. Often times, he addressed concerns even before we asked. He was texting us and came by to the house almost everyday from start to finish. He is trustworthy, conscientious, and very amiable. Any concerns we had were promptly addressed and he made sure to find solutions, including when Foreman Antonio, Leandro and Danny discovered an unexpected huge pipe underground from our next door neighbors side of the property after digging. They came up a beautiful solution to make the area look like a plant stand that worked for us. You know how some companies no longer respond in a timely matter after the contract is signed or when the check is cashed? Heck, some of those companies dont even bother texting you back until hours later because they got paid lol. Thats the exact opposite of Install-It-Direct. Designer Steve, Project Manager Patrick and Operations Manager Jonathan always responded right away. We never felt ignored or forgotten throughout the project. After the pavers were done, we asked for a replacement of a few flawed looking pavers which we didnt see until the pavers were dried. We thought since the last check was cashed and the project was deemed over, were probably not going to hear back from them for a while, but Project Manager Patrick proved us wrong! He responded right away to my text and immediately let Operations Manager Jonathan know to have Foreman Antonio return to replace the flawed looking pavers. To me that is the hallmark of exceptional customer service: when a company responds and comes back quickly after the project is completed because of customer request. We highly recommend Install-It-Direct. They really are the best company we have ever worked with and thats saying a lot because it takes a lot for me to write a review but I am happy to write this one for them. Thank you Install-It-Direct for doing such excellent work for us!

Install-it-direct, did an excellent job with my yard. They work as a team, and keep you informed of the progress. Steve, Patrick, Jonathan and the team who did the work were professional, flexible and my yard looks fantastic. I wanted a drought free yard and I am getting compliments from neighbors and friends. Install-it-Direct just completed our walkway and front porch project and it looks great. It was a pleasure to work with Troy and his team leader, Antonio, on a daily basis. They were dependable, accessible, diligent, and conscientious. The job was completed on time and we would definitely recommend them.

We had Install-It-Direct design and install a retaining wall for a sloped portion of our yard. They provided lots of advice and options for getting the look we wanted at a good price. Patrick and Antonio s team were able to bring the vision to life in less than a week. The final installation was done with high quality workmanship and has increased the value of our home. We highly recommend their services and look forward to the next project with them.

I worked with INSTALL-IT-DIRECT to have a paver patio and turf installed in my backyard. Overall it was a good experience and I would use them again and recommend them. I think they are in a sweet spot of 4 star results at a 4 star price which makes them a good value as long as you arent worried about the tiniest of details! They do use sub-contractors so each persons experience is going to be highly dependent on the quality of their subcontractor as the INSTALL-IT-DIRECT employees are not as involved in the work being done stage as they may lead you to believe.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY: Run, don t walk away from this absolute nightmare of a company. I ve delt with roofers, plumbers, electricians, solar installation companies, etc. and never had issues with like what I ve dealt with here. Just to be clear: what you re actually paying for is a severely underpaid subcontractor and a series of smarmy middlemen. (Just read some of their responses to negative reviews if you want to get a taste of what you re signing up for if you use this company.) I had a very straightforward 500 sq ft patio installation and went with this company due to their good reviews, good design salesman, and how quickly they could get the job done. As soon as I signed the initial contract, they hit me with a $1,500 change order to increase a 32 ft walkway by 1 foot (should have been $3-400) and I had to go back and forth and threaten to cancel the job before they backed off. They reassured me that the design manager and PM would be present during each day of the job and deal directly with the subcontracted installation crew; what actually happened was the PM would only show up for like 5 minutes each day and didn t actually seem do anything to check on the quality of the install. They pretended like it was a job well done and asked for final payment until I called them out on their initial install which essentially looked like an amateur s first DIY job: uneven paver field with humps and dips, borders without cuts and full of dips and waves like they didn t use a string line, many pavers without joint sand, and a significant portion of the paver field was graded towards the house. To make matters worse, after they thought the job was done, they left about 20 wheelbarrows of gravel base on the street in front of a neighbor s trailer because the subcontractor wanted to charge them extra money to move it off the street. I had to do come home and move the gravel by myself in the dark to avoid causing extra issues with neighbors. They also ignored our previously agreed-upon plan to install access to a sewer cleanout (didn t tell me, I had to call them out on it), left a dirty worksite, blew polymeric sand everywhere using a leaf blower instead of a broom, etc. I had to cancel checks, get on calls with the company s founder, send countless texts detailing what was done incorrectly with pictures and video evidence performing water tests and using my own bubble levels and STILL had them try to gaslight me about what we had agreed upon in terms of the grade of the paver field (towards an existing drain in the lawn), whether the pavers field was going towards house in some parts, etc. It took 2.5 weeks to for them to complete the 3-day job and, to be fair, they were able to correct worst of the initial installation issues (not because they wanted to, but because I called them out on it using bubble levels and water tests). However, there are still aesthetic issues (chipped pavers, pavers without joint sand, and a few elevated pavers in a few places) but I was so tired of dealing with the company that it was clear that the installation crew was not capable of doing it properly. If you do have the unfortunate luck to have to deal with this company, get every single minute detail in writing because they will agree to things in person but then the next day say the exact opposite in text. Be prepared to need to micromanage every single component of the project to double check that you re not being screwed over. Be prepared to spend countless hours going back and forth with various middlemen to get them to come back and correct anything. If you don t have a construction background and/or are not comfortable confronting passive aggressive and gaslighting men about the quality of their work, then I highly recommend avoiding this company and find one that has their own crews that take pride in the quality of their work.

From Nate helping us decide on a wonderful design to Caleb with management of the project, they were patient, communicative, professional, and their work ethic was top notch! We cannot be more pleased with how our project came out! Thank you again IID crew!

Tried to get a quote for artificial turf installation. Typical old fashioned sale tactics - can we have your spouse with you. Took 45 minutes to measure the lawn (~500 SQ ft) and then said will give quote in 2nd meeting where I can choose the sample with my wife. I told him that to just send the quote for the two samples that I had shortlisted over email. Followed up after a couple of days and he said he was still working on the quote. Then next day said he will need one more visit on the weekend to measure. I said. No gthanks. The other installer we went with took 15 minutes to measure and gave a quote on the spot. If you value time, avoid install-it-direct

My front yard and driveway was a mess! The driveway was cracked uneven and has probably been there since the house was built in 1960. Drought conditions made caring for a vegetation forward yard very costly and consequently hedges that have been in place for 50 years or more we dying. I decided to go water wise and called Install-It-Direct. I am so glad that I choose them for the work. My yard looks lovely and the pavers in the driveway are a dream for me. From start to finish it took 9 days which to me was amazingly fast. No regrets here!

I got my small backyard done which was grass and not in s state that we could use it in summers (winters completely out of use). John Campbell helped in Sales and design and he did tremendous job to meet us on pricing and work with us to make it a good value for the money we spent. Once agreement signed, job started immediately and complete work almost 1K sq ft did not take more than 1 week. Delay in between was only waiting for material. Patrick Diehl (PM) and Sebastien (Lead) took care to complete the work without any issues. We added standalone barbeque island (as a last min update) using our existing standalone barbeque and they worked with us to design and install it as per our satisfaction. Just cannot say enough how happy we are with both our landscape designer who designed and bid on the job (Bill) and the team of guys who completed the work (Alan, Roman & team). The entire experience was terrific. I felt like we were treated with honesty and respect by Bill. He is a fantastic listener and really designed something that we wanted but couldnt envision ourselves. The crew... oh the crew, the incredible work ethic was something Ive never seen by any contractors before. Long hours every day (even I was trying to tell them to go home!). They were so dedicated to doing beautiful and quality work. In terms of budget, Bill really came through with giving us something wed love that was in our budget, without skimping on quality. Truly impressed with them and would definitely use/recommend them again - they really nailed it!

I got quotes from 8 different contractors for my backyard walkway and patio. I went with Install-It-Direct because they provided a very thorough quote; the exact work that would be done was clear, and it was obvious that they were not going to skip corners. Their cost was also very reasonable (not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive). Working with them was very easy. They were responsive to all of my concerns. And most importantly, the path looks awesome! I am very happy with the end result. I would recommend Install-It-Direct to friends and family.

We met with many local contractors when planning our backyard renovation project. Emily at Install-it-Direct went above and beyond the rest. She spent months planning the project details and working around two working parents schedules often meeting late at night during the week. Chris MacMillan managed and designed the project. Hes super knowledgable, and during the whole project, he and the project lead, Nicholas, who was in charge of the worker schedules, were both always proactive and easy to work with. I started my project small with with intention of replacing backyard cracking concrete with pavers, ended up spent a lot more on a cooking center and a fire pit, plus bunch of other miscellaneous updates and fixes. Were very happy with what it turned out.

Install it direct did an amazing job on our patio installing new pavers. Jon our consultant did a great job staying on top of everything , the project was completed 2 days early .

Chris and Troy installed hardscape, BBQ island, and turf in our front/back yard and we are very happy with the results! They were so easy to work with and brought their knowledge and experience to the table with great suggestions that improved our original plan.

We extremely regret hiring this company to install a retaining wall in the front of our house which fell on the ground after a couple months. As most of the work they do is subbed out to other independent contractors, we got a really poor job starting with the retaining wall, which fell off within 2 months after installation. Want to know why? Turns out they were supposed to put glue in every row of the blocks they used, but since they were getting paid piece work (working from 7am to 7pm) they cut corners and didn t put glue as they were supposed to. Aron, the project manager, is really slow to respond, and After reaching out for more than a month, he finally came out to check out the fence that fell, he acknowledged the guys they hired didn t apply the necessary adhesive, so he told us he would send somebody out to repair it. It took them another month to have someone come out and repair it. So for over 2 months, I had a whole fence laying on the ground, in the front of my house. That was the most embarrassing part every because I didn t event want to invite anyone to my house and see that mess. Even the neighbors would criticize when seeing the fence laying on the ground. I attached photos of it for reference. By the way, Aaron s excuse to his slow responding was that he had no time to come out right away because he was managing several projects at the time, over inland empire, Orange country and San Diego. First thing I thought: that shouldn t be my problem but apparently it was because when I reached out to the company for help, there was nobody else that could help me but this arrogant project manager that would yell at me for not understanding his lack of time. Steve, the sales man, was no good either. He helped out through the sales process but after we signed the contract, we lost him! He didn t communicate with his people right, the workers were disposing stuff that was supposed to be re used. The contract called out for installation of planters over the rocks. Steve provided the samples and options all last minute, the day before they were going to install the planters, and just told my wife that She had to make a decision now, and hopefully they had the stuff in stock. If they didn t, he suggested that we can just do that at a later time by someone else. It was a horrible experience all the way through. They were the most expensive out of all the quotes we got and the customer service is a total fail. Worst choice I ever made.

IID did a complete backyard makeover for us - tore out existing concrete and installed porcelain pavers, dining table and fire table. They did a terrific job and everything looks great. Nate, our design consultant, was especially great to work with. Highly recommend.

Install It Direct was one of two companies that we went through a full design consultation and estimate process for our small front and back yard in our new construction home. While both bids were similar enough in price, we ultimately choose to go with Install It Direct because of our overly positive experience with Ron, our design consultant. Ron came with great suggestions and was willing to revise the design and work to maximize our budget. Ron was also straightforward about the pros and cons of turf and pavers and gave advice as to what other home projects we could prioritize next to maximize the longevity of the landscaping project (get gutters!). As first-time homeowners, we were grateful for the extra info. Our incredibly slow HOA approval process pushed us way past our anticipated start date for install and into the December holidays. Even with the delay on our side and the complete disruption to life from COVID-19, we were impressed that the install team made things work and got everything done in a relatively short amount of time. Yes, there were some hiccups and slowdowns here and there, mainly due to the state of the world right now, but ultimately, we are happy with how everything turned out. The quality of the work is great, they were able to level our backyard way beyond what we are expecting within our budget. Thanks to the work of Install It Direct we can finally enjoy being in our backyard.

We are pleased to have the opportunity to write an A++ review for INSTALL-IT-DIRECT, and the outstanding project manager, Sam Muscariello, who managed our project. This was a comprehensive project including design, materials, irrigation, artificial turf, topsoil, mulch, gravel, mulch, lighting, and a myriad of native and other low water plants. When we look at the before and after pictures, we still have to blink twice, as it is hard to believe the amazing transformation. This is a cul-de-sac with only a few houses, and now we are the talk of the neighborhood with everyone marveling at the transformation, how beautifully done it is, and some inspired to meet with the company for their own upgrades. They also saw for themselves how well organized it was, how the supplies were neatly staged in the driveway each day, how hard the install crew worked and how they completely cleaned up and reorganized every single night before leaving. They also saw how well the crew was managed by Sam, his positive leadership manner, and his genuine care for each phase of the project and for his crew. I chose Install-It-Direct after reading the rating on Yelp. The project includes paving 1200 sqf, putting 180 ft drainage and installing 500 sqf. We are very satisfy with the outcome of the project. They did very good in designing and choosing material for the project. The construction team is professional, they took care the detail and the corner very well, the paver area looks beautiful. The cost of the project is reasonable. They started the work 2 months after signing the contract. I am happy because I had chosen the right company for the project.

I had multiple bids from numerous companies and based on the reviews and Thomas s professionalism and thorough knowledge I decided to go with this company. I couldn t be any happier with the results, literally exceeded my expectations when it comes to service, and final product. The workers addressed any of my concerns the whole way and never made me feel like I was being a pain.

Our neighbor recommended Chris when we were admiring the job he had done. My wife and I liked Chris immediately. He explained everything well and offered multiple options explaining the pros and cons and cost of each. What we chose ended up a little less than I had expected. Excellent service from Steve with initial planning, design and HOA architectural plans submit/approval support. Once project was initiated Walter and his crew were very professional, punctual and provided daily project updates. Once project was completed, both Steve and Walter went over everything to ensure I was completely satisfied with the work done. I highly recommend their services.

Our backyard is the oasis we have always wanted! I would HIGHLY recommend Install IT Direct!! I setup appts with 5 different contractors to get estimates for our backyard and they were all over the place. When I called Install IT Direct their concierge was very friendly and knowledgeable and shared that a sales rep would reach out to setup more time and shared that they provide complimentary estimates and 2D drawings of our space and if we wanted a 3D version it s $1,000 but would be applied to our project. Within about 30 minutes the sales rep Thomas called me back and set up an appt to look at our property the next day. He was on time, extremely professional, and very friendly. Within a few days he provided a drawing of our space and detailed estimate with line items for each part of the project. The prices seemed fair and we scheduled the work. They were able to start almost immediately which was wonderful! Thomas introduced me to the project manager, Frank who was absolutely incredible to work with. He kept in touch throughout the entire process to check in and confirm details with me to ensure it was exactly how we wanted it. The crews were fantastic, they worked extremely hard M-S, they did an amazing job, and were very tidy. I loved that once they started the project they stayed until they finished, I didn t have to worry about them picking up other projects and fighting to have ours finished. If you re looking to have work done, look no further, Thomas and Frank are such a great team and will oversee your project start to finish.

Install-It-Direct just completed the most beautiful transformation of my large, neglected front and side yard and I couldn t be happier. Thomas, Frank and the whole entire rock star crew made the complete process seamless and stress free. The process stared with Thomas, who carefully listened to my wishes and crafted the most exquisite drought tolerant low maintenance 3D rendering of my front and side yard. Frank and his rock star team brought the plan to a reality in just 2 short weeks. The team was extremely fast, professional, neat and all-around nice guys. I have been meaning to redo by front landscape for years, but never found a contractor who I felt comfortable with such a big project. The more I think of how poorly run this company the more it has pushed me to write about my experience. I say this as I am finishing the work that was promised in my front yard that never was completed. All I want is for other people to know how bad this company is and to stay away to avoid the mess Im in now. Long story short, hired them to due basic landscaping and pavers. They completed some of the work promised, during the project we came across further work that had to be done and a change order had to be filled out. In the middle of this there project manager was fired, because he was quote causing problems and I was told not to communicate with him any further. Come to find out the rep had forged my wife s signature and when the new project manager came to pick up final payment and due final inspection he laughed at us and the fact this had been done , kicked around some dirt and waited for us to make full payment on a forged signature. The amount wasn t back breaking and instead of fighting with him in my lawn on payment and how absurd this was I wrote the final check. Just be done with it. A day later i wrote the owner and he said he was sorry and i told him how I felt and asked what they could do. Perhaps you could finish the project I paid you for? Perhaps you could own up to the fact your employee forged my wife s signature and then laughed at us when you found out only to ask for full payment instead. Days later they offered to send us a check to reimburse us for the forged signature which we said would help. And guess what? It never came a month later Im working in my yard I paid for and your check never came. Rest assured my lawyer will send you a letter soon. But this is for those looking for a good company. This is not them. Look elsewhere.

What a transformation a gorgeous patio surrounding our pool and elegant walkways around the house -- and all thanks to the people of Install-It-Direct -- a company dedicated to our project from the first consultation to the last installation. Dennis Caldwell and Aaron Dishon led the team. Dennis was key to formulating the design. He discussed with us various scenarios, and made excellent suggestions. Chief among them was extending the patio to include walkways around three sides of the house which connected all paved areas, giving it a unified, smooth, and seamless look, and adding an improved drainage system. Aaron did superlative work in coordinating all aspects of the project, which included the demolition of the old concrete and brick patio, installation of the drainage system and the pavers, and resolution of all other items. He was always available for questions and concerns, and that continued even after the project was finished. The installation crew was led by Antonio Sanchez. He and his team, Leandro and Roberto, were outstanding. They demolished the old and built the new on schedule, including extra projects necessary to complete the design. Their work is simply beautiful. The entire team are professional and knowledgeable. They kept to the timeline, the cost was fair, and above all, they made us their priority. We would not hesitate to hire Install-It-Direct again.

I wish I could rate Install-It Direct with 1000 stars! I had a full front yard and driveway demo and re-build project (pavers, turf, rock, hardscape, landscape) which seemed daunting to me at first. Mostly, because I couldn t picture what I wanted. From the start of the project design and estimate, to follow up, demo, and install every step of the way was professional. Thomas, Frank, Nicolas and the entire crew were exceptional. Thomas design work was amazing, Frank s project oversight totally on point, and Nicolas and the crew were professional, skilled, and did phenomenal work. I felt like I was part of the team the way everyone communicated with me. Everyone that supported this project was fantastic and the design and workmanship is perfect. After interviewing several paver contractors, we decided on Install-It-Direct to replace our driveway and add small patio with pavers. Chris our salesperson, besides being super friendly, was the only one to provide creative design ideas and provided a detailed estimate (most did not document the details). Install-It-Direct (IID) was not the lowest bidder, but also not the highest either. The quality of workmanship far surpassed our expectations. Frank, Nicholas, and crew were super polite and very communicative. They were amazingly fast at removing our old concrete, turf and installing over 1,000 square feet of pavers within about a week (including rain delays). I highly recommend IID.!

Alan Munoz, from Install It Direct company, came little bit early and fixed our bender board that was coming out of the ground. He cut the bender board from both ends and cut a new Bender board and install it. Finally air blowed the leaves. Pretty good job. Thank you, Alan for fixing our bender board.

IID did an amazing job installing pavers in my backyard. I had 7,000 square feet of pavers installed in my backyard. It was a huge job. I had several bids and decided to select IID for the job because I didn t quite trust the other contractors. Sam was my project manager and he did a great job helping me designing and selecting material. We decided to go with a special ordered pavers and it took about 2 months to make them. I also had some delayed with other works in my backyard, so It took about six months since I contacted IID until completion of the job a few weeks ago. Sam was very patience and responsive during that time. We had hundreds of emails back and forth. And when it was time to install pavers, Adrian and his team did an amazing job. It came out very nice. My backyard had an unusual shape because it s in a corner lot which made the installation a lot harder for Adrian and his team, but Adrian didn t disappointed me. I m very happy with the result. I would highly recommend IID for anyone out there that need pavers and turf installation. Sam and Adrian will do a great job for your home.

What a joy! Ron came and really listened to what we wanted, and gave us beautiful options to make our backyard dreams come true. The samples of artificial turf that he brought were beautiful, and a wide range of styles and feel, and he was very willing to give us multiple estimates, so that we can make a decision that worked for our needs and budget. I got several estimates, and you can not beat the quality and price of INSTALL-IT-DIRECT. When it came to the install Diego, was incredible. He made sure to check in at every design decision, and when our initial desires were not fitting esthetically, he came up with an even better solution and presented it, rather than pushing something through, or just doing what was supposed to work on paper. They were very efficient with the demo, through installation, and we could not be happier. I highly recommend INSTALL-IT-DIRECT!

Having worked in the service/hospitality industry for 25+ years, I know how important it is to share positive experiences on social media. My experience with Install-It-Direct was amazing! They listened and let us collaborate through the entire process. My yard was a nightmare, with drainage issues and tons of river rocks and nowhere for my 2 toddlers to play. We used these guys when we first bought the house two years ago. We installed turf and a beautiful stone block bench on one side. After living with it, and loving it, we called them back up to do the other 2/3 of the yard. Ronald came over and talked to us for about an hour, took some measurements, and quickly got us back a quote. The pricing was very fair, but I wouldn t know the actual value just yet. As San Diego went through it s annual few weeks of on and off rain the project stopped and started a couple times. The admin team was great at scheduling/rescheduling. The weekend before the project was to start I self-installed a gutter to be attached to the French drain they were doing and (of course) I didn t do a very good job. Monday arrived and Diego, Israel, Hector, and Leo looked at it and exchanged a few words, and very politely asked if I would mind if they made it a little more efficient? Basically, they fixed my horrible attempt at gutter building and saved my back yard from ever flooding again. This would be tested the following week. After finishing the turf and french drain project, I thanked the team and told them I would certainly share my experience. That weekend it rained and rained and rained some more. Bad news, the french drain trench had sunk a few inches creating a dip in the turf running from the patio to the garage. I called Ronald and he said, no problem, I ll get the guys back ASAP to fix it! . These guys rock! Diego came back and fixed it quickly and I couldn t be happier with the turf, the french drain, the service, care, and attention to detail these guys put out! Do yourself a favor and let them come give you a bid!

Thomas Jackson consulted with me to understand all the problems existing on the property. Expensive water bills, water puddling, erosion problems, and weed problem. Thomas offered up various ideas and solutions explaining all the pros and cons. Thomas has quite extensive knowledge about real estate construction and landscaping and I felt he provided many great ideas to solve all the problems. Thomas provided samples of the materials and let me know what the cost of all the options are. Never once did I feel like Thomas was trying to sell me anything, all pretty much just giving me all the options and letting me decide. Thomas provided a very competitive quote and broke out all the pieces separately so I could understand the cost. Thomas also accommodated all the custom requirements I needed to make sure all the various projects going on would fit well together. Thomas coordinated various projects and did them in a way to save as much money as possible, he is very creative and pays attention to details which is important in real estate projects. Thomas went way above and beyond what I expected which Im very happy with the product and service he provided.

Very please with Install it Direct. We capitalized on their 20% off winter special and the pricing was the same as all the other contractors we got quotes from. Even if we had to pay a premium, we would have gone with IID. Working directly with a PM makes things SO much easier and Tom was great to work with. He was always really responsive and super helpful. From inception to design and completion, Install It Direct paid attention to every detail and took the extra steps necessary to complete the project on time and within budget. This is an update to my previous review. Install It Direct just finished power washing all the paving stones they previously installed, added more joint sand where needed and put down a semi-gloss sealer. The pavers look like new again. As usual the work done was excellent and done promptly. Tim, Lidia and everyone I have dealt with at their office are so easy to work with. Special kudos to Adrian too who did the work. He takes great pride in his work and is a real pro at his craft. Install It Direct and Adrian are the best. We have used Install-It-Direct twice before. First about 5 years ago to install pavers on the driveway and walkway and front entry. Then about 3 years ago to install pavers on our patio and on the side of the house. They also installed artificial grass designed especially for dogs at the same time. Very happy with the job done both times. Great communication with Tim in the San Diego office and Will the Orange County Project manager. They make sure the job is done as promised and to your satisfaction. Their demolition and installation crews were hard working and clean and did an excellent job. And even better their pricing is great compared to other quotes I received. After receiving numerous quotes for my mini backyard project I came across Install-It-Direct. I m pleased to share my experience with the entire team was an absolute pleasure. My interactions with competitors were not so positive (some design consultants missing their agreed upon appointment time and not calling to follow up at all). Again, as mentioned it was a smaller project that likely wouldn t yield high profits for bigger companies. Ronald was very understanding and relatable and showed great patience with me and I was signing a contract the day prior to stay at home orders due to covid-19. So throughout the process of pending HOA approval and he kept in touch regularly so I had a tentative schedule to expect the work to be done. Within two months the team was on site, for the install. Site lead was Diego and the team was friendly and professional. I was fortunate enough to have shopped around and waited for the right opportunity for the right contractor and would definitely recommend Install-It-Direct for your next landscaping design project.

With the onset of the pandemic, we wanted to have a finished backyard to spend more time with family and enjoy the outdoor. Dustin was a great project mgr, from the intial quote, to actual work and follow up after completion. He was always here and making sure project was on time and completed correctly. The team that did actual installation was very good and did a great job of daily cleanup as well as at end of project. We are glad we went with this vendor and will recommend to others that want a fast install with great eye for detail and quality workmanship.

Our backyard was completed about two months ago, and I am still in awe on the job Sarul and his crew performed. After purchasing a new home, we were looking to get ~1200 sqft of hardscape, retaining wall, planter wall, electrical, and drainage installed. I reached out and received literally 15 quotes with some quotes being outrageously high and others being so low I wondered if they knew what they were doing. Luckily though, I found Shawn at IID. Shawn is very professional and extremely knowledgable about his craft. He arrived at our house a few days after I contacted IID, and spent two hours listening to what we exactly wanted and provided some amazing suggestions. After measuring, sketching, and selecting supplies, he gave us a quote right on the spot (completely awesome as I didnt have to wait 2-14 days for a quote like others). Best part, he showed us pictures and examples of every project he has managed. Thats right, we didnt just see pictures of selected jobs, but pictures of all jobs. The price was also amazing. IID will give you 20% off since they pass the savings of buying directly straight to the consumer. Believe me, their prices are best you can find with the best service and quality. You truly will receive the best bang for your buck. After finalizing the contract, Shawn helped us out with the design to send to our HOA. IID check in on us every few weeks to see if we received approval, and once we did, they immediately started the job. We then had a walk through with Shawn and Sarul (crew manager) to go over the job, and Sarul had a few suggestions as well, which again, were awesome!. Sarul and his crew were amazing what they did as well. Sarul made himself available all of the time and promptly answered any questions. His crew was also very respectful to our house and property, and they cleaned up each and every day. I couldnt be happier. They were able to complete the entire job after 10 days. A few weeks later we noticed some small things (i.e. one small crack paver and one wall cap not glued), BUT after contacting Shawn, Sarul and his crew immediately came over in two days and resolved it (unbelievable service). We receive compliments all of the time, and are still in awe with how our backyard turned out. We werent planning on doing any more hardscape after this job, but now we are planning a second project in the next 1-2 years and will be reaching out to Shawn to complete it. Thank you everyone at install-it-direct for everything!!! We really appreciate it!!! 2020 Review: We asked IID to perform a second job for us on the side of the house and requested Saul and his team. To continue our curves in the paver hardscape from the first job, we asked them to curve the pavers around each flower bed in front of each window. We knew this wasnt an easy asked since the flower beds were very close to each other. Amazingly, the job was unbelievable and completely surpassed our expectations. We receive comments all of the time about the amazing work. The price was great as well. I was extremely happy the first time and extremely happy the second time with IID. After looking for their Mirimar Rd location which advertises that it is open, i can t find this company. Turns out after wasting an hour, they are not open. They are located on the third floor in the pyramid building but you can t get there . The building isn t open to the public. Obviously they need to get a teenager to update their goigle info. What a waste of time. Its not a showroom either. I had an order to place today and no out of time. Luckily this business has competition

I am super impressed with Install-It-Direct. My consultant, Ron gave me a ton of options to choose from and shared with me addresses of installations so I can go and see what the grass actually looked like after being installed which was very helpful. Ron gave me options that would be perfect for my dogs and the heavy traffic in my backyard from having family get togethers. The process of installing the grass went smoothly and was done in two days! (My yard is around 900 sqft). The installation workers were very friendly and professional. I felt comfortable letting them do their thing while I worked from home. The grass I had installed was Desert Rye 65oz. Apparently its very popular, because it keeps selling out. The grass looks incredibly real and is soft on the feet and the dogs love it! When I showed pictures with friends and family they asked if I had sod or artificial grass installed...thats how authentic this grass looks! I will definitely be recommending Install-It-Direct.

Had a great experience. Elio was really helpful and way ahead the competitors I met with. Introduction, appearance, backyard design and no hidden fees - this what makes me pick IIT! Definitely worth the money. My yard looks amazing. They were able to start the project as soon as the weather is good and completed in a week. Update 10-2020: Year after the installation. The pavers are still looking great! The turf unfortunately was shedding and IID was able to address this issue without any questions. We tried first to use a rake to clean the fiber but it appears to always come back again. IDD agreed to provide warranty repair free of change and replace the turf in 1 day. It took a little bit of a time due to busy summer timing, but everything was done and we are happy with the new turf. Thanks again for the quality service IID!

Update 12/21/2020: The business owner, Tim Thomas, followed up with me once this review was posted and issued a return of our deposit funds. The check arrived promptly and has now cleared the bank. Our HOA is no longer out funds due to this situation. Modifying this to a 3-star review. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Buyer beware! This company defrauded our HOA! We solicited proposals from 3 companies for installation of synthetic turf in a front landscape. Steve Brown, Install-it-Direct representative, visited the property and met with our Board Member for at least an hour and a half, viewing the property and location of the installation prior to providing a proposal. His proposal came in the lowest and they were hired for the job. Install-it-Direct requested a deposit of 10% of the contract price, but refused to provide an invoice for the deposit prior to payment. They informed us that they would send the invoice AFTER payment was made. The invoice is required to maintain proper corporate books. They informed us that they could not schedule our project until deposit was paid. We reluctantly paid the deposit and did not receive an invoice or receipt afterward until specifically requested multiple times. Scheduling was a whole other nightmare. We were informed that someone else would reach out to us to schedule the job. It took over 2 weeks to get the job scheduled. From there, it was a 2 month wait to have the job actually done. On installation day, materials were delivered curbside and all was ready, when I received a call from Steve letting me know that his installation crew was unable to perform the job for the contracted price due to the landscape being on a slope. Steve informed us that the crew would need to hand-compact the base rather than use machinery, and this would increase the labor cost by $3,000...on a job that was bid at $7,800 total! This suddenly brought the price above all other quotes we received. Steve mentioned that we needed to make a decision very quickly since the materials were at the curb and if anything were to be stolen, we would be responsible for the cost! Unbelievable! Decisions like this for an HOA cannot be made on a whim, as we are bound by law to have a public meeting for the Board. I explained to Steve that we had a contracted agreement for the work to be done and that they should honor the price they quoted. Since he had clearly seen the property before bidding, I asked him how the slope of the property suddenly increased the cost so dramatically. He informed me that he did not have the installer view the property prior to creating the bid, but instead created the bid based off a similar job with similar topography. This whole experience has felt like a bait and switch, not to mention a huge waste of months of our time waiting for the job that never happened! The Board opted not to move forward with the job and we requested return of our deposit funds. Steve let us know that accounting would be returning our deposit within a couple of weeks. He was deeply concerned that we would leave a bad review for the company based on our experience. I informed him that we would part ways without prejudice if the deposit was returned by November 30, 2020. Today is December 12, 2020. It has been 45 days since we requested return of our deposit and we still have not received our $765. The company unilaterally cancelled our contract, and is holding our deposit hostage. Attempts to call the company for deposit return have been futile. Again...buyer beware! I see a large number of satisfied customers on here, but our experience has been far from satisfactory.

Install-It-Direct did an amazing job. They removed our old concrete patio, installed proper drainage, pavers, artificial turf, and a pergola (covered and with slats). We worked with Emily who oversaw our whole project, from consultation all the way to completion. She was excited about helping with us from the first meeting. The initial consultation took a few hours, to go over everything and do measurements. She came back a day or so later with visuals and computer renderings to help us see what she was talking about. We looked at other companies and smaller vendors, and it either took too long to get ideas, quotes, or any information about these types of projects. Saul oversaw the construction with his crew. They worked very hard and were very professional. Their work is great! During the construction process, Emily was still very hands on and came by almost everyday to check on progress. One thing that I think would help, would be for either the company to go around to the neighbors and inform them of the upcoming work, or provide a flyer to the neighbors with information about what the neighborhood can expect during construction with contact numbers on it. We live on a cul de sac and they do have big trucks and a lot of equipment coming and going. I knew it was going to be major work, but never having done it before I did not know the scope. Five-day miracle! Our 500+ sq. ft. courtyard transformation. INSTALL-IT-DIRECT just finished up my backyard landscaping project. It consisted of removing existing deck, concrete & lot of dirt, leveling it nicely and putting pavers from the front door and in entire backyard. We had such a great experience with Install It Direct and our project manager Emily for our backyard renovation project. We needed a retaining wall about 100ft long built behind our house. We also wanted to upgrade our driveway to pavers from the old concrete driveway that had cracks everywhere. We had bids from four different professionals. Dustin from Install It Direct was by far the best in terms of details for the bid, communication, and timing for start of project. Their quote was average. But we felt at ease knowing we where in good hands. The project went on schedule despite rainy day interruptions. Everything was done to our liking. We really appreciated the responsiveness. Also, the follow up from Ron was great. We were so happy with the outcome, we referred our neighbor who also had Install It complete some major work at their house.

I would definitely recommend Install IT direct. This is the most professional company I have ever worked with. They were constantly communicating with me. I felt like every question or concern was answered immediately, which was very important as I decided to do my backyard project at 9 months pregnant. I really appreciated that they moved their schedule around to accommodate me and were able to complete everything before my baby arrived. Steve was in charge of the project and he was constantly in touch via text, phone calls, and email. My wife and I bought a new home and trust me I did my research with landscaping companies. I received 4-5 quotes in regards towards our landscaping; both very low to very high. When I met Brandon from Install-it-Direct. I knew not only found a good company but a great person to help design, implement, and follow up once complete. What truly impressed about Brandon is he took time to educate me on the different options, had many samples sent to our home, and I could tell he cared more about providing great service than about increasing profits. There quote was in the middle of all the quotes we received but I knew we were going to get the best work for money spent. He provided advice on all different options and gave us the best tips for use of our money with our landscaping, instead of just trying to add items to jack price/profit. If you are getting any type of landscaping completed I would highly recommend Brandon and Install-it-Direct. We all have to spend money if you want this type of work done but with his team there is more value placed ensuring the customer is satisfied than increasing their bottom line. We all work hard for our money and I value those like Brandin who dont try and take advantage of my hard-earned money. Plus they are true professionals, I did get quotes for cheaper but I could tell those types of contractors would inevidebly cost me more money in the long run because the job wouldnt be done right int he first place. My advice is stick with the professionals like Brandon and his team you will be more pleased in the long run. Its not to often that you meet a contractor that truly cares about providing great service and treats as a friend more than just a customer. We ve had two jobs done by Install-It-Direct. The first was artificial turf in our gopher and ant ridden back yard. Brandon Borrego came out, took all the measurements, gave us a great quote and sent an awesome and professional team. The work was finished on time and we ve had no gophers since and virtually no ants. A year later we had them put down pavers in the side yard (where the gophers and ants still made their home). Again Brandon came out to help us with the design and again sent a very professional team to complete the job. Ow there are no gophers nor ant hills on the property...I feel bad for forcing their migration to our neighbors. Not really! This company will always be my first choice!

We had Shawn come out to our house to give us a quote on our front yard a few months ago. We envisioned something that we wanted, but Shawn gave us some really good suggestions and we ended up going with his design. We dont regret it at all because it looks amazing. Our project manager Will T. Who runs Orange County area seems to be about as green as the artificial turf that was installed. We were told one week by him and week #6 is here. We had plans to have family over for Mother s Day, Memorial Day and our kids last day of school. We could not enjoy our outdoor space as promised and Job still not completed... Scope of work was Pavers, turf, fire pit and stacked stone veneer on vertical walls. These crews worked from 9am to 1pm. Will the so called project manager couldn t show up daily to give direction like he s supposed to. I m a contractor myself and this is unexceptionable. Veneer stacked stone has big gaps, damaged spots and is not level.. this is Tile 101! It s not rocket science. Artificial turf has balled spots, turf missing in a couple spots, loose ends not fastened down and fill wasn t spread properly. Pavers not level and workers never cleaned up space after daily duties along with materials and trash still sitting in our front yard. HOA and neighbors really love that.. Be careful this company hires all subcontractors and they are not up to par and not managed correctly. Hard to hold a worker responsible when they are not on Install Directs Payroll. Quality is just not there. But were quick to collect that check.. Update: Material was short and he tried to sneak in some old used concrete coping for fire pit which was short and had to order the right coping on week 4. We are very unhappy. And office doesn t seem to care.

I just bought my first home in San Diego within the last year and was excited to have a backyard where I could relax, entertain and garden. I m definitely glad I chose Install-It-Direct to turn my vision into a reality. I worked with James Wilson as my Senior Design Consultant/Project Manager and he did a wonderful job of creating a design that was attractive and followed my vision. Last year we had turf installed along with tree rings and a bordering wall, Wilber and crew did a great job, Brittney, our designer and contact was awesome. There were some needed touch ups that were a bit delayed but Brittney and Tim (the owner) followed up directly to ensure the work was completed properly. The office manager/scheduler Lidia was on top of everything throughout the job and after. Were really happy how it turned out. Fast forward to last month- we have three very active greyhounds that love to run on the turf. After a year it was becoming worn down in certain areas so I contacted Brittney about having it powerswept to clean up tree debris (theyre now gone) and have additional infill put down in an attempt to renew the turf. Alan came out and worked really hard to clean the debris (excellent) which was successful but the turf unfortunately didnt bounce back the way we had hoped. These guys realized that the job was not up to expectations and didnt charge us for materials or labor, nada. They stand behind their work, are responsive and take pride in what they do. Emily and her crew just transformed my daughter and son-in-laws front and back yard with pavers, turf, and lighting. From start to finish, Emily was there. Her design suggestions were perfect, she kept us informed every step of the way. The job was completed in the time stated and the finished product is amazing!!

We had a good experience with James. We had paver stones installed in our front driveway, front walkway, courtyard, one side of the house and backyard. We also installed a sitting wall that came out nice too. There was a lot of concrete that had to be demo ed and in fact there was two large piles that took up the driveway at least 5 feet high. We also installed 4 inch drainage system that went all around the house tied into floor drains and our gutter systems. We added a about a foot of filler to level out the backyard and the pavers were set on concrete, geotextile fabric, and leveling sand. Lights were added, polymeric sand was used for the grout and the pavers were sealed to prevent staining. We had two bob cat excavators on our lot for 2 weeks and up to 10 workers working on our house at a time. The project was done in just over 2 weeks and the finished product looked great. I can fully recommend install it direct for professionalism, honesty, quality work and efficiency. Thank you install it direct and to James and his crew.

Awesome work by Alan and the entire team! We had a unique situation arise where we needed access to our septic tank after installation of our turf. My experience was wonderful and a little different than the others quoted here. Eleven years ago we had a big named company install a paver driveway, walkway and front porch. Tim Thomas, a co-owner of Install It Direct, worked as a sales manager for that company at the time. He worked with us and we signed with the company he was working for at the time. Our walkway started to sink this year and I inadvertently called Tim by mistake. He had written his cell phone number on the business card in case there was a problem with the original installation. I told him what was happening and he suggested I call System Pavers, the company who had done the original installation and see if they would repair it under warranty. If not, he asked me to call him back and let him know. I called System Pavers and after the 2nd call someone finally came out. It was not under warranty any longer. I was told that someone would come by that day or the next and give me an estimate to repair the walkway. That was almost two weeks ago and no one has called or showed up. I called Tim back and he came out and took a look. He offered to fix it for almost nothing. Today, Allen, from Install It Direct, came out and fix the walkway. It is perfect. This review is twofold......Tim Thomas is a person that I would want to do business with anytime. He is a person with integrity and genuinely cares about the people he does business with...even when he was working for another company. The other company, System Pavers, could care less about their customers. There are a thousand companies out there who do the same work, but standing behind their work and have integrity is a must. Wow! Cant believe how beautiful my courtyard looks after a complete remodel by Install-It-Direct. I watched IID install artificial turf at my neighbors house next door almost nine months ago, so I observed before I signed a contract. Very respectful and professional team. They were quick and kept the work area very neat. My neighbor was still super satisfied more than six months after her project, so I was convinced this was the company for me. What a wonderful experience working with IID. As the design was predominately in my head, with the intention of bringing our 30 year old house into the current century, and having spent my working career in the construction industry, I paid close attention to the response of all IDD people. Will Trower met with my wife and I to review the many options available to us, and price was one of them, to the work of the install team of Adrian Reyes and his brothers, the experience was fantastic. Will had the material pallets delivered, and Adrian took over to bring the design from my head to completion. Attention to detail is Adrian s specialty after his mastery with masonry materials. I don t think he has ever seen a square paver that he could not curve to perfection in completing the project. A true artist and master. And the grass looks great! If you seriously want a good project, good price, and dedicated team, give IID at call.

James came out and estimated the job, interpreted my notebook sketch and gave me a very reasonable estimate. Two weeks later, my driveway was finished. The crew was clean, respectful and delivered exactly what I asked James for. One of the best home improvement projects Ive ever had done in my 20 years of home ownership. We had a blank canvas (all dirt and weeds) for our back yard when we first moved in and we needed some one to help us put our loose thoughts into a plan that would give us a useable and beautiful back yard. I needed to have my front yard totally landscaped and after meeting with a few contractors I choose to go with Installed- It -Direct. I usually go with my gut feeling after talking with contractors. After talking with Dustin I knew this was the person I wanted to help me. He was very professional & answered all my questions. It was also important for me to know he was listening to me. He had in mind the pavers to use which was the right choice. Because I didn t want mulch for the flowers area he came up with another suggestion. Again, it was a good choice. He also went out of his way to find the right artificial turf I wanted and found it. Dustin & Saul crew were here Tuesday morning to start. They had a bob cat to excavate the concrete to the front door. Saul & crew completed this task without any markings on the walls which I was expecting from such a big machine. Good job! I had replaced embankment with large rocks, different kind & color of smaller rock in garden, artificial turf, small river rock & pavers around turf, replaced pavers to the front door with border & added a small wall in front of the sidewalk. Before leaving each day they did a clean up. The expected completion was 1.5 weeks, but finished in 4 business days. I couldn t believe it. Everyone worked so hard to complete the project & even took time to answer more questions. I can t say enough about Dustin, Saul & Crew except I was very comfortable with them all. Steve was professional and was always available to answer any questions we had. He was courteous and receptive to any last minute requests or changes to the work order. The crew was respectful and professional throughout the project duration. The project was a little over budget but very much worth the additional cost.

After interviewing several pavers companies, I chose Install-it-direct, as Ron understood my needs and concerns for my long and quirky driveway. What I also liked was the no pressure sale approach, as well as the right of the bat offer of a 6 inch road base. The other companies would quote a bit lower or same but undercut it with a 4 inch road base, which was not strong enough for a driveway. Ron was always available daily till the job was done. The crew worked very hard and, and when adjustments had to be done, willingly n expertly, made the changes. My neighbors were impressed n commented to me how hard the crew worked. If you are reading this review, you are where I was six months ago, trying to decide what paver company to go with a huge project. I want to say thank you Lydia construction manager, thank you James overall in charge of the crew, Sebastian and his crew Nicholas and others, who did an extraordinary job installing my paver. I started back in March reviewing local paver companies in San Diego area. I was drawn to install it direct website because of the tools they have to give me an idea of what Pavers, labor cost for materials, hauling, dumping etc. would cost. No other paver company had a website like Install It Direct. This gave me somewhat a peace of mind to have at least an idea of what my project would cost. I called Install Direct and made an appointment and James came and we sit down and I told him exactly what I wanted he listen and there was no pressure whatsoever. Three visits later we signed a contract. For the money that I spent for this project is definitely money well spent. I also had a pool removed doing this project with a different contractor, and they work very well close together. The reason I chose Install It Direct was simply because of their website first and reviews. The visit by James where myself and my wife sit down and he explained everything step by step was time well spent. This was back in March 2019 and I chose to delay the project until August because I knew during that time that would be no rain, that way there would be no interruptions or delays doing the installation. Everything worked out perfectly day by day and absolutely no rain. James told me at the beginning that his crew of Sebastian and Nicholas they are the best crew that we are getting. They showed up at 7:30 in the morning and started to work at eight and they finish at 4 PM cleaning up every day after it. The one thing that I did to show my gratitude in the hard work that they were doing, I provided water and I even bought lunch on several occasions. That was totally my choice and they appreciated that very much. Today I look at all the work completed, a new driveway, complete removal and installation of a new retainer wall and a large area patio. It is spectacular. We are extremely happy with the results. We live in a condo and have a small yard. My husband was so tired of trying to keep the grass green and wanted to find an alternative solution. Worked with Ron Dombroski to redo the front yard that had been overdue for years. The land was uneven, there were really questionable work from the previous owners that seemed to have accumulated into a mess. Install-it-Direct was very friendly and worked with me to get the front yard into a simplistic design that fit my budget. The best part about this project was the relationship and conversations I had with Ron. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of and he made sure that design was good and worked with me to creatively save costs where it made sense. They are extremely professional and friendly. The most impressive thing about what they do comes all the way down to the quote. It is one of the best things I have ever seen and gave me confidence that this is a solid company to do great work. On project day - the crew did a phenomenal job. The leveled everything - demod some concrete and cleared out a lot of debris and junk. They even finished one day earlier than predicted. Excellent customer service, efficient, and quality work! That is how I would describe Install-It-Direct. I had 5 quotes from different contractors to do my back yard upgrades. However, when I met with Emily she continued to do the follow up calls and was always available to meet. Emily, came out to the house and presented how the work would be done and in a very short amount of time. I always felt that she cared about the whole process and knowing she was here to supervise was a relief to me while I was at work. In fact, she would text me photos to show the improvements which I never had anyone do before and enjoyed so I could stay engaged with the process. I had artificial turf in the front and back yard, flagstone extended patio and wall, and a new pergola with electrical work. It is with pleasure that I write this review about Install it Direct. This was our first time ever creating a back and front yard hardscape. We interviewed several companies and were most impressed by Dustin Schmitt. Dustin has a Bachelors in landscape architecture. By comparison, the other companies Senior Landscape Design Consultants have taken a few classes in landscape design. Dustin is extremely knowledgeable and takes great pride in creating a hardscape plan that is unique and perfect for you. He designed a water fountain with seating around it which allows us to dip our feet into the water. The fountain looks amazing. Dustin is also very patient which we appreciated since this was a new learning experience for us. His drawing was very detailed so we passed HOA approval without a problem. Dustin kept in touch with us and his crew throughout the whole process. The project manager, Andy, was wonderful. He and his crew were very polite, efficient and hard working. They were very detailed oriented and artistic in cutting and laying the stone and pavers. We have gotten so many compliments on our back and front yard. We were very pleased with our experience and hope your experience will be the same.

By far, the best home improvement crew we have ever hired! From day one, we knew this is the company we wanted to complete the paver install in our front walkway and along our driveway. Emily was extremely knowledgeable about the process and designed a beautiful entrance for our house (which had been an eye sore for years). She even wrote a letter to our HOA to help gain their approval. Brilliant! Margarito and his crew were friendly, hard-working, and cleaned up each night before they left. Project Manager Steve Brown came over and listened to our wants and wishes and he came up with a plan and a price that we felt comfortable with. The very professional installation crew led by Saul started a few weeks later and completed the work in a timely manner despite some rain delays. Sauls crew showed up on time everyday and always cleaned up the work area prior to leaving the job site which was very much appreciated! They installed 1500 sq ft of pavers and 190 sq ft of pet turf with great attention to detail. We asked for small paver walls to be built up around our existing patio deck flush with the deck boards and they did this to absolute perfection! Thank you so much Saul and crew! Meanwhile Steve as our project manager handled all of the material delivery schedules and kept us in the communication loop at all times. Steve also came up with suggestions and solutions that helped us stay on budget. Thank you Steve! All in all it was a pleasure to work with Install-It-Direct and I highly recommend them.

Install It Direct just finished installing pavers and turf in my backyard and completely transformed it. From the start of the process Emily listened to my ideas, made sound and reasonable recommendations and worked with me to design and create an amazing new space. She is very knowledgeable on hardscape and went to great strides to make sure we were thrilled with the outcome. Im very happy with the entire project and overall outcome of my back patio. Kyle was professional and followed thru and everything we discussed during the planning stage. Rodolfo (foreman) and his team did an excellent job demoing, flattening and paving. They were on time everyday, worked hard and ensured no corners were cut at any step of the way. I live in a community with a very strict HOA. This process wouldve been a huge headache if Kyle, Rodolpho and his team werent so professional and efficient.

Install it direct did our front yard/back yard in mt helix, san diego in last 2 weeks. New turf, 7 hole putting green, cement tiles/rock patio area, DG trim. They came highly referred by a friend of mine. Not only did we get professional service, but the lead artist/landscaper, Wilber was 2nd to none in his quality work, service, personality, and even suggestions to us. My entire backyard is a pool and pool deck. The pool deck was concrete with slate ribbons and was in bad shape the concrete was buckling and pitted. Will Thrower and his crew were on time, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, responsive, timely, competent with a strong desire to please. The crew always had someone on hand to answer any questions. They were helpful and mindful of maintaining good neighbor relations by minimizing noise, maintaining a work schedule compatible with the neighborhood, and keeping a neat, clean, organized work space. We just had our paver driveway completed by Install It Direct and are so pleased with the finished product - it s beautiful! What a difference over the standard boring concrete drive! The crew was professional and polite and very careful while working around our newly landscaped yard. Emily, our designer/project manager was outstanding! We were having a hard time finding a stone color we liked and she went out of her way to bring us lots of sample pavers so we could really get a feel for what would look best with our existing land/hardscape. She was always available for questions and/or concerns and made sure we were happy throughout the whole process. We highly recommend Install It Direct. We had received 5 quotes for our backyard. Will Thrower, from Install-it-direct, was refreshingly honest, no bs, tells it exactly as it is. No wondering if were on the same page & that was the primary reason for choosing this company. Weve had home improvements done before. Weve had the promises, cancellations, inferior products. Will was able to begin the process much earlier than originally quoted for, which was a Godsend for us since I run a doggy day care/boarding from my home and was expecting 2 more dogs to board in addition to our own 2 dogs. What was I going to do with 4 dogs and the back yard in ruins? Will came to the rescue! Demo day went a lot faster than anticipated. The job was slated for 5 days, however, it ended up being 3 days! Woo-Hoo! We now have a beautiful backyard with pavers and grass again. I would definitely recommend Install-It-Direct for those considering any paver work, artificial grass (although we opted for real grass because of our dogs - there was no pressure to go with artificial, unlike previous quotes from contractors), built ins, etc. Weve done enough for this years budget, but well definitely be going back to IID for more work thatll include a built in seating area and BBQ area. 1st photo is the before. Will helped me with my product selection and design plans. He was available when I had follow up questions and worked with me on my budget. His crew showed up on time and did a great job. They completed my project within the expected time frame and I cant speak more highly of them. I would definitely recommend Will and his crew for any future projects. It should be noted that prior to fining IIT, I was ready to proceed with System Pavers. Please heed my warning and DO NOT WORK WITH SYSTEM PAVERS. IIT performed the work for about 15% cheaper and offered the same, if not better, level of service. I am glad that I decided to work with IIT over SP.

We hired Install It Direct to complete our massive backyard remodel and we are nothing but impressed. On our first consultation with Will Thrower we werent really ready to sign on the dotted line but just performing our due diligence. We had them do 900 SQ Feet of our backyard , although I am supper happy with in-install over all. the follow up is not good at all. We had ours in-stalled on Aug 13th 2018.... There were a few things we had concerns about, (nothing we were to upset about) the installer came out 2 days after install and talked with my husband and said he would come back and deal with the issue. He never came back. The so called Project manager had Dental issue the day of our install and was here this first hour got the check and left. Mind you we went with them because she said she would be here the whole day and manage the job. I understand she had a dental issue. She later called me and told me she was sorry and she was going to bring me the bottle of turf cleaner she promised when we signed the contact and a bottle of wine for my trouble. I have never heard from her again either. Also they use Sub-Contractors to do the work.

First impression is the key. Brandon with Install-It-Direct, showed up first thing Saturday morning, punctual, professional and with all of his equipment to do an estimate right there on site. After receiving 4 additional estimates from other companies, we opted for Install-It-Direct. Brandon and his crew, Tino/Francisco finished a 1500sf job in just 9 days. Technically speaking they finished in 5 days but it took 4 additional days to do the borders. There were quite a bit of cutting for the curve lines.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Emily Ayala of Install it Direct. After weeks of meeting with potential contractors, we met with Emily from 5-7:30 on a Thursday evening. By 6:30 the next morning we had paver samples on our driveway, a quote and a drawing. Impressive! Emily s friendly, informed and proactive style not to mention great pricing made selecting Install it Direct an easy decision. Where other companies had told us we couldn t have the design we wanted, Emily and her professional crews made it happen. Their work was done quickly yet perfectly and we absolutely love our patio, patio cover and walkways! We look forward to a future project together.

We needed to replace the old cracked flagstone and concrete patio and decide to go with pavers through Install-It-Direct. Our project manager was Will Thrower. It was a small space, but there were plenty of issues to deal with and Will did a fabulous job. The location was tight, and access difficult but the old tree roots, irrigation and concrete were removed without any damage to the walls and house. The new space looks wonderful and all the drainage issues resolved. We would not hesitate to use Install-it-direct again.

In preparation for putting in a patio, side walkway, and widening the driveway(all with pavers) we researched many companies and poured over the reviews. We obviously made the right choice because we are very pleased with the quality of work and thrilled with the final product. Crew Fernando H was always on time, friendly, professional, courteous and our toddler enjoyed every second of watching them work. Emily stayed on top of everything, gave regular updates, and delivered what she promised. We highly recommend!

The one star is for the subcontractor they hired to do the paver. From the beginning all the appointments with the so-called project manager were cancelled/rescheduled due to excuses from traffic, unexpected out of town relatives visiting, and sickness. Since we liked her design, we patiently worked with her. It took about two months from when she came to discuss the project and do the measurements of our yard in July 2018 to when we finally saw the 3D design and signed the contract at IID office in September 2018. The job stared on November 26. The PM said she d be at our property everyday, but the fact is the crew foreman only saw her twice during the 10 working days. She promised me the foreman, herself and I would have a walkthrough after the yard was done. That didn t happen. We discovered two dented pavers after the sloppy sealer job was done and contacted the PM. They promised to reseal the paver and seating walls after the flawed pavers were replaced and the blotted pavers caused by the poor sealer job were cleaned. The PM assured me that was done, but we saw loose joint sand on the paver indicating the paver was not sealed. I texted her what we found out and told her I am tired of dealing with IDD. Then I got a call from the owner, who supposedly came to reseal the paver, saying he did some touch ups. It s a stretch to call touch ups resealing. This just happened yesterday. Yes, it s 2019 and I am still dealing with IID. Also the porta potty was left on our driveway for almost a week after the crew was done and the delivery pallets and bag for materials were left there for almost two weeks. They were removed after I showed my concern to the PM many times then to the customer relationships rep. The PM mentioned a few times she d buy me a small gift for being patient with her and would send me all the before and after photos she took. I bet I d never hear from her like the other reviewer.

We quoted about 10-15 contractors for our backyard retaining wall and turf installation project. 1/3 or them didnt return our calls, 1/3 of them gave outrageous bids, and 1/3 told us they dont want a project so small. Alfredo and his crew was very professional, friendly and on time. Trying to find a good contractor for a small project is extremely hard in San Diego, I dont know why. But these guys went above and beyond to meet our needs and were very prompt in every aspect. The job turned out impeccable, cant recommend these guys enough.

I have been looking for professional synthetic turf contractor to convert our messy grass area to synthetic turf, and installitdirect (IID) caught my eyes because of good customers reviews. After I sent a request for quote, I got the contact from IID same day, and I made an appointment with Dustin Schmitt, Design Consultant. Dustin brought variety of samples and explained to us each type s purpose and need. We were looking for durability and natural look, and Dustin suggested few products and we pick from one of them. After Dustin measured the area and inspected the site, he provided us the brake down quote for each step of work. With reasonable estimate with his professional approach of the project, I decided to contract with IID. I can pick the installation date the day I wanted without any problem, and his crew showed up on time with many different equipment (I was very impressed with variety of equipment). I watched all day to see the installation, and his crew was very efficient and knows the installation very well. Since my yard has many curvy shapes, I was concerned about the detail finish, but they handled well. After installation, our family was very happy with final product and the kind crew members. I will definitely recommend IID to my family and friends.

I hired Install It Direct to do my back yard driveway and patio in Carlsbad which was about 2,600 square feet. Not only were they price competitive, but the service was outstanding and the result was excellent. What impressed me the most was the positive attitude, work ethic, and skill that the installation team had. I worked closely with them and had lots of questions of the installers as well as some additional things I wanted them to do, and never did they say they could not do what I wanted, but always figured out a way to do it. If I ran in to any issues or questions my rep Shawn Higgins was always quick to return my call if I had to leave a voice mail, but he would answer most of the time and was always professional. Installation Foreman Chevo is a soft spoken, get it done kind of guy, and his team went above and beyond what they were paid to do when I was in a time crunch and asked them for help with some hard work I needed to do to clean up my side of the job which was loading some dirt and gravel and a few other things. All the workers were great, but especially Victor, Wances, and Fernando were so personable and worked so hard to make my place look good that I feel like they are my friends now, There were other great guys who worked on my job but those are the names I remember. Im so glad I chose them and I would highly recommend this company and will use them again if I have another job.

Our overall experience with Install-It-Direct was well beyond my expectations. After getting quotes from several companies and it was immediately clear that Install-It-Direct was the obvious choice! Justin was very friendly and easy to work with. They have one style of turf that is surprisingly comfortable and the quote Justin provided was substantially (>20%) lower than quotes from other companies. With the money that we saved on the turf cost/installation we were able to put in extra bender board throughout our backyard. Additionally Justin pulled some strings to help us with our flagstone path installation! Saul s team did a beautiful job with everything they truly transformed our backyard into a space that we now love to hang out in. Id have to say that my experience with Install-It-Direct was about as good as it gets. From the very beginning with the initial consultation to the scheduling of the demo, to the installation, and to the final touches only took about 2 weeks. I have a small yard that needed some serious work to make it kid friendly as well as a place that we would like to spend our time. Dustin Schmitt and the entire crew knocked it out of the park. They turned my concept into a reality. The first day I spoke with Dustin I gave him an idea of what I was looking for. I could tell right away that he knew where I wanted to go. He was able to run with it and create a drawing that outlined everything we asked for. It was fantastic to be able to see on paper what our yard was about to become. During this process my wife and I decided to purchase a play structure for our 2 kids. Due to the limited space all dimensions had to be right on. As it turned out the structure fits perfectly, giving my children a great place to play, as well as leaving us a great area to entertain. Install-it-Direct just finished my paver porch and we are so happy with the final result! The pavers are beautiful and have made a dramatic difference in our back yard. This porch became a reality for us through Tim Thomas and his paver crew. Our initial meeting with Tim was very open and informative. I relied heavily on Tim s experience and knowledge of pavers. I did not have a specific color or design picked out and was happy when he made suggestions and completed a design for us during our first meeting. We also had this weird concrete wall that we share with our neighbor. The wall was ugly and in bad shape and we asked for Tim s help with that and he made another great suggestion. After our initial consultation I don t think Tim was even out of the driveway before we decided to go with Install-it-Direct. Our project started on schedule and was completed in the estimated time we had been given! This is one thing that pleasantly surprised me since house projects (specifically mine) have never worked that way. The paver crew was great! They were friendly and courteous and helped me with some decisions on the design of the pavers and that side wall that we wanted to fix up. At the end of the project they cleaned up the work area and the yard. They did a great job! Everything looks so much better than before. I appreciate that Tim came by to check in with me the day the project started to make sure everything with was going ok. He stopped by another time and we also talked on the phone. At the end of the project he came and did a final walk through with me and answered all of my questions. This was a great experience and we couldn t be happier with our new backyard.

Shawn designed and Herman laid out an aesthetically pleasing paver patio in my backyard. The work started on time and progressed quickly. The crew cleaned up after themselves. There were no hidden costs. We are pleased with the result.

My wife and I decided that we needed to do a major remodel of our back yard and driveway area. We contacted five different vendors to do the work that we wanted done which included: 1) Replace entire driveway with pavers 2) Demo entire back yard (grass, stone work, brick patio, etc) and replace with pavers and artificial turf. 3) Install extensive drainage system (our property does not drain properly) which included connecting directly into the Citys stormwater system (required a permit from City of SD) The ONLY company that was professional during the quote process was Install-it-Direct. Ron came out, drew up plans on the spot, and developed a pricing model which was better than the rest. The other guys that came out seemed hesitant to give us a written quote, and one actually suggested we NOT get a permit from the City as theyll never know...Yeah, and with a fine potential of $10K a day, we skipped that guy! Overall, I thought Install-it-Direct did a great job. Mind you, when you work with contractors, you do have to keep on top of them no matter who they are. But any issues we had were minor and Install-it-Direct fixed all of our issues without complaint. I think they could have done a better job cleaning up our area when they were done (pavers = LOTS of dust). Overall, I would highly recommend Install-it-Direct. Very responsive, and did great work.

When we finally decided to remove our old concrete patio and put in pavers we said, How do we find a good company to do it? So we went to the internet and researched lots of companies and read lots of commentaries given by ordinary people. We called three of the companies to come out and give us a bid. Install-It-Direct stood out from the other two. They were very personable and spent quite a bit of time looking at our yard and listening to what we wanted. They made suggestions that were creative and necessary for yard drainage. The work crew was on time every day and worked very hard to get the job done earlier than estimated. Our patio is beautiful and worth every penny.

We got tired of looking at our ugly/cracked driveway; so we called 3 local contractors for estimates on installing concrete pavers. These folks were not the cheapest, but were very competitively priced. They provided detailed, factual information, and made constructive suggestions without pressuring us. They performed the job on schedule, kept us informed throughout the process. Most importantly, these people know how to install pavers in a PROFESSIONAL MANNER. Their work is top-notch. I am a do-it-your-self -er; and am very particular. But, I recommend Install-It-Direct wholeheartedly. We choose Install It Direct over several other paving stone installers. We were doing a major renovation of our home and had several challenges with vendors we had contracted for the addition to our home as well as the interior renovations. He was wonderful to work with. Our initial visitation was almost a year before we broke ground and we had several visits after that to work on design and scope changes. The project consisted of a front wrap around driveway, front entrance, a side drive, back yard patio and pool deck. It was a little over 5,000 square feet with a large part of it being our front yard. With the use of pattern changes and a beautiful border the pavers are very inviting and have become extension of our home. Install It Direct was not the lowest estimate we had received but after doing our research and speaking with and seeing several of their clients it was an easy decision to make. Ron Dombroski visited our home every day to check in with us and the istallation crew. The crew was on time every day and worked very clean and effeciently. They respected our home and even added to Rons artistic vision with a great paver inlay for our front porch. The one thing we noticed was the sense of pride and work ethic everyone had. I had been doing a lot of research on companies who install pavers, and after reading all of the great reviews Install-It-Direct was receiving, I decided to fill out their online estimate form. The next day, I received a call from Tim, the owner of the company. He came across as a straight shooter, and didnt try to sell me on the phone. He explained in detail his background in construction, and was very upfront about the potential cost of the job I wanted to have done. He then told me hed have his North County guy, Bruce, get in touch with me, so we could setup a walkthrough. Bruce came by the next day, and seeing as how I wasnt exactly sure what I wanted to have done, he drafted up a few different scenarios, so he could get me the different pricing options for each job. The very next morning, he sent me a layout of each scenario, and the cost for each job. Because the pricing was so reasonable, I decided to go with the biggest job, and with that, the project began only a few days later. On a side note, Bruce was great to work with. I continually had questions pop into my head, so I was constantly e-mailing him, and he always got back to me incredibly fast (even over the weekend). When my project began, the crew showed up on time, and began working immediately. Ron, the project supervisor, came the first day to make sure the crew knew exactly what needed to be done, and he even threw out a few suggestions that I liked, and wound up going with. The crew worked hard, and they were usually working for 10 - 11 hours each day. After only four days, the job was completed. Ron came back the last day, and did a final walkthrough. Everything looked great! Im sure this isnt their typical procedure, and based on my contract I should have paid a portion upfront, but I ended up not having to pay a cent until the job was completed. To me, this is the sign of a strong company. They didnt need my deposit to purchase any materials. I even e-mailed Bruce once the job began to ask him if I needed to get him a check. He said because the job started so fast, and because theyd be moving along with the job so quickly, that I could just have a check ready for Ron upon the final walkthrough, and thats what wound up happening. Install-It-Direct is a great company, and I highly recommend them.

We werent certain whether or not we would like artificial turf but knew we were sick and tired of trying to maintain a green lawn the old fashioned way without success.
