The company has really went downhill this year. Technicians skipping lawn treatments but saying they did them. As I watch them on my camera not doing my while lawn. Double charging for applications that should be included in the price. Lawn looks very bad this year compared to others. Finally just had to move on and go with another company.

I would like to have Darek H to do my lawn all year, period.What a great guy! He took the time with my lawn and spoke with me and listened to my questions.He was very thorough and informative.Ive had some problems in the past and almost dropped TruGreen,however Ive had your company do my lawn for years since I moved in to this house. In the past Ive had the same technician come out but the last 2 years Ive had different people every time. I have odd property lines on the south side of the house and everyone has to be told where the line starts and where it ends. By the time they get to the other side I believe they rush through it and therefore I have a problem. I would like to have Derek h come back and do my house every time this season. It just makes good business sense to have someone come out and do the job that is familiar with the house the lines and the customers needs, Derek h did that for me today. Again great guy, very friendly and listened to my needs and that just makes good business sense.

I m very pleased with the service I have received so far and have had the same specialist,Zach Sislowski for at least 3 years now. He s been very helpful in answering questions about my lawn in the past when I had problems as well as questions about our church lawns and flower beds which TruGreen also services and Zach is the specialist for that account also. I plan to continue the service both at home and at my church and would hope Zach continues to be the specialist .

The rep took time to introduce himself and inform us about what he was going to be doing throughout the year. He was friendly and did a thorough job. We have a small water garden/pond with fish, and he was careful not to get any fertilizer overspray near or in the pond. This service just saves us so much time that it s so worth it. Plus, I know that no treatment will be missed like they tend to be when I DYI it.

I called March 1,2023 to sign up for this years 6 application lawn service. On March 3rd, the specialist, Kevin, was at my door explaining to me what to expect with my first application. Before starting, he asked if I had any questions or concerns that I had with my lawn. After finishing the application, Kevin handed me a printout of what fertilizer he used and how much was applied. A stake was inserted in the lawn to make known that lawn service was completed. Im one of many in my neighborhood that uses TRUGREEN and that was the reason I chose them because of my neighbors reviews and lawns.

I inquired about a request for service and pricing. This company now calls me 6-7 times a day, morning until evening. I have asked repeatedly to stop calling and it does not stop!

They gave me a terrible experience on the phone as a potential customer. I called to get information and the rep was rude and argumentative after I asked her some questions to better understand their offerings. After I mentioned to the rep that I would think they would be trying to earn my business as a new customer and I was just trying to understand their program, she said she didnt really care. If this is how they treat potential customers then how do you think they will treat customers that are locked into a contract? No way I will ever do business with a company that either tolerates this type of customer service or has such poor management that they arent even aware of how their reps are talking to people.

Our specialist, Andy Wiley, arrived early and did our first application off the season. He was quiet and we really didnt know he was here until we found the assessment in the front door.

I like that they let you know prior to arriving, then text again when they arrive. I gifted this service to my daughter who is a new home owner. They did a great job with getting rid of most of the weeds. Her lawn was overgrown with weeds. The lawn looks great! They are committed to making sure you are happy with the service. I am pleased with how professional this company is. I may have them thatch the lawn this fall.

Got the mosquito package and as unfortunate as it was to have a retreat done they were back out within 2 days of calling in to schedule. When they came out the representative who treated made sure to do a great job on the areas that needed it most!

Nightmare! Treated my shrubs and some now are dying left plugs from ariation all over lawn and grass needed cutting after one week and half got all dirt in carborator and covered entire tractor had to have shop clean the entire thing lawn looks like hell

My grass is one of the nicest in the neighborhood. TruGreen is responsive and reliable.

So I used TruGreen at our old house. In the spring, after they would spray, the grass grew like crazy. Too much in fact, but the lawn looked good, so I didnt complain. By the time fall would come around, the lawn was pretty much dead, but that was mostly due to weather and lack of water. We just moved and asked someone to call us to start up new service at our new house. We are still waiting for that call. I tried just switching our service online, but was told through the chat option that our account was closed and we would have to start a new one. And there is no option to have someone come out and give you a review of your lawn. You have to sign up or get nothing. So as of right now, we are looking for another company to help with our lawn. And oh yeah, their prices have gone WAY up year over year.

Terrible customer service...

I signed up for service and repeatedly keep getting random texts from trugreen reps trying to sell me other services. It s annoying and getting borderline harassment

The most unprofessional service ever. Did my front yard only because they coded it wrong. Then once they thought they fixed it they sent three different people out to do the backyard and redid the front again three times and killed my grass. Still waiting for my complete refund. Negative

I would give a -5 star if i could...They did not perform anything, this has happened numerous times , i am home all day and get billed for services that were not even completed..no door receipt and no lawn tag , just a charge on my account.... this has happened so many times Im embarressed to say Im still a customer, but i am not now or ever will be again, the service in this place is HORRIBLE. Make sure your home on these services especially the mosquito defense . The first person came and left without doing anything as our home cameras showed he pulled in and out of driveway in two minutes. After complaining to the company second man came and took care of everything he was supposed too. First time we ever had an issue.

What a scam!! Dont do it. My son caught the guy only doing part of my lawn a couple times. Still had weeds, tried to upsell to some pesticide thing for my trees. Decided to go with the aeration service one year, never signed up for it the next year and yet they showed up and did it. Now they want payment for it. Spoke with their customer service, thought we had it straightened out then got a call back demanding half. DONT USE THEM, DONT USE THEM, DONT USE THEM!!!!

Great service

Our lawn was a mess last year and TruGreen came in and fixed that problem. By mid summer all of the weeds were gone and our grass was green and thicker than ever. The employees have been so respectful throughout the pandemic and we never had to call in between services due to weeds. I was skeptical when we first signed up but I don t have one complaint.

I have been with Trugreen for several years and have always admire how my looks

Paid for the contract for the year upfront as they wanted, even after many issues at multiple homes where they decided to come when they wanted and sprayed even when not asked. We now have an abundance of weeds, crabgrass, clover, dandelions, bare spots and have done everything with Trugreen including paying for the overpriced aeration and overfeeding last year which was done late (their fault) and never came in...at all. Our yard is the worst it has ever been. Multiple calls to customer service, emails sent, managers call to come but dont ever show. I strongly suggest you get another company or do it yourself. And asked for a refund... no contact back.

Customer service is horrible. The service itself is poor, service applications n appointments are not honored in ressinable times.

We are getting tons of weeds, I tried calling, put on hold for over half an hour, finally spoke to someone in Tobago, she was of no help, I would have to wait a month before they could come and assess the problem..so much for a guarantee that weed control works....they will not refund any of the money, even though its not working and I have to wait....looking for another company that can stand behind thier work.... I have been less than happy with the service the past couple of years, but this is the end....the company has no issue taking your money, it certainly wont stand behind the product....

TruGreens poor business model prevents them from meeting customer expectations. Im a Lean Six Sigma guy so we look for speed, quality and price from the customers prospective. TruGreen disallows any relationship with the customer because they assign a different person each time for treatment. If Im lucky enough to talk to their tech, they will aske me what needs to be done. I will communicate my needs, but this information is lost because he will not be the person that provide treatment next time. The result? Areas that I have paid to be treated, go untreated. I have as many weeds now as I did last year at this time without TruGreen so I pull them. The last time, the TruGreen left fertilizer pellets on me and my neighbors concrete that I had to sweep off. With TruGreen, its always something left undone. The receipt they give you may make you feel like they did something, but its just paper. If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. If Elyria TruGreen wants a model to emulate, look no further than Central Exterminating. Jimmy treats our property EVERYTIME, waves hello and asks me if Im having any problems. Not Bobby or Tommy, but Jimmy! He gives me his cell and instructs me to call him if I ever have a problem before his next scheduled visit. When I call TruGreen, I get an answering service and no response and I can count on it being a different person each and every time which does not allow for the all-important customer relationship to be established. Instead, TruGreen has called meat least 20 times trying to sell me other services (insect control, aeration), but I have not received one call on the quality of my current service. TruGreen has called me at least 5 times trying to sell me insect control. I have explained that I have Jimmy who does an outstanding job, but apparently this does not het communicated to other at TruGreen because they keep trying to sell me insect control! TruGreen, why would I purchase another service from you when you cant get the current service right? I have one or two treatments left with TruGreen, but I dont really care if they come back. I see know little or no difference in my lawn with their service. I can purchase the Scotts plan, buy a high quality drop spreader and still have money left over and more importantly, I know my lawn will be treated. Good luck TruGreen and future TruGreen customers. Im not a fan

Excellent Service!

Over this past season our lawn has been getting overrun with crab grass, even though TruGreen had been supposedly treating for that. We have been trying to get services scheduled to come take care of this, but every time TruGreen says they will be there we get a cancel email that just says that they couldn t complete the scheduled service, with no reason given, and that they will reschedule. Finally, Thursday, a rep showed to do the spraying. He first tried to talk me out of the service since the weeds are so overgrown, there is nothing an extra spraying will do this year , after having to explain to him that I wanted him to do the service that we are paying for he finally agreed to do it. I then watched him get back in his truck, drive away and minutes later got an email and invoice showing the work was done and what product he had used. No wonder my lawn is over run with weeds. This fraudulent company is not doing the services that we are paying for and sending out falsified reports. I have been trying to speak with a supervisor in regards to this, but the only people you can ever seem to talk with are call center reps who explain that management is not available, but they will be more than happy to reschedule a service (which they won t complete), take a message and have someone call you back (which they never do), or provide you an email address (which no one replies back to). Save your time, money and lawn.

I do not even want to give one star. We paid for an annual yard service which included weed and grub control. We now have a lawn infested with grubs. The grub control clearly did not work. But to make matters worse, they will NOT come and treat for the grubs. I have been calling for 3 weeks and they keep sending people with no grub control in their truck. Horrible, horrible service. Don t waste your money unless your goal is a dead yard and constant headaches and wasted time on your part to try to get someone to handle. And oh by the way - they don t issue refunds. The company only guarantees the health of your lawn. What a joke? My lawn is dead and I cannot get one person with this company to handle. It seems I will have to hire someone else and spend more money to fix my yard. WORST COMPANY!!

They have come FOUR TIMES onto my property, WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, and aerated my yard FOUR TIMES in THREE WEEKS. I am not EVEN A CUSTOMER. My yard looks like hell. The root structure is damaged. It was vibrant green before they utterly DESTROYED it. I have been dealing with customer service for over two weeks with zero help.

I have cancelled my service with true green with two different people now but they keep coming out and billing me without my authorization.my yard has been fertilized three times in the past three weeks and my yard is now all dying and full of weeds that thrive in a high nitrogen environnement.. This company is incompetent bottom line. This location needs to have every single employee fired. I literally don t know who else to call to cancel. At this point I m going to have to kill my whole lawn as they just keep dumping chemicals in my yard at an irresponsible interval. Stay as far away from this company as possible.

Workers lie about recieving deliveries from doordash. Resulting the delivery driver to get into trouble. .

Charged me 4 x as much as they quoted me. Never came to my house! Called and asked for the following month to knock on door to show proof that they came and did no such sort! Can t even get a call back! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Awful customer service and little to no improvement on the lawn

Last year they tried to fit a huge aerator thru my gate into my tiny yard and broke my gate! They did fix it. We quit service, trying to do it ourselves, but got over run with weeds. Reluctantly, we hire them back, and the day of service leave me waiting for them for 12 hours, never to show, and when I call in, the recording said I CANCELLED MY SERVICE FOR THAT DAY!?! I did no such thing! Trugreen in my opinion is in too much of a hurry to give any attention to detail with each customers yard, you re just a ticket they need to rush and get done! It s a shame, my family had used them for 20+ years! I won t use them anymore, ever again. Service is not good at all.

Been nothing but issues and poor experiences every single month since the first application. Over charged my account and going through some bs to get refunded.

I can say this much no matter how much yourblocal guy tells you, he will do a better job hes just using a lower grade of their material and this office specifically has been doing business for almost 60 years now. If you are thinking about lawncare think Trugreen theres no better choice, plus with their trulawn gurantee theres no risk to you or your lawn.

Two years in a row they did not get ahead of the weeds. Now the dandelions have seeded. I know what that means. Then I called for service for 2 weeks straight. 3-4 different occasions they keep telling me tomorrow. Then the last time I called they told me they did the service on 5/12/18. No tag or yard flag so I checked the security cameras. No one was here they flat out lied to me. Go to weed pro!

When True Green started working on my yard it was sparse and full of weeds.....in the past 2 years, all the dandelions are gone along with the crab grass and the grass has gotten thicker....overall, Im very pleased.

My lawn was serviced by Eric brown under the supervisor David Stokes. They performed an aeration service and left my driveway, and side walk covered in grass pellets. After the service was performed they hit my mailbox and drove off laughing. It has been two days and no one has called or came by to clean the mess they made, or fix the mailbox. Ive been told a manger will contact me and it has not happened diligently. Do not use this company, they are unorganized and customer service is least of their priorities. Theyll hire anyone and let anyone that is unprofessional try to maintain your yard. I was told my mail box would be replaced within two days and it has been over a week and no one has called or replaced the mailbox.

They ruined my lawn by incorrectly fertilizing it. Impossible to get a supervisor to call me back. Horrible customer service.

I have had several specialists work on my lawn and it has shown so much improvement over this past summer I could not be more pleased. They are always professional, friendly and knowledgeable.. Excellent Job!

I complained to my service man that I was not satisfied with the service for the amount of money it costs. My lawn is green ,but weeds are green . Ive been using chem lawn and trugreen for however many years they have been in exsistance. My lawn looks like green crap. I have done all the recommended procedures .They are just trying to make my bill larger. It started with just four treatments and now its five or six. Each time my bill goes up but the lawn does not look better. My service man told my that if I was not happy that service calls were free. What am I paying for if I need to tell them the lawn sucks , cant they see that. Thats their job. The service man said he would talk to his supervisor about my lawn . It has been three weeks and I havent herd a word. What kind of service is that I ask? My advice is to buy a broadcast spreader and some Scotts and do your own for about a little more than the cost of one Trugreen application ,if you are physically able which I am not .

I really like TruGreen, have used your service for years. Personnel are great: polite, professional. The problem is that this year I have a real infestation of prickly weeds that seem to defy treatment. Im hoping the four applications will resolve this.
