Pacific Landscapes in Elk Grove

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. We hired Pacific Landscapes to do a complete front and backyard project after having a pool built. They did our pool coping and it is an absolute mess and needs to be fully redone. Every piece has a crack in it. They have no idea how to install tile strip to the pool's coping form - they tried 3 times to get it right and were unsuccessful. Ryan is the new owner and while he is nice, he is either overwhelmed or unqualified to be a landscape manager. He told us our job was his smallest project - I don't see a $25K job as that small...Maybe that is why we wouldn't hear from him in 7+ days? Maybe that is why our 2-4 week project took almost 3 months? Much of the job had to be fixed or done twice because the work was done so poorly, or the wrong plants/materials were delivered. Electrical was taped together, cords were exposed throughout the yard and it took them 3 times to get it to work. The plants they provided were the most anemic looking plants I have ever seen - you can find nicer plants at Home Depot. Many of his plants have died and we have replaced them with plants we bought ourselves, all of which have survived and are thriving. We determined that they forgot to put drips on many of the plants, valves were leaking and there were a tone of holes in the irrigation lines. Their workers need to be directed (BY YOU) almost every step of the way. Things that should take 1-2 hours take them 1-2 days. Do not be fooled by their nice plans and attention during the sales process.

My waterfall is beautiful, great service, always responsive to my questions and concerns. Front yard walkway with flagstones is perfect, I've had many positive comments from the neighbors as they walk by. A very positive experience and I would recommend Pacific Landscapes for any landscaping projects in your future!

The experience started with Clifford and I having multiple discussions to design my blank slate backyard (new construction). He listened to me intently and designed a space I never envisioned. Then the crew came out and exceeded my expectations. I had multiple questions during the process and they were always patient and responsive. Ryan answered my numerous texts promptly, even after the work was done and I had questions. I have received multiple compliments ranging from 'it looks like a model home', 'your yard should be in a magazine', 'it's set up so great for entertaining', and 'it's so comfortable'. I would not hesitate to use Pacific Landscapes again!

We had a fairly small backyard project but Clifford and the team at Pacific Landscapes treated us professionally and promptly. Clifford really helped with our vision of what we wanted. The workers were respectful and polite as well. Excellent company and people! However, a year later I called back about an update to our project but I have not received any call backs or return emails. I wonder if this place is still in business?

Loved working with Clifford!! He took all my favorite things and blended them beautifully into an amazing display of color, texture, levels and artwork! I absolutely love my front yard! he was very easy to work with, took the thoughts bouncing around in my head and made perfect sense of them. I could not have done this without him!!
