They have a large selection of plants. Their plants are beautiful.

Went to Dick s today for the first time and Wow was it great! They had an amazing selection of gorgeous heathy plants and flowers. I will definitely be going there for any and all of my gardening needs.Thank you!

Great food and service

The owner is a rude jerk. Take your business elsewhere. He doesnt even offer to help a woman put large shrubs, etc. in her car. He is so lazy the customer has to seek him out to make a purchase while he is sitting in the back. He doesnt thank the customer after they pay their hard earned money. Take your business to where the paying customer is treated with a little respect.

They have a variety of plants. I shop for the pond supplies, fish and plants.

Went to get mulch today, which they have plenty of. They said they weren t selling right now because it was to much of a hassle with so many cars in the parking lot. It was a straight shot from the black mulch to my trailer. Told me to come back in the morning and try again. As if I will not go somewhere else. Trying to buy local but in their case it is too much of a hassle . Their words not mine.

We have been here last year and again this year. It has been a pleasant experience both the times. The facility is maintained so well and the plants are all so healthy and lovely. Would be visiting them again soon.

They have beautiful annuals and perennials flowers also very healthy vegetable plants. This place has everything you need to build an outdoor pond as well. This is my place of shopping when spring begin to get my gardens done and my front looking pretty.

Convenient, but a little pricey

Very nice place great prices! We thought someone would ask if we needed help they did not. We were looking at the all weather chairs in front on display (we need six and would have order them yesterday and paid for them). The only person we did see was very busy with one couple entire time we were there. Im not saying its bad service. It just would have been nice to have shown some interest in us as customers.

Dead frogs in the tadpole tank and dead ones on the edge, left to dry up. Had clearly been there for a while and ignored.

Cool gardening place where my family gets our Christmas Tree. Not one of your upscale places but serves its purpose. Noticable from the roadway and easy in and out. May have been around for a while, and that is the feel. Works with the customer with good explanations.

Your employees are very rude! If you don t want business, CLOSE your doors. You won t get my business ever!

I bought fish and he was very violent with getting the fish out of his tank didnt care about them and they all died buy the next morning will not ever use this place again dont tell me he cares about the fish I shouldnt have bought them in the first place they look very sick they had lesions this place should not have fish to sell the water was dirty and they dont care for them very well so dont expect me to ever use you business again

I have visited this establishment many times over the past 20 years. I won t ever again. Visited to buy 75 feet of rope pine as I have every year for 20 years. A young lady was quite helpful in helping me and another customer locate the 75 feet section of pine rope. While we were waiting to pay the owner took the rope from our hand a told us he was not going to sell it to us in 75 foot lengths (as advertised on the sign in the story for $50). He stated he could make more money buy cutting the pine into 25 foot sections and selling them for more. He said if we wanted to pay for the cost of three 25 foot sections (over $90) we could have the rope. It s his business. He can run it how he pleases. This is the second time recently that the owner has acted rudely while I visited the store. He did dismissively wish me Merry Christmas as I exited the store...never to return.

CLOSED?! I last went here last October for some straw bales, blueberry plants, and strawberry plants. A worker helped me load my car. The plants are doing great now and seem very healthy. Decent selection with lots of plants, fountains, ponds, garden statues, Koi fish and a plethora of gardening supplies. I was saddened because we went there this afternoon to pick up some gardening supplies and noticed there was a chain on the closed gate and they appeared closed. Everything looked messy and disarrayed. The sign was still up and nothing on their website alluded to the store being closed during such hours. Does anyone know if this place is closed for good? Im rating this place 3 stars because my experience before was good, but not so much anymore. :(

Dicks Garden Center doesnt need money. I called during business hours to order mulch, I received an answering machine. No one called me back. I tried calling again and the phone range busy like they took it off the hook. A neighboring landscaping company gladly look my $600 order.

They dont answer their phones so i drove all the way out here, wasted my time for them to not have what i need

We get our trees every year from this spot...Affordable and Quality Christmas trees so because of that, they ve retained us every year.

This place has shown me as of late that they neither value or desire my patronage so I will no longer be a customer of theirs. 1st incident: I set up an order for a wood delivery providing my credit card information and address for delivery to the owner and they never showed or called to rescheduled the delivery. 2nd incident: When I remarked on a prior delivery that a lot of the wood that I received from them was too large to fit into my wood burning stove, the driver told me to bring the wood back to swap it out for smaller pieces. When I did that the owner said that the wood was not his so he would not take it. I explained that I ve only ever gotten wood from him since I ve owned this house. He said that the pieces were too big to be his (Yeah, that s kind of the point). So I guess his interpretation of the situation is that I got wood from someone else and brought it to him to replace it with his wood. Who would do that and why? I am a huge proponent of small businesses because I believe they basically put money back into the community that they serve, but I will not be called a liar by someone and pay them for the privilege. Nor, will I have my time and my money wasted. Trust me you can do a lot better than this business for whatever services you are considering them for.

I have been getting my wood from Dicks for a long time now. They have excellent quality aged wood and I have no trouble burning it on these winter days. I also use Dicks for spring cleanup and my house looks great afterwards. As summer approaches, I return to get my beautiful flowers and herbs for my gardens. This small business is a gem for the Eldersburg community. Home depot and Walmart flowers cant compete with the quality of Dicks. Added bonus: The gift shop is great to browse through and I always find something adorable when I go. I highly recommend this family run business!!!

Absolutely call Tony! I had a driveway done with 2 truckloads of road base dropped in wrong place. Tony called to tell me he was on his way, and showed up on time, ready to go. Estimate of 3 hours and was done in 2. His handiwork on the machine was impressive. Driveway came out excellent! Price was below the estimate and his helpers were great! I will continue to use Dicks for all my garden needs. Hes going to add sod and dress up the driveway apron next week. I highly recommend Dicks garden center. Tony was great to deal with on phone and in person. His workers also were great. Stayed busy until finished, thats why that got done early. They even cleaned up the street where dump trucks left a mud trail down the road. Thanks again, Tony!

Tony always takes care of us. Every year, our home and my business. Offers sound advice, gives us several scenarios and ways to go. His team, when on site, are professional, very clean, work site neat and organized, polite, prompt, etc. We also make a few trips the his store each year for great plants, larger combinations of items you simply cannot find at the chain stores. It s not just plants, they increased our pool decks size (pavers), they have done sidewalks, a fire pit, and walls. If it s outside, they can do it! There are a lot of choices near us, there is a reason it s always Tony and Dick s Garden Center.

We have used Dicks Garden Center in all of our hard scraping and landscaping needs for over 10 years and we love them. Their employees are superb and their work always exceeds our expectations!

Prices are good as well as the selection. I couldnt find everything I was looking for but still managed to spend quite a bit. A little muddy walking around too. I know the place has been there a long time but it would be great if the annual flowers area was a little less congested. Ill keep comi g back though!

Quaint and unique, lot of stuff packed in; very large selection. Younger gentlemen who helps my daughter and I is always very friendly and informative... big box stores and chains simply dont offer the selection or service Ive found here :) keep it up! Love to support small local businesses

horrible customer service. went in today (12/12/17) with my family at 11:00am (normal business hours) - and the owner came out and said sharply were closed! - I asked if we could buy a cut Christmas tree and he said were closed - Confused, I then mentioned that it was a normal business day/advertised hours and he then said well we all have to leave for a landscaping job - be back in the afternoon while walking away with his back to me. Again....this was the owner. Weird. I wont be back and wont recommend to anyone in my neighborhood. Too many businesses out there that value customers. :)

The place has a nice selection of plants and gardening items but NO NATIVE plants. This is a serious oversight since every non-native plant sold and planted is a wasted opportunity to help our environment and local fauna and flora. It takes a vision and commitment to sell anything but the average and ordinary and this place does not have it. A good natives selection would be a terrific addition to the offering.
