Huge nursery with a wide selection. Picked up a neon pothos and plumeria; both reasonably priced. Came for the plants, stayed for the resident cat[s] 😀
So happy I found this place today! Their staff is very knowledgeable and they have an amazing selection of native California milkweed that is pesticide and growth inhibitor free. I've had such a hard time trusting nurseries in the past that claim their milkweed is pesticide free then when I got it home my caterpillars died from eating it. 😭 This nursery had aphids, ladybugs, milkweed beetles and tons of caterpillars on their milkweed so I knew it was safe for my "cats." I even brought home at least three stowaway caterpillars and a bunch of 🐞.
This used to be my number one nursery in all of Los Angeles. However…. Just left with nothing after filling my cart with milkweed and being told to return all of the plants as I was only allowed two plants…. Arbitrary! Posted no where! I am a long time patron of this nursery and bought ten milkweed a month before. Ridiculous policy and bad business especially when you have devoted, long term, customers.
Operational excellence! The facility is always well stocked, their process are fair to market and the employees are knowledgeable and friendly. This year we purchased an extra large Christmas tree here. Though unaware of how these larger trees are managed and processed, a team was expedited the same afternoon to access the situation and ensure our Holiday tree was in order. Thank you !
Update on August 31, 2020 Bought Hawaiian Bud & Bloom (plant food) to use for our Plumeria. Recently decided to try it on our Hibiscus plants. Oh Wow! Wasn't expected our Hisbicus plants to be loaded with so many beautiful flowers. ******************** Original Review: Very happy with various purchases from this garden center. Have purchased various plants from Hibiscus (beautiful variations and even dish plate size), various Cosmos, African Daisies to various vegetable and herbs plants. They have very good selection of fertilizers, supplements, treatments for plant and yes, beneficial bugs for the garden. Found out that ladybugs and lacewing larves feast on aphids, mealybugs and whiteflies. I have allot of various plants and trees. Unfortunately whiteflies and mealybugs like our citrus trees. The lacewing larve and ladybugs seems to be controlling them so far. First time using these benefical bugs this year. International garden center takes good care of their beneficial bugs. They were very happy ladybugs when they were released. Must follow the instructions for the release.
I loved everything from them. The great quality and the variety of plants they have. The rose trees are big and nice and the employees treat you like family. I'm surely coming back again and again.
Excellent customer service from most knowledgeable staff/gardening experts! The vast selection of plants and fountains exceeded my expectations...so worth the effort to drive here.
Workers are completely rude and useless. I said hello to start our conversation and this old guy just looks at me and says What? I ask if they carry organic topsoil and the old dude points me to a bag that is not organic. He told me to read it and see if I liked it, then proceeds to walk away. Mediocre stuff and for the amount theyre asking, youre better off going elsewhere.
Horrible flower arrangements for Valentines day. I ordered a flower arrangement for my wife for Valentines day and it did not look like the picture of the flower bouquet on their website. They used old wilted roses and it just looked like it was thrown together very sloppily. For the price they charge on Valentines day, they should at least look nice. I could have picked up a better flower bouquet at Ralphs or Target. Buyers beware!

Had fungus gnats on indoor plants. Asked for what I thought I needed, but the staff was attentive, asked questions, listened, and told me my solution was too expensive for what I needed. Mike, one of the guys on the floor, spent all the time I needed to recommend the cure, how to do it, how long it would take, and he even walked me through the life cycle of fungus gnats. I cannot say enough about how valued I felt as a customer. They earned a life-long customer today.
Pricey but I did find what I wanted in house plants.

Lovely arrangement but upon delivery, flowers are old. Especially the roses. I feel badly that the givers of this arrangement were taken advantage of.
Pricier than most, but the plants are healthy and hard to finds are found here! Well stocked veggies and exotics. The staff is available and ready to help, they are knowledgeable and obviously enjoy what they do because it shows in their interest in their customers. Thanks for always having the hard to find.

I love this place! Everyone is super helpful, super knowledgeable, super friendly. I come here just to walk around even when I dont specifically need anything. And everything I get here is awesome! They have the best selection of anything you could need! And I love their cats (also super friendly)!

I was looking for desert rose and I got it from here with good price. Really nice helpful staff. Prices they kept on each item reasonably low compared to other nursery around. There are verity of Plant pots with good price.
This place blew my mind. So many plants, so affordable. They also have a great selection of planters, hanging planters, garden decorations and seeds. Will come back 100x.

Sorry to-share that this place does NOT service people with allergies/disability to face masks. Although multiple people of their staff & numerous customers wearing masks incorrectly. (not covering mouth or nose) We were not allowed as a customer to enter! People, please do not support a establish that is this discriminating to people with allergies! What a shame, Niklas Ivarsson

Decent selection, but their prices are significantly higher than those of other local nurseries. I bought several 5 gallon shrubs here for $60 each. The same shrubs were $25 each at South Bay Gardens I kicked myself for not calling around more before making my purchase. I bought ten bags of Baby Bu Malibu Compost from Aqua Flo Supply in Torrance, where they were $16 each. I just needed a couple more to complete my project, so I went here because its closer to my home. Each bag was $25. I just waited until the next time I was in Torrance to pick some up.

Such a beautiful garden center they had many assortments and plants to look at. I came to get a planter box to decorate and the lady was super nice and helped me out. The price was pretty reasonable as I was at a few other places today that didnt have what I was looking for. Definitely recommend give this place a look. I unfortunately didnt stay too long the massive wind chimes gave me massive anxiety. But over all a pleasant experience.

Great customer service very knowledgeable! Went there to get advice / product for squirrels (or perhaps a possum) eating my rose bush. The employee listened carefully to my issue and then recommended placing old-school mothballs around the base of the plant. This totally worked, and only cost a couple of dollars. I m additionally impressed because they don t sell mothballs there. So this demonstrates the knowledge and commitment to great service, even if it didn t result in a sale. But of course, I will continue to shop and purchase from them; it s rare to find such a commitment to service and integrity in today s world.
There are so many types of succulents that I never get tired of looking at them. This is a plant store where you can enjoy the atmosphere of California.

I found this place due to a botched delivery from another company and have ordered flowers from here since 2014. I have them sent to my girlfriends work and she comes home laughing at how people walk by, stop and marvel at the quality of the arrangement - as done by Sylvie. Sylvie is the reason I keep ordering flowers from International Garden Center. Aside from being the kindest person you could meet, she is so gifted in her abilities as a florist. Everything she does is done with great care and taste. She has taken good care for 4 years now. Very special place.

Im seriously confuse how anyone can review this place poorly. Are people on freaking Google drunk or morons? This place has everything: exotics, impeccable presentation in there arrangements and knowledgeable staff. Expect to pay a premium or go shop at a cheap flower shop. The key here is you can get more han just flowers (its just the bouquets here that are so beautiful).

Ive come to International Garden and Floral Design Center many times over the years, primarily during the holidays to get Christmas Trees and other items. They always have a good selection, and the staff are helpful when selecting, cutting, packing and putting the trees on your car. Pro tip - if youre an Ingress player, there is a portal here that is tough to reach when theyre closed!
