Dave Slemmer and his team were helpful, communicative, and professional. I got bids from several landscapers for some areas in our yard that needed to have rock and poor soil removed and replaced with topsoil. Others were rude when they visited and were ballparking their estimates on the fly. Dave was the opposite, very transparent, and professional. He documented his estimate clearly, then was responsive to any questions I had. The work they did was quick, clean, and thorough. They removed all mess, took care to not trample through plants around the yard, and communicated with me throughout their work to keep me posted. Would highly recommend, and I will be going back to them for future larger jobs.

We had a challenging project that included the tear out and rebuild of a failing retaining wall near our deck and Slemmer Landscape was more than up to the challenge. Working around the house, deck and other landscaping they meticulously removed the old wall and rebuilt it. Cant say enough good things about Dave and his crew.

We love our new covered patio, fire pit, and grill installed by Slemmer Landscaping. The team from Slemmer did a fantastic job. Their attention to detail made me feel very comfortable about the long term durability of their work. They also updated the landscaping around the rest of our home and installed new landscape lighting. They completed all of this and left our yard looking like they were never there. We could not have been more satisfied with all the work performed by Slemmer Landscaping.

We ve used Slemmer Landscaping since we moved to Edwardsville over 3 years ago. They did our initial landscaping (both the design and the install) and we liked it so much we had them back to do all of the landscaping work around our pool. This wasn t just a put a tree here and a bush there job. Dave designed the landscaping plan, asked for our input and ultimately came up with a design that we love. He had to coordinate with the pool builder to build a retaining wall, the fence installer so they didn t put in landscaping that would be ripped up and the City of Edwardsville on the inspections. Every step of the way he was honest, transparent and communicated with us often. His initial bid was detailed and well thought out, so there were no surprises at the end. We cannot recommend Dave and his team enough. They re even friendly to our kids! We ll see if we can attach some photos to this post so you can see the amazing work they do.

We met with several landscape companies to update an area of our front yard. One was way over priced, one didnt even have the courtesy to return an estimate after meeting with us! Dave came when he said he was coming, was polite and timely in returning his proposal and offered a reasonable bid. While we did have to wait a while for his services, it was well worth the wait! He again came as promised, his staff was hardworking and delightful to work with. We are very pleased with our end results and would highly recommend him to anyone!

Slemmer Landscaping tore out our old concrete patio and retaining wall and replaced it with a much nicer wall and paver patio. The communication was great throughout the process. Even during a downpour Dave stayed to ensure water wouldnt get into our home and climbed a ladder when he noticed one of our gutters wasnt draining. Very professional and highly recommended.
