Just had a cluster of trees removed. Justin and the crew did a great job. It was a sight to watch, how the team had a routine down packed. From start to finish. Price was right and the team cleaned up right away.

They attempted to provide a stump grinding only to go half way into the stump. They then said it was unsafe to finish the job because they were concerned about the proximity to gas lines. If the job was truly unsafe then they should have never started the job (they assessed beforehand). And ultimately they should have offered some form of refund since the service was never completed. The office was not helpful and the owner was made aware and made no attempt to resolve. Unfortunately it seems they are only out to collect money and the owner knows nothing about customer service and quality.

Great job done twice by Travis J`s crew, first by trimming trees and second clearing perimeter for the fence installation.

I gave them a call to remove some bushes from our church property. I met Justin at the church and got a great estimate. The job was done and looks great!! Justin and his crew were great!

Had great experience after hiring this company, would highly recommend. I worked with Justin Hetts estimating, coordinating, and completing the job. He was pleasure to deal with throughout, reponsive and knowledgeable. The crew did an amazing job removing the downed oak and debris, also thinning up to two beautiful oaks. The crew was polite and efficient. My 30-foot diseased palm tree was down, and debris was removed within an hour. A great job.

Got a quote from Justin yesterday, which was very reasonable for all the work I needed done. Today the Jay and the entire crew showed up at 11:30, worked like crazy til 3 and completed everything I needed done and more. They cut back a lot of bamboo, some trees, trimmed my front shrubs and left everything all cleaned up. Their equipment is top notch and they never stopped. Excellent job

Christian gave us a fair price for the amount of work that needed done. They came a few days later to start the job. I didnt receive notice that they were coming. The first thing they did was cut down the tree in the neighbors yard. The job went haywire after that. They didnt do what was on the proposal and sniveled when I pointed out what needed to be done. They did some of the work, but not all and left debris. After calling Christian back, he sent a young man named Jay over to supervise the last work needed. If they had a supervisor on the job that knew the scope of the job in the first place, the job would have gone smoothly. Im satisfied with the final results.

About an hour ago, Gauge came to my residence and offered an almost too good to be true deal.. He said he could have his boss come to my property to give a free estimate on tree trimming. I asked the two basic questions; do you haul away the lumber, or could you cut it up for firewood. I was told yes.. Justin, the boss, just left. He offered a GREAT PROPOSAL I could not refuse! He and his crew will be here within a couple of hours to do what is planned. I always appreciate locally owned businesses and Im very happy they are able to do the work in the same day!!!! Props to you, Justin and Gauge!!!

Jay was so amazing, he did everything right down to cutting the wood, he even jumped on the machine, was meticulous throughout the job, very considerate. Jay is truly a superstar in my book Justin actually sold the job, but Jay went above and beyond, so I didn t see any reason not to pay the full amount! jay is an asset to this company for sure and only wish I had someone that pushed as hard as jay does at my company! I had them come to my property to get rid of my trees and brush in April 2024. But they never came back to finish picking up the debris. I called them in early September, and they asked for photos of the debris, to which I complied immediately, and I am still waiting for them. In the meantime, Ive been throwing out barrels of trash every week since April. I paid them $9,000 for the work, and Im stuck with the cleanup. Im looking at at least a year before I can complete this on my own. One more thing to mention is that their heavy trucks and machines disrupted my land and created dunes, which I had to level out as well. Also, not all of the tree stumps were ground down or removed. Other than that, they did a good job.

Southern turf removed a tree and took care of some bushes for us. The crew was fast and efficient and very professional and friendly. Jay did the estimate, supervised the work and kept a close eye on everything. We were happy with their work and will definitely go with Southern turf next time.

Southern Turf informed me that they would complete the permit for the tree removal in Apopka which is a requirement. I called them 4 times requesting the permit. I received no reply. I then emailed them about 4 times and nothing. I then spoke to Christie on 6/26 and said that Justin would call me. Nothing. So I contacted the City of Apopka and was told that my mother now has to pay $150. I emailed stating that I wanted a refund of $150 and still nothing. The City of Apopka also emailed them and stated the following: Dear Southern Turf, Please be advised, when any tree is removed within the Apopka City limits it is required to obtain a permit before removal or Code Enforcement will be contacted. Also, for future reference, I would provide your clients with a copy of the permit before work is started. Community Development Secretary City of Apopka For me to write this review is a last resort to get a refund of $150. Hopefully, my mother will not receive any future fines for not having a permit. Other than this issue, they were fast and the price was reasonable.

The Team was awesome. The quote and follow up was excellent. Had two live oaks trimmed and canopies raised. They made me aware when they were in their way. They did an awesome job cleaning the yard up and you would never even know they were here . Highly recommend.

You guys are the best. You have heavy duty equipment to get the job done quickly and do excellent work without fault. And the clean up removed the last little twig.

Where do I even begin? I started my project with a newly hired project manager on 4/26/24: a gentleman who was too good to be true. He was thorough, communicative, and professional to start my project with. I had a lot of things listed to be done with my project including: tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding, trenching, landscape grading, and the works all for $7,000! I was told that my project from start to finish would be done within a week to a week and a half. That sounded great! Well... I went from having amazing communication with the project manager between 4/26-5/12... On 5/13 I reached out and got no response from there on besides being informed to follow up with the office. Between 5/13 until now (7/10) I have had minimal to no communication besides fighting to get ahold of someone. I have sent emails, I have called, and each time that I was told we will be back with you by end of day, I would wait days. My week/half project has turned into over 2.5months of fighting to just get someone out to finish. Not to mention that it took them 3 weeks to inform me that the project manager that I had been working with wasnt even with the company any longer and that that would be the start of my everyday battle just to get information. I paid this company in full just to fight for what I had paid for. I waited to leave a review until the final day of my project (7/10) just to see how long it would take. The amount of times I called, and emailed just to be met with many excuses ranging from machines being down, people out of office, and having another project first. They left a huge pile of dirt that needed to be spread on my property for weeks! It was growing grass by the time they got out here! I could go on for days about the overall dissatisfaction and disappointment that I have experienced- including all the proof, but what good would it do since I already paid. The only true compassionate and communicative person that I have met since is their primary stump grinder, Blue. He has been sent out to my site 4-5 times since April, encouraging me to keep trying to contact the office. He has grinded stumps, he trenched my property line like I asked, and even checks in with the customer to make sure he did what was wanted before leaving the site. I am happy that they have someone working with the company who is genuine.

I needed someone to take a look at some trees in my yard, and I couldn t be happier with the results. From the initial consultation to the final cleanup, their service was top-notch. The certified arborist Justin was incredibly knowledgeable and provided valuable insights into the health and maintenance of my trees. He assessed the situation, offering practical advice on which trees needed trimming, which were healthy, and which ones needed to be removed. I will most definitely be doing business with again.

Great company and people. The guys on the ground do not stop and worked hard all day even under the scorching sun. Was surprised to find an honest company out there that can deliver on what they say, as we kissed a lot of frogs to find you guys. The only place to go! Removal of 3 trees, preparation and millings of approx. 6,000SqFt, mulching to reclaim property boundary.

They took down a huge pine that was all rotted at the base and I was afraid that if it fell it would hit the house. They took it down and hauled it to the street, cleaned up after themselves and it was great service. Thanks everyone at Southern Turf!

Justin and his brother run an honest business. If I could give 1000 stars I would. Fair quote and straight forward. They know their trees, being in the business 30+ years, and arent looking to chop them down for money. After receiving several outrageous quotes and bad, bad advice, my sister and I chose Southern Turf. After removing branches and suckers on four trees and falling the fifth, they were generous enough to grind the stump. We have a large property with several ancient oaks , lots of live oaks, laurel oaks and water oaks. We just had a crew here yesterday to do some major trimming and to remove a diseased tree. We originally met with Christian, who went over every detail of the recommended work. He answered all our questions and concerns. We watched the entire process, directed by Travis, who was very professional and skilled. The HUGE pile of debris, which was piled up on our front lawn, was picked up this morning again, a very professional job! Finally, a service company that understands customer service, and knows how to properly care for trees. Thank you.

Received excellent service from Sourthern Turf removing hanging tree limbs from our recent tornado damage. Staff were professional quick and safety conscious. Glad we found them in the neighborhood.

They were done in 2 hrs the only thing I didnt like was that the truck which takes all the cuttings away didnt come until 630 last night and they took down tree at 9am. They were fair and did a great job.

Absolute crooks and thieves. Company contracted to build a retaining wall here at my property, failed by all city code to build properly. contracted To build wall 5 tall, Called it done at less than three in most spots. Pictures and proof available.

Southern Turf with their amazing crew including several arborists did a fantastic job cleaning out 2 giant Live Oaks, trimming 13 palm trees, and cleaning it all up. Eddie explained everything and drew up the detailed contract making sure he answered all my questions and concerns. I was so impressed by not only the skill but also the manners and respect the entire team showed. I even met one of the partners, Philip and appreciated the arborists making sure I was satisfied. They trimmed and cleaned every piece of tree trimming, these guys are the best i have come across in 22 years here. And they have equipment that NOBODY else has.....

Would not recommend this company to anyone. They re scammers. Completely lied to me and double charged me 1200$ for something that should of only cost 500.. I paid for a 60 yard claw truck to pick up maybe 40 yards of debris and they sent a truck over 3/4 full and barely took anything, and then lied to me about it. No one could get their story straight but when asked they said that the driver only picked up a little and was supposed to go back but never did. I called and talked to Jessica and she said it was a miss understanding and the driver was coming back out. Never did.. had to call them and tell them to bring the guy back out to finish loading what was 25-30 yards of debris and to find out they charged me again for something they said they were going to take care of. I paid for a 60 yard truck it should have been empty when it pulled onto my job site. This has been a terrible experience Whitney and Jessica scammed me out of my money and I will never use this company.

No extra care given where machine turned corner around patio (grass was damaged), I specifically asked not to touch my shade tree and lower shade limbs were removed, a young plant growing nearby was damaged. Crew was nice but not very professional (showed up late without a call) and clearly didn t take the care I expected for the cost. I would not use this service again.

They did a great job cutting down our Norfolk Pine tree in our front yard next to our house. They made us very nervous after the tree was taken down, they asked for payment, before the job was complete. The debris wasnt picked up until days after we paid, plus the stump wasnt removed until a week later. They have different crews handling different parts of the job. Either way, they were all great & professional.

Professional, timely, communicative, and when they leave the job site it is free of all debris. This is our 3rd job with them, and in 35 years there is no business comparable to these folks. Unbelievably top of 5 star.

The men were all nice and polite and spoke to me. They cleaned and stacked up the tree cuttings as best they could. They told me it would be picked up tomorrow or Thursday. I live in an HOA community and they surely will be keeping an eye on the debris.

NOT!!!! Terrible customer service with the owner -Travis. Payton, office mgr, was not professional gave quotes on a job. She didn t even know what the heck she was talking about. They sent a couple to come do all the work. Jason & Rhi-they were really nice and talked a good game. But then they screwed everything up as well. We ve dealt with leeks for weeks and weeks. It s now just a bunch of dirt again because everything had to be removed so we can get real professionals to come out and create a beautiful pond. That professional will be my husband himself. Travis continues to say we didn t reverse disputed charges we did. So he sits with the money and we sit with nothing. You can see whole story on BBB(Better Business Bureau). I highly encourage you to look for another company for whatever your needs are.

The Southern Turf tree trimming team arrived on time and with all the equipment necessary to complete the job. Brett s team worked efficiently to remove all the long branches from the two Sycamore trees in our yard that had grown out close to our new roof. Travis did an excellent job maneuvering the extended buckle to get close enough to cut limbs off with precision missing the roof and the pool screen. Other members of the team moved the fallen limbs to the curbed parking area in the front of the house. A grapple truck removed all debris within 24 hours as promised. I recommend Southern Turf to handle your tree trimming projects around your house. I could see that Travis and his team took great pride in doing a thorough job. Now we feel are home is more prepared to withstand any bad weather in the future

Excellent! I had a huge Oak tree that I needed to have cut down. Brett came and gave me a very affordable quote, explained in detail the whole process. Two days later Brett and his crew arrived with all of the necessary equipment, they cut down my tree, ground the stump and did some work for my neighbor as well. They even cut some of the wood so I can use it in my fire pit and removed all of the debris. They will be my go to for tree service and highly recommend this company.

Our neighborhood was at a loss for several years on how to repair an area around our lake that was eroding and posing a safety hazard. Southern Turf stepped in with the solution - reasonably priced, too! Ricky was extremely professional and friendly to work with! I have had a few different experiences with tree companies over the years as I moved from North Carolina to Florida. Southern Turf tree services was no doubt the best experience Ive had so far. Other companies Ive dealt with lied about having insurance, and when my window was damaged they were no where to be found and no help at all. Southern Turf has a knowledgeable Arborist, a great tree crew, and the office was on point with scheduling and all of my questions. If I ever need another tree company I know who I will be using!

I contacted Southern Turf at the recommendation of my neighbor. Breanna came out the same day and gave me a very competitive quote to remove two dangerous oak trees leaning toward my home. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained the entire process to my husband and I. The crew showed up on time and got right down to business. They worked together like a well oiled machine. Breanna is extremely knowledgeable about Florida trees and Foliage. She knew exactly what we needed to do to improve the area for the palms and other foliage. Travis and his crew were great to work with. We just moved to Plam Coast and needed some trees trimmed, stump grinding, and brush clearing for a new fence that was needed. Travis was quick to respond for the quote and even faster turn around for the work. We were able to find a fence company that could start the fence within a week but needed everything cleared before. I called Travis and gave him the dates needed and he had a crew onsite within 2 days of providing the quote. Thank you Travis and crew you guys are great!

They destroyed my neighbors concrete culvert in the process of doing some tree work. I have made multiple calls to have them come out & fix it. Weeks later & they still haven t even attempted to come out. I wouldn t recommend this company for anything, they have no respect for their customers or their property.

We just completed a multi step project including bringing down a massive rotted oak hovering over the house. From estimate to implementation, the company and their representatives (we worked with Breanna and various crew members) were courtious, professional, and highly skilled, not to mention patient and friendly with my kids who hooted and hollered while watching from a safe distance. Pricing was competitive. Communication was excellent. Crew was pleasantly responsive to customer needs. Top marks all around. They were recommended to me by neighbors, and Ive since recommended them to my neighbors as well.

Do not waste your money or time with this company. They came to my home and did not finish the job they started. Also left water bottles all over my yard and lied about coming to finish the job. Nothing but excuses after excuses on why they were almost a month behind coming back to finish the job. I called multiple times to confront them about not finishing the job and they just ignored me.

I have not personally used this company yet but I had to jump on here and leave a review. I was at a circle K this morning and saw one of their crews. They were so RESPECTFUL!!! This day and age you don t run into that often. If those boys are that respectful to a random stranger I can only imagine how great they are in the field! Their boss should be proud!

Southern Turf is the most experienced tree company in Volusia County area. I had a giant oak tree on my house they removed it without damaging the house and surrounding areas. Brett and the crew are very professional courteous on time and have all the equipment to do what you need to do. I would rate them 10 stars if I could.
