This is my 3rd year with Rainmaster. There were some brown spots on the lawn (Im sure due to my cutting it too short), and what was done at the start of the season wasnt meeting the lawns need, so Nikolas K was sent earlier than my planned mid-season tyne-up at my request. He was GREAT! I was present when he was here the whole time and he patiently explained everything to my satisfaction AND showed me how to adjust the control box if need be, rather than paying for an added service call (that wouldnt have been covered by my contract.) Nick had been here before and I was happy with his service then and Im very happy with it this year. A wonderful employee to have on board!

I chose to have a lawn consultation done prior to purchasing services with RainMaster. The first interaction was wonderful with Nate Q. He took the time explaining different services that RainMaster provides and asked me discovery questions to get a background on the lawn. Promptly sent over an email with directions on how to sign up for an account in order to move forward to have one of the techs come out. Jacob J. Called and I expressed I thought it was a good idea to do a consult before purchasing services. He took his time explaining the condition of my lawn, I asked some questions and he thoroughly explained them (I now know it s not good to cut at the lowest setting of the mower, 3-4 inch height is what you re looking for). Planning on purchasing services through RainMaster. If the field service work is as good as the sales engagements we ll say this is a 10/10.

Steve came out to do the annual system start up for our sprinkler. He identified some problems with heads and recommended we replace them. He took the time to answer our questions about it, got us a quote quickly, and was even able to come back that same day to fix them. He has been with the company a long time and remembers all of his customers, which was great because he was able to tell us about what the previous owner did and did not do with the lawn over the years. Thanks Steve!

I called in and asked to speak with a service person because our sprinklers were not turning on. Keep in mind that RainMaster was the last to do anything with our system because they closed it in the fall. I wanted to do a quick trouble shoot to see if I missed anything. I was told that is not a service RainMaster provides and that I would have to schedule an appointment and have a tech come out. She was very rude to me on the phone and kept saying they cannot diagnose a problem without being on site, despite me continually telling her that is not what I was looking for but rather to just try and trouble shoot. Very disappointing. I have never experienced this before with a business where they were not willing to talk to you on the phone.

Steve showed up when he said he would. It was raining that day. He still did his job in the rain. He would keep me updated as to what he needed to fix.

Noticed a fantastic improvement every year. Third spring in. We are the only yard on the street without dandelions.

Irra gator completely ignored us. Called up rainmaster to come out and fix the mess up irra gator created. They had an opening the next day. Definitely staying with them for future needs.

Originally, a year ago (2021), things went well. See below. In 2022, the office lady (Grace) remains the stalwart of good service. The field technicians work/serve well, as expected. In fact the technician who did the work, Michael, has been extremely helpful, kind and did very good work. Thank You Grace and Michael! Your 5 stars service elevate the overall rating from one, to three stars! What changed over the past year is the cost. This spring, the bill was $750 to start up with minor, routine fixes (couple of heads replaced and valves, all fully accessible)Total time for the entire service, just below 3 hours. I know, we all are paying more now--for everything, but I can no longer justify the cost of RainMaster services. Again, the people actually working at RM are fine individuals; the owner and his accountants, however, seem not to be aware (or considerate) of the disproportionately increased cost of their services. Last year, 2021: Somewhat of a difficult situation, new controller, installed by a different company. Pump would not start easily. Controller was locked out. Life. The RainMaster guys tried a few times, I chipped in, we problem solved and all is good. So back then, in 2021, I wrote: Strongly recommend them. Good value. Good service. Solid people.

Used Rainmaster to have my 2-year old lawn aerated and over seated. Results of the overseeding is to early to comment on. The two techs were professional and engaged me to understand where I had concerns with my lawn and wanted to know what I was expecting from their service. They talked through their process and took time to follow up before they left to recap the service they completed and what I needed to do to maximize results. I expect to see some growth activity but will judge in Spring the results. Pleased with the quality of the techs. They are a service and nice to see a company with experts who truly provide service.

I didnt know anything about lawn sprinkler systems, so I called them because they had installed the system and had maintenanced it for the prior owner. Their service guy came to the appointment on time to blow out the system and clear it for the winter. He took the time to explain it to me, show me its workings and control, and for the question that I had asked that he didnt have an answer for, he called the office and we both leaned more that day. He was a good guy and I signed up for service to see him in the spring. Money well spent and peace of mind all in one!

Prompt and courteous

This company has been frustrating for the 6 years I have had to deal with them. A few years ago I called them out to fix a problem (ultimately a water hammer issue), they replaced parts, but never fixed the problem. After the problem was never fixed, I called them to return and they ensured me there would be no charge for the call back. They charged me again for a service call. I took nearly 3 months of many phone calls until they finally took the charge off. Now I have been told they are requiring customers to pay for the Spring Turn On to ensure the Fall Blowout. There was never any communication that this was a new policy. They will no longer provide Fall Blowout services. If that is their, policy, so be it, but I was automatically enrolled without being told this was a new policy. We are done with their company and I suggest others follow suit.

Weve used Rainmaster for the last several years. In our previous home which was new construction, they installed a smart irrigation system. Kevin was very knowledgeable about the products and the system worked flawlessly. At our current home, weve gone with Rainmaster for weed control and fertilizer. Adam and his team were fast and courteous and offered several suggestions on what we can do to help our lawn. All in all, I would highly recommend Rainmaster to anyone looking for quality lawn care expertise.

Have added to my irrigation system several times to accommodate the hosta and daylily gardens. Quality work which met my expectations. Very satisfied. Lawn care program keeps the yard in good shape. A few dandelions make their way in but weed free for the most part. Technicians friendly and very competent.

RainMaster did a great job with our lawn and helped to reseed to replace grass our dogs killed over the winter. They call before and show up as scheduled. The professional staff offer suggestions and have done an excellent job helping to restore my lawn.

Update: The new lawn care manager has been more responsive and is going to work through these issues. I guess I ll be hopeful but time will tell.. After using Rainmaster for 3-4 seasons this is what I m left with. A yard still full of crab grass and broken irrigation pipes from improper fall blowouts. Rainmaster is always quick to respond to negative feedback yet continues to make empty promises on corrections and repairs. The best thing they accomplish is billing.

I was surprised at how quickly and efficiently the installation took place. I have rather extensive perennial gardens and they installed the water lines with very minimal damage to the plantings. The gentleman who made the initial contact to give an estimate as well as the guys that came and installed the system were all very professional and pleasant to deal with. At this point I am awaiting the map of where all the lines are located but the initial contact and installation was great.

This is my second year with Rainmaster. Everyone they have sent out has been very knowledgeable, friendly and quick to get to work. I haven t had to touch my system since they started taking care of it. Top Notch!!

They come every Fall to winterize our sprinkler system. The gentlemen who came, was friendly and safe with COVID, by wearing a mask when he talked with me. It was a quick process and little contact. We were then billed online.

Were hopeless at lawn care and weve tried a few lawncare companies in the past, but Rainmaster transformed our thin, weed-infested lawn in just a few months. It was so lush and healthy that we started to feel guilty about not watering it as regularly as we should, so we had them install an irrigation system after a couple of months, as well. When we look out at our lawn now, we wonder (aloud) why we waited so long to contact them.

Excellent company. Ive been here 19 years and Ive never seen my lawn that good after their service.

This was the first season I did a season-long package for regular irrigation maintenance. It was a great investment to know that my system was regularly checked and serviced.

With our street being totally redone, the RainMaster crew helped me with salvage and replacement of the system. Prompt as scheduled and the system was restored. Green grass will appear next spring--as planned.

They came to blow out my irrigation system. There was snow on the ground and I wasnt confident that all of the heads and zones were blown out because of the layer of snow. I contacted the company and was assured that in the event that there was any damage associated with a service they provided, the company would take care of any repairs at their expense. Very happy with their response.
