Had a bad experience with another lawn company last year and decided to find another company. I’m really glad I did as Dirt & Turf have been wonderful. They were recommended to me by one of the older landscaping companies in town. The lawn looks great despite the dry conditions, and any concerns I had during the season were addressed thoroughly and immediately. I highly recommend them!

The first picture is what my lawn looked like prior to using Dirt and Turf, the second picture is what my lawn currently looks like today. We previously used Agritech and decided to give Dirt and Turf a try this year since they were cheaper- well I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. Save yourself the headache and money. I’m out $700+ and my lawn is destroyed. I found it strange that our sprinklers and watering methods were effective under other lawn care services, yet Dirt and Turf was constantly telling us we needed to do things differently. We followed all their advice- bought new sprinklers, changed watering times, all to no avail. You’re better off trying to do the lawn care yourself, anyone can destroy their own lawn. Response to owner’s reply: I posted this review with full pictures of our house and property after you stated that the pictures in my first review were not of my property and that my yard was “never that nice”. (Which you then edited and deleted after me posting this review) I also am not promoting any service, I quite literally said that you are better off doing the lawn services yourself.
I would like to start by saying that I highly recommend you DO NOT use Dirt and Turf. I had the nicest lawn in my neighborhood, and in a matter of a season, Pat and his team turned it to dirt. I have attached photos to show evidence. I switched to Dirt and Turf after my previous lawn care raised prices and D&T was cheaper. I now see that you get what you pay for. Pat and his team have every excuse in the book about why a lawn is not getting optimal results. "More lime, more water, less water, heat wave, change sprinklers, more phosphorous." Along the way I did everything they asked for. I changed watering, paid for applications of lime and phosphorous, and bought new sprinklers. This was all a waste as my lawn continued to look worse. After calling the office several times and speaking to Christine and Susan, I asked to speak to the owner Pat directly. I was told "he's done for the day, he'll call you first thing tomorrow.". Multiple mornings came and went and my phone never rang. After a week I called again to voice my displeasure over the lawn service and asked if Pat could meet me at my house and we could walk the property together. I was told that "Pat doesn't do that." I could only assume that Pat didn't want to face the facts that all the time and money I gave him amounted to terrible results. In conclusion, I would give Dirt and Turf zero stars if I could. Their reviews are padded on Google Review. Look at yelp and you'll see they don't have the same rating. Pat should've stuck to his original career instead of lawn care. If you want your lawn to look like turf instead of dirt, do NOT use them. Pat and his team have inspired me to save the $742.50 I gave him and try doing lawn care myself. I don't think I can do any worse than what he has done. EDIT: Pat claims the photos are of two different properties. I have edited the photos to show my house which I previously blocked in prior photos. More excuses, typical scammer. Notice the pickup truck in the front, that is MY truck and it's in both photos. Only difference is a terrible lawn and a different tree in the front yard. I transplanted the Dogwood in the first photo and planted a Flowering Plum tree. Avoid this company at all cost. I find it funny that I only hear from Pat after I leave a bad review. Pat also claims he was at my house....Then why did I never meet him in person OR why did he press my Ring doorbell camera. There were multiple ways we could have communicated, but I guess face to face or over the phone was never an option.
Dirt & Turf has been amazing. They are a family owned and operated local business with the expertise in managing your lawn. Our last weed service was unable to manage the growth of some tough invasive weeds, but they were no match for Pat and his team of professionals. Thank you for keeping our lawn green and beautiful!!!
Dirt & Turf brought our lawn back from the dead! We tried a number of local lawn companies, but these guys succeeded where all others failed! Note, you must have in-ground sprinklers for the treatments to work! But we now have the most lush, green lawn in the whole development! Here, you can see our lawn next to our neighbor's!

Dirt &Turf has done a great job in getting our lawn looking pretty again. I love the fact they do a soil sample at the beginning of treatment to see exactly what the lawn is lacking. This shows the company takes pride in their customers to get them the lawn they really want. Their prices are also reasonable which is important to the customer.

When we moved into our home two years ago, the lawn was mostly moss, weeds, and dirt. We have sandy soil, so it was hard to get grass to grow. Dirt&Turf did a soil analysis for us, which they sent to a lab at Rutgers. The report told us exactly what our soil needed in order to thrive. Dirt&Turf applied everything we needed along with seed, and now we have a gorgeous lawn. Our neighbors have similar issues we had, and they always stop to ask what we did, so naturally, we recommend Dirt&Turf! Dirt& Turf is the best, and our lawn looks amazing now! Anytime I had a question, Christine was quick to answer and explained everything in a way that made sense to us. Susan in billing was also very helpful! Dirt and Turf has done a great job with our lawn. The first summer we used them, the lawn was transformed from a patchy, weedy mess to what you would call a proper lawn. The difference in the first year was way beyond our expectations. Since then the lawn has looked better and better each year. Definitely would recommend!

I was a new customer this year. My biggest problem was the increasing amount of crabgrass. Dirt and Turf has, in one season, greatly reduced the crabgrass. They are very responsive to my phone calls - they always called me back. They also accommodated me when I needed to change an application. I would definitely recommend them.

However Dirt & Turf had been recommended to us so as to fill in the areas not tended to adequately by the association. They have done a soil analysis & treatment, fertilizer/weed control, lime/potassium/phosphorus treatment. Their office has been very helpful in working with us to obtain a balanced overall treatment plan for our needs.

They have a five phase seasonal schedule that addresses weed and bug control that works for me. They offer other services, such as full lawn seeding, that I may use in the future. This is my fifth season with them and I am very satisfied with the results lawn has improved each year.
The program they provide for someone like me who struggles with keeping up a lawn is a no-brainer. I have neighbors are jealous of the way my lawn looks ALL season long whether wet or drought conditions my lawn remains green with minimal watering. Service is outstanding and environmentally safe.

This was my first year using Diet & Turf and was extremely happy with their service. Once they tested my soil they knew exactly what was needed and my lawn looks excellent. Excellent business. When we moved in, our lawn was probably 70% weeds. It took some time, but Patrick the owner & staff, helped to turn around our lawn & now it is no longer an embarrassment! Patrick is friendly & knowledgeable. If you have an issue, they immediately dispatch a service call. Christine in the office is fantastic too. Always friendly and responsive. Weve been working with Dirt & Turf for several years and have definitely seen an improvement. Its more healthy and thick. When we moved in, the backyard was terrible - lots of moss and sandy soil. We replaced a large section of it, then researched lawn care companies to maintain it. I received several quotes, but D&Ts was fair. They come out several times a year and always email me a few days before they visit. Theyre always prompt and leave no mess. Christine who works in the service dept is very friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to reply to my emails. We are happy with the change in our lawn since hiring D&T!

This place has padded reviews (notice how most are done 3 months ago) if you want the real reviews of them. Go to Yelp. Anyway, I paid hundreds of dollars and my lawn still looked horrible. I contacted them numerous times, and they always had an excuse why it wasnt good. Finally, I just got rid of them. Not to mention you have to look at their bill with a fine tooth comb because they will bill you before services are even done. STAY AWAY

I have had the most difficult time in growing grass in my backyard to the point where I had given up. When I heard about Dirt & Turf from the guy that cuts my lawn I was told that Dirt & Turf do a soil test to find out what needs to be done what the soil is lacking and they treat it accordingly. So being that this was the third company I was using waiting to here Oh theres too much shade or You need to water more or your using the wrong seed I have heard it all... I gave Dirt & Turf a shot. I followed there direction, they fertilized, for the year then did the seed and airation and I waited...and I got grass. Full thick green grass! I dont know how or what they did but my backyard at the end of the season looked awesome. I will continue to follow there program...Hoping if this snow ever goes away that I will see the grass again...
