Stopped by here to brighten our day looking at pretty plants and to find a pot and some soil for an orchid. This was a delightful shop with a very helpful, friendly staff. Their outdoor plant arrangements were so cheerful and perfect for spring. Their plants are some of the healthiest I’ve seen anywhere—robust, vibrant, and clean. They had some less common ones in addition to the standards. Well worth a visit!
We went with Nature’s Cradle for a new backyard plantings project after working with another company for the hardscape (which was a nightmare experience). Bianca was our landscape designer and she was awesome to work with. Super responsive, collaborative and just a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable of plants, seeing our vision and presenting other options if there was anything we weren’t 100% sold on. The final product turned out beautifully. We enjoy the changing interests throughout the seasons and we can’t wait to see everything continue to grow over the years.
First time here. Great place if you're looking for gardening plants & trees. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Small succulent section but I enjoyed browsing through the indoor plants very much. Good price, healthy plants overall.
A wide range of choices and gardening ideas. Helpful assistance can be had from select workers.
Somewhat hidden right across the Eastchester Police Station; its not a large nursery with most plants/flowers on hand; but with a handy & plentiful staff--it's definitively the place to go for seasonal horticulture and for holidays (Halloween, Christmas etc). Slightly more expensive-- but they tend to have hardier stock and construction (i.e Christmas wreaths (pictured are 30" weaths)) than the surrounding area. They're well connected in the surrounding area for any specialty orders.
Incredible selection of pumpkins and gourds, surprisingly reasonable prices, and truly exceptional service. They loaded everything we picked onto a cart, then put it all into our trunk while we were paying - putting down a sheet of plastic first to ensure the car didn't get dirty. Really incredible service coupled with a great selection and reasonable prices - what more could you ask for?
Wide selection of plants, pest repellents, soil amendments, and deals. Very friendly customer service. They even direct you in/out of parking lot. Eli was very helpful in helping me pick out plants to deal with a rodent infestation. They respond to emails and do their best to help. Very knowledgeable too.
I have lived in Westchester for over twenty years and have bought lots of plants and shrubs from every garden center in the neighborhood including Stew Leonard's and the Home Depot. A about 8 years ago, I was driving by Nature's Cradle on Mill road in Eastchester on my way home from work, normally I turn a block sooner but that road was closed for repair, when I saw the sign for their garden center,I drove in. What surprised me immediately was how I was greeted. I had never been there before but I was treated in such a friendly manner, I wondered, did they have me confused with someone else. This is the remarkable way their staff is trained and over the next few months I purchased mulch which I bought by the yard and they delivered it for free! Over the years we hired them to improve the landscaping of our front yard. While our initial plan was to improve our landscaping so that it would increase the marketability when we’d sell our home but after they finished their work, we loved the way our grounds looked, that we decided to stay a few years longer. We were among their first customers to take advantage of their amazing farm cooperative plan . Every week from April through the fall, they deliver a cooler filled with delicious organic vegetables and fruit. They also have additional organic products including milk, cheeses and eggs that you can buy in their store. If you haven’t visited Natures Cradle you are missing out on the most amazing selection of flowers, plants and gorgeous house warming gifts. They also have a dedicated staff of long time employees who go out of their way to assist you. A few weeks ago I decided to expand my garden and I purchased a raised garden bed kit that I was able to assemble without even needed a screwdriver! They not only delivered the kit but also delivered all the soil and supplies that I needed to crest a beautiful garden!
Fantastic selection and very helpful, friendly workers. Prices are higher than Home Depot but worth it
They have a lot to offer for your garden and indoor plants. The staff are friendly, helpful and very very knowledgeable. They can help with what you need and find it for you.
Beautiful nursery and knowledgeable staff.
Ive been here a few times and honestly this place is great. Great selection of plants, have some home made food and the staff is very nice and friendly. Really recommend this place to everyone.
Wide selection of flowers, including beautiful container arrangements. Plants are well tended. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I always enjoy my trips to Natures Cradle.
Its always great to enjoy a welcoming place. They might not have the varieties of plants that other larger Nurseries have, nor a grand showcase of exotic flowers. But, the quality of professional and team of knowledgeable staffs are second to none. Although this is only my opinion, you have to see it in person. They treat you well and communication between the staffs are on point. I believe the leadership is doing something right. Greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Nasty person by the counter
I am torn about this place. I want to like it but they have made too many compromises. This time, I was there because if their ads for decorative Thanksgiving items and imagine my shock when *ALL* their wreaths were plastic. And expensive: from $60 for tiny fake boxwood to $180 and $210 for properly sized but fake (and ugly looking) wreath. In very general terms, Natures Cradle is too expensive. I would kind of understand it if they were adhering to their nature ethos but when they are selling stuff that I would get for half price at Michaels then whats the point?
I have been to this nursery before and it is a great place for my plant needs. And now its where we go for our Christmas tree.
Amazing staff, worker Estovan was very helpful.
Really knowledgable about plants and lawn care. Helpful and willing to special order.
Small operation with friendly staffs. If you have any questions, simply ask.
Very diverse in variety of plants and planting needs and necessities
The staff here is incredibly helpful with finding the plants you are looking for. Its always a pleasure shopping at Natures Cradle
Nice small business with plenty of knowledge. Willing to help, they dont hover.
Great selection and helpful employees.
Very healthy plants. Very helpful service P.
Staff was nice and great selection of plants!
Great resource, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful
Their customer service is terrible and our tree died after 4 days. If I could rate them 0 stars, I would. They even admitted to having more problems like this. And the 2 men Kenny and Patrick are both extremely rude and need to take a lesson in customer service 101.
Staff is kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. They know their stuff and customer service is impeccable. I promise you won t regret choosing them!
The staff that performed the services on my property were great. However, I m giving this business a 3 for lack of communication since we felt ripped off. We turned to you for help with our lawn. Instead we were surprised with a bill of almost $1700 for an invoice that wasn t even thoroughly explained. I m hoping not to ever need your services, but this is definitely not a good impression! The person who recommended your business is shocked at the ambush as well. Trust me, the word will spread quick.
Nice place knowledgeable staff friendly cat
Great selection of in season plants and flowers. The sales people goes way out to help customers to recommend and to choose plants. We ended up buying quite a few perennials and could not be happier with the selection. Parking is an issue for the store as they have 4 places near the store.
Eli was very knowledgeable and Recommend for sure to all friends and family.
awesome people n place. all of em.
I purchased over $600 worth of plants and paid $300 additional To make sure the plantings where done properly. After 2 mos all the plants died. Patrick the owner came by looked at the garden and said there was nothing he could do. I would not use them again,
This is a great place to buy organic seedlings. The other great reason to shop here is Al Krautter, Westchester guru of all things organic.
Such a welcoming place. Staff was willing to answer all my questions. I had a lot of them. Definitely a place I would recommend everyone visit. Loved their furry buddies walking around too.
EXCELLENT place. Been getting my Christmas trees from there for over 20 years.
Wonderful good and professional personal
Wonderful assortment of healthy and well maintained plants and shrubs. Very good quality and helpful knowledgeable staff
We needed a sugar pumpkin and they had it! Helpful!
Beautiful plants, pricey but good quality items
The y are knowledgeable and very helpful. I love looking at their well cared for healthy plants.
I am an AVID gardener. Over the last 15 years, I have shopped at ALL the local southern Westchester nurserys. Heres my long overdue review of this Jewel of a Nursery. Patrick , his family, and assistants are all Very knowledgeable and helpful. Rarely does one meet such honest, hard working and friendly business staff. I have been a customer for over 5 years and i hope to be visiting NC for many more enjoyable and productive years to come. Btw, if you have any question, technical or otherwise, ask Mike. He is truly a garden Savant, and a heck of a nice guy. If i could give 6 stars , i would give it to Patrick and his wonderful work staff.
Get my terrace done using them every year. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great place Brendan Dwyer is a class act
Getting our Christmas tree was easy and they were very helpful BUT they told us the price of our tree at first was 165 but after my mom said she was not totally thrilled with the tree they lowered it to 140. Not sure if they broke even or if theyll make a profit off of the tree.
Only nursery that my flowers and plants didnt die.
Great friendly service, authentic home-made crafts, great location.
Wonderful staff! Wide range of products and services. Many hand made gifts. You find stuff you didnt know you wanted and they have it. There is many nurseries in my area but Natures cradle is the one I trust.
Everything is pricey but the flower baskets this place sells are far better than the nearby other nursery, Coopers Corner. Natures cradle also has great flower bags, they bloom beautifully, far better than the hanging flower pots I purchased from Coopers Corner. This place does something that is rare, they have an attendant out on Mill Road to help direct traffic and make it easy for people to park and exit from their lot. They do this during peak season in the Spring and I appreciated it a lot.
Patrick, It is with regret that I must write this review of my interaction with you on Thursday June, 13th, 2013 at your Nursery Natures Cradle . I stopped by your nursery in regards to a very lovely hanging plant with small blue blooms that I had purchased on May 24th, 2013. When I purchased the plant I was told not to put it in direct sun. I followed the instruction I was given by a member of your staff, but still had a problem with the plant. I explained to you that I was upset that I only had the plant a short period of time and it was already on its way out. You proceeded to let me know that you do not have a return policy on plants, and you commented if I did that I would go out of business even though it cost me $27.50 plus tax. I was very disappointed in the way you handled the situation walking away from me as I was conversing with you. I then left the nursery to go and get the plant so that you could take a look at it and maybe inform me of why the plant was dying. When I returned to your nursery 2 hours later and asked for you, I was told by your staff that you were in a meeting and could not be disturbed. I then left my name and mobile number with a member of your staff and asked that they have you call me with an explanation of why you thought the plant was dying. I never heard from you!!!!! I have spent over $1000.00 in your nursery since the start of the season and have been patronizing your business for years. I feel that your actions toward me as a customer were very disrespectful and displayed your lack of knowledge of how to treat customers. You not only lost my business over a $27.50 plant, but will lose the person who recommended me to you, and the two people who recommended her. I do suggest that you consider taking a course in Customer Service 101. Keep in mind that , The Customer is Always Right . Sincerely, Greg!!!!!!
I am a professional floral designer. I know that the shrubs and the live flowers and arrangements at Natures Cradle are some of the best around. The staff is very experienced. They know their stuff and are willing to give advice, not only on plant health, but on how to arrange beautiful planters. They designed an edible garden in my backyard; turning a large rocky area into a very productive garden. I hear they will be teaming up with an organic farm cooperative in Lancaster PA to offer home delivered organic produce and wholesale prices!
