Called them out with the intent of hiring them to re-landscape our yard, and they promised a full design and quote... but first, they needed to do an expensive "yard cleanup" so they could "see what they were working with." They did that (and admittedly did a pretty good job of it), but then completely disappeared, unresponsive to phone calls or texts for weeks. Seems like a bait-and-switch to sell an overpriced cleanup (that was easily 2-3x the cost it wold've been elsewhere) and we've wasted a month. Not impressed.
We had an amazing experience with Paramount. Steve and his staff did excellent work in our backyard and front garden bed. Steve is very communicative, transparent, and pleasant to work with. They followed up on every item we asked to have addressed, and were very detail oriented in their implementation. It was a significant job of carving out old asphalt and completely reworking our backyard with a patio, sod, trees, and setting up irrigation. The pricing is fair and they routinely follow up to check on the growth of the trees and sod. Steve was checking in with me frequently, and we felt great about the pace of progress and the end result. He and Javier are collectively very knowledgeable in their field and offer great suggestions along the way. The crew was very careful in cleaning up any waste and leaving the yard clear of debris. I would highly recommend their services! Please note the before (left) after photo (right). The backyard was a wasteland of weeds and now we have a great usable space.
Steve and Javier did an incredible job on our lawn. We decided to rip up our entire lawn to level it out and start over and they left it in immaculate condition. Apart from just doing a great job, they are always willing to offer great pieces of advice on how we should take care of the lawn and other smaller projects that we can do to make our landscaping look great. We are definitely going to use them for our lawn maintenance since they are great professionals and, more importantly, great people. I 100% recommend Paramount.
Paramount Landscaping did a great job renewing and expanding the concrete on the side of my house and allowing us a perfect space to spend with my family. Steve & Javier and the Paramount Landscaping team are my go-to for any landscaping or home maintenance work. They completely remodeled and renovated our backyard and they listened to us every step of the way. During the design phase, Javier came up with ideas we hadn't even considered and the end result exceeded our expectations. Both Steve and Javier are knowledgeable and their work ethic is second to none. I had sod installed just last week and Steve made it his priority to come and install it himself although his crew was busy doing other jobs. That is the definition of terrific customer service. Since it is later on in the year and a little late to install sod, Steve has reached out with my own watering schedule and has stopped by numerous times to ensure that it grows properly. They even stopped by and gave my wife a poinsettia plant for the holidays. These guys are terrific. They have my business for life for sure.
Steve and Javier are both very professional. They removed a tree and prepared and laid down new sod in my backyard while also removing an old wooden shed and replacing the concrete pad underneath it. I now use them to maintain my entire property. Definitely would recommend them to anyone.
I just moved into my new home innrutherford New Jersey. My yard need major help. I found these amazing guys. They are truly hard workers!!!!! The results were outstanding. My family couldn’t believe how wonderful our yard become. They are true visionaries. If they have an idea for decorating take it! They are true at there art! Can’t wait for next spring to hire them again to improve my yard even more! Best lawn guy find!!! Highly recommend them!
Paramount Landscaping helped us turn our barren and ugly front yard into a lush and beautiful lawn that we can be proud of. They were very attentive and handled all our concerns to satisfaction. I would certainly recommend them and use them again.
They are patient and knowledgeable. We whent from a dead yard to a beautiful landscape art piece, to the point our neighbors said well looks like its time for us to upgrade our yard lol. They took the time and explained what will work and what wont, and gave us quality plants. To me the biggest part was them being honest and telling us what they stand behind and letting us know where they would not recommend us doing certain changes. Also there price was the best compared to others.
Professional job. Done within a week. New plants, flowers, small tree and boxwoods installed. Gave them our ideas and they came up with a nice design. Looks great. Would use again.

We started with Paramount when they first began their business--we are so lucky we found them on Craigslist. We were very unhappy with our prior landscaping service as they did whatever they wanted not what we wanted. Every year without fail, they lowered their blades on their mowers and stripped our grass from our soil. We had to give up on them and our search led us to Steve and Xavier of Paramount. We are so pleased we met each other The best thing about Paramount is they communicate with you. Other services you must leave a message and no one gets back to you in a timely manner. These guys are responsible and follow directions. Just give them a call and see the great job they do.
A long time Bergen County rooted resident we ve had our fair share of landscapers big and small since home construction almost 40 years ago. We particularly appreciate working with Paramount of East Rutherford. They are a young, sincere, hard working, no-overhead, family based small core team doing everything from estimating, billing, material sourcing, customer interaction, equipment managing .. by themselves. All to be able to deliver excellent finished work for a reasonable price. The past few years we ve watched them grow simply by word of mouth. Little surprise since they go the extra mile. Like investing the time and cost of visiting scores of nurseries, drawing up pictorial plans, suggesting plants and working to accommodate customers who research their own preferences. I m sure they will thrive as their landscape shrubs and plants.
Excellent service, Steve is very professional and very polite. He listens to your wants and concerns, then performs great work. Prices are very reasonable, quality of work is top notch, and he cares and pays attention to detail which is hard to come by these days.
