New Leaf Landscaping in Durham

We contracted New Leaf Landscaping to built a retaining wall and install a drainage system through our back yard. Our designer, Sean, was intelligent, professional, and easy to get ahold of throughout the course of the project, and the crew was quick, efficient, attentive, and went above and beyond in terms of what was expected of them. The finished product is better than my wife and I could have ever imagined. I highly recommend this organization to anyone who needs landscaping or hardscaping done on their property!

From start to finish, our experience with New Leaf was outstanding. In the planning phase, Sean was always gracious to quickly respond to my MANY questions. His approach was not pushy, but rather very helpful and supplemental to our own vision for our patio space. During the execution phase, Sean was present to discuss details along the way and the crew worked hard to deliver the project just as planned. The crew went the extra mile to add a few small details that we hadn’t even planned (e.g., mulch under a set of steps and hay spread over some exposed dirt to minimize weed growth until we can lay sod next spring). I don’t think any hardscaping/landscaping is cheap, so I would just say that we got a great final product for what we invested. I would recommend and will use New Leaf myself again in the future. I really felt like they partnered with us rather than simply delivering a product. Kudos!!

Pleased with their work until they ghosted us (and a neighbor). Last year (2022) New Leaf did some work for a neighbor, who was pleased with the work and recommended them to us. In the fall we had New Leaf do some work for us (flagstones, stone border, design and plantings) and were also pleased with their work. This spring we wanted to have them do some additional work, and were communicating via e-mail to receive a quote. Suddenly all communication stopped and they no longer responded to e-mails or phone calls. Our neighbor also tried to contact them to have some additional work done and never received a response.

We wanted to share how pleased we are with the landscaping job, which was recently completed at our home. Sean, whose design completely mirrored our vision, was accessible to answer any questions we had at each stage of the project's implementation. The backyard side area, which included hardscaping, showed wonderful artistry and skill on the part of the crew. The entire team was prompt, considerate and exemplified professionalism from the project's start to its completion. Scheduled a consult with them for Tuesday afternoon and adjusted my work schedule so I could be home. Noone showed up for the appointment or even called to reschedule. This after I'd already had to send a follow-up email after not getting a response to an earlier inquiry. I have not heard from them since. I did not appreciate having my time wasted! Taking my business elsewhere.

Sean Anderson with New Leaf designed a patio and retaining walls for my property, which has an erosion issue. He did a great job and his crew were real craftsmen. I was so impressed by their work and their attention to doing things right. They were hardworking and professional, cleaned up daily, and created a beautiful stone patio that I love. Thank you, New Leaf, for an overall excellent job.

They did a good job on the installation, however the rhodedendrans they planted after 10 years still have not grown. Their maintenance program was far too expensive for a family on a fixed income.

We LOVE New Leaf! Rick and Whitney are tops, of course, but all the others are so skillful, friendly, and obliging that we would have no other. Trust them to do the best! Dallas and Donna Stallings
