We had a bizarre experience with Martinez Brothers NC Landscaping. Initially, we contacted multiple contractors, and they were the only ones who responded. Everything was great: we scheduled the on-site visit, and David Martinez came to our house as planned. We discussed the project we needed help with, and he promised to send an estimate when he returned. Then, things fell through from there. After waiting for one day, we texted David and asked for an update. No yet Im working on it. That was the last response we ever heard from him. That happened on Feb 9. We tried multiple times to reach him, but we were ghosted. I give them 1 star for their initial response, but the MIA commutation was annoying.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. They began doing lawn service for me one year ago, and around the fall/winter stopped showing up. However, I kept on getting invoices for services. I have reached out multiple times to resolve the issue and can barely get them to respond. After calling them (again), I received an invoice for the month of April. My lawn is completely overgrown. I still cannot get a response from David or his company. I had assumed there had been a mix up, but after months of trying to resolve with no luck I will no longer be using their service.

These guys are top tier hardscape and landscapers. They helped with design and made the process an easy one! I definitely recommend

This is the second time I have used Davids group. He has always been responsive, helpful and trustworthy. I referred him to a friend and he did a great job for them as well. I would recommend Martinez Brothers for any landscaping needs.

The problem: the back of our yard is lower than all the homes behind and beside us. Annd the soil is mostly clay. So we get rushing water that has and continues to erode the top soil; also the back and side yards remain saturated with water for days, making our beautiful yard unusable. David Martinez s crew installed French drains in multiple locations in the back yard and on both sides of the house, down to the road curb. They were quick, hard working and cleaned up very well, so you don t notice all the digging they did. I am very happy with their excellent work. I highly recommend Martinez Brothers for any landscaping work.

Martinez Brothers NC Landscaping did an excellent job on our yard. They mulched, trimmed hedges, pulled out old plants. They started at 8:30 AM and worked until almost 7 PM until the work was completed. Everything looked neat and clean when they finished and the workers were very polite. I felt the price was reasonable.

Their work is solid and their charge is reasonable.

David and his crew were timely and professional. They worked quickly and efficiently while also doing quality work. We had a walkway that had poor pitch and collected water when it rained. David and his team removed the old walkway, re-graded the area to establish a pitch that would result in proper drainage, and installed new pavers. No more puddle when it rains. I would use Martinez Brothers again for other projects.

David and his crew built two retaining walls, did some drainage and grading work for us. When I tell you these guys are the truth you better believe it! They exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Their finished product is very high quality and we are beyond happy we chose them for this project!

True professional landscaping!

This review isn t about a new beautiful walkway, patio or support wall to enhance the look of your home. But this is how the Martinez Brothers (David and Mauricio) fixed my home from a sinkhole, that was ten (10) feet from my home s foundation and ran along the side of my home!! I am cutting out a lot of the back story and other design and approval phases. Just Keep in mind there is a lot of time needed to get that done and I do not have any experience in storm waterway management nor engineering. Also its important to note, I got various possible problems from contractors and government agency that I interviewed. Frankly, I was very stressed because this entire cost and responsibility was on me. And I did not expect to be responsible for a storm drain running along the side of my house and I am sure there are many other homeowners that don t expect to either. As soon as I got approval from my HOA, the contractor I had originally interviewed and chosen for the job, did not call me back to accept the job and start work. The other contractors were not a good fit. More stress. I found the Martinez Brothers (David and Mauricio) on Google and they had a five star rating. I reached out to them not knowing if they would accept this type of project. On my first meeting with David, I was impressed with David because he knew the cost of materials and he negotiated an hourly rate for labor. He gave me a price that was inline with the other quotes I received. He also ensured me that with the hourly labor rate that I would get quality work. Because there was not a clear solution to the problem, that Insurance was important to me. Mauricio, on the first day on site, was honest about being unsure how the sink hole got created but he found a major problem that absolutely had to be fixed which added additional cost to the project. David and Mauricio were professional in their communications with me. They frequently reached out to make sure I was OK with the project progress and changes. They started the job on a date they agreed to and started each day on time. Because they found a structural problem, we had to add two additional days to the project, which I completely agree was the right thing to due. And they were concerned with quality of materials, and the design solution. For example, David offered me choices throughout the project to improve the quality and longevity of the work that I hadn t thought of. For example, he suggested re-enforcement of the sides of the trance. One time David brought back one of the materials to the store because the quality was not at the level he needed and expected. I wish I could add pictures to allow you to see the magnitude of this type of job. David may still have them if you want to see the type of quality. 5 Stars For Both of Them! I would give them 10 Stars if I could!!!

David got the work done as promised and on time. Only downside was that the work crew only spoke Spanish and David wasn t there all the time, so if we needed to talk to each other it was difficult. They put in a patio, installed sod, mulched the beds and planted some monkey grass. All of the work was really great!

The Martinez Brothers did a fantastic job leveling our yard for our pool. They put it up and made sure everything was perfect and called the next day to make sure we were happy and we really are happy. We will be using them again. We highly recommend them. Thanks Martinez brothers!

David, his brother and the crew came to the house to create a drainage system. David came once to measure and give a pricing. A week later, the team was at the house digging and creating a great solution for us. I was expecting them to only create a drainage, but they reseeded where needed, left the yard in a great state. He showed on time,was clear what he would do and delivered exactly what my wife and I dreamed of. David is truly a perfectionist in both details and results. I have used 3 different landscaping apps that are connected to large corporations over the past 4 years with marginal results and minimum attention to my property. David installed stone around gardens and trees. He added a tree to our yard to balance out a flower bed. His crew installed a french drain on the side of my property that finally ended the drainage nightmare on the side of our home. David and his amazing team did an incredible job on our yard. Not only is David a meticulous contractor who does impeccable work, but his team is incredibly hardworking and worked from dawn until dusk each day until our yard was done. They created a beautiful, large patio for us, expanded the sides of our driveway, mulched, walled, and filled our front bed with plants, and they built a retaining wall and mulched our front tree. It was all done with incredible care, each level of soil/sand/pavers perfectly measured and each paver carefully placed. The design on our patio was also beautiful and we immediately received compliments from neighbors! His team never looked tired or frustrated, even when digging through clay and rock, and when hours seemed long and it would have been easy to cut corners, they never once chose to do so. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a hardworking, timely, reliable contractor and a trustworthy crew!

Great experience getting a French drain install for an affordable price!

Marines Brothers did an awesome job completing my walkway. The walkway is very meticulous with noticeable detail. The staff was friendly yet professional.

David and his team are AWESOME!! They are super hardworking and went over and above for a very reasonable price. They removed and transplanted shrubs, pruned trees, installed new sod, created garden beds and installed additional irrigation and fixed problems with the existing irrigation. They now also do my weekly cutting. Im very happy with Martinez Landscaping and highly recommend them.

We hired David Martinez and his brothers to remove a giant stump that remained in our backyard after the large maple tree was removed because the stump grinder wouldn t fit through the gate. It was a bear of a stump but they did an exceptionally good job of removing it with axes and a chain saw. The entire backyard had roots from this tree all over it and they had to spend a day getting the stump and all the roots out so they could use their rototiller. They worked from 8 AM to 6:15 PM!! They came back the next morning with the compost and sod. The backyard looked gorgeous when they finished. They were so pleasant, prompt, professional, on time & listened to us throughout the process. Also, their price was very fair. They worked together so well as a group. I would hire them again and am so happy to refer them. So happy that we used the Martinez Brothers!!! Pam

In addition to maintaining my lawn, Martínez Brothers did a small retaining wall, raised beds and gravel for a large garden behind my house. They were very quick for such a large project and the work they did is absolutely beautiful. Can t recommend them enough!

David and his crew did a beautiful job resodding my backyard. We had a delay due to a shortage of the composted top soil but he completed the work as soon as the soil became available. He also thinned out some large trees to allow more sun to reach the Bermuda sod which has helped the grass get a good start. I highly recommend Martinez Brothers.

Martinez Brothers did an amazing job of our walkway and fire pit area- We could not be happier! Not only did they do a great job of the brickwork, they had to move irrigation components and drains as well. Extremely professional and did a great job of cleaning up when finished (which is not always the case with some contractors). I had David and his awesome team complete a hardscaping project for my home. David s professionalism was amazing. The project was completed flawlessly, and the finished product is very high quality!

Our yard was a total disaster and Martinez Brothers came in and totally transformed it in 3 days into the backyard oasis of my dreams! After a back porch addition and pool installation, the entire yard was churned up mud and clay. There was no grass left and the flowerbeds had been reduced to partially dug up and dying plants. Our irrigation system was also destroyed and an excavator had left a deep path from the street to the back yard. To top it off, we finished these (Covid-delayed) projects with only 3 days to spare before hosting a graduation party! David and his crew worked very long days, regrading the entire yard, installing new irrigation lines, and sodding. They installed a gorgeous flagstone walkway from the front to the back. They worked the flowerbeds and weeded, replanted, and mulched everything. Honestly, if they saw it needed done, they did it. No shortcuts with these guys! It was truly as if they were caring for their own yards and really wanted everything perfect and happy for the upcoming party. I couldnt ask for more. And I would never call another company as long as I can have these guys. They are the BEST.

David and his crew at Martinez Brothers Landscaping transformed our back patio & eliminated our backyard swamp! For our backyard project: The pavers that we originally selected continued to be on backorder, through no fault of Davids, so he came to us with other options so that we could get our patio project moving. They took up the 10x12 concrete pad that came with the house and expanded our backyard patio to 16x24 with pavers. Additionally, our yard slopes down next to our AC unit, so they built us a nice cedar flower bed so that we wouldnt have to edge/mow in between the patio and our fence. For our French drain: Martinez Brothers also installed a French drain in our back and side yard to address poor drainage and standing water. Weve had the French drain now for ~6 months and have not had any issues at all with drainage/standing water since! We highly recommend David and Martinez Brothers Landscaping! They are professional and hard-working guys. He came to our house several times to discuss our project and go over ideas before we started. Pricing seemed very fair and reasonable compared to other quotes we got. We will certainly use them again for any future landscape or hardscape projects. (Note: the pavilion structure pictured was not done by Martinez Brothers. It was purchased and put together by my husband/friends, though David did offer to put it together for us.)

We hired Martinez Brothers to upgrade our patio and add a walkway. We had contacted multiple vendors before finding them. David was the most responsive vendor - he came out two days after we contacted him. He was also the most helpful in helping us think through how to design the patio. They got to work really quickly and were very professional. The end result looks great. They didnt cut corners and in fact, went above and beyond to suggest ways of making the project better even if it meant more time. Id highly recommend them for their workmanship, professionalism, and value.

Working with David and his team was great! I wasnt sure what I was looking for at the time but knew I wanted some hardscaping within the backyard. After meeting with David and going over some booklets of material options, David outlined the backyard with some spray paint and I was easily able to capture pictures to get HOA approval, especially since the materials all had specs readily available online through the manufacturers website. Pricing was transparent, excellent quality of work...and not pictured are the French drains installed beneath the patio!

I would highly recommend David and his crew. They put in an irrigation system in the swale between my house and my neighbor s which has fixed a big water run off problem. He analyzed the situation , worked with our community s management effectively , and did the work efficiently. He was neat, and fast. My neighbor across the street then hired David to solve the same problem in his swale.
