Summer or winter, Greg has been responsive and he always lets me know when he can work a job into the schedule -- gardening, irrigation, snowplowing, etc. When my mom was snowed in, he let me know when he could get the roadway accessible again, and he stuck to his schedule no matter how long his days were. I recently hired On the Island Landscaping and I was blown away by their work. From the initial consultation to the final touches, Greg and his team were professional, and really listened to what I wanted. I was impressed by their attention to detail, and they transformed my yard into a beautiful oasis in a timely manner. They exceeded my expectations and I couldnt be happier with the end result!

Greg was pleasant when we first met but his quote on trimming my hedge was very high. I ve been paying about $500 - $650 for several years and Greg s quote was $2100. We ve since found a very experienced trimmer, very well-known in Cowichan, and his price is $600. Oddly too, my neighbour who met with us and wanted to pay for his side of the hedge and who also has a second hedge that he wanted trimmed by Greg never received a quote.

Dealing with On The Island Landscaping was great. Greg and his crew transformed our front yard to give it more curb appeal. They were diligent, always on time, efficient and excellent at communicating the upcoming progress of the project. We would highly recommend Greg and On The Island Landscaping. We had On the Island Landscaping overhaul 3 flower beds for us. They removed old plantings, edged a new shape for the beds, and brought in the many yards of top soil required to make them ready to plant. They were prompt, did exactly what they quoted on and when the work was all done cleaned up the area where the top soil had been dumped to leave everything clean. We were pleased with the service and work done and will definitely have them back to do further work for us.

I highly recommend this company. Greg did an awesome job at preparing our new garden area. He is a hard worker. Starting from scratch, he removed the sod, installed the fence posts (30 of them!) and dug/moved the soil as per our needs. All of this despite a ground that was challenging to work with (there was lots of rocks). He achieved exactly what we wanted! He always showed up on time and worked very long days. His quote was quite accurate and his pricing extremely fair. The quality of his work is excellent. We are very satisfied and would hire him back anytime. Thank you very much Greg!

Hedge trimmed and looks great! Reasonable price as well.

Greg was hired to plant some laurels for a hedge. He was there when he said he would be there and did a good job of planting the hedge plants. We were pleased with his work.

Greg and his team were contracted to remove existing grass and replace with new sod. We found their willingness to work hard to finish the job in a professional manner to be A-1. The product supplied comes from the Island and appears to be in great shape. We are definitely looking forward to a new rear garden, and would happily and highly recommend Greg and his team!

Greg removed our old gravel and weeds up a pathway and replaced the old gravel with cart gravel and sprayed it to keep the weeds out. It looks just great now...neat and tidy! I am very pleased.

Had Greg do a general garden/lawn maintenance/tidy-up/de-weed, refresh a gravel area and do some trimming/pruning of hedges and a tree and are happy with everything. Greg works hard, is easy to communicate with and delivered what we were looking for. What else can you ask for?

He offered a number of options with clear pricing, which was all very reasonable, especially on the delivery and planting. He arrived at the time promised, did beautiful job, and left the site clean. GREG is a very hard worker. He transplanted trees , cut hedges and reassembled my garden area (which was not a fun job) His pricing is extremely fair. He was fast and efficient. It was a breath of fresh air to finally hire someone who is honest and knows what they are doing. The zucchini relish, the raspberry-rhubarb jam and the spicy beets were delicious! Cant wait to try more of the locally grown products from On the Island Nursery!

We devoured our jam from here - it was SOOOO good! When I went looking for more, I was so pleased to be able to order online - and get a discount for buying multiples and try new products too. So happy to have found this and have then close by for all my canning goods!

Had a large plum tree fall onto my neighbours lawn. Contacted Greg to see if and when he could come and remove it. He was here within a couple of hours and did a super job of cutting it up and removing the debris. His price was excellent as was his work. Would recommend him highly.
