I called to get a quote for service. I received the estimate from Nick Roth, and the next week came home to a sign in my yard saying the yard had been serviced. I called Nick Roth and told him I didn't request service. He said he sent me a welcome email and that the recording of our phone call backs up his argument that I wanted service. The email subject line says VA Green Quote and Map. And is clearly not a welcome email as it doesn't communicate anything about starting service. And the phone recording clearly ends with me needing more information before any service was started. After receiving bills in the mail, I called and spoke with Matthew Farrell who agreed with me that I didn't request service. Matthew continued to follow up with me to start service and I never responded. Later I would receive a collections letter in the mail because Virginia Green sent me to collections for a service that I never requested. Which is wild. I continued to call Virginia Green every time I received a bill or a collection notice. Finally, I was connected to someone in the Richmond office who told me that she would look into my interaction with Matthew Farrell, but clearly wanted to rush me off the phone. I haven't heard back from her, and it has been over two weeks. I'll be sure to share this story with everyone I know looking for lawn service. This is not how you do business.
This is our 3rd year working with Virginia Green and we are quite pleased. We are still struggling to overcome the poor "soil" that the builder provided us in our new construction. The shale has been quite a battle. Due to the amount of rain and high temps in May, we noticed a little disease in our lawn. I sent an email, V/G called me promptly and was out soon after to diagnose and apply a fungicide. After every application, the technician gives us a detailed report of conditions, what was applied and recommendations going forward. We look forward to working with Virginia Green for a long time.
After trying several other companies, we switched to Virginia Green about a year ago. Our yard now looks better than it ever has! It’s lush and green and free of weeds. Virginia Green repeatedly walks the yard with me to discuss what it needs and I feel like they care about my yard as much I do. I couldn’t be happier with their service.
Our lawn looks the best it has ever looked thanks the Virginia Green! It is very lush, green and weed free! We have tried several other lawn services and always have issues with weeds still on our lawn by mid summer but not anymore with Virginia Green treating our lawn! I highly recommend them!
The treatments we have received from Virginia Green have improved our lawn immensely. Each time they visit I receive a detailed report on what they did and what I should do to enhance the results of the treatment. Extremely pleased with their service.
Virginia Green revived our lawn. It was full of weeds, bald spots and sad looking sprouts. Now it is full, lush and green. The techs are wonderful and professional, always sharing excellent advice. Ordering only the services we need online is very convenient. Prices are excellent. Highly recommend as our neighbor originally recommended to us.
Used Virginia Green for 3 years. My lawn actually got worse each year. Numerous dead spots and moss growing in the backyard. Every time they came out they told me something different I needed to do. If I wanted the moss gone I could pay extra for Lime or a fungicide treatment. On a side note, they are very responsive, so I give them bonus points for that, but, sadly since my grass looks bad I have to give them a low rating.
We have been very happy with Virginia Green. They are professional and thorough and reasonably priced. I especially appreciate the kindness of their techs. Angel Hernandez has been a joy to work with. Very considerate of our needs and the safety of our dog. We have used other companies that would forget to close our gate every time and not tell us when they arrived so we could make sure our dog was inside. Our lawn looks great and we are no longer battling bag worms and bugs in our trees and shrubs.
Angel Hernandez was extremely professional and knowledgeable with his service. He took his time to explain in detail, how he was going to treat the mosquito spray. Angel is great example of excellent customer service!!! Thank you Angel.

This is embarrassing million dollar house and this is the results of using them paid for everything up front and it s not even summer yet can t wait to see dead grass update they came in on time the manager and found out the problem Very professinal!
Excellent service. Weve had Virginia Green for about 4 seasons. Our lawn has improved and the grass has thickened and filled in wherever there were bare patches.

Been a customer for over 15 years at two different homes. My front yard is now 50% Poa trivialis (an invasive weed). Had the entire yard re-sodded and have only used their grass seed for the past 7 years. They now say its just something that happens and theres nothing they can do but spray it and kill the weed along with the surrounding grass. So spending over $1000 a year to feed weeds. They created the problem with their bad seeds and now wont take accountability or provide anything other than over-the-phone diagnoses and solutions. As a fact check: Due to the size of the seeds, Poa trivialis cannot be removed in the screening process that normally removes unwanted seeds and has contaminated a large portion of grass seed shade blends. The seed is also often missed during visual seed quality testing due to its similarity to the seeds of perennial bluegrass. For these reasons it has become a common contaminant in shade grass seed blends and is likely to remain so for the foreseeable future.
These guys are the best!! They bought bio green about a year ago and I was concerned that the level of service and overall quality of my lawn would decline. I couldn t have been more wrong. I live in Brambleton and the HOA provides a lawn service as part of the HOA fees. I was pleased to have my lawn mowed, but unfortunately the care stopped there. Mowing the lawn too short often resulted in dead grass despite regular watering. Additionally, because the mowers were used in various areas, I was constantly fighting weeds and other problems as a result of seed/insect transfer. After researching the many companies, I chose Virginia Green for the customer satisfaction and reputation. After evaluating the lawn and providing recommendations, a yard health report told me what would be needed to repair my yard. Danielle, from the Virginia Green Dulles office, was invaluable in finding the right service regimen. I cant say enough about how pleasant she is. I will never look back. I am so pleased with the knowledge, timeliness and responsiveness of Tyrell, who seems to genuinely care about the health of my lawn. He is assigned to my yard/ landscape service care. Virginia Green assigns a technician to oversee the continuous care to ensure familiarity with the property owner and the property. He does both the perimeter care and lawn service. He cares that I am happy and is willing to answer questions about problems that I may encounter. after every service I receive a service report and a recommendation on any issues that may be present. My lawn has such vibrant color, even in the winter! Virginia Green has saved my lawn and made it the healthiest looking yard in the neighborhood.
My yard was a mess. After years of DIY, I finally called in the pros at Virginia Green. They did a great job and now I have a beautiful yard. I walk around our development and see signs from competitors in yards that are overgrown with weeds and dead grass. It is almost as if they are advertising for companies NOT to use. The Virginia Green sign in my yard is getting a lot of attention as I am constantly asked by friends and neighbors how the yard looks so much better than it did in prior years. Call Virginia Green- you will be glad you did. They know the business and know how to work with customers. I like dealing with a company that does what it says and delivers results, not excuses.
Do not use these guys. They killed our lawn. As a way to try and make it right they offered us free bush/shrub treatments. After receiving a bill for the treatments they gave us for free, we cancelled our service. Took weeks to get a refund and they still owe us $80 for the treatments that were on the house. I would never recommend these guys.
I m extremely impressed with Virginia Green so far, and can t wait to have a beautiful green yard! Their employees are courteous and professional, answering all of my questions and making recommendations based on my yard s specific needs. Their customer service has far exceeded that of other lawn care companies we ve talked to - quick and knowledgeable response every time. If their reputation in Richmond is any indication, NoVa is fortunate to have Virginia Green as an option! Highly recommend giving them an opportunity to earn your business.

I cannot say enough positive things about the service provided to me this year by Virginia Green. This was my first year using the service, and I am blown away by the difference in the yard and the reduction of the weeds. My service person treated the yard as his own. High recommend!
After wasting hundreds of dollars for YEARS with Tru Green, Dulles VA, and WEEDMan, I was with WeedMan for 1.5 years. I did all the extra services and still zero results that actually made a difference. Then switched to TruGreen did the extra services and made a bit of a difference but the weeds came back EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I knew it would take a while but not a whole 2 years almost! Signed up with VA green, I swear my lawn made a total 360 degree turn within 4 months of using VA Green s services! No more annoying insects, weeds, crab grass, my grass is finally that picture perfect lawn that everyone dreams about! Wes is a true savior of lawns!
