Im very impressed by Grasshopper. They have certainly improved the look tenfold of the estate that I reside in. The hedges are neat and tidy. Theyve even managed to take out rubbish that was lodged in the hedges and bushes in the estate. The grass is well manicured. They are a highly skilled team.

Beware, extremely unreliable. We had this company booked 3 weeks in advance. The company director Tardgh rang us yesterday but an arrogant attitude demanding he came out there and then for health and safety reasons and saying to get written permission from neighbours. Understandable but was never mentioned before this when quoting the job. When we asked did he have forms they could sign he was very condescending. He clearly wanted us to cancel as he realised the job wasn t worth his time. Avoid. Not nice to deal with.

I used Grasshopper this week to cut back overgrown garden shrubbery/bushes. I would have to say the two guys did an excellent job. The result was exactly what I wanted which has left me able to keep the garden in check myself going forward. I would fully recommend Grasshopper as its a professionally run company, good value and deserves the 5 star rating.

Would not recommend on first appointment with them never turned up,second visit turned up job done ok,but on the way out through my new driveway oil leaked over it from their equipment,was promised by manager they would come out and clean it never happened

Ive 6 very large trees and asked Grasshopper to trim them. I was very happy with the work done. Noel and Alan were very professional. They safely trimmed all the trees and cleared and removed all the cuttings. Noel was also able to give me lots of information on each of trees which was very interesting. I would recommend them. 2023 EDIT: Cant fault their work, but they have gone extremely expensive. I was quoted 2000 euro to have my hedges trimmed. After I recovered from the shock I got my own hedge trimmer and did it myself.

Im still waiting! Contacted Kevin in Grasshopper services early May for weeding, tidying and mulching 2 large front flower beds. Quoted E350. Booked next available date of 26 May. When they didnt show up on that date at 11am I rang and was told by Kevin they were delayed on another job but would come later and hed update me. 3 hours at 2pm Kevin rang and rescheduled for 2nd June at 8am and reduced price by E100. No show again on 2nd June!. Left 2 messages, no call back and i finally got through to Kevin at 10.30am. Sounded surprised to hear from me (like hed forgotten booking) and said hed contact the guys to see where they are and call me back. 11am he rang and said hed messaged them and would call me when he heard from them. Its 7th June now and Im still waiting!!! No contact from Kevin. This company is obviously only interested in pricy large jobs. Extremely poor customer service, unprofessional and if I could give a zero star review I would. I do not recommend this company. Ill also be going elsewhere for the redesign of my back garden which couldve been worth 20k to them.

I was very pleased with the work done by Grasshopper. They did a good pruning job, and also mowed my lawn, which had got very out of hand, and had become too big a job for me. We live part of the time in Dublin and needed someone to look after our raised flower beds when we are away. We hired Grasshopper Services and have been very pleased with their work. Damian is the landscape specialist who works on our property. We are ever amazed at his knowledge of plants and their needs. He does an amazing job trimming and pruning and preparing the gardens for the winter. He also does an excellent job keeping the weeds at bay. We have a walled garden with no back entrance so Damian has to carry the waste through our Victorian rowhouse. He is very conscientious and careful when traversing our home. He is always on time. I would wholeheartedly recommend Grasshopper Services and especially Damian to look after a garden.

Damian transformed my garden in a morning form a bit of a mess into a much more manageable space. Im delighted with future potential of the garden and look forward to working with Grasshopper services again. Grasshopper deliver a very reliable, consistent and competitively priced service to our development of over 100 houses with landscaped communal grounds. Weekly maintenance of front gardens and common areas is delivered by a friendly team. Always responsive to requests. We have also used Grasshoppers tree surgery services and found that to be very professional and efficient.

Would highly recommend Grasshopper. They were out with us today trimming hedges and filling in a gap where a part of an old hedge had died. They did a super job and the hedge looks great again. They were out with us twice previously pruning a pear tree. We have always found them to be extremely reliable, always come when they say. Also they really know their stuff about plants and trees, have very pleasant staff and the prices are reasonable. Will definitely use again!

Grasshopper arrived promptly this morning at 8am and did a fantastic job pruning and trimming shrubbery on my jungly garden. They clearly operate to the highest professional standards and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Best of all, they cleared up all the debris afterwards. Noel and Simon trimmed a large silver birch, and removed a laburnum tree at our house. They were courteous, professional, clean and efficient,and did a great job. They removed all the debris. Safety was a priority with them also. I would highly recommend this company.

Grasshopper Services reduced the height of large ash trees at the bottom of my garden. The location was tricky as there were garden sheds below belonging to myself and a neighbour which could have been damaged by falling branches. The crew arrived on time and did a very professional job, including a meticulous clean up afterwards. (including leaving me chopped up logs at my request) I had received a couple of quotes and Grasshopper were the most competitive. Fully insured too which is important. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Tadhg was excellent in advising us on removal of an old Holly Tree with encroaching roots. Noel and Sean were a great team, they came on time, were fast an efficient and took away all of the branches. They cleaned up everything and were lovely to deal with. Very professional.

I was very happy with the garden work and power washing done by Josh from Grasshopper Services this week. My initial inquiry was dealt with very courteously and professionally by Kevin and was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

Kevin was extremely helpful and always returned my calls and messages, Noel and Shaun got rid of big tree trunks and roots , the back garden was in bad shape and the lads done a smashing job and i felt was good value for my money 100%, would so recommend the lads , fair play lads if I need you again I wont hesitate to call .

Stay away from these guys - total cowboys. They broke my gas pipe relaying it and tried to convince me that the attached grass was a match... Really rude when I disagreed and tried to fob me off telling me I clearly couldnt see that it was a match...

Very impressed with Fintans knowledge. I had only asked for a (free) quote for trimming a tree, but got a lot more...Fintan gave me so much (again, free) advice on planting and fencing and patio slabs and general garden design. Thanks Fintan!! Will be booking him in now to trim that tree!

Fantastic service from Grasshopper Services earlier today. Removed a large oak tree that was decaying, worked around telephone and power lines (temporarily switched off by the ESB). Completed so quickly the power was off for less than an hour, happy neighbors . Expertly removed, tidied up after the job and removed all debris. Can t recommend them enough.

We tasked grasshopper to enhance our outdoor space for the Summer season in a corporate setting - they certainly delivered in enhancing our space. They arranged planters and plants and flowers to fit the brief and the install was done in a timely manner. Thank you Grasshopper team.

I am so unhappy with the service I got from Grasshopper, I called and requested for my tree to be cut back from my property . The job was carried out when I was in work ( my fault , i paid for the job straight away) however since than I have asked grasshopper (Kevin) to return and fix the job as the trees are still hanging over my drive way and he refused to do so. Every time I call i am told a new story. I am so upset beyond belief I paid in good faith for a job to be done and it hasnt been done correctly.I am a first time buyer and I really am meeting Cowboys along my way . I still have an over hanging tree and down 350 Euro. So upsetting and such bad Customer service. DO NOT USE THEM

Noel and Emanuel arrived at 10.30, they cut the height of 4 silver birches and one golden leaf tree with the minimum of fuss, didnt damage any of the flowers below, removed all debris and cleaned up after. Gone at 12.30. Highly recommend

This company is probably the most unprofessional company we have ever encountered. Not only are they totally untrustworthy but they are extremely rude and unresponsive to phone calls or emails. They requested a photo to provide a quote to cut down a tree in our front garden, they advised a price without even visiting the site to determine the difficulty of the job. They scheduled visits for the job numerous times and never showed up numerous times - we had booked days off work to ensure we were available and we did not even receive a phone call or an email to advise us that they would not be able to do the job. Long story short, they finally arrived about a month ago to do the job and decided the tree was too large and they would need to reschedule to complete the job with a cherry picker (this was fine and we were happy to reschedule the job with them) we offered to move cars out of the way so they could maneuver their large van out of our driveway, they declined and proceeded to reverse directly into our outdoor lighting and they completely broke the light. They constructively parked in front of it and tied it together with tie wraps and drove out our driveway without even notifying us of the incident. We know this because the whole incident was caught on the CCTV cameras on our house. We would have appreciated them calling to the door to advise of the incident but they chose to take this action instead. Since then I have been calling and emailing them to cover the cost of fixing the light (which I believe is a reasonable request) I have been getting very little communications from them, Kevin their office representative promised their area manager Tadhg would visit and inspect the broken light and work to resolve the issue but he never showed on the two occasions he was supposed to. I have now received an email to say that Tadhg seen this and he is waiting on a quote to have it soldered This is totally unacceptable as Tadhg never came to our house to look at the light and they are offering a basic solder job whereas they totally broke the light and it doesnt work anymore. Thankfully we have email correspondence and cctv footage so we can follow this up. They are total cowboys guys dont go near them, they dont seem to want the work and are completely unresponsive and rude. I can see from the previous comments most people have had similar experiences.

Absolutely useless bunch, totally unprofessional. They never showed up to give me a quote at the time they had said, and I had taken a half day for this. They also told me theyd do the job on the 6th of October, then randomly showed up last week. They did a terrible job on the tree, which took about 3 hours, yet theyre charging me 1078 euros for a full day. Totally unresponsive from their office, I have been totally shafted and ripped off. This is first time I have used grasshopper services and from the start they been so helpful and accomdating. I have to re schedule twice and they came out and previewed they work I needed done and gave me a free quote. They provided an excellent service tome so I was happy to proceed. A date was arrange and they arrived on the morning at half 7 and they trimmed the hedges in my front and back garden. They were so nice on the day and asked if I had anything else needed as they had additional time to spare so they cut my lawn and took away all the clippings. I would highly recommend

I am very impressed as I contacted them last minute about a tree issue and they responded in no time with a man pop to my door to review the tree and to quickly agree a price and come and fully remove the tree and level the area out.. Weve had nothing but good experiences with Grasshopper Services. Right from the get go they were very honest and forthcoming with helpful information. Grasshopper services completed two big jobs for us. Firstly they did some grubbing which really freshened up our large flower beds. We had initially asked to have some mulch laid but to their credit, they advised that it was the wrong time of year for that. So we went ahead with the grubbing instead. When it was the right time for the mulch to be laid, Grasshopper services came in over to days to lay the mulch. The results were amazing. The usually tired and neglected looking gardens look amazing after the grubbing and later on the mulching. The whole team at Grasshopper services has been a delight to work with. Theyre very friendly and will not lead you astray. I found them to always be very punctual and great value for money. Theyre very knowledgeable and have the best interests of your garden at heart. I whole heartedly recommend the team at Grasshopper Services for any work you may need in your gardens.

Grasshopper Services arranged a visit for a quote on site promptly and their consultant arborist gave me a number of options in relation to tree crowning, removal and pruning. In the end the expert option he advised was one where Grasshopper would not receive any immediate business. Very much appreciative of the time and the sound advice given.

Appointment made for a week ahead. After waiting the whole week. . They didnt turn up at time agreed to look at a big job.. after I took morning off work.when I rang they said they would investigate why this happened and get back to me in half in hour. They didnt do this either needless to say. I rang the next day to see if they had figured out why they forgot.manager said still investigating. You couldnt make it up. Total chancers and cowboys. Time wasters. Avoid like the plague.

I called Grasshopper for four Trees to get removed, within a couple of hours they had someone out to price the job , the price was very reasonable cheaper than any other quote, the next day they had two men out and they removed the four Trees within one day , they were quick and done everything by the book there health and safety standards are beyond remarkable, I would highly recommend Grasshopper services I could not fault them between work ethic and customer service they exelled my expectations,I have recommended Grasshopper to numerous friends and I have booked in some more work in the near future, absolute pleasure dealing with these guys , I have to tip my cap to them,over all very well ran buissnees very professional very punctual and all the staff are very helpful and polite thanks guys for giving me the light I always wanted in my garden,keep up the good work fantastic job .

We had a very large Tree in our front garden area that was getting a little out of control. It was creeping over into our neighbors property and we were worried it would be a safety risk. We got the guys in Grasshopper to come in and cut it back to a safer size. It was a great job and didnt look like the tree was hacked to bits. It still looks full and in great shape, and we dont need to worry about it again for a while more. Great Job.

Got this company to cut down very old dead trees. Was very impressed with the service from start to finish. 2lads came at 7.30am started work at 8am .work was so professional didn t leave a twig and cleaned the whole place up when they were finished . Cannot recommend Grasshopper enough, they recently did a great job prunning large trees for myself and my neighbours. From start to finish they did an amazing job from the office staff to the crew that carried out the work they were so professional and obliging. Very easy to deal with friendly and curtious with all the neighbours and they cleaned up everything after themselves.

What a transformation to our garden! We are absolutely delighted with the result. Gareth worked so very hard today as I think the back garden was more overgrown that was shown in the original photos I sent! This did not faze him at all and he took on the task with sheer determination on getting the back garden back to a decent condition, which he certainly did. His two colleagues who came along later in the morning assisted him greatly and they all worked together to get the job done. The front garden looks completely changed too! I just cant thank Gareth (who was a pleasure to deal with today) and the team enough for a super job. Thanks again to you Kevin and the whole team and I will certainly be using your company again in the future and recommending you to anyone I can.

Count not recommend highly enough! We engaged Grasshoppers to manage our development of 92 properties with car park and landscaped gardens at the rear. After so many years of previous companies failing to deliver after 6 months, we are now heading into year 3 with Grasshoppers, the level of service and workmanship is incomparable with previous companies. Tadhg is our Account Manager and nothing is too much hassle nor too small to worry about, he is meticulous and represents an incredible team. I have never bothered to leave bad feed back before for a company following poor service however the service from Grasshopper was beyond horrendous. I booked their service to remove a tree. The tree surgeon never turned up at 7.30am as promised. I waited until the office opened to be told the tree surgeon was sick. No one phoned me to let me know. It was annoying as i booked 2 days annual leave to facilitate the surgeons availability but I understood that people get sick and i was offered a discount and a new date which I accepted. The second date AGAIN the surgeon did not turn up. This time my partner had taken annual leave. I was told when I rang to complain that they had called out the day before while we were out and decided the tree was too big for the labour and price they had quoted. This was ridiculous, I had emailed full details, sent photos and videos and made sure they were fully informed regarding the job. I had even asked if they need to call out to see it. I was told they didnt. I queried why no one phoned, left a note or turned up on the morning anyway to tell us they would not cut the tree. I was told they had the wrong number for me but they did not explain why they did not call over on the morning instead of leaving us waiting and trying for ages to get through to the office or at least leave a note when they called the day before. DO NOT USE GRASSHOPPER. Its the worst service Ive ever experienced.

Thank you Grasshopper Services for a brilliant job completed within budget and on time. I contacted Grasshopper Services with three issues that I had been putting on the long finger for years. There were five very tall and leafy trees overshadowing my lawn and interfering with good grass growth. Basically I had a bald sand pit instead of a manicured lawn that I could only dream of. When the head gardener came out to me he advised that I only needed to remove three of the trees to allow enough sunlight in to cheer up my lawn. This was great news because it reduced the final cost to me. Grasshopper Services were not only giving me best advice but they were reducing what they could have charged. This work was carried out expeditiously. Well done Grasshopper Services. Now, of course, we had to think about the lawn. The options offered were either roll out lawn for immediate gratification or to start from scratch and fully re-seed. I decided to go for the re-seeding and I now have a fantastic lawn (the envy of all) Finally there was planting required for both front and back gardens. Grasshopper Services brought along their expert horticulturist and between us all we picked suitable plants and shrubs for my garden. The bottom line is that my wife is now speaking to me again and I could not recommend Grasshopper Services more highly.

Absolute cowboys - we booked these guys to remove a tree and gave them all the information they requested. We took annual leave for the arranged date and they never showed up on the agreed morning. After we rang them all morning they apologised and we rearranged for another date. Again we took annual leave a second time and waited at home at 7.30am for them to arrive, nobody turned up AGAIN! They rang with further excuses but my advice is dont waste your time, they just never show up.

If its a tree report you are looking for I would strongly advise not to use this company for this service. For 400 I got a two page preliminary tree report (at least photographs were added) based on a 10/15 min on site inspection, in my estimation that could not be more than 2 hrs work. I even had to request a revised report after receiving an extremely short sloppy one page report which even included spelling mistakes and poor layout. For this money I expected a detailed tree report which was more professionally typed up. I feel I have been ripped off and numerous arborists had similar opinion. I was also very unhappy and upset with their first reports only recommendation being to fell my trees which they subsequently amended, after it was requested, by adding a second recommendation to treat the trees. Many arborists were of the opinion that the felling of the trees would not have been necessary.

Great Company my Garden was in serious need of repair, I tried in vain to remove an old tree stump myself gave up in the end, got the pros to do it for me, was delighted with finished job. The garden looks great now.

Bad company!

Someone from the company called out to look at a job we wanted to get done in our garden. I was told that I would hear back with a quote in a few days but nobody got back to me. I tried emailing them but got no response. Why bother calling out if youre not going to follow up with a quote?

Hi, I organised 2 call outs to get a quote for a driveway, on both occasions they never showed up and never called me to say this would be the case. I cannot comment on the work they do but their customer service is poor. Rory
