Update-07/26 Jordan from Preventive came out this morning and sprayed on the inside. He apologized for the mis communication and took accountability for the mistakes that were made. I changed my rating to 4 stars. Hopefully, this does not happen again. Thank you Jordan for going above and beyond to keep me as a customer. So disappointed with this company. I have been a customer for 17 years. Fulfilled my contract with them the first year and then asked to be on a I will call you when I need you bases. I ve had a few hiccups with them but today was the last straw. Had a spray done in May, still seeing bugs in June. They come out and spray again. Leave a message Monday (07/22) that I am still seeing earwigs and spiders. They guarantee no bugs for 90 days. So this was in my 90 days of when they sprayed in May. No phone call back and this morning I have a $108 charge taken out of my account. Checked my camera s, and they sprayed the outside of my house this morning. Nobody knocked on my door ! First, I am not set up for anything to be taken from my account without my permission. 2nd why am I being charged for another service within 90 days? He said it s because.my quarterly was due. WHAT! I m not on a contract!! So somehow after 17 years, I m back on a contract? I don t think so. I ll be finding me a new company.

Spencer was great; he listened to my concerns about our vole problem and he treated all the areas (and then some) that I told him were issues. Hopefully we wont have anymore issues, but you know how voles can be.

Company overcharged. When I showed them receipts they refused to refund. I canceled service. They continually hound me with texts phone calls and knocks on my door. I have asked them multiple times through documented conversations to stop. I recommend not doing business with them.

They were scheduled to spray my condos, I signed up for an interior spray while they were on site. No one ever come to my door. I asked them to honor the price and service and they refuse. Very disappointing.

We use Preventive Pest Control commercially at some of my apartment communities and Ive been so happy with them. Their tech, Eric, is a top tier employee! That guy knows what hes doing. After every service, he communicates what he did and the action plan if further service is needed. He speaks with my residents and answers every question and concern. You can tell he takes pride in his work and wants the community to be successful. Their office staff is always helpful, and they are pretty quick to get us on the schedule for service outside of our monthly scheduled service.

They dont call back after you enroll.

I have been using preventive for about a year. Everything was fine till it wasn t. I had owned on a pass bill. So I set up a payment to come out. They called saying I owed. Talked to the lady.. she looked said never mind. That payment never came out. Now owning more money. Because I didn t get a message or invoice for 2 months. They are saying they entered my home. On a date I know I wasn t home. But heaven forbid that s what there tracker says. They said they sprayed out said which I can t prove . They usually leave a card but I didn t get one at this time! It s very frustrating it he said she said. I really like this company till I didn t .

I have been using Preventive for almost 6 years now, the first 3 at an apartment complex I managed and the most recent 3 at my home. I have only come across maybe 5 spiders in that time and that was only when I had to push back my service date. Im also spending all my time in the basement, so thats saying a lot! They always give me enough notice and always work around my schedule. I am extremely terrified of spiders and bugs, but I never have to worry about seeing them with these guys.

We have used this company for over 10 years now and for the most part have been happy with them. Some of the techs have not been as helpful as others which you will have in any business. We just had our spring service done for this year and was VERY impressed with Daylin. He was very helpful, friendly and thorough and we will request him as our tech. I dont leave reviews but due to Daylin s professional and helpful service wanted to give him a great review and thank him for doing an exceptional job! Looking forward to seeing him again!

Ive been using them for a couple of years, and I rarely if ever seen any spiders in my home. Today Spencer provided the service. He was very professional, he explained what he was going to do, did it, and then provided me a receipt.

Ive been a customer with Preventative Pest Control for 4-5 years now. They are great to work with - always professional and thorough with their treatments, and if you continue having issues following a treatment, they are great to come back out and do a re-treatment and no additional cost. They have ruined my lawn by putting pre emergence on the lawn I am trying to replace. I have repeatedly complained about grubs which they say they treat but I still have grubs eating my flowers. I asked to have service canceled no one has come to check out the problems and have co tinued to treat lawn. Any more service I will not pay the invoice

They are always timely with scheduling my quarterly treatment, and I love that they spray both the outside perimeter and the inside perimeter of my house, as well as coming back if I start seeing pests and need an additional spray before my next quarterly treatment. Stay away from this company. They didnt bother to ring my door bell for interior work. They charged $461 for a year. This company works like a Gym, with a membership. They charged me 60% of what was left on our 1 year contract when I called to cancel my services. I had service with another company prior to this company who DID NOT charge me to cancel my service

I filled out their online request to be contacted because my boss said he has used them for years but they never contacted me. Real disappointed. Why have the option to be contacted if their not gonna bother? We have several properties. That is a lot of lost potential business.

Their technicians are dependable and friendly and they keep those pesky bugs away, especially those annoying box elder bugs!! They even made an extra trip out to take care of a small ant problem. They claimed they came on a date and sprayed on a day that it was snowing and wet. Placed exterior bait stations but didnt put bait in them. Do yourself a favor and choose a different company.

RED RED FLAG!!!! please save yourself the headache & DO NOT use this company! My husband decided to use it because family referred them. The biggest red flag to me was when they claim to show up & spray while we werent home & left a card saying what was done & I was home!! They didnt service our home at all. We have the employee on camera walking to our door leaving the card & driving away. They did this several times. The biggest indicator of no service being done besides being caught on camera is that the spiders, spider webs, wasps & ants were still around! I told my husband to cancel with them because of this. He did but then some how we still owe them for one more service. Which is laughable because they didnt service our home. Their billing is insane. So my husband tried to work it out with them & in the end began service again with them, & now we are constantly being billed a past amount (for service that was never done) in addition to current service. When we began service again with them it was a zero balance, yet we still get billed a past amount. Just dont waste your money with them. Find another reputable, honest, customer service friendly company. I hate that he even gave them a second chance! Never again.

Theyve taken care of our pest control for almost 18 years, our lawn for 3 years and our xmas lights for 4 years now. Brandon (the owner) and staff are always so great to work with, they always go above and beyond with their services and any special requests we might have. I used a lawn care service prior to preventive that didnt do half the job Brandon and his team do. I would recommend Preventive Pest Control because of this and their fair prices.

After being a customer for many years, I have to leave Preventive. They were good @ the service I paid them for, but something has happened. Unbelievable bad service 2022. Preventive charges w/o notice or authorization and failed to do services AFTER Paying In Full for a year. Simply saying We re Sorry for charges AFTER I paid in full for a year or service because Preventive changes rates AFTER payment for a year is simply an unfair business practice? You pay for a service, in full, several months later they increase the price for the service you ALREADY paid for and charge you for the change 10 months later? They claimed they notified all clients. I asked for proof of communication, they searched and cannot find. We re sorry . I paid in full for Tree Service 01.2022. It never happened. They advised me of this in November. We re sorry . What else have they not done that I paid them for? Sorry does not instill, or replace Trust. Never again with Preventive.

Preventive has always kinda been the lesser of all evils, but lately they are the WORST. They never show up and when they do they are not on time. They never follow through with their promises or commitments and if you tell them this their attitude is like, oh well, who cares...

Preventive is super responsive to their customers! When I called to schedule my appointment, I had to leave a voicemail. I was called back within just a couple minutes - and even got an apology from the receptionist, which was unnecessary but appreciated. They are always punctual and show up when they say they are going to. They are quick and professional, with reasonable pricing too! I really appreciated how friendly Kyle was. It s important to feel comfortable with technicians that come into your home and at no point did it feel like he was a stranger. I definitely recommend these guys!

I never have ants in my home and very rarely encounter a spider. RED FLAG WARNING that they have to force their customers to continue to do business with them. I paid in advance for the top level of pest control for 1 year. They still billed me EVERY TIME, and Id call in and theyd say they made a mistake. They also committed to spraying both the interior and exterior each time, but they only sprayed the interior once so I still have spiders inside my home. The biggest kicker is that they came and sprayed my home again and billed me $100, but never let me know my year was up (and when they kept billing by mistake when I HAD paid, I didnt realize this service would be out of my prepaid services). I called them so we could work something out but they wouldnt budge an inch: not even a small discount. They offered to either let me sign up again for a year or Id still owe the balance, but theyd waive my finance charge (meaning they wouldnt charge me extra charges on top of this one). I made the mistake of referring a couple people to this money-hungry, poorly managed company. Ill be sure to tell even more people to stay away.

They are not really interested in answering your questions to resolve concerns. They try to get you off the phone as soon as possible. When trying to request a different time they disregarded my reason why and did not change the date. I was disappointed with the way the call was handled and my look for another service to treat my home.

They used high pressed and predatory sales techniques to get my wife to sign a contract with them when she called them for a one time service call. This is a company who does not know the meaning of customer-centric service. They only have their best interests in mind. My wife was so pressured she did not feel she could take the time to wait until I was off the phone to discuss it with me. The agent used phrases like: If you dont sign now then I wont get the credit for the sale and you have to sign now before I leave or you wont get this deal and I have to go now to other clients as we are very busy. They should be ashamed of themselves for preying on people with techniques they are not armed to deal with. We have 2 other properties we would have had them help us out with for many years. They lost out on a great possible customer with a propensity to tell other people how he feels about this company.

I have used there service and also worked here. They are a great company they go the extra mile for there customers ALL the time! If you are looking for a professional company that can solve you pest issues look no further.

They claim they go to your home when you are not there but I have a nest of bees in my previous home and they missed it. Also aunts everywhere and they failed to exterminate those and they went twice for this. I ended up taking care of that by myself; it took me 10 min and 1 spray of Home Defense Insect Killer. They force services on you that you are NOT asking for. They charge for the service but they know they havent done it but guess what, you call to clarify you did not receive the service so they schedule one even if you dont want it. ALL MY SERVICES WERE PAID IM DONE. Someone contacted me recently twice to tell me I missed an appointment and that they were on the area. What area? What appointment? I DONT HAVE A HOUSE my contract is done and I dont have a new house to get services. The guy that called mentioned he was going to put my contract on hold because I have one more service left. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY TOLD ME LAST TIME. Guess what...I scheduled the last service in the house I sold. NO THANKS I DONT WANT MORE CALLS or SERVICES.. STOP THE HASSLE. My contract is NOT ON HOLD all my contractual obligations were met and my phone is on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

I saw no change in the amount of spiders and earwigs in our home and when I asked for a re-service due to me being unhappy with it they charged me for it as another service. And I also dont recall signing a paper agreeing to a contract especially if Im not even satisfied with the services.

Got billed when no service was done. We finished the agreement and then they wanted to start another agreement. Always ask for the days they stated the service was done. I had been doing yard work that day, outside during when they said they had came. Funny, I didnt see anyone outside while I was in the front yard. Always question your bill from them. ALWAYS.

Jackson was prompt and polite. He asked me if I had any questions or concerns. When he was spraying my back yard he found some money and gave it to me. Honesty goes a long way!

So Dishonest!!! We paid for ONE time spray (didnt sign any contract ) and they are claiming they came out several times, when we were not home and sprayed (which we DID NOT authorize) We have spoken with the sales guy that did the first spray and CEO that says he would fix it but we are still getting bills every month! Then they sent us to collections for a service that WAS NOT done or authorized! Stay away, so dishonest!

Techs are nice and professional. I called in between my regular visits because I was having an ant problem. They came out the next day and were helpful and accommodating.

We had them for a couple years they had the ants at bay for a while. We had them come out over and over again and couldnt fully get rid of them they glopped some poison on the walls and left it there to ruin the paint and streak down . We had lawn with them too. On our last application, our lawn started dying when they came out for ants I asked them about it dying and they said we needed to water it more. We did as they instructed and it was still dying I had another company come out to look at it and within minutes he giagnosed grubs and had it treated. Sure enough, the lawn is coming back . They seem to do the minimum required to be done with the appointment. I called to cancel an appointment as they had been to our house 2 or 3 days prior for the ants and it wouldnt do any good to come back that soon and I hadnt seen any ants since then. I let them know at the same time that I wouldnt be renewing and that I wanted to cancel the lawn immediately. They sent me to cancellations (which I thought was weird since I still had prepaid pest for a short while). They canceled the whole account, apparently issuing a refund for the last quarter that I had prepaid without informing me that was what they were canceling. I called them today as I have ants COVERING my kitchen sink and to have them come out to treat as they should (according to what I understood at the time) be under contract. The agent told me that they couldnt come out as we were no longer customers with them. I was confused and after digging with her and getting transferred to the previous agent that canceled my account, I found out that they had not only canceled the lawn and the appointment, but canceled my entire amount and issued a refund for the last prepaid quarter. She lied to my husband about what I asked for (even though he was there for the conversation and heard himself what I asked for) and in the end were just hung up as there was no use to continuing the conversation with someone who clearly just changed her entire attitude and story when she talked to him. I would NEVER recommend these people to anyone again.

We LOVE Preventative Pest Control!! We bought an older home that had not been properly cared for, and we were killing between 1-3 spiders/bugs a day. Not anymore!! With Preventative Pest Control our bug problems are eliminated, not to mention the threat of mice and other pests. Best part? They come respray for free if even a single ant makes a reappearance! The customer service here is spot on. We moved into an old house that was infested with small brown spiders. The initial services unfortunately did not rid the house of all of them. However after I called a week after and told them Id seen one since, they sent a technician THE SAME DAY to come spray again free of charge. It was no hassle at all and everyone was super friendly. I got a mailer from Preventive Pest Control I called them today August 02 2018, The owner was rude and didnt care the flyer says Same day Service guaranteed which when we asked them to come out today they told us no ones available when the mailer says same day service which means they have to come out today and the day that you call which would be August 02 2018. Since thats when we asked them to come out. The owner is rude and doesnt care about costumers and dont care about his business when we talked to him.

I ve had preventive service for a few years now, they are very dependable they always contact me ahead of any visit to see if I would like them to treat the inside of the house. I would recommend them to without hesitation.

I have been with preventive for a number of years due to their results and the professionalism of their personnel. A week ago they returned and I was introduced to a new represntative, Oz. He was friendly , knowledgeable and set a new standard for customer service and efficiency. Were I still in the business of service excellence, I would have hired Oz on the spot so, he gets my highest regard and 5 stars.

A friend recommended these guys to install our outdoor Christmas lights. I m very happy I did. Every person I talked to from the customer service rep. on the phone to the guys who came to install the lights were very friendly and courteous. They showed up on time for my appointment and finished up quickly, with no mess. My lights are bright LEDs and evenly spaced. Plus they will come in the next week to take the lights down and box them up. They look great and it s nice to not have to worry about them.

We went all winter without seeing spiders inside. We had a major ant infestation a year and a half ago and Ive seen about a dozen in the house so far this spring. Such a HUGE difference! The people who come are always friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help however they can.

I called Preventive Pest Control when we started getting more spiders but huge black widows and some insect from Mars that had me screaming bloody murder. I havent seen creepy crawlers in months. I now walk into every room fully confident of not having to kill something. Staff is friendly and flexible.

We had recently switched to another pest control service because they offered a lower price. They were awful! They would reschedule us without even asking and never even showed up once in our three months with them. When I came crawling back like the bugs you kill, Taylor was an amazing rep to talk to!!! You guys not only scheduled us way faster than when they could come but you called back and ended up coming THAT DAY within a half an hour with a very kind pest-control agent. His name was Dave and he was personable with my kids got the job done quickly and was awesome! Taylor even scheduled another free visit a week after Dave came to make sure everything was going well. We had never known what another company was like because Preventive was the first one we had ever tried. Looking back, I see that we already were recovering TOP notch service and shouldnt have left. We wont leave you guys ever again! Unless we move Can you please move with us?

Preventive has been a great pest control company for us! We would definitely recommend them! They have friendly techs and customer service. They also want your wants and needs met! UPDATE: Although I am not 100% convinced to stay with your company, I am however very impressed with the senior tech that came. His name is Brandon (lost the card with his last name). Turns out he is a neighbor and he was very thorough. Either thats due to dealing with me not being happy or he really got the job done this time. Im not impressed with the previous tech and his half done job. Brandon on the other hand is welcome back any time. The spider issue has now been taken care of and I havent had to kill any since his visit. We are finding dead bodies and Id rather clean up 100 of those than finding live ones on the walls. Thank you for making things right. I plan on sticking out this contract and if things continue to be great with Brandon I will stay. We did not chose this company, we were forced to accept their terrible service when they bought out Sage. The cancellation fee is ridiculous when we did not choose to have their services. They have been to my house to treat twice and I am still finding live spiders. Im not happy. Their tech does not do what you request and and after two treatments youd think things would improve and they havent. I cant wait to find a trustable and reliable company like I had before. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Waste of money when I am doing the work myself. And because of the buy out we lost services that were previously offered. Therefore costing me even more to order them or do them myself.

Just had my first services for both lawn care and Pest Control. The Pest Control Tech (Addison) was great and explained how everything works and what I could expect. I would highly recommend.

I have been using Preventive for around 2 years and have been pleased and they have met my expectations. Recently I had a new bug show up that I thought was termites. Of course I freaked and jumped on the phone with them. They sent someone to my home FOR FREE to evaluate at which point he told me I did not have termites and he would look into what the actual bug was with no additional charge. They came back out and sprayed my property again at no additional cost to try and treat the problem while they worked to figure it out. After a few more days and a few pictures of the pests I received a very informative e-mail letting me know what the insect was and what I could also do to prevent them from spreading. A harmless little thing called a springtail that is attracted to moisture. Back to how great they are. The ladies on the phone were very prompt on getting someone to my house to evaluate, the inpectors that have come out have been so pleasant, and the e-mails extremely professional. I am sure they were tired of hearing form me however they never stopped listening to my concerns and addressing them with me. I believe so much in this company, their product, and employees to handle my property with sincere care. Update***Still pleased. Today a young man named Jordan stopped by and was very thorough and knowledgeable. What a great company.

Preventive is great. We have a really old house and when we moved in it was infested with poisonous spiders. We called preventive immediately they have kept the house under control for us ever since. Great customer service as well.

Dont waste your money on this. First time my house got sprayed the tech was there for less than 2 minutes. When done, he told me to sign a paper that was said to be a receipt but ended up being a contract. I called in to cancel the next visit and said I would call to reschedule it but the guy came to my house anyway and according to my husband who was home it was only outside and lasted for less than two minutes AGAIN. I get home and there was a note saying I owe 80 dollars for the service so I called in and the receptionist told me I never canceled the appointment and that I would either have to pay 192 dollars to cancel my account or pay the 80 dollars for the 2 minute service. I would gladly pay for all appointments if I felt like they were effective but right now I just feel like I was scamed.

Preventive Pest Control has been taking care of my lawn and spiders, and wasps for approximately the past 10 years. I have been extremely pleased with their service. My grass has never looked better, and they rid my place of the wasps that tend to hover in the corners of my wood deck. Oh my, please dont waste your money. Weve had more spiders in and around our home after their service, its ridiculous. When I phoned to complain about this, the girl on the other end explained that this is supposed to happen and that their product sends the spiders out of their hiding places. Well hey, since I have insane arachnophobia, this would have been great to know. However, when they sent their tech out for our initial meeting, he couldnt tell me a thing about their product, if it was safe for the honey bees we have planted certain plants for, or what to expect in the coming days after they spray. They also didnt come do a follow up, just their quarterly spray. I get that they said theyll come out if theres ever a problem but honest to goodness if I phoned every time there was a problem theyd start to be as annoyed with me as I am with them. If it wasnt so expensive to cancel, wed have done it a while ago. Moral of this exhaustive post, go buy your own pest spray at your local hardware store and save yourself money AND! As an added bonus, itll probably work! Thats what well be doing when our contract expires.

Weve had the best experience with their employee Dave S. He was very informative, quick, and thorough. I had two bugs he didnt know what they were, he took a sample back to the office and called me first thing the next morning to personally tell me what they were. Awesome sauce. I had three other workers who had come before him, and they didnt know. I appreciated that he took the time to explain what was going on. Ive requested him for each service.

Miscommunication was the problem. Told by the door to door salesman that service tech would be there at 8:30. Called company at about 9:00 and talked with Rachel, who said she would find out where the tech was. Called right back (good on Rachel) with information that the tech said he was in heavy traffic, but was on his way. By 9:45, no tech, and had to cancel the appointment. First chance to make a good impression failed. Second chance was a call to the company and spoke to Russ. He was happy to reschedule, but then I would be past the 3 day initial cancellation period. I suggested that I reschedule, and if there was still a problem that I could cancel the contract. Russ said yes, but then I would be charged $159 for the service. Failed at second chance, so decided to cancel the contract. Many good reviews, am disappointed that I was not similarly impressed.

After the initial treatment...I wasnt going to renew Preventive as the first treatment lasted maybe 10 minutes...was concerned if it was detailed enough...we did have an improvement in the spiders and pests...but just couldnt believe that in that brief time he could have gotten everywhere. We started having spiders come again, but not as many. After today with the second treatment when Brandon K. was the rep that did the treatment...he took quite a bit of time to do a very detailed job...very personable and very attentive to ensuring that every nook and cranny was treated. Asked me any place that may need extra attention. I am convinced we will even have a complete eradication of all those spiders we had...I did it for years myself with store pesticide but fired myself as it really never got rid of them completely...but in just a short few months there is a huge difference. And after the detailed treatment today, I am sure they will be completely gone. Thanks to Brandon, Ill stay with Preventive Pest Control!

A year ago I had a problem with rats--really large rats! I had another company come and their methods didnt work at all. So I called Preventive Pest Control and they were at my house the next day. The rat problem was handled and the only thing I find now are dead rats. Each time I think the rats are back, I call Preventive and they are at my home right away to take care of the problem. They have taken care of ants and voles and other garden critters. I appreciate that they work with my schedule and have been as accommodating as if I were their only client. Kudos to Preventive Pest Control.

We are so glad we found a pest control company that knows how to treat for flies in and around our horse barn. Controlling the flies in the barn has also proven effective in controlling flies in the house. We didnt actually hire this company, so maybe wed have a positive review if we had decided to sign up for their program. We called several companies to get price comparisons for dealing with our mouse problem, and because of the weekend and holiday we called this company three times (over 4 days). Each time we got a different price quote for different plans and were not given the option for another plan. This, and the description of what the technician would do (seemingly the least effective of all the companies weve called) made us decide against going with them. Maybe a better fit for people who are willing to pay whatever for ongoing control of bugs? Edited: Within an hour of posting this review Brandon called me to explain that the after-hours person (who we talked to on a Saturday) gives the standard price ($100 over the lowest estimate we were given) and the girls in the office (because apparently Brandon thinks hes a Mad Men character) are able to give bigger discounts. The two discounted prices we were given were $20 apart (for each bi-monthly visit). Readers, I recommend calling twice a day for 5 days to compare discounts before getting locked in to their program (or go somewhere else if you dont have time for that).

When I had a wasp nest in a tree in my back yard, I was concerned for my family and pets. I called and they came the next day with a techician the had the right protective gear. Unlike some reality TV actors! He removed the nest and just left the bill under my door mat. If you have pest this is the company to call.

Weve worked with Preventive for more than 4 years now and often refer them to our friends and family. The bugs stay away and our lawn looks amazing. Their service technicians are friendly and thorough. If weve ever had a problem with wasps or spiders they have come right out every time.

We signed up for service last fall with Preventive Pest Control and we soon had the greenest lawns on the street and no creepy crawlies in our basement! Weve been very pleased so far with our first year of service!
