As a previous customer, I'm so disappointed with GroundHog. I reached out last Summer and inquired about aerating and over-seeding to cover up some bare spots and renew my lawn. I explained that a few years back I had used my irrigation company for the same service and wasn't pleased with the result. Ryan assured me that GH is "a turf care company" and specializes in this service. To remove any perceived risk, he said "we stand by our work" and to call him directly if any issues/concerns come Spring. Well I just called... Ryan is no longer with the business. Mike took a good 10 minutes explaining how all of the lack of results are my fault - not enough water, wrong fertilizer, improper mowing, etc. They're happy to sign me up for a complete lawn care program but, maddeningly, they'll do exactly nothing to stand by their previous work. Trust and Integrity are so important in customer relationships. With a single call, GroundHog destroyed both.

Let me start by saying very courteous when they come to your home. Customer service top notch! Explains everything I need to know about my lawn. They leave information at your door so you know what to do next with the grass. Thanks again for making my lawn green!!

I switched over to Groundhog Turf Care in 2021 for fertilizing, tick and mosquito, and tree and shrub and the service was fantastic. The workers were very thorough and prepared, the grass and shrubs looked great compared with 2020, and most importantly they did everything they said they were going to do. Great Job!!

His company is committing a civil rights violation by parking on the sidewalk. Persons in wheelchairs cannot get by. This particular photo is at the Carol Rines Center, where they must have a city contract, ON ELECTION DAY, blocking access to voting for persons with disability. When asked to move by myself and the alderman, they declined.

3 issues and honestly I’m not one to write a bad review but these 3 issues need to be fixed • I had my lawn aerated and over seeded last week. First off I HATE that they could not give a time range when they will come, i was told some time in September. I specifically didn’t want end of September and that’s when they came even though I paid and scheduled over a month ago. • They DUG up so many areas of my lawn while aerating and I specifically all summer didn’t go back and forth over areas with my tractor so it doesn’t mess up some more visible areas such as near the street and my grass looked so much worse after the aeration (yes small holes are made but that is not want I’m talking about) I’m talking about large grass/dirt dug up areas that looked terrible • Third and probably the biggest problem is the terrible over seeding. In my front and back yard there are COMICAL LINES randomly throughout my yard front and back. Which means the guy used seed sometimes and didn’t most the other times. Also he didn’t cover my whole yard. You can legitimately see lines of new grass around my yard randomly front and back. It was TERRIBLE. I will post pictures. Use this for loam or mulch deliveries not for landscaping work!!!

I received an estimate a week ago with a prepay price for the entire years service for lawn fertilizer and mosquito and tick service. I received in the mail the bill after they came for two separate visits. The estimate expired today. I called to pay the entire years service and get the prepayment fee but they were not allowing me to receive the prepay for the full year. Since they came before I received the letter I had to pay full price for the two visits. They did offer to allow me to get prepay price for all other visits. But I had to eat the difference on those two visits. The said all others who had this happened paid it and it was only $24. On principle I paid full price for the two services and cancelled my plan. My total year was just about $1528.00. They did a great job for the two services but if you tell me one price then change it that doesn’t work.

We work with David Ciampa, he is a stud. I've never met someone to work as hard as him. Super respectful, he worked with us to identify our problematic tick sites in our yard and as a result we have NOT SEEN A SINGLE TICK on our dogs this year, even with all of the rain we've received.
