They did an okay job but forgot a few of the trees. My other complaint is that I paid in advance only to be put on the lowest priority for scheduling. I know because I had to call to be scheduled after the initially promised time frame came and went. Then that date got rescheduled once or twice.

The price point was spot on and with the quality of work, it was a win, win! Nick and the guys did a better job than the first, which is hard to believe! After the winter storm we had some branches break and needed some touch-up work. Nick was able to take care of what was needed and even to see some future breakage which is fantastic! Great company and crew!

I just had the worst experIence with your company first they put down the wrong time for the appointment and then try to make me feel like i was wrong,when i wrote it down as soon as i got off the phone and i called i was a little upset yes because i left work early lost money for the 3:30 that they put down for 3 i cant my money nor did i get an appointment tha lady gon we not a match while tryin to figure a day they can come out after she said that i said you re right and hung very not happy with your services or lack of!!!!

Have used the SavATree services since the merger with Mountain Tree several years ago. We have hired them to remove and plant trees, to prune and trim, to apply treatments for fire blight and to deep water and protect their roots in our ongoing drought. I could not be more pleased with knowledgeable staff and the quality of work. We have had a couple of incidents, including a hit and run that took out of one of our big locusts and a hack job by a firm that our power company hired. In both cases, our arborist stepped up to ensure the damage was repaired and the debris hauled away in a timely fashion. They are never try to sell us services we dont need or want, and are careful to spell out the details. They give us good advice about tree health and are patient with my many questions. Finally, the crews are polite and conscientious. And the trees always look so good after a pruning - no crew cuts!

Cody was on time and professional. Service was scheduled and completed within a week. Overall hassle free and positive experience. Now hopefully the tree will do much better!

For the most part not a bad job. However what pissed me off was that the workers didnt save any Apricot logs as I had requestedAs a result I wont be able to add what would have made tasty ribs on my smoker. Wish the crew had paid more attention as I know Jonathan had specified this request.

Large Austrian Pine had mostly died. Approximately 50 feet tall and 50 years old with multiple upper trunks and an angry squirrel. The three gentlemen made short work of cutting the tree in sections and removing from back yard. Chipper took care of much then a semi with a crane came to the yard and picked up the big pieces. Everyone was very capable and courteous. No injuries, no damage to nearby fence or yard and sprinkler system. Well done!

Consulting arborist was very helpful and online quote was itemized which allowed me to easily select which services I wanted, including being able to pay online. Tree trimming team was very friendly and worked with me to provide the custom trim I was looking for on one evergreen tree and also did excellent work on two Maple trees.

Jose & Luis did a wonderful job in shearing my hedges, which go clear around my property & were so high & bushy. They also did my spruce bushes/tree. I asked if, while doing the tree, they would let me know what my gutters look like (if they looked like they needed cleaning, I would contact someone to do it). They went ahead & just cleaned it with the blower- said there was about 2 inches of dirt w/weeds in it. I am so appreciative for them taking the initiative to do that. In the course of cutting my bushes in the back, Jose got stung by a hornet that had made its nest in my clothes line pole. He took care of that by some spray. As the guys were leaving, Jose saw another hornet under the eave over my front door. He dispatched it right away. Thank you, Jose & Luis, for a job well done. Ill see you next year. Myra Schneider

The reason I went with SavATree is truly because they care about the Trees and the environment. I had never trimmed my big Ash tree in fear of it getting pruned the incorrect way but when Drew came out and spent some time explaining how and the best way to trim it, it put me at ease. We also had it treated for the emerald bore by Spencer who said a little prayer for the tree before injecting it. Thank you Spencer. We also had 3 Aspens trees removed that had died. Will, Andre and Jerome came out and did the trimming and removal. They were very kind, professional and did a wonderful job. Our Ash tree has never looked so good. They also cleaned up all the branches and left the yard looking great. I would highly recommend SavATree.

Ive been using SavATree since I bought my home two years ago. I bought my house in January, but by the time the spring came, I realized the tree in our front yard was dead. I contacted Jonathan and he replaced it and has been helping care for it since. I also use Savatree for lawn treatment. Ive been really happy with it.

I doubt many people would consider themselves lucky when a tree company shows up at a vacant house on their street to remove one of the hugest maples on the block. They probably dread the upcoming buzzing and grinding noises; or fear that heavy equipment will block their own driveway; or worry that debris and a mess will be left behind or that their own property may incur some damage--to the roof? an antenna? a fence? Well, this lucky neighbor is happy to report that NONE of these things happened on June 24 when an extremely skilled, courteous, and concerned crew from Swingle/Savatree showed up to do the tree removal on South Steele: Nick, the crew leader, together with Brandon C. and Patrick. S. I consider myself lucky because it isnt often you have the opportunity to observe all three of these traits in one work crew: competence, professionalism, and excellent people skills. Nick was an amazing crew leader who should be a mentor to show other leaders how its done.His people skills were as superior as his climbing and saw skills. That he loves both trees and people was apparent. He took an interest in finding out neighbors concerns even before they had a chance to complain about anything, and then communicated concerns so well to his crew that one of the neighbors who went to a crew member to express her concern was so surprised to find that he already knew about it and was on it. The exchange left her feeling regarded, respected, and relieved. Excellent people skills produced this result. This crew showed that they not only cared about their customers, but they also respected and cared about each other and worked extremely well together. Clients know they are in good hands when they see this kind of teamwork. What I observed made me feel confident they could handle any tree challenge. At mid-day, I looked out and saw the most massive collection of tree trunk chunks I have ever witnessed. I couldnt help but wonder how these would be disposed of or when. By 3:30 every piece was gone, and not a trace of debris was left on the street. Amazing! And much appreciated by all the neighbors. These guys would be a welcomed sight in our neighborhood anytime!

I beautiful as the most recent snowfall was, it wrecked havoc on our Pear trees. Fortunately, Jeff Erber @ SavATree came quickly and we are back to beautiful. The trees and I thank you Jeff :) Tori Smith

SavATree did a great job trimming five very large trees in our front yard. Marissa, the arborist, directed the crew, checked on them frequently and followed up with us the next day. She answered all of our questions and came up with a good plan to access the trees. The crew took care to avoid damage to the lawn and other landscaping and did a great job cleaning up the debris. I wont hesitate to use them again.

This company was contracted to remove a tree from a backyard adjacent to ours. We received a call saying there was damage to our fence during the removal. They were not authorized to enter our property (privacy fence, secured gate) or perform any work, but did so anyway. The crew manager did not provide answers to questions. A supervisor was supposed to contact us, but did not. There was more damage to our fence and landscaping than originally communicated -- and covered up. Would not recommend.

After a short consult, Jonathan Raleigh came and trimmed a limb broken by snow damage. He came within a couple of days and took care of the job I am most appreciative.

Savatree blocked off my street so that the trash service couldnt pick up my garbage. So if you want a bunch of irate neighbors banging on your door, by all means hire them.

After the snowstorm I was in need of tree service therefore I called Savatree because Ive used them before and theyve been reliable. I was able to get an appointment right away and Jonathan their ISA Certified arborist was scheduled For the Consultation. After several years of my ornery elm tree dropping branches and limbs on the neighborhood, Im delighted to report that after a recent VERY heavy snowstorm tree was the only one in the hood that dropped not even a twig! SavATrees prescription for the beetles is obviously working great, and Ive mentioned it to all my neighbors.

Researching a tree trimming company. I got a mailer. Ive seen their trucks in my neighborhood. Most of the reviews on Google maps for this company are suspect. Ive spent way too long looking at these reviews. Most people that leave a review have less than 10 posts and they seem fake to boost the rating. The ones Ive seen with over 10 posts are not good. Sorry, but this is why I use Google reviews.

I had 3 maples and an apple tree trimmed about 2 1/2 weeks ago. The lead crew member explained to me about the amount of dead limbs that had to be removed on my trees in the back yard. He mentioned the soil round my trees is very compacted. My front maple is in good shape since there aren t other trees around it. I knew the back trees were suffering and the crew did what was necessary. The crew did a good job. I have been using Save-a-tree for several years and highly recommended their services.

Nick and his crew, Damien and Javier, were very professional and efficient. Nick was very informative and it was nice to hear that SavATree has a clear and lined out training process for safety. You could easily hear the crew communicate from the ground and in the tree so that risk was minimized. The area was cleaned and anything they moved in order to work was put back in its place. Ive already recommended them to my coworker!

SavATree did an outstanding job yesterday giving my trees a great pruning to get branches away from my house and keep trees healthy by getting rid of deadwood and suckers. Only review because the man driving north on Wadsworth Blvd today (6/3/23) at around 3:15 pm didnt strap down branches and they were flying out of the back of his truck. One almost hit my car and was causing people to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting them.

This company has restored my faith in customer service. As someone who has worked customer service for 20 years and come to the conclusion that since COVID, customer service EVERYWHERE has gone downhill... SavATree has restored it! Yesterday, we had a weird wind storm which caused my front tree to split, which was partial on the front of the house and blocking most of my neighbors driveway(thankfully a rental and vacant right now) Tony was awesome and was able to have Jonathon come out, who was able to get a crew out the next day to help clear the debris and remove my tree. (very sad to see it go but had to) They cleaned up after themselves and werent robots when having a conversation with them. I really appreciate the fact that they went above and beyond for short notice freak of mother nature mishap. Otherwise, I would had to wait on some other company who was booked out until next week and didnt even attempt to get me in or a solution(I am okay with getting referrals if a company cant get a customer in.. dad taught me that who is a small business owner) I recommend this company 100%!

We were very impressed by the professional job that the tree trimmers did this morning. I watched as they methodically cut down the dead Aspen, and they let me point out the branched we wanted removed from the Pine tree that was touching our house. They raked up all the small branches that fell, and chipped them along with the large pieces of the Aspen, then swept up the leaves and twigs that ended up on the street. We had Olivia the arborist out and her crew Sam, Richard, and Griffin for 3 days to work on safety trimming two huge century plus cottonwoods (one on a hill and both over structures) as well as 13 evergreens. A job that took a very high level of skill /technical know-how, equipment and planning to do it right. Jonathan Raleigh came by yesterday answering a plea from me to look at the many brown needles on our trees .he came out when he said that he would and fortunately they were fine he has been a very consistent help with our trees he is also just such a good person! Not worth the cost. I took the tree down myself and rented a stump grinder. Do not recommend. Very expensive and not local.

We have been so impressed with Savatree since we bought our house 7 years ago. They have supported us with care and management with trees that have been in the ground decades (including the safe removal of a 70+ year Locust tree) as well as ones we have just put in the ground and helping them thrive. Our arborist Jonathan is always willing to answer questions, take care of things on the spot, and help us with what we can handle vs what we need their help on. They may not be the cheapest but their quality is worth every penny.

Our arborist, Cody, is fantastic. He is very responsive and detailed. Hes given us honest suggestions for things that should be done, things that dont need to be done, and things that can be put off for a while. Hes helped us with tree trimming, tree cabling, tree removal, stump grinding, and pest control.

Very satisfied with my experience with the company. Marissa, the arborist who met with me, was outstanding in every way. She oversaw the treatment of my ash trees for EAB. Customer service was excellent throughout.

This company lacks of professionalism, knowledge, and basic communication skills to properly care for your tree care needs. Improper planting technics and no supervision for crews. They are quick to pull warranty and don t take ownership of their issues.

Let s just call them Kill-A-Tree. They butchered our more than 2 stories tall spruce. We are so dismayed at the lack of skill, outright carelessness and destruction wrought on our beloved spruce. How is this even possible that a so-called professional tree service company did this?? We re left with a gaping hole in the tree. An eyesore right in the front of our house. See photos:

I called to get an estimate at and they made an appointment for me a year later came out and injected my tree without my permission and charged me over $300 to do this do this without my permission. There was no reason for them to be on my property a year later trying to maintenance my tree. I do not recommend this company and be careful if you call for an estimate because they may put you on their list a year later to do work on your property you didnt approve. They claim a gentleman gave them permission to do the work but he doesnt even live there and went as far as refering to him as my husband.

We started with them this season for irrigation, lawn, and tree care. So far they have been absolutely amazing. Super super responsive. All the workers that have come to the house are very nice and professional. Really just great service. Highly recommend them.

Savatree has taken care of our trees for several years and they do an excellent job. We recently lost several large branches from one of our trees in a snowstorm. We called for an appointment for tree trimming and got one in less than a week. Their arborist, Jeff Erber, came today and was able to take care of our problem. He was knowledgeable, professional and very kind and friendly.

I m writing to send my sincere thanks to the team who came to my street and house to clear downed tree limbs from a recent spring storm. I live in North Park Hill, and huge limbs from my Siberian elms came crashing down under the weight of a heavy snow early Friday morning. One of the limbs was so large it blocked passage on my street. I called the police non-emergency line to report the problem, in the hope that the city could have the street cleared by the time school started at the elementary across the street. The dispatcher told me she couldn t be sure, as calls were coming in from all across the city. Sometime around 11 a.m., one of your crews showed up, and they cleared not only the debris from the street, but also from the sidewalk in front of my house, and my front yard. We had multiple, really large limbs come down, and my yard was covered. Your crew took care of cleaning up every single one of them! They then continued up the street, stopping and clearing other areas with downed tree limbs. I went outside to thank them, and was so, so grateful for their help that I teared up. They were simply wonderful went above and beyond to help out not just me, but undoubtedly dozens more homeowners/families across the Denver area. I don t know their names, but they were super friendly and really did not just a terrific job, but a terrific service to the community. Faith in humanity restored!

I cut down a 20 tree myself, and was looking for someone to grind a stump and chip the tree limbs/branches (not the trunk - that was already discarded). My neighbor had SavATree coming later that week and recommended I connect with them. I called them 3 times and left voicemails with no response. I indicated I understood their schedule may be booked, and was willing to pay them to chip the tree limbs/branches and schedule to do the stump grinding later. No response. The day they arrived at my neighbors home, my wife stepped outside and verbally made the same request. They said they would step over in a few minutes to discuss. Well they lied. They left w/out ever coming by. They easily could have earned a couple hundred bucks for 15 minutes of work to toss some limbs in a chipper. They could have also scheduled a follow-up for more business on grinding the stump. Apparently they have enough business already.

Not all arborists - and tree companies are created equal. My arborist at Savatree is professional and loves trees as much as I do. I spent $5,000+ last year on new trees. My arborist, Jonathan Raleigh is working with me to keep them alive and happy is this crazy Colorado climate. Kudos to Jonathan and the team!

We did not have a positive experience with this company. We had a tree installed in the back yard and hedges in the front yard in May 2021. First, they could not give an estimate on the time of day they would arrive, just sometime on Friday. The crew showed up first thing in the morning to do the installation, then told me that the gas line had not been checked and they would have to come back in a few weeks after the gas lines were identified. Turns out the gas lines had been checked and the crew came back later that same day. The crew arrived in the afternoon tired, hungry, and grumpy. They were rude and their agitation showed in the work. I told the arborist who did the bid and the crew the morning that they arrived that there were sprinklers under the dirt where the tree was to be planted and that the line would have to be moved (this was accounted for in the bid we received). While the crew was digging the hole for the tree, they found the white PVC sprinkler line and broke it - the guy came and got me and was upset with me because he thought the sprinkler line would be a black rubber tube - he acted like it was our fault that he broke the sprinkler line that we told him was there. They broke plants in my garden by pulling the hose through it (they didnt ask if they could use the hose) and broke iris blooms next to the tree installation site. They tracked mud all over my patio. They left the hose out in the grass. They put some mulch down around the tree, but not nearly enough - they left a few inches in front of the tree between the tree and the grass line and a few inches behind the tree between the tree and the fence. I had to go buy more mulch to fill in the gaps. The hedges are much too small for the space and will take years to grow in - not what we asked for and not what we were told we were getting. They left without telling us they were done. They did not provide any instructions on how to care for the tree or hedges. This company did not provide the cheapest bid, we went with them because they were supposed to be a professional company with first rate service. I recommend you find a different company.

Jonathan Raleigh is the best arborist! He is extremely responsive and cares about our trees. We had a huge old Maple that finally became a hazard, and he made sure to get it removed before the blizzard in March 2021. Whenever we have questions about our trees, we contact Jonathan. He always answers our questions promptly and in a friendly manner. His prices for services are honest and fair. We are grateful for Jonathan at SavATree and give him our highest recommendation.

Terrible company my neighbors used. They weren t present when work was done and I came home to every plant in my front area destroyed, broken branches, moved rocks from landscaping. They also left branches in the homeowners yard, my yard and the street. Parked my car in front of my house and as I was cleaning up there mess a branch fell on my car. There s somehow even debris on my porch. Disgusting excuse for a company.

First off I had to wait two weeks for a appointment and in my opinion thats ridiculous. And then when the representative showed up he did not even contact me so I could talk to him and let him know what I wanted done and ask questions. He just wrote an estimate which I considered totally immaterial because he did not know what I wanted done.

Very nice guys, little high on the prices, I know they would be great, but way out of my budget.

Ive now used SavATree for about two years. Have used them for tree service and lawn. My lawn is 50+ years old and I was having difficulty getting it to be thicker and stronger. Alex told me it would take about two years and he was right! Lawn now looks substantially better!

I am having difficulty getting Savatree to return $422 to me for a double payment of the same invoice. They have acknowledged receipt and cashing of both checks and assured me that corporate will return one of these payments. I have contacted them several times over the last three months with no results. They will not answer the phone nor return my call. I have been a customer for over 42 years. Not a good way to treat your customers.

Expensive but worth it

I had the best experience with this company. Renae the delivery woman saved me hours of work, was nice, and dropped my mulch off where I needed it. Also the quality of the mulch is outstanding. Price was good Im very happy. I will be using this company again, proud to support a local business.

We have been using Save a Tree for any bed of years and they do a great job. It makes a huge difference in our lawn. Ours is one of the first to come back each spring and stays green through the summer, not to mention weed free.

Terrible, horrible company--please use anyone else. Our neighborhood wanted trees trimmed on nine properties, so we contacted SavATree. They came out, took down phone number and email. They went silent on us we didn t hear back from them. So we found and hired a different company, who sent us a written estimate and a place to sign and return as a contract. The other company came out March 12 and did a great job. Then SavATree came out four days later on March 16, when no one was home. Saw our freshly trimmed tree and TRIMMED IT AGAIN?!? Now this tree looks terrible, we had an arborist come look at it and he said he would never have a tree trimmed like that. I have written SavATree a letter, should our tree die from the damage caused by their incompetent workers, we will bill them for dead tree removal, stump removal, and planting of a replacement tree. Also, SavATree charged MORE THAN DOUBLE the price of the other company. Also, forget customer service. I tried to talk to them on the phone about their never sending me a written quote or getting approval from me like the other professional company did, but no luck. I wrote them a letter, they never responded, they just charged me an extra $14.63 Finance Charge. There is a reason you see so many other one star reviews of SavATree. Terrible, horrible company--please use anyone else.

They are overpriced for most services. Had issues with their AP following through with what they offered. They are quick to get you on a schedule and send you a bill, but getting to the work on your property doesnt seem to be a priority. All of the employees that come preform the services have seemed to be very knowledgeable and professional, thats why I am going with the 3 stars...

Sharon Blackstock at SavATree is a GODSEND for any looking for true experience, insight and affordable solutions for their lawn and tree care. From our home of non-green thumbs, Sharon made it easy to consult and find the best solution our HOA required, even late in the season to begin this work for the results we wanted to restore our lawn and weed issues. Highly recommend!

**UPDATE TO REVIEW: Kelly for the district office contacted me and apologized for the customer service and came right out to assess tree. In 5 minutes he told me what was wrong and what to do. He was very knowledgeable. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE Called on June 10th to schedule a tree check. They said they were 2 weeks out and that someone would call me back to schedule. Fine. Two weeks later no one has called to schedule so I call to see what s up. Leave a message. They call back to say that they are scheduling 2 weeks out. I call back and speak with someone and explain that I already called on the 10th and my visit should be this week. They had me in as just calling today but after looking into it they found I had called on the 10th. Schedular will call back. Christina in Denver office called my back and we spoke. She again explained they were scheduling two weeks out. I again explained that I had called two weeks earlier but no one called back to schedule. Her response: Well we have had lots of tree damage and we need to put our existing customers first so we can t come out for two weeks. When asked if I would like schedule I replied no because I don t care to deal with a company that has bad customer service. She responded: Well if you don t want to deal with us then we would rather not deal with you. Nice. Kind of hard to get existing customers if you are rude to potnential new customers.

Sam Shroyer came over as the new arborist for our area in the 80222 zip code. Not only did he undersrand our question, he actually trimmed a pine tree correctly and safely, done in 5 minutes. On the way to our back yard to the distressed tree, he noticed a peculiar pattern on leaves of some shrubs. He voluntarily took a picture , emailed it, got us a definitive answer, and reassured us . Truly outstanding service.

Wow...where to start. 1st appt was supposed to be to fix our broken sprinkler heads. Scheduled an appt - tech shows up 4 hrs early. The tech that showed up was way too busy to do a repair (his words) so he takes a look and says he will write it up for someone else to come out. I asked him what is the labor rate was for repair and he says $25/hr... seemed kinda low to me but agreed to move forward. Then i get a bill for $99 for a system start up which was paid before i could stop it. I call and speak to Tom Martin and discuss appt. 1 and he agrees to apply the $99 to the next bill because the first tech did not start up the system. Appt. 2...schedule an appt...tech shows up hours early again. He did level the sprinklers but now I have two of those sprinklers that dont work! Receive another bill for $373.50 with no credit from appt. #1. Call their office - first i am told that the $99 was refunded to my card...I told them the charge never came thru...then I am told I am not sure...I will have to check with Tom since he didnt give us instructions on what to do. Get a call back and now Tom is stating that since his tech diagnosed unlevel sprinkler heads that the $99 charge is valid. WHAT??? Waiting on call back...

Save a tree does good work but their accounting system, web site and Denver call tree are bad.

I love my backyard and my front landscape. I planted all new privacy hedges due to the inability because of hoa restrictions to build a privacy fence. It is important to promote growth and health of my plants. I contacted SavATree because they have an organic blend of fertilizer lines that I wanted to use. I have had a super experience with the growth of my plants as well as the recommendations given by Jonathan Raleigh. I was not prompted to spend more money than need be and will have an arborist that will help me become more knowledgeable on my landscaping and assist with it thriving which is so important after the time and money investment. Thank you SavATree!

SavATree did some pruning for me on three of my trees and on one of my neighbors. The arborist I dealt with (Sam Shroyer) is personable, responsive and competent. And the three men on the crew that did the work were the same. They were efficient and obviously capable, and Im very pleased with the results. I have had SavATree do tree work for me before this, and they also provide some lawn services for me. I \will certainly hire them again.

I used Swingle for years with great results. Since SavATree has taken over, the scheduling, quality and billing has completely been down graded. I waited for months for them to show up and do one simple tree. When they finally did, there was no communication that the job was done so I didnt know to pay. A couple months later I get letters about my being seriously late on paying. Well first of all, it wasnt as Seriously late as they were completing the job! I accidentally paid a late charge when I found out I was due and when I realized this asked for the money back based on their mistake, not mine. They said they will not refund it. Not to mention the tree doesnt even look like it was trimmed. Not only will I never use them again, I will make sure everybody in my business network knows about this and takes their business elsewhere. They have made 10s of thousands off me and my friends and we all deserve better.

The tree cutting crew ,were very rude disrespectful and unprofessional. Called Hq To resolve this matter ..the manager was in a meeting..no call back no follow up nothing ! Horrible work ethics.

Edit oh brother. Just send me an invoice already. My wife was home all day Thursday. I had roofers and an adjuster out and in and out and in, via that gate all day Friday. Your man called at 6pm on Friday night to apologize and we left it at talk on Tuesday . I locked up then and only then. And when you again didn t do what you said, when you said you would, call on Tuesday, did I post a review. Got ya to call me though didn t it? I have had Swingle work on a couple of the very large trees over the last 8 years. Initially, they were higher in price but I liked the service. With the last snow storm I had a 40 bough come down, partly, onto my house. They had an estimator come within hours and we agreed to work and time. The crew showed up and were friendly however, they brought down the bough but left huge amounts of branches and debris in my roof, patios and yard. Plus they left the entire bough up against my house right outside a patio door. I was told after leaving a message they were coming back the next day. Nothing. Called and left another message. Nothing. Was told via email they would be out the next day. Nothing. Got a phone call they would be out Tuesday because of the Memorial Day holiday. Nothing. Left another message. Not sure what to do but I would warn they don t seem to answer the phone and they can no longer seem to hit their service marks. Plenty of options in the market but if you are like me, you find a provider you like and you stick with them. Disappointed. I ended up renting a chainsaw so I could get the bough off of my screen door and patio. Ended up Bagstering the small branches and cutting the logs down to size. My advice shop around. And while I disappointed, I learned how to use a 20 chainsaw and the rental only cost $67/24 hours and came with safety equipment via Home Depot. Plus, now my kids think I can do something pretty cool.

Always reliable and cost effective

Service and quality has sure declined. Paid upfront this year and since they don t provide a courtesy call any more I don t even know if they have showed up. I ve had to take care of the weeds myself since if they did show up they did a very bad job. Tru Green might be getting my business unless this improves.

Great customer service. I have a maple tree that was damaged by a lightning strike some years ago, and it was ailing pretty badly to the point I thought Id have to cut it down. Theyve been able to treat it and recommended a good trimmer; it is doing fine two years later.

I hired SavATree for routine tree pruning. When I received an estimate the person told me I would be serviced in 4-6 weeks. 9 weeks later I finally received an email that I was on the schedule. On the day I was scheduled, no one showed up. I called the local office and they had no idea I was emailed that I had been scheduled. Seeing as I wasnt given a choice of the day I was getting service and I had things to do that day, my girlfriend took an unpaid day off from work. They finally came a week later and when I received the invoice I asked for a credit to cover the unpaid day of work my girlfriend took and they refused to issue a credit of any kind. The 100% satisfaction thing is BS like many others have stated in the reviews. They do not care about you or your time. Read the many other unhappy reviews and you will notice a pattern. I wish I had. In response to the owner reply, the only way to get into my backyard to prune the tree in there is to be let in from the inside so someone was required to be home and I was never given an option to work around that, which is just another area your company failed. It s unfortunate you run such a poorly reviewed business, not that someone took a day off to be home. If I were you I would take a look at all the 1 star reviews on Yelp and do some business introspection to figure out why. Instead of sarcastic apologies for backlogs, just show up on the day you say you will and honor your 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Swingle was purchased by SavATree and stopped using this company afterwards. Had a number of quality and customer service issues.

I do not write this review lightly. I used Swingle last year, seemed to do fine. Kept them coming back this year. They were working on the north half of my property, which is some native grasses...but mostly weeds, as of right now. I noticed the weeds were worse than normal this year, even though they had been coming out. Weve got two dogs that I like to keep an eye on, and set a Nest cam out that way. Today was the 4th application, the gentleman showed up, looked around and left. No treatment, no phone call to see what needed to be done... I genuinely dont believe I wouldve heard anything from them, but wouldve gotten the bill. And now, I wonder if they actually did any of the treatments this year, looking at how bad the weeds were...Im highly disappointed and feel like I duped out of a couple hundred dollars.

I have never done business with Swingle, until ... A while back I requested an estimate for tree removal. The estimate also included recommended landscaping for 2018. I never responded, used a different vendor. Today I received an INVOICE for the next years worth of recommended landscaping. VERY SLEAZY. I left a message via voice mail. Made it VERY clear that I have not contracted with them for any service. They had BETTER never do any work on my property or send me another fake invoice.

Talk about a lack luster company! They sub contract out the job with SAVATREE which when I walk in the door after a day of Mayhem! I work for a garage door company and go into peoples homes on a daily basis and Im expected to present myself properly ! As I walk in the door My wife says the rep Charley Schreiber is rude, unprofessional and blatantly did not want the job! He also refused to provide a handwritten quote for the job. By no means well I recommend this company for anybody!

GARBAGE company. Fall aeration services produced shallow plugs so I opted not to use them again. Came home to a surprise of plugs all over the lawn and a door hanger for the services I didn t ask for. I emailed through the Swingle website, and got no response. I ve sent 3 emails now through the Savatree email that came on an invoice I got in the mail, asking for the charges to be removed and to not send anybody out again, none of which have gotten a response yet. On to BBB unless I get something soon...

apparently swingle dont need new business. went in to their firestone store fri morn 4/13/18 left all my info including 3 phone numbers.no call back. called back late fri lady assured me someone would be in contact mon. called late mon talking to lady got disconnected. its a shame im a business owner right across highway from you. i believe in keeping business in my town shame i had to call someone else because of someone not doing their job

Quality based, customer service

I cancled my service with them after I got an unexpected bill from them. The next year, they came out, without talking to me, performed a service on my trees that knocked down all the birds nests, and then charged me for it. I talked to them about it on the phone, and they said I wouldnt be charges for it after all. A month later, I get a letter saying Im past due on the payment!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Tom Martin came to our place yesterday and not only explained how to heal our favorite tree but made several other useful and economic suggestions. Well continue consulting with him as we approach the tree treatment and pruning season! Highly recommended without reservation.

Now with SavATree, Tom is able to provide a wider range of services than before - specifically regarding a severe fire blight problem in a prominent crabapple tree. I cannot even get ahold of this company to fire them!! I had used Mountain High for over 23years and was very happy with their attention to detail and personal service. Several days ago 2 Sav a tree people came out and applied a pesticide that I did not want on my apple tree- they left a note saying they treated the crabapple tree when it is very obvious at this point it is an apple tree (almost mature apples dangling from branches) . I called and asked for an arborist to discuss Ash trees etc several times over the last month -no response, called left messages -no response. It is so sad to see this happen. Unfortunately I must take my business elsewhere.

Tom Martin came to our house to give us a bid on tree trimming. Tom was on time, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Tom shared with me the number of clients he has, which I find hard to believe, in the best sort of way, because of the service he has always delivered to us. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and is so patient when I pick his brain with my questions. What I appreciate most about Tom is he doesnt try to sell me services I dont need, which makes me just that much more confident in his recommendations.

DO NOT TAKE A CUSTOMER SERVICE POSITION WITH THIS COMPANY... I have honestly never encountered a place like this. It may be a good job for someone who likes drama and is only coming to work to socialize with the girls, but if you value yourself and work ethics, my suggestion is to look elsewhere. They have had a large amount of turn over since the merge, but they wont tell you that. Youll hear it on the floor once you start shadowing for 2 weeks... and when you tell them whats really going on on their floor, you will become the problem. Just my opinion. Ive never been let down enough to write a review but this place threw me for a loop. Luckily I figured it out quickly. Good luck.

My lawn looks beautiful, but . . . Beware, after the change from Swingle to the merged company of SaveATree, things have gone downhill. Last year and early this year, I proudly showed off pictures of my dirt farm turned beautiful lawn and recommended the company to several friends and co-workers. This year, however, my feelings have changed. Unfortunately, their billing is poor - apparently, they automatically sign you up for what you had last year. I was okay with that as I was happy with the way my lawn looked and wanted to continue the service. I paid online and was only able to pay in full - I did not have the option to make a partial payment. As the summer progressed, I regularly received calls confirming service dates and at the conclusion of each service, the balance due was deducted from the pre-paid balance. It was perfect until October 26 when suddenly when suddenly, I got a bill for an additional $130+. Ive tried multiple times to get SaveATree to explain to me what the additional charges are and have explained that I pre-paid for everything. They either under billed me at the beginning of the year (meaning, they had a bait and switch on the price) or performed services I did not request. I tried several times to get them to help me understand, but their latest attempt to explain what happened was to send me a copy of my final services from 2017. Im tired of fighting it. I just paid the additional $130 to make it go away. An additional challenge this year was disturbing. SaveATree has always indicated that my dog must stay off the lawn for 1 1/2 - 2 hours after they treat the lawn. I have a doggy door and cant lock the dog up in the house (she starts tearing up walls when locked in), so I arranged with SaveATree for them to call me in advance to ensure I could be home when service was performed. It was a pain, but it typically worked out. On one occasion, I simply couldnt take the whole day off work to wait, so I asked for a call 30 minutes in advance so that I could come home and keep the dog inside. They agreed. By 3:00, I had not yet received a call that they were on the way and I left the office to head home. As I pulled into the driveway, I noticed a flyer on the door indicating that they had already performed the service and my gate was WIDE OPEN. I closed the gate and immediately called the company. They were less than concerned when I told them that they never called as promised and seemed disinterested when I told them my dog had likely been outside on the grass she wasnt supposed to walk on, that my gate was open, and that the dog was licking her paws. The person I spoke with said, Your dog will probably be fine, but you can call your vet if you want. I want to love this company as my lawn has never looked better, but I will not put my dogs health on the line and will not subject myself to deceptive/dishonest billing practices. I will be looking for a new provider next year.

NOTE...This review is originally posted as a 2 star. See Below update. I have been using Swing for 3 yrs. This last year has become ridiculous with getting anything done. Working with the office has been a joke. I have had basically the same plan in place for those 3 years. Now just getting scheduled aeration done has become a hassle and my oak tree that they have been treating for those three years looks even worse. The office does not follow up and when you call, its the same old sound and dance that someone will get back to you....and no one does. I posted the above review with 2 stars. Since then, Keith (an abornist with Swingle/Sav A Tree) was able to go through my account and get it updated correctly. Keith has been very easy to work with and has made me feel more like a valued customer. I renewned my plan with them for another year. Heres hoping 2019 goes back to normal. I have changed my star rating to a 4.

I used Swingle for number of years for lawn aeration as well as fertilizer and weed applications but cancelled my service with them in 2016. The service had fallen of the last few years and they seemed to show up when they felt like it for lawn aeration in the spring and fall. After several missed appointments I cancelled their service and found somebody else. I dont think they valued my business and frankly it wasnt worth the headache to get them to do things. I am revising this because one of the treatments they did years ago for me worked really well, it was for necrotic ring spot. The previous lawn company I used never did anything about it and it started after they had been doing my aeration and weed/feed treatments. Swingles treatment for it cleared up the problem so if you have this on your lawn I would recommend them.

I recently had a Swingle crew prune two 75 year-old Cottonwood trees. They arrived promptly, communicated the options available to me, and expressed concurrence with my choices. They did a commendable job of cleaning up after the pruning was complete. They went above and beyond my expectations. Great Job!

OMG! Swingle is the worst! Every time they touched something in my yard it had be re-done. And they had the nerve add trip charges ($65) every time they had to come back to fix something they installed improperly in the first place! Ever wonder why they record every phone call? oh, you didnt know they were recording you? Take your business somewhere else - these guys are THE worst!

Weve been using Swingle for a decade and they are first class in every service they provide from trimming our old trees to fertilizing our lawn. I also admire the professionalism of their crews.

The staff at Swingle are very responsive. And they are always very careful about closing the garden gates and making sure our windows are closed before spraying.

I spoke with the company about exactly how I wanted my trees cut. The man who came and I had a very detailed conversation and came to a great agreement that would keep the tree balanced and healthy. The man apparently didnt communicate any of the lengthy conversation to his subordinate. They butchered my tree. When I called to complain, he was very rude and called me uneducated and stupid. He continued insulting me and I had enough.I will never use this service again and wouldnt recommend it to anyone but someone wanting to clear cut log.

He came an aerated fine but they broke a sprinkler head and when we called they said they would fix it when they were in the area. Its been almost 2 weeks now and still no word from them.

Recently, Trey and Daniel, of the Swingle crew removed 5 dead trees and a large (very prickly) cactus from my yard. They were the best! We used Swingle to take care of the weeds in our play-yards for the dogs we train. Because it was a nice day, the dogs were in their outdoor units. The applicator did not check in with us before applying the product and began spraying around the dogs before we even knew he was here. He then left our (incorrect) invoice on a door we dont use without telling anyone. Perhaps the worst part is the extreme lack of customer service. Upon calling and talking to someone, there wasnt so much as an Im sorry or well do better next time. I would not recommend for anyone.

Swingle has been taking care of our lawn for several years now. One year we switched to another lawn company, but was not happy with the outcome. We came back to Swingle and have not left since. Very happy with their service - staff always very professional; trees have done very well each year; lawn has always looked great. They review the lawn and trees prior to service, leaving a detail note on what they did, and advice on if we need to water more or less.

We have had Swingle caring for our lawn for a few years. Last week we were very disappointed to learn that Japanese beetle grubs are the probable cause of large brown patches in our lawn. However, we had to learn this independently of Swingle who just kept telling us we were not watering enough. (This made no sense because of the location of the brown patches relative to our sprinklers, sun exposure, etc.) We do have an infestation of the beetles on our grape vine which is close in proximity to the brown lawn areas. We did notice the beetles last year but had no idea they could impact the lawn. Had Swingle been diligent in their lawn care, they could have alerted us to this and treated for the grubs last year which might have avoided the severe lawn damage we have now. Incidentally there is an article on the Swingle website describing the damage that the beetle grubs cause and the importance of treating.

We have had our Pine trees sprayed by Swingle every year for Pine Beetle and they look great. We prepay by phone to save a few bucks. They always call before coming out and are professional in every aspect. I would recommend them for any lawn and tree service.

Swingle came out to trim 3 very large Ash trees and did an incredible job. They really looked at the trees for Emerald Ash Bore, which we do not have, and suggested yearly checks to watch for this insect. They also trimmed a 20 ft. cedar tree and did a great job. They were on time, they cleaned up very well and were great to work with.

We have used Swingle for tree trimming, tree removal, regular lawn treatments and irrigation servicing. They live up to my expectations, they come in, get the job done and billing is correct and seamless. For tree services, expect to wait but their quality is top notch. We have been using them for ten years.
