They contract yard crews for service so do not have any control or direction. We had service starting in June but have not received service for the month of July. At this point our yard is massively overgrown and their own crews have refused to cut it due to length. Hope no one wastes their time with this company as it feels like a scam.
Do not use this company or attempt to get a quote. Even after unsubscribing from texts they will spam you indefinitely from random numbers causing a massive headache without any way to get off of their list. Poor business practices.
Terrible customer communication and overall customer experience. Would not recommend to literally anyone. I requested to have a separate service done than my usual lawn mow. With no communication they ‘mowed my lawn’ anyways (there was nothing to mow??) and charged me $50 without ever even attempting to discuss the separate service requested. I was told my service would be canceled before I moved, they still charged me $50 the following month. When I called to discuss the confusion & frustration, they didn’t even remotely try to resolve the issue. They required a $50 payment for a house I no longer live at and had zero remorse for their mistakes or the miscommunication on their end. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
This company came out to my house so they could mow my front yard grass for a good price. Some from the company came and took pictures of the side of the house that I didn't want mowed. And didn't bother knocking on the door to talk about what I wanted cut. Then sent the pictures to me say they couldn't mow the grass for the price I was told. The price would be triple from the first price. So I canceled There service and explained why I was canceling. They emailed me back and blamed me for they not do the job. So unprofessional to not talk to the client before deciding to not do the job thats lazy.
As another poster stated, do not waste your money on this company! Their costs are on the higher end of other quotes I have gotten (after the fact). They do not show up when they are scheduled. We were out of town when they supposedly came by and when we returned two days later, the lawn was already long. I don't believe they even came. Another time, they mowed half of the lawn and left never to return. I am constantly emailing support and I never get a response from the same person. It is just "We are sorry, someone will be there in a few days". In the meantime, my lawn is a foot tall.
Worst company ever. Job was not completed but was charged full price. Let half bag of lawn clippings on side of my house as well as my lawn. Didn’t edge nor did they mow my back yard. Worst customer service ever. Was told I could not get a refund and it didn’t matter that the job wasn’t finished. Offered to send someone out to complete but it would have been another day. To top it off this was my first service and now my last.
This was the worst service experience I have ever encountered! As soon as I signed up this company attempted to change the terms of the agreement! I did not agree to the new terms. However, they managed to bill $9.00 to my credit card for "attempting" to mow the lawn during the last massive snow storm! Dishonest, Incompetent, and Unethical. These TERRIBLE people have caused me several thousands of dollars worth of property damage, and I’ve lost 6+ months of peace of mind. Do NOT use this company! I used Lawn Starter twice. On the first service, there was no damage to my property, but I spent more than an hour cleaning up after their mess. They did a lousy job. My property looked worse than it did before they arrived. Also, my car was covered in grass. You can read more about this below, but for now, I need to elaborate on the damage to my home AND car. On the second visit things went from bad to devastating. Minutes after the stranger left my home, I took a walk around my property to survey the results. This is when I found thousands of dollars worth of Weed-Wacker damage. My car had a huge gash taken out of the bumper, my brand new downspouts were mangled, the wooden beam perimeter of my gardens were scratched, and the siding in my backyard was ripped to shreds. There are also a few vertical scratches running up the length of the siding. I was in disbelief when I discovered the damages. Clearly, Lawn Starter hires people that aren’t good enough to work for real, and legitimate companies. I spent more than an hour on-hold waiting to speak to customer service. I was hoping to receive a call back from a manager, or perhaps have a supervisor stop by my home to take a look at the damages. Eventually, I found an email for customer service and sent over a detailed explanation of the problem, with pictures of the damages. Over the next few months, I emailed back and forth with them. It generally took several days, or a few weeks to receive each response. It annoys me that instead of confronting me head on, they gave me the run-around via email instead. I was never given the time or attention I felt I deserved. Every response had an uninterested tone, with little information, and never once contained an apology. They treated me like I was worthless to them. I felt completely disrespected. Clearly, they were only trying to delay me. Eventually, I asked them for their proof of insurance so I can contact their insurance company. Months have gone by, and they never responded. When a customer asks for your proof of insurance, it is mandatory to provide said proof. I never heard back from anyone. What bothered me the most about the communication (or lack of) with Lawn Starter was the amount of stress it put on me. I’ve had to worry about this subject every day for months. They’ve robbed me of my peace of mind, which is invaluable. Setting aside my negative feelings for their negligence, I think it is hilarious to note that they did a terrible job servicing my property. A few spots were overlooked and left unattended, meanwhile, the paved surfaces were never blown off. Twice, I was forced to spend more than an hour sweeping off my patio, porch, driveway, and walkways. It took me longer to clean up their mess than it did to cause the mess. A portion of the contractual agreement states, “...Blowing off paved surfaces...”. Therefore, amongst the damage, they failed to complete their contractual agreement, and denied reimbursement or compensation. On their website, they boast about their “Fully Insured Professionals” , and “Quality Guarenteed: If you are not happy, we will not charge you. Simple as that.” Isn’t it ironic that they refused to reimburse me for their services? These fraudulent con-artists should be thrown in prison.

Horrible customer service and support..messaging through the app apparently does not work to get a hold of your crew...was told I would have service Wednesday..it is now Friday and absolutely no word..been calling and messaging for 2 days..no word..on hold for more than 15minutes at a time.. Apparently they have options through the app and via phone to report problems ... obviously a continuing issue for all..very frustrated and will be contacting them again to let them know...

I signed up with these guys and they were amazing for the first week. Super responsive and helpful. As soon as they had me submit a review on them they cancelled my service 3 times. There is no real client support or accommodation. Please avoid them.
Horrible experience, 1st mower ghosted me, 2nd mower showed up at 7 PM and wandered around the neighboorhood sketching out my neighbors. I was promised for a $19/first time deal and both mowers refuse to do it for that price, so then Im just confused and both tried to poach me. Never got my lawn mowed. Complete waste of time.
My yard was a jungle, and I received a quote from lawn care professionals that worked to get it entirely under control. I recommend the service for finding providers that otherwise wouldnt be easy to find, and giving local businesses more work!

I havent had the best experience with them. Sometimes, they just skip my services but still charge me. Then they act like its no big deal when I call them about it.
Terrible service! My service kept getting delayed by time they showed up my grass was super long and charged me for it. My crew kept getting changed. They charged me for a lawn treatment that never happened. Disappointed in this app do not wast your time or money! Unprofessional!

What a joke. DONT USE THIS COMPANY. I just requested a quote for weekly mowing, weed control in rocks and grass, aeration and power raking for a commercial property. That is not good enough! They wont quote unless I let them mow while they are out there, and use another service such as gutter cleaning or yard clean up. WTH!!
Ive used the service for over 2 years. I use Felipe, and his crew. Theyre fantastic. Great customer service. Always friendly. Felipe is patient with all my questions and gives me great suggestions. Ive even referred them to my neighbors. Highly recommend this service.
Truly the worst experience I ve had w a lawn company. First of all, Lawn Love and Lawn Starter are the same company. Last year we used Lawn Love because the ease of the app was enticing. When we realized they were rarely showing up when expected we started to get frustrated. After we reported this and received subpar customer service we moved on. This year, in May, we decided to give them another shot in hopes that they got it together as the app, again, seems super convenient. I scheduled mowing and leaf pick up three weeks ago, received notification that they picked the leaves up (they didn t even show up). So when I made (two) reports to customer service, they just stopped responding. So I looked for another company as back up until I heard back from them. Enter Lawn Starter who is THE SAME COMPANY. So, because I now had two appointments with the same company they pushed my original appointment another week (to the backup appointment). I was trying to give Lawn Love a chance to show up before I canceled w them. 3 weeks later, they finally show up when it s raining and tell me they ll be back on Fri as they clearly can t mow in the rain. They never showed up. No call, nothing. I called customer service as, at this point, they ve charged me $118 for services their provider said they performed but all the cameras on my property clearly show they did not. Customer service was very hard to understand and told me that provider had been let go of. Fine, that wasn t my aim, just want my yard serviced. And, instead of refunding me, as I requested, they said I d get a free mow credit. HOW is this free when you ve already charged me twice the amount of 1 mow? Still haven t heard back, my lawn is totally out of control, not getting anywhere w customer service, out $118 dollars and reluctant to call customer service back because they re clearly uninterested in actually helping. This has been an awful AWFUL experience. Do not recommend, save your money.

James and his colleague did a fine job pulling weeds in our yard. I was pleasantly surprised that, in addition to pulling the weeds in our yard, they also pulled them from the seams in the driveway and between the flagstones on our patio.
They literally left piles of grass all over my neighbors property and against my fence. I showed up and was shocked at how sloppy the job was. Absolutely horrible job for the price.

Worst experience ever! I hired LawnStarter to mow and edge my 83 year old mothers lawn. First mow went fine, but since then I have been rescheduled 5 times. Her lawn is now overrun with grass and weeds. I cant do anything about the weeds because everything is about a foot long! I contacted the crew, and was told that they would try to get to me on Wednesday morning at 9 am. 1 minute later, I was rescheduled for the weekend because of inclimate weather. It has been in the 90s and not a cloud in the sky for weeks! Dont bother registering a complaint on the app. They are unresponsive! If you are looking for lawn care, keep searching!

Same deal as the others. The mowers would reschedule at the last minute, then when they came back 5-15 days later, theyd charge me the long grass fee, which is literally 100% of the cost of the mow. I was once charged this fee in the middle of a weekly schedule, and I cannot believe grass is growing that fast if the mowers are doing their job. There are times I was charged and saw no mower arrive on my home security camera footage. Customer service was disappointing, making no significant effort to resolve my issue. Given that Im using this service because Im not at home to mow myself, I would expect them to be reliable and predictable. Theyre not.
I called to get my lawn in the backyard mowed, weeds in the front rock bed whacked and aeration with no treatments! Before the service on July 1 I informed that a riding lawn mower would probably not fit! On July 1 their crew came and again only brought a riding lawn mower and not back up plan and did not mow or whack any of the weeds on the front lawn! Instead they aerated the lawn and put a treatment on it after I had already said in the beginning I did not need it! They said they would be back either that day to finish the or the next! No one came! I called that Saturday explained what happened and a reschedule was down for July 4 which I don t know why but it was cancelled and rescheduled for today! Today someone came to the house took more photos sent another quote for extra things lawn still not done and now rescheduled for July 13th! This is absolutely not ok, I just want the lawn to get done so that it look better and so I called customer care to cancel! The call was answered I could hear people talking in the back ground and no one was saying anything it took about 20 hellos to get the rep to even speak, I spoke to a very extremely rude, argumentative rep named CHata, instead of listening to the customer she proceeded to tell me that what I asked for is what I got and I informed her again what I ask for and I didn t need treatment she said that what you said and tried to proceed to explain to me how I was wrong! I know what I asked for I know what I have said a million times what I needed! She then threaten to charge me the full amount if I cancelled for incomplete and services that were not rendered! I asked to speak to a manager and she said someone would have to call me back! She should not be speaking with customers she absolutely has not customer services skills and is absolutely incapable of healing and threatening people to charge them money when she is wrong is absolutely disgusting! Listen to your customers and follow through with the services that THEY your customers ask for, not what you want to do!!
Mario Valencia and Shane Norman gave me the absolute worst service ever. Shane Norman felt a need to to use foul language when he was approached about being rude to my wife so he never actually serviced our lawn. Mario Valencia Is absolute the worst Gardner I have ever had. when mowing my lawn instead of using the the attachment to catch the cut grass. He chose to leave it off and left all the cut grass on my lawn and said it was normal to leave mulch on my lawn in big clumps. Then of course once it dried it looked horrible. He also never blew the clippings from my sidewalk. First he stated he had an equipment malfunction and his back up blower was electric.and he did not have access to electricity. He never cut the grass in the back yard saying he could figure out how to open the gate. That was a first since all you need to do is pull the gate toward you it doesn t have a latch. Now that lie blew me away.The next time when he was question about not blowing the sidewalks he stated that due to his concern for the environment he only uses electric blowers.this guy obviously couldn t keep his lie straight and I hate liars. The fours years I have been with lean starters I have 2 great guys Juan and Jared. Hopefully the next guy will simple mow My lawn and not leave the cut grass on my lawn edge and blow. I am actually thinking about disputing the charge It s really that simple is that unreasonable. I don t think so. We shall see.
Based on the sharp downturn in reviews lately Im not convinced this is even a real business anymore. I scheduled my lawn to be cut and was told someone would come Friday. By 7pm no one had arrived or sent me a message so I asked when they were coming by. Aaron told me he would be there at 9am the next morning, didnt show, and when I messaged at 1:30pm asking what was going I received no response.
Didnt show up within the 24 to 48 hour window that was given. Lawn service guy canceled at the last minute, after I called the office wondering where he was. This was my 1st and last experience.
After using LawnStarter for a few months, the service became very poor. There were constant scheduling issues and when they did show up to mow my lawn, they mowed it far too short which is contributing to my dying grass and growth of weeds. I will not be using this service again.
This company requires a 3 cut minimum. BUT CANT GET SOMEONE OUT HERE to even do the second cut! If I cancel I get penalized, if I have long grass, I get penalized. Tell me where this is at all fair? If I could leave no stars I would and HIGHLY recommend taking your money somewhere more reliable and considerate. I was hesitant at first because the gentleman showed up in a car with 2 year expired tags and just pulled out a lawn mower. I appreciate he did the work we could not get to, but then for 4 days now has said he will be here then reschedules mid day. Dont waste your time or money with this company.
Poor quality of work. Looks like lawn was barely mowed. Edging, etc not completed either when it said it would be included as part of the service. Do not recommend.

This service is hit or miss. At first we were getting a lot of cancelations. Then for the majority of the summer we had decent, reliable crews. But, now, I am trying to pause service for the season and they wont let me because I have one more scheduled service to complete before theyll let me pause. I think its totally fair that I am required to follow through with my last scheduled service. Except - my last scheduled service was on October 29. Since then Ive had 2 cancellations, and the same guy has rescheduled on me 4 times so far. Three times it was due to a personal problem, and one time (November 7) he canceled due to inclement weather (which is weird, because it was a 50-degree day). This same guy keeps trying to upsell me on leaf cleanup too. If I could rely on him to actually show up, maybe Id agree to the service.

Communication is terrible, I asked for a quote for aeration and seeding and went round and round with different customer service people who didn t know I had already been contacted and kept sending links to fill out request forms which prompted someone new to call. Did not sign up for service because they could not tell me how much what I wanted done would cost.

Horrible company - I signed up for lawn mowing service, spoke with 3 different customer service reps, who all said they could be at my home within 3-4 days to mow the lawn. I signed up for their service, and gave my credit card information, expecting a crew to provide the service as described within the time frame promised. Well, later that night I received an email stating that they could not provide service to my area! Of course they already took my payment information. I will be monitoring for any fraudulent charges, and will update review if they charge me without providing any service, as many others have had happen to them. DO NOT USE LAWN STARTER!
Seemed like an easy service to sign up for. The phone agent seemed sharp. They never showed up, charged my card (stole my money) and have no meaningful means of communication. An agent will get back to you in 72 hours . How is this customer service? STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM
Do not use this company! I just bought and moved into a new house and set up lawn care services with them. They promised to mow my lawn within 2 days of registering with them. Two weeks and multiple complaints later, my yard has still not been mowed. They will promise to make it right and waive the long grass fee to keep you on the hook and then will eventually tell you they are too busy in your area. Then, you will be stuck finding another company and paying a significant long grass fee. Avoid the fees and headache by avoiding this company!

Terrible communication. Pushed the job multiple times resulting in incredibly high grass. Minimum of three jobs is garbage, too - if you do a good job, Ill pay you to come back. To require three says you get people canceling you all the time. Shouldnt have wasted my time.
I scheduled service with LawnStarter, and at no point during or after that process is it possible to ask questions, speak with a human, or engage in any kind of dialogue. I put in a request for service online, was forced to download an app to see any updates, and saw that my service was scheduled for that Saturday. I had no ability to influence the scheduling at all, I just had to accept the date that appeared. I received an email saying that they might be a day early, but who knows? Apparently lawn service is ineffable, and could occur at any time without warning. Friday came and went, and so did Saturday, and no lawn service. I checked the app, and it now said that they would be arriving Sunday or Monday. Spoiler alert: They did not. Today, Tuesday, I received an email saying that they could not service my area, and would not be providing lawn service, which presumably they could have told me last week when they were unable to schedule. I have still never been spoken to by any employee of the company, the service is simply cancelled in the app, and it is impossible to delete either my account or my payment method. The whole thing feels very much like a scam.
I tried to use this business for lawn service, but nobody showed up on the 2 days that were scheduled with no call, text or email to tell me that nobody was showing up. Then the day after someone was supposed to have already completed the service, which was almost a week after I booked the service, I get an email saying that there are no crews that fit my needs. All I need my lawn mowed. Now I have to start the process all over with someone who is hopefully competent. Dont bother scheduling with these people

I m signed up for weekly mowing and they haven t come by in a month (see my photo). My grass is 18 tall now and looks terrible. This company is also pretty terrible. I ve used them for two years and don t know why I stayed loyal. I ll be working with a new lawn care provider moving forward.

Lawn starter canceled my service and never notified me as to why they canceled my service. I only found out when they didnt show up and I contacted customer service. No reason given as to why they canceled and never showed up or contacted me. And nothing was done to correct the situation.
I signed up for lawn mowing service, got an appointment and thought I was good to go. The appointment time came and went an no one showed up. Two days after I was supposed to have my lawn mowed I received a form email from them saying they didnt have enough crews to get to me... sorry. If they couldnt get to me, they shouldnt have given me an appointment, or at the very least let me know the day of or day before that they werent going to make it. No showing a scheduled appointment is bad business. Besides the only companies with labor shortages are the companies not willing to pay their workers decent wages. I certainly will not be continuing my (non) services with Lawn (non) Starter.
They put me on the schedule with a two day window for service. By the end of the second day, no one had showed up. I called and was told it was escalated to management and I would receive a call from a manager within 24 to 48 hours. No phone call. Then I receive an email stating they could not find anyone who could meet my needs for the service I required. So now its been another week and I have to start all over again. What a terrible business and terrible service.

I signed up for a lawn mowing service on Tuesday, customer service associate told me the crew would be here Wednesday, Thursday OR Friday. Ok, fine, just as long as I get my lawn mowed. Well, its now Friday and after no communication with any employee whatsoever over the course of the 3 days that they had to get my lawn mowed, the app (that you are forced to download) said that the service was canceled with no future appointment. I looked at my email and saw that they sent me a notification of inability to provide service. When I looked back at the app, my billing section states that Ive been billed $24.99 for the first service. ARE THESE PEOPLE SERIOUSLY CHARGING FOR A SERVICE THAT WAS NEVER COMPLETED?!?!?! My mind is literally blown. I cannot believe this company. You can call and get a response from a customer service rep only when you wish to sign up for the service (that you undoubtedly will never get), but when you call to get through to someone after signing up, youll never be able to talk to anyone, theyll just keep you on hold as long as it suits them. 0/5 stars, would not recommend. Id rather get infinite food poisoning than have to deal with this company again.
I booked a lawn mowing back in May AND they were supposed to come for May 22. The person supposedly got sick and canceled. Then they rebooked for a few days later and canceled again. Then they told me that someone was assigned and she wrote me stating she could not come. Now they scheduled it for June 20th. I just cancelled my bi-weekly mowing services and requested my money back. This is horrible service. No one communicates in a timely manner and they have no one answer their phone only the app and email. Should have picked a different company to begin with. I do not even give them 1 star. I recommend finding a more professional company that will actually mow your lawn.
I had used then in the past and the service was irregular. delayed and rescheduled. I decided to try again this year and scheduled my first service over a week in advance. NO one showed, no explanation given. When i called them Cierra told me they could not find a service provider. That is literally what the do and cant do it. She said she would escalate it to her manager. No response. I get an automated emial over the weekend saying my service was cancelled because they cant find a provider. I called 3 times today and was on hold for over 30 minutes each time. No one answered. When I requested a call back no one called me back. When I replied to their automated emia no on replied. Absolutely horrible customer service.

This company is downright TERRIBLE!!! Ive had a crew reschedule on me for a month now. Theyve always got some kind of excuse like inclement weather, even when its not even raining. I called them last week to see what they can do to get my yard mowed after not doing it for a month, they told me that they can get me a new crew and that it would be done Saturday. When Saturday came, I noticed that they changed my date to Monday to Tuesday of this week. So I called again. Keep in mind that the Customer Service hotline that I have to call is just as bad as the service itself. You can never get through to anyone and have to have them call you back, which takes hours or days. But when I finally got to talk to someone, they said that they actually couldnt find a crew for the Saturday I was told but they have someone lined up to get it done on the following Monday or Tuesday. Nothing happened on Monday. So today (Tuesday) rolls around and I try to get ahold of them again to verify and make sure my yard would get mowed. Once again, I cant get ahold of anyone and have to wait for a call back. They called me back 3 hours later. I was then told that I was on the schedule and they guaranteed that it would get done today. Around 7:45 pm, I get a message asking me to rate the service. What service? No one ever came and mowed my yard. So now the crew is lying and saying they did the work when it was definitely not done. Who does that? Now I have to get ahold of my bank tomorrow morning to make sure I dont get charged for a service that wasnt done. I tried to call them immediately and after trying for an hour and a half, I finally get ahold of someone about this unacceptable situation. I actually found out that when I call, I should act like a new customer that wants to start using them, it was amazing how fast I got through to talk to someone then. So the person I finally talked to brought up to me that this company is just a third party that finds random people to do the job and that they have no control over if it actually gets done or not. Pretty much sounded like they dont want to take responsibility for the piss poor business practices going on. To me, Im going through the Lawn Starter company for the service so they are responsible. I know this is a long review, but I really hope it helps someone else to not make the same mistake I made and try to use this company. My yard is the worst its ever been in the almost 20 years Ive lived here. In closing, DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! 0/5 is a more accurate rating.

Worst customer service I have ever received. They gave us a 2 day window to show up for service, they never showed up. I called at least 10 times with no answer and followed the prompts to receive a call back and never got one. 2 days after my service was due they changed my job status to canceled, still with no call or communication from anyone, I found this change through the app they make you download. I wish I had payed more attention to the reviews before booking, as this is clearly a common problem they have. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
Sadly this company could not meet our request. They simply did not have anyone to mow our lawn. We did get a heartfelt apology from them but it is a sign of the times, not enough people who want to work.
I would not recommend them. I specifically asked that they avoid using a weed-eater near my trees. I have an expensive bi-color beech that now has bark damage after there visit.
This Uber wannabe lawn service scheduled my home, and then cancelled on the last day of their service window, stating they didnt have contractors to do my yard. I was left scrambling to find a yard service as I was recovering from knee replacement surgery. Simply unacceptable.

I scheduled my lawn mowing service to start on a Monday/Tuesday schedule since I had showings at that house starting Thursday. On that Tuesday I received an email I was moved to the Thursday/Friday schedule. I tried to contact them using the app and never heard back. I called and waited on hold for 2 hours before being told there was nothing they could do. So I skipped the service that week and drove my mower to the property and took care of it that Wednesday night. The next week, I received a note saying my service price was going to DOUBLE because my grass was too high?! I personally mowed it one week earlier, it was exactly the length a lawn should be after 1 week. I called the service and asked for a call back instead of waiting on hold for hours. They called back 5 hours later and said that I was right, I should not have been charged double because they even saw pictures of the lawn. So they cancelled that provider but I had to go mow my own lawn last minute again! The next week, on the day service was to be completed I received an email that they were too busy and couldnt find anyone to mow my lawn. When I called in to find out how this could happen, it took 2 hours on hold to get a rep. That rep put me on hold and then hung up! For an unknown reason, I gave Lawnstarter one last chance to show up the next week. This time, they at least had the courtesy to tell me Tuesday that they would not be showing up for the Thursday/Friday service. I started receiving apology emails from various supervisors, but a lot of good that does me. I gave Lawnstarter four chances to provide a simple lawn mowing service and after committing to handle my lawn on four occasions, they failed to complete even one mow. This is the most unreliable and frustrating company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
Absolute garbage service. I scheduled a crew, never showed, got a new crew. New crew never showed up and kept changing my day they were to arrive. Finally day comes for them to be here, no shows, and charges me $325. This is criminal what they have going on.

Reached out to LawnStarter and spoke to a human on the phone. We scheduled a mow for over a week from the time of the call. You d think that s be plenty of time to get us on the schedule. I let them know on the phone that the grass was already pretty high so I would expect an up charge. They missed the quoted service dates. I waited for 2 more days before contacting to give the benefit of the doubt. They apologized and rescheduled me for a few days later. THEY MISSED IT AGAIN. I reached out a 3rd time and they said they would make sure a crew came. So 10 days after the original service date, I finally get a quote from a crew for $609 dollars for a 3 hr job. The lawn was totally out of control (which I get because it was high before the 10 days it took for them to get a crew out) but $200 an hour is obscene. LawnStarter let me know that they couldn t control pricing and couldn t let me know if it could give me any sort of discount for the 10 days past the original service date it took them to get someone out there I ended up renting a heavy duty weed whacked myself for $40 and it only took an hour. This service sucks. Use someone else.

Updated: LawnStarter took the time to reach out and resolve the issues. It s appreciated when a company takes the time to fix mistakes, as everyone will make them from time to time. We used LawnStarter for a while and the crew did good work. The problem started with their subjective application of their long grass fee. Only two pictures were used to measure and justify a double charge for long grass. To make matters worse there were no measurement taken from the backyard to justify the excess charges. After arguing with the company about the charges they cut the fee in half. This is still unacceptable as the two spots chosen had patches of grass that grew relatively quickly, which can be seen in the surrounding areas. The one image is the backyard used has a 4x4 support beam, which easily demonstrates the grass is below the 6 threshold for their long grass fee. The company really needs a better approach and way of proving the entire or at least majority of the yard would qualify for long grass rather than a couple cherry picked spots.
Worst lawn care service ever. I signed up in May for bi-monthly mowing of my lawn. Since May, they have cut my grass exactly once. They cancelled the service exactly 7 times and took a month to come out. When they finally did, they blew all of the grass into the other side of my walkway into my much area (which is now green). Tried to get them to come mow again, they cancelled 6 more times and now somehow my account got deactivated which was not by me. Stay far far away from this company.

They canceled the scheduled mow twice, and took away earned credits. When I called to complain, I had to wait 50 mins to talk to someone. Once I did get through, they gave me my credits back, reinstated a new search for a team, and although it took several weeks for them to schedule someone to actually come mow my mothers lawn, finally we did get a crew to do it!
Be very careful with this provider depending on where you live. I signed up for this service for my 90 year old mother s house. Lawn starter came out the first time and service was great. I am now waiting over 4 weeks for them to return. Always canceling service, or never coming out. Now my mother s house is overgrown, and I am heading out to do it myself. This is not a reputable service, and don t expect to actually talk to anyone via the phone. Worst decision I have made in quite sometime to sign up with Lawn Starter
Terrible service, would not recommend. My entire lawn was cut unevenly with a weedwhacker, leaving some spots lower than others, and some spots completely bare down to the ground.

Keep in mind this is a lawn mowing service, and theyve only mowed my lawn once. The time they did cut it they came the day after it was already cut! I literally had one mower tell me he was on his way and then texted me that he got into an accident. This is literally the worst business I have ever dealt with. They are not worth your time or mine. Ive been rescheduled 15-20 times total since late May. I live in the city of Denver, there should be no reason why they cant come mow a small front lawn in the city. Booked service from this company for a weekly mow on the 5th of August. I have been cancelled on for 3 weeks in a row now and they just keep changing my assigned crew and mow dates. Its now the 27th and I get a message that my crew has changed and now Im due for a mow after this weekend. Not going to work for me to have my lawn cut monthly. Requested to cancel service, but I bet you that will be a headache of a process too. Will update my review depending on how that goes. Do not use this company! Update 09.01.2021: The process to cancel was super easy and they gave me no hassle. The company becomes super responsive after a 1 star review and wanting to get you to come back. They offered to get a crew out right away in their follow up emails and offered some free mows, but I had already booked a new company, which mowed my lawn the next day after booking. It is too little too late, but if you get stuck in the same situation I did, at least you can cancel.

I got disabled and had to have a service do my front yard. Tiny front yard, $35. They cut the grass. Tumble weeds formed in the fount yard. Big weeds grew down my driveway. I asked them to remove them. Nothing. Apparently they are the grass department and someone else is the weed department. When I was a kid I would have tried to upsell. Not my crew. I need a new service.
A lawn starter representative reached out to me regarding my previous review. He reached out to me to rectify the poor service received previously . I spoke with Joey he was very professional and helpful . I appreciate Lawn stater for going the extra mile by reaching out to their customers to apologize and offer remediation and a chance to redeem themselves. This company is HORRIBLE! They seemingly cannot keep their crews for more than a week or two after a time. I hired them in early June to do bi- weekly mowing. Their process are high, but it sounded like a good, reliable solution for my needs so I was willing to pay. What I got was two mowings in June, one in July, two in August, and nothing since. I dont think they were able to have the same crew come more than one time, though the promise was that I would have a regular, dedicated crew for my yard. They kept scheduling and canceling and scheduling and canceling, frequently without any communication to me until they realized they had no one to do the work. Then I would get an after the fact message saying the old crew was unavailable and they were working hard to find a new one for me. My yard is a simple one. It doesnt need a whole lot of special attention (not that they have a way of accommodating anything out of the ordinary). It shouldnt be that difficult. If you are looking for reliable and regular lawn service run away far and fast from this company! UPDATE: Today, 4/16/2020 I have had my first contact from this company since I initially posted this review, and it came only in the form of an online reply as you see below. No direct contact, no direct apology, no direct communications as to whether they even have providers in my neighborhood this season. NOT THE WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS!
I am so glad I found this site on Nextdoor. As someone who is NOT good with lawn care and maintenance, this has been the best thing that has happened to me!! I don t have to mow!! Or deal with weeding, LawnStarter connects you with people/companies who will do that for you for a very fair and reasonable price!! I am now not dreading the summer months and will also not be embarrassed by my yard!!

My lawn always looks great! I also had them do a large clean-up/weed removal/tree removal in a big 20 x 60 garden area and my crew did a fantastic job. They work hard, but efficiently. I definitely recommend.

I almost never write reviews unless I am blown away or severely disappointed. In the case of Lawnstarter, severely disappointed would be an understatement. I ve literally had to contact my credit card company to try to claw my money back from them. Please read this story and heed my warning to absolutely NEVER use this company. First as background: I was living in one city but bought a house 1,000 miles away. It was going to be about six weeks til my family and I moved there, so I decided to hire a service to keep the lawn halfway decent while we were gone. Called Lawnstarter, and they were very friendly. They had a three-mow minimum. I told them that was fine, and they could mow the lawn every other week and then I d cancel after the third since I d be arriving shortly thereafter. First mow was supposed to happen around 5/19. I got a notification on their app saying it was done and that I should rate the job. I texted my father-in-law who was down at the house everyday, working on it, to ask him how they did. He had no idea what I was talking about because they didn t show up. I called Lawnstarter and explained the situation, and they scheduled the crew to come back on 5/22 to do the job. Well that day rolls around and my Father-In-Law is waiting around for these guys. I message the crew (via the app), and they tell me, oh, yeah whoops, we re not going to show up today. I message back that they shouldn t bother coming back at all. I call LawnStarter and once again explain the situation. They apologize and say they ll assign a new crew and of course not charge me for the mow. (And why should they? It never happened!) Second mow (actually the first) comes around. It happens. Great. Then the third (in reality, the second) is supposed to happen and I get a message from the crew that they couldn t make it due to inclement weather. Only, at this point, I was no longer 1,000 miles away. I was right there at my house, where there was nothing but sunshine. I immediately canceled the service via the app. And then I called their support to A) ensure the service was canceled. B) make sure I would not be charged for anything except the one single mowing that actually happened. The support rep told me, yes, it was canceled and that he d see to it that I was only charged for the one mow. He also told me he thought I should get a refund for the one mow that actually DID happen, and he d have a supervisor call me back. I told him that would be great if it did happen, but that I wasn t going to fight anyone for a freebie. Figured that was the end of it until today, about two weeks after what was supposed to be my last mow (the inclement weather day). Well, I get a message that a crew is on its way to my house! I message back that NO, DON T COME because I canceled the service. I then call to ask what the hell is going on, and the rep is like Weird, I don t see that you canceled. She then assures me she s canceled it. I then ask her For how many jobs have you guys charged me? She tells me for two mows. I told her that s insane because they only mowed my lawn ONCE and no one disputes that. She was like yeah, I could see how that s unfair. But you have to dispute it within five business days, or no refund. I ask if her supervisor can refund. I m told no, that it s impossible. So I had to literally take it up with my credit card company to block them from charging me and to get me my money back. LawnStarter will tell you they ve done the job even though they haven t. They will flake out for the jobs you do hire them for. They will charge you for jobs they never did. They will continue to keep your service active after you cancel. Either they are purposefully trying to scam people, or they are so completely incompetent they should never EVER be trusted with your business or bank info. Either way, avoid at all costs.
Great Lawncare. David was my pro they matched me with and it was a great service! Would still be using them if I didnt just get an offer to use my neighbors mower for free. Honestly I feel bad cause David did such a great job each time he was here. Had to take the free offer though. Hire them any time, they have nice deals and promotions if you are willing to share them to people too!

I joined Lawnstarter four weeks ago. The service was good, but their billing practices are terrible. They double charged me for every week of service and were unwilling to acknowledge or rectify the situation. I exchanged emails with three different representatives and all denied the double billing, blaming my credit card company instead. I had to resort to disputing the charges with my credit card company since Lawnstarter woud do nothing to address the issue. The errors could be forgiven, but their complete unwillingness to investigate the problem on their end or even acknowledge that there may have even been an issue with how they were billing me was completely unacceptable.
I have enjoyed using Lawn Starter. If I had any questions or concerns I could easily reach out to them using the app. I appreciate all that they have been doing and hope to utilize them well into the future.

My lawn guy comes every two weeks and does a great job. He s really intentional about his work and I appreciate the service. During the fall when I didn t have any grass they skipped the service because I didn t need it. I loved the integrity. Instead of faking like there was work to do and charging me, they notified me that they d keep coming back until I had grass lol.

It was easy enough to join and make a reservation however I was informed that the team appointed to my property wouldn t be there until a few days later. When I got home there was someone who I didn t know who had already mowed my lawn. They didn t pick up a ton of the clippings and just left them on my yard. It s convenient but I highly doubt I will use them after my three week trial.

I hired LawnStarter to do a lawn clean up and 3 lawn mowing services. We had agreed on a price for all services and they ended up charging me for two additional mows of $34.99 each. The total price was agreed upon and approved prior to any work done. I had to call back on the second mow after they charged me. They did end up refunding that. After the third and last mow, I was charged $34.99 again. I called back and asked for that to be refunded and was refused. I would definitely not recommend their services.

Not good service at all, they give you 2 day window and they can change it with no valid reason, they changed the date they were mowing my lawn and stated weather related even though it was 86 degrees out. They changed my crew 3 times within a week. They wanted to charge me for a service that the first crew should have done. This is a complete disaster to say the least.
Ive had two mows through two different contractors with this company. The first complained to me about what they were paying her, and the second submitted a bogus long grass fee that was approved by the company without consulting me. Edit: to respond to LawnStarter, I use my middle name on here, but my actual last name is Funkhouser. The long grass fee was charged with 2 weeks and 4 days in between mows, plus it snowed on 2 of those days. As I told your customer service rep, that is not enough time for the grass to grow to 6 inches, and any patch of grass at that length would have been grass missed by your prior contractor.

I honestly wonder how much LawnStarter has paid bots to post positive reviews on this site. I have had nothing but horrible service from beginning to end. My husband and I canceled the service only to have people continue to show up, try and break into my backyard, harass my dogs, jump my fence, we had to stop payment on the credit card and threaten to call the police for them to finally take us off of their service list!!! Absolutely the worst experience I ve ever had!!! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
Extremely unprofessional company and I highly recommend potential buyers getting a quote from the competition. I set up my lawn service appointment three days before this review (on a Sunday) and they gave me a window of Tuesday - Wednesday due to the holiday (today is Wednesday) Understandable, I agreed to the terms that were set and even requested a quote for gutter cleaning as well. I got a quote from the crew foreman Im assuming, no more than an hour later. I agreed to his price and then lawnstarter sent me their commission quote. I didnt accept yet. Tuesday came and the crew foreman text me through the app, stating they wouldnt be out on Tuesday, due to the rain the prior night, and would be here the next day, which was the last day of the window I signed up for. Again, understandable. Next day came and I did not get a call, or message, or email from the crew foreman, at all, all day long. I text him at noon, in the same thread he contacted me with when he rescheduled and I never got a response. I called the main number, and pressed 2 as an existing customer the hold time for a customer service rep to even acknowledge my call took nearly 11 minutes, and then I got the robo-operator saying that I needed to leave a message and they would call me back, without talking to an actual person. I then decided to cancel my service request online through the app. Then, I called right back and pressed 1 for new customer and immediately got an answer from a customer service rep. He knew my information off the bat, and went through everything we had set up from the beginning. Once he realized they dropped the ball he noticed my cancelation. I thanked him for answering my call, and then I told him I canceled no more than 3 minutes prior to our call. Then, he sent me to the cancelation dept I dont remember what the dept was actually called but nevertheless, spoke with a very nice and seemingly caring agent and requested my service to be canceled. She offered me 15$ off and a different crew. I asked if they could come out today as agreed and unfortunately I would have to wait another two days. I declined but she did her part in trying to keep me as a paying customer. I have to start the process all over again with my search for a legitimate landscaping company, but I would rather do that than give lawnstarter my hard earned money. Also, you have to give them your debit /credit card number before being able to schedule service. When I canceled online, they advised me that it would be canceled after the 3rd cut, which is the required minum to get the service to begin with. Since I hadnt received the 1st cut I was able to cancel with no charge (so far ). This is my personal experience as of today 5/29/19. I hope this review helps both the consumer and the provider. The first lawn service provider showed up and marked the lawn completed but never mowed . After contacting LawnStarters through both calls and emails I was told it would be rescheduled. The next day I was schedule with the same provider that showed up and never mowed .When I messaged to ask why , the service was suddenly cancelled . Back and forth emails and calls to get a refund and decided to cancel the service completely. I was done with this app for lawn service and was told everything was cancelled even though they had a 3 mow limit . Today after cancelling someone showed up and mowed half the lawn , left and again I was billed for the full service . More calls and emails this evening to again cancel. I was told no one will be showing up from now on but that was what I was told last week so we will see . They did refund my money . This service is a good idea but the follow through on the actual service quality and reliability as well as billing is terrible and real headache . Don t waste your time with this Lawn Service App.
I had a Monday-Tuesday window which nobody came. Tried to be a new customer but reliability is important to me and this company has proven to be unreliable. I even called Tuesday afternoom to check on the appointment and express my concern and was simply told sun up to sunset. If they cannot see where you are in line for a service how can they reliably ensure you get service? The answer is they cannot. They are a middleman service. Currently waited 11 minutes on hold then IVR just sent me to voicemail. Just a lousy experience dont waste your time!
SCAM SCAM SCAM. I did the $19 first mow and they showed up a week late, overcharged me for grass being too long (which wouldnt have happened if they showed up on the scheduled day). The mow itself was shoddy and poorly done, and they didnt even edge or mow evenly. I figured Id give them another shot, but yet again... no show. I have been in constant contact and they keep telling me someone is showing up today, and then at the last minute, a personal problem occurs and they push me out a day. Dont waste your time. They dont answer the phone if youre a current customer and their email customer service reps dont answer your question, just say sorry your mow has been delayed, well get there tomorrow. Ive now heard that seven days in a row.

The service was sooooo sloppy.very uneven and messy.no grass clippings picked up concrete and porch covered. corner and edges skipped which looked terrible.Left my fence open and let my pets out.No one called so found them roaming the neighborhood when I got home from work.... Very shady company! Customer service was worse and has resolved nothing!
Bad business!! Nothing but trouble and a big hassle when it comes to this company. They give you a two day window for when somebody might show up, making it very difficult if you have a dog. I cancelled two days prior to my next service and they still showed up!! Then only mowed the front and proceeded to charge me almost full price without refund. Ridiculous.
Rude Customer Service. Only cares about a sale. I scheduled my service 2 Sundays ago to show up in the 24th of June. Randomly was rescheduled without my knowledge to the next Sat., Sun., Or Mon. I called to complain. They took off the high grass fee and said they should be here Saturday or Sunday. Well it s Tuesday. Still no service or call. But I got an email asking about the service that was never done lol! Guess they will never show up. Don t waste your time. I have screen shots of the foolery if anyone is ever interested.
Bad experience with them. Long story short, multiple cancelations on there end led to crew telling me they d be here first thing in the morning on July 4th since I mentioned having company over. No showed and wouldn t respond to messages. Called customer support and although very friendly, was useless.
This is the best service ever
I signed up with Lawnstarter at the end of May. I cancelled last weekend. They came once. When the crew assigned didnt show up the next 2 weeks, I called, shared my frustration, and the rep assigned me a new crew. However, they couldnt provide service until the following week. So, no service for 3 weeks. They assured me that they were doing everything possible to get the new crew there on the 1st. The new crew lead messaged me on the 1st to provide me with a window of the 1st or 2nd of July. By the evening of the 2nd, the crew still had not shown. So, once again, I contacted a rep at Lawnstarter. They apologized again and said they would contact the crew lead. After my phone call, I received a message from the crew lead saying my window had moved to the 3rd - 4th. Needless to say, at this point, but, no one showed on the 3rd or 4th... Now another rep is asking me to give them another chance. Oh, and theyll give me a $10 credit. DO NOT sign up with them!
Rescheduled on me four times, ended up mowing my lawn myself.
Ive been loving working with LawnStarter to get my business out there and gain new clients. It s been a great experience and I find the process very straight forward and it works with my process and schedule! Highly recommend
1. Scheduled for Tuesday on week 1. The guy cancelled not once but twice for over two weeks. Terrible service. Dont waste you time with them. 2. Some dude shows up a week later and starts demanding that I let him into the house, and i am SUPPOSED to have a lawn care service. I was already beyond dissatisfied with lawn starter. And then they go back and report that they have mowed the lawn. 3. I ask them to cancel the service 2 weeks in advance. They say they cant and they charge me for it anyway insisting they mowed the lawn. 4. There is no way to reach the customer care, they dont pick up, they dont call you back. DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY, IVE HAD IMMEASURABLE PAIN HAVING TO DEAL WITH THEM

Absolutely horrible experience. 1. Scheduled for 8.12-13.19, skipped & canceled. No notice on app. No reschedule for 2 weeks. 2. Called to ask why they skipped me. Was told it didnt look like it needed it. reminded them that my HOA disagrees which is why I hired them. Rescheduled for 8.12.19 3. App says it was canceled again, no reason, and cant come till 8.23. Called again, reminding them that HOA is setting a $25/day fee for unkempt yard. 4. They cant get anyone until 8.14, meaning Ive already racked up$75 in fees, which they wont reimburse even tho their scheduling is the reason im being fined. Nothing but lame apologies & saying they will gladly cancel my account.
Great service if your looking to pick up a few extra customers or if your just learning the ropes of the lawn care industry. Very helpful support. Love this service.

The provider was good. Yet, I have had issues with the app/company with canceled service and rescheduled. I will say when I call they do try to make it right. Unfortunately, there are not many if any competent lawn services in my area.
LawnStarter has been a huge disappointment. I have had four different crews because of cancelations and some not being able to work. The last one canceled because I didn t switch to weekly instead of bi-weekly. DO NOT use this service!
If there was an option for zero stars, I would use it. I have been waiting for weeks after a crew change for service. I am taking them to civil court. I have all the many, MANY, empty promises for a simple mow-no action. I have removed bull snakes from my yard because of the overgrowth. Do NOT trust them.

Truly awful customer service. Its impossible to speak with anyone on the phone to get any sort of question answered, and they are incredibly inflexible in changing times or days of the week. I was also hugely disappointed in a yard clean up I booked -- they barely did any work and I had to hire a different company the following week. There is also an incredible amount of turnover in the crews that are scheduled. Im cancelling my service after only 2 months.
Word to the wise, before you seek a service ALWAYS read the reviews! I only read a few and I just FIRED this company after 2 weeks of run-around. Now I have to do the work myself while I look for a different company. They just lost a $13K contract. My advice if you read this keep looking. Oh, and there should be an option for zero stars too!!!
Beware! First I was provided with certain information regarding my lawn care. Then they send someone in a covered SUV to mow my huge yard with no where to put the clippings and a single lawn mower in the back of an SUV. The crew member also did not arrive until 5:30 pm and brought his wife or girl friend to sit in the car. How unprofessional, so I refused the service. Another crew member was provided the next day who did a good job. However, after completing the service which I am already paying more for than my previous lawn care company, they wanted a tip. The company is already getting paid for services rendered and no additional special services were provided. Very disappointed in this company.

Beyond terrible. I scheduled a mow for a Friday. Seemed easy enough. The crew never came and cancelled due to weather....but it did not rain. They give you a two business day window for the mowing, and yet my service was pushed backed until Tuesday when they should have come Monday. I reached out to customer service and they send you a standard response that doesn t rectify or address any of your concerns. My mow for Tue/Wed was then cancelled and rescheduled for Fri and the following Monday. No reason whatsoever just continually pushed back. I read some online reviews and apparently this happens frequently and then customers are charged extra fees for having an overgrown lawn. My lawn is still not mowed and customer service has been useless. You subscribe for a minimum of 3 mows so now my only option is to dispute their charges on my credit card.....because they will charge me despite never sending a crew to do the work! Save yourself the aggravation, and go with one of their competitors.
I would not recommend this company. Very unprofessional! Im very disappointed. The company had good reviews and this what make me hire them. I hired this company to take care of my rental property lawn. They mowed the front yard and they scheduled a cleanup for the backyard. They gave me 4 days window for cleanup but they never showed up.Forgot to mention that the first time they did showed up a day later than they promised. I was not notified they will show up a day late. I contacted them through the app but I never received an answer. I tried to call them and after spending a long time on hold my call was disconnected. Tried to call again and same thing happened. Supposedly I should have three mowing before I cancel my account with them. I requested to cancel my account today since they did not kept their part of the contract. My contract with them was to mow the whole property but so far the mowing for the backyard was not completed and I already paid for the service.

We recently closed on a new home, when we came we seen the grass was out of control so we called to get it taken care of, they come out and edged half my sidewalk and left. No call no type of communication, nothing! The messed up part is the city was already posting warning the week before we closed. These people are unprofessional and unreliable.
What a scamming shame! I was intrigued by their website so I signed up. First mow was good and came with a lot of discounts! They make you agree to 3 mows before canceling. I had a mow scheduled for this past Tuesywhich ended up being rescheduled again for this weekend. This morning I received a message my mow has yet again been rescheduled in JULY!! Are they nuts?! I cancelled my services. Buyer beware! Dont get fooled!
They do a great job, come on time or before! They don t bother you either! Show up mow, trim, pull some weeds, and clean up and are gone. No ringing the doorbell and making the dogs go crazy. Great company!

Terrible. If I could give zero stars, I would. Would only mow half my yard, then leave. Terrible. Waste of time and money. As a landlord, I was embarrassed for my renters and the neighbors. They left me with grass that is up to my knees.

Dont bother with this company. they will take your money but have no accountability for the services provided. i reached out via email multiple times to complain about the quality of the service and was set the expectation that if i am unhappy, they wont charge for it and find a resolution. however 3 days later i was charged for the incomplete service without notification. i have since reach out via phone 4 times and emailed to complain 5 times and they have gone completely silent on me. this is a fraudulent company with non-existent customer service. dont take the risk
Buyer beware! This company does not vet their contractors very well. The person or company they assigned to my property ended up harassing me via email over complaints that I made to the company. Their only response was sorry for the inconvenience and call local authorities if you feel youre in danger. And yes, the emails from the contractor were that bad!
Great app. Great crew.. I knocked off a single star because my airation didnt get done. I waited until May 6 to request so I will give the star back once I get a successful winter airation . My crew is good.

Based on my three week experience with this horrible company and its unethical contractors, LawnStarter is the BIGGEST SCAM in Denver. I ordered a weekly mow at my house in Denver, and was happy with the price and initial customer service experience. But then on the day when the mow was scheduled, the mowing crew said they showed up but nobody did. I was billed for the service!! I called to explain the situation to LawnStarter, and customer service apologized and refunded the charges. I asked for a different mowing team because the first one obviously is willing to lie about work performed. On the day my new mowing crew was to arrive, they again reported that they mowed my lawn even though nobody showed up. And again I was billed. I again had to call customer service to get charges removed. This past Friday, a third team was supposed to come to my home for a special service I requested (pulling weeds). Again, I received a text that the work had been performed--but when I arrived home the weeds were all still there and it was obvious nobody had been to the house. Three strikes. . .LawnStarter is OUT.
I wish I could give this company 0 stars. They cancelled and rescheduled my appointment five times in the span of one week and still never showed up. I don t know how many emails I had to send to them and they either didn t respond to some of them or took a long time to respond. This has been the biggest waste of my time and my lawn looks like even worse garbage than it did before because it s been another week and it s still not mowed. I would urge anyone thinking of hiring them to find someone else unless you love disappointment, frustration, and long grass. In regards to the response from the owner- I did contact your customer service department every single time I had a problem and they never fixed it. I m not wasting my time talking to your company anymore. I hired a new company immediately after firing yours and they have showed up on time for every single appointment AND they are cheaper. Their company name is MowTimePro in case anyone wants to hire a reputable company that will actually perform the work they are hired for.

If I could rate zero I would. I have called 4 times, left messages, sent emails, called and talked to their sales dept because the service dept doesnt answer and it says leave a msg and we will call you back. That hasnt been my experience! Its not even the customer service that is bad it is the mowing. They have mowed the lawn 4 times, (1 more than they should of but since I cant reach them to cancel their service they got the 4th) the 3rd time they didnt mow an entire section of the lawn. I would have informed them of it but they never returned that call either. They asked me how to rate the lawn care through the email and I told them bad. Not even a follow-up on that. Tried to use their Lawnstarter APP, even that was a joke! Luckily I had to cancel a cc due to fraud activity and that was the card I was paying them with. Im hoping that will get them to call and sent an email telling them Ill update my payment information once I get a call, but based on my experiences so far I dont have much faith in that. Use craigslist or nextdoor, this company is less than well run once they have you under contract. They are all over the place when they will show up, the work is not great, giving feedback directly goes unnoticed, and forget about the customer service. I will not recommend them to any of the properties I work with going forward.
Only had 1 mow thus far but it went well. They came to house and got to work. The app was easy to manage and I look forward to my next mow in 2 weeks

Constantly cancelling service and rescheduling; have been through three providers of services so far. My lawn wasnt mowed for 5 weeks. Also paid to weed and landscape the front. Still havent completed that work after 7 weeks. Poor service. Poor customer service. Bad company.
Great lawn care, no fuss!
I originally went to Lawnstarter because my husband was gone doing military stuff and I personally did not want to mow the law or have him come back to a jungle. So I called lawstarter and they were able to come out pretty quickly and its been two mows now and it is great. They are easy to communicate with (especially with the app) and they dont leave a mess behind. The lawn, both front and back, looks great! I think we will continue using them even when the hubby is home :)
I signed up to have my lawn mowed in late July 2018, and the day they were to mow it July 30th, I received an email saying that they would not be able to mow, and said they would get to it approximately 5 days later. I cancelled. Then they emailed me back saying they were charging my credit card for 6 mowings. I asked them for the dates and the dates they were charging me for were all dates before I had EVEN called them. Then I told them that I was going to bash them on the web, and cancel the charges with AMEX. They then sent me an email saying that Maybe they messed up and would look into it... Have heard nothing back. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS
