The technician seemed knowledgeable and felt he could help us with our pine trees but the price was higher than originally quoted. He thought an injection method, instead of foliar spraying, that they originally said, is what we need after his inspection. When they arrived today (07/06/23) they went right to work treating our trees. I found them easy to talk to and willing to answer my questions.

Worst company ever, I called to get a quote and was quoted for my whole yard instead of just the front like I requested, politely told them I was gonna get a few more estimates and they have called me 14 times to be exact since Friday..... I would pay more and hire someone else before I ever gave you my businesss......

We ve used True Green for 3 years. Natalie is the first person to thoroughly spray our yard. She did a very good job! I would like her only for our other services! 5/22/24 Natalie is a gem. I hope she stays on your team because I know you have such a high turnover. The people that have been out here before were pretty much absolute idiots She s thorough and polite, and professional. Just keep giving her a raise because she deserves it.

Worst service Long time customer ...Without my acknowledgement for this year enrollment, they came and applied lawn solution. When i called them and they have offered one year annual plan with 6 application with one time payment fees but they also charged separate for the visit without including it in annual plan. When i reached customer service , how many times i explain she tells that dont need to pay additional payment ...but they charged twice. worst customer service ...i dont recommend

Just had my first lawn service application by Dion. Greeted him and was impressed with his demeanor. We discussed the yard and time frame of safety before getting back on the lawn. Watched his application and appeared to be even application. Very pleased with our first application. Will see what the results are with mosquito and weed control in the next few weeks. Brody was here this morning. Had to hold his work up because we have horses and a dog. Didn t realize how early Brody started but he accommodated us to move horses away from yard and run dog out to the field for his morning business. Excellent work by both technicians.

The man that treated our yard was very nice, polite and friendly. The reason for the 3 stars is because he left our front gate open and we have dogs. Luckily my husband happen to be in the yard and noticed it was not closed.

I was not able to be home, but was able to talk to my professional through my Ring. As this was the first application and visit, that made my experience less stressful and gave me confidence of the great service I received.

I was a little concerned that Tru Green was coming out right after 24 hours and continued rain, but they applied a liquid application of preventative and fertilizer by hand. I was concerned about granular washing away or a heavy machine compacting my soil, but my concerns were unwarranted. Great job!

Ive always had good service and good results with their lawn service program. If I ever needed followup attention to a particular weed problem they were there right away.

Its been a rocky start so far. Signed up for a years service to get my lawn under control from the weeds. First application didnt really do to much, the weeds were in full growth a few weeks after it. Called and let them know so they sent a technician out a few days later, but with only a backpack sprayer for a yard a little over a half acre. Guess he was here for a half hour before he knocked on the door to say he got a call from the company to say he had been here too long, smh. A little later another technician showed up with a ride on machine to finish the job, kind of. Now looking at the yard I can see where he sprayed and where he missed, some dieing weeds some still growing. Going to give it another week to see if things clear up or if Im going to cancel service and find another company.

Im a new customer and just had my first application. Everything went well and the tech explained the program to me for future visits. I did experience problem with customer service with delays on scheduling my service and broken promises on when service would start. From reviews I have read, there seem to be very many 1 star responses and unhappy customers. I hope that wont happen with me.

Hired 2 years ago to spray for mosquitoes first time here didnt do a good job, then was better that year. Last year they were asked to not spray anay more, but they kept coming out. The guy would maybe be there 5 minutes and leave, we have about an acre. They were asked several timea to stop spraying. Now we have a bill we mishpuldnt have to pay. I will tell everyone i can to never use this service. Just another big company that scams people and does as they please

Continously show up without any prior notification. I receive a notice the day of, after they have already tried to access my fenced in yard. I always give feedback to the technicians that we didnt receive any kind of notice, yet nothing changes. They have woken my up young children multiple times.Very annoying! Will be looking at other options next season!

We engaged TruGreen in Bettendorf IA in 2023. We paid for TruMaintenance Lawn plan with 6 visits. Result: Our lawn in the community the worst looking at this time - extensive crabgrass throughout the lawn with multiple applications. SEE PICTURE

Let me start by saying I do not use this company. My neighbor does. Albeit close property lines, it does not excuse trugreen from spraying their toxic chemicals in my and other neighbors yards. Property lines are clearly defined by utility poles and property markers. The tech yesterday was indiscriminately spraying toxic chemicals in three different yards...two of which do not use trugreen. Stay off my property or legal action will be taken.

Never come when scheduled. Just show up randomly. Do not do the whole property. Customer care is outsourced, and they don t speak English well enough to have a conversation.

They even cleaned off my driveway with a leave blower

My yard has never looked better!! This is my first year and I m so impressed with the results already. We started the year with Alex and now Skyler, they both did an exceptional job. Very polite and professional. The office staff, Lee & Delaney are always beyond helpful and answer my dumb questions with a smile. All the trugreen crew are wonderful. I tell everyone I know to call Lee or Delaney and they will get their yard in shape fast. I m very fussy and my husband is even more about the yard, which is large and on a hill, and we are both very happy with everything

Yard looks better than when they started earlier this year

Customer service and the lawn techs were great. My lawn did start to look better, but now we re at the end of the seasons so I ll have to wait until after winter to give my honest opinion of my lawn treatments compared to the money I ve had to spend so far.

I am happy with the service. Their employees were very polite and helpful. They always let me know they were coming so I could keep my dog in.

Years ago this company had a door to door sales guy that came to my house. I opened the front door to a large man holding my stair railing in his hands. He leaned on it and broke it clean off. I was told they would pay to fix it. After numerous times contacting them I was told I could get free yard work, which I didn t want. I followed up with corporate and they said they would fix it. (Worked with Brenda) but soon they stopped getting back to me too. I oddly still get a ton of advertising and mail from them so I tweeted about it and of course they got back to me right away on a public tweet. They told me the following: Cindy, we have received a determination from our legal/claims department. Regrettably, due to the amount of time that has passed, we are not able to properly investigate this matter at this time. We are not able to determine if TruGreen caused the damage, if the railing was already broken or compromised, there are no records from that far back, and there is no information regarding who was involved in the complaint. Regrettably, there is nothing we can do to assist with this claim at this time. Thank you. ~NB None of this is my fault. They damaged my home and because they never got back to me or document the problem I get NOTHING. Unbelievable. Untrustworthy. Unresponsive. Irresponsible. Avoid at all costs.

Biggest mistake was entering my phone number to get a quote. They call you relentlessly. I blocked several numbers from them and they just keep calling from a different number.

The phone service and promos create confusion for customers. I prepaid for 2022 on Dec 4. After multiple phone calls to see if I was paid up, I got a new charge on March 18 for a year . Customer service is working from home so no one knows what is happening. I will be sure to get my local contact saved so I dont have to deal with corporate confusion. Good news is that the grass looks good.

If you are are shopping around for price of yard maintenance don t make the mistake I did of entering my phone number. In one day I was called 17 times the answer was the the same I did not want to purchase their service. Now I get several calls every day about trugreen. They will not stop. I will never use them after this experience. It to the point I am going to get a different number.

True green, are a bunch of crooks. I have had NOTHING but a horrible experience with their sales, customer service and technicians. Pressured sales, a garbage customer service line and technicians, caught on camera, just sitting inside their vehicle not performing a service. I haven t spoke to anyone at the company in over a year. This year, they decided to take it upon themselves to service my yard. Services I didn t authorize, agree to or even need. I tilled my own yard because their work didn t do anything for my lawn. But yet, they still come in and supposedly, perform a service, seeing that the yard is tilled, wouldn t you call a homeowner or ask if they need a service? No, they d rather have a technician, show up, not perform any sort of service, tag the yard, leave and rack up a fraudulent bill. True Green. You are a GARBAGE company. I want my money back for services not authorized or performed. Simple as that. Considering your customer service is not at all helpful, I ll help potential homeowners save money from hiring you.

These guys do not respect property lines and spray thier poison everywhere.

We ve used this company for a couple of years now and this year their service has gotten terrible. Today for example we came home to the service rep parked outside our house. We assumed he was just starting or just finishing and went inside. The truck left shortly thereafter. We have cameras around the property and have the guy coming to the front door at 9:40 and ringing our bell. We were suppose to get a lawn fertilizer and weed control. The cameras always catches anyone entering the yard, but there were no cameras activated. He didn t leave a summary service sheet on the door. We went online to look at the service ticket and it showed the guy did our yard in 1 minute and that was 8 minutes from the time the front door camera recorded him He didn t do the job he was hired for. This isn t the first time this has happened. I think if they ring the bell and no one is home they simply don t perform the service. We called Corp and the 1st rep hang up on us and the 2nd one scheduled a redo specifically for when we would be home.

Unscrupulous and high pressure sales tactics. I called tru green to prepay for one seasons worth of lawn treatment. I thought that would be the end of it. They called multiple times throught the summer to upsell me on various products - one man in particular was quite pushy about some $200 lawn aeration. Neighbors had mentioned they had it done and couldnt tell a bit of difference. Naturally I quit answering the phone. Imagine my surprise when this season I was billed $80 for a service I didnt request. After multiple calls, one of which I was hung up on, and hours on hold, I was connected with Vicki. She is a saint for working for a company with such unscrupulous and sneaky, high pressure sales practices. Apparently, they called beforehand (I quit answering, remember) and in a flyer that was surely ignored, was our agreement and offer to prepay for another year. If you look into reveiws on yelp, facebook, etc youll find this is how TruGreen stays in business. Vicki canceled my service that I didnt request and tried to end the call there. No, I wont be paying $80 for ten minutes worth of work that I didnt ask for. She did eventually credit my account but not before upselling me *facepalm*. This is not a criticism on Vicki herslef as I know she was just doing as shes instructed to do by TruGreen. At $80 for 10 minutes worth of work, TruGreen shouldnt need to upsell this hard. 2 stars because the lawn does look better. Ill be sticking with a more reputable company in the future.

used their service last year. Never have been a fan, but the husband wanted service. Started working remotely from home and caught them several times putting a stick in the yard stating the lawn had been serviced and then drive away without actually doing anything to the lawn. Vowed to not use them ever again, but today they showed up at my house and tried to treat my lawn without notifying me or me requesting service this year. They have my credit card on file from last years service and they just keep treating and charging until you complain. However, when you call you get placed on hold and told your hold time is 2-3 hours, but can leave a call back number. Nobody ever calls you back

Way overpriced

I have used TruGreen for many years. Lately their service has changed and very hard to reach the people over the phone. I called today their toll free no. and said waiting time is 3 hours. Shockingly never heard this long waiting from any company. Before, I can call local Davenport office and easy to reach people and now all the calls are directed to their central office which is located out of our area.. Last year I was thinking of quitting their service but I had prepay for their service. This year I want to change to local company which can take care of lawn, tree and bush care. Last year we prepaid for core aeration and the guys came and did one row and left. We disputed with credit card company and got refund. This company has monopoly and service has gone to dogs.

My yard looks like they seeded it with Dandelions, when I called them and went through all the options I was put on hold. After at least 5 minutes a record came on saying my wait time was 1-2 HOURS, there must be a lot of other customers calling in with complaints also.

This is our second year with Tru Green. We paid in advance, they cashed our check but we have received no service. Last year our pre emergence was applied on 7 April. It is too late now. There is no one to contact to determine what the issue is. We have 2 acres so it was a big check we sent. So frustrating . Now what do we do?

They came out second time and I thought it didnt work but today the dandelions are dying. Thanks and sorry for bad review I just should of been more patient.

Senior Citizen Fraud Alert !!!!!! Total scam my parents spent thousands of dollars with them to help with the weeds and they did nothing when we complained they made excuses but my sick and handicapped parents should not be spending 6 months out of the year bent over weeding when supposedly they re supposed to be fixing especially after a couple of years I made them stop cause I swear they just come and stick a flag in the yard without actually doing anything and my aunt spied on them at her yard cause of the same reason they barely did spray anything. I think it s shameful taking advantage of the elderly like this!!!

Has been two months since our last treatment (suppose to be monthly). Constant sales calls for a service I already purchased. Leave gates open and barely spray the yard. They ve been rescheduling my yard for a month and then spray on a day that it rains. Will try to get a refund or cancel contract

Great service

It is extremely hard to reach a live person here. Your calls go to a central hub not your local provider. You are in endless wait loops online and on the phone. Their app tells you the provider is at your home, when they are not. If they mis-click, you think youre being skipped because they perhaps went to another home. Its very off putting and doesnt create a feel good experience for the customer.

Had prepaid for yard pest control only and they performed a non ordered yard aeration. Their staff sprayed grass seed in all the landscaped areas, where we have to keep pulling out grass as it grows. They continue to call about payment for this service that we did not want. When I ask for a supervisor to call, they call on a line that comes into my phone as spam, but when they call for payment it comes in as various local numbers.

I called and spoke with someone about coming to do our yard letting them know we have issues with ticks and do have 4 kids and 2 dogs so need asap. The guy stated someone would be out to give me a price. After a week of waiting and hearing nothing from anyone I sent an online request thinking someone may have overlooked a note. Its been another week now and still NOTHING!!!

Never in my life have I experienced such horrible customer service! It is truly unfortunate considering the lawn products work. The customer service hotline is incapable of reaching management to address concerns and all they do is promise to have someone call you. I waited over a week and finally got a call (after trying to cancel) from a lady named Doreen who is bitter, rude, unprofessional and has zero business being a manager! She refused to address my concerns and experience with her technician (an employee that decided to air her grievances for the company during her visit. She completely bashed the company and said customers are being extorted and ripped off and decided she wasnt going to perform the mosquito plus package I ordered). Doreen did not want to refund my payment(I was charged for a service I did not receive) She was extremely rude, sarcastic and nasty to me on the phone. I do not recommend them at all! Very disappointed.

All the negative reviews are probably depend on the technician who serviced your lawn. Jacob has been servicing mine for years, and he did a great job. As soon as they sent someone else, I know because a few spots and one big area of my grass died. I don t know why they sent the same tech that killed my grass to check so obviously he said it s burned grass. I know what burned grass look like and there are still a lot of fertilizer on those bright yellow areas. I hope they retrain the tech before they lose old customers.

I used the services for one year and did not see any improvements. They were just leaving receipts at the door as we are at work and dont think they actually performed the services.not using anymore

The chemicals used by this company destroys the insects necessary for pollination and ruins the soil microbiom. The continuation of practices conducted by this company undermines humanitys chance for survival. The chemicals used for this service cause cancer in humans.

Killed my grass in 2 visits this summer. Never called me back. Have dead spots everywhere!! They have hundreds of horrible reviews yet pay their way to an A plus rating with the BBB!!! Would submit pics but it wont let me. Never use this service the techs have no idea what theyre doing and I now have dead grass everywhere and weeds!!! I had no weeds before they came!!

Bridgette was the tech and shes great. Very professional and friendly. Mosquito control is a great way to be able to enjoy our large yard. Wish all our neighbors would also use the service.

I filled out an estimate online and they have been harassing me ever since. Ive asked them to take me off of their call list repeatedly, but to no avail. Also, they will continue service after cancellation and claim ignorance to garner more of your money. Invest in a good spreader and save yourself the grief of dealing with this company.

Called the local number and instead got a service center across the country. I wanted to know my options, but instead the sales associate was immediately trying to lock me into a deluxe package. After repeated asks, he refused to email me a quote. He even pulled up my house on google satellite. Creepy and annoying and high pressure sales.

We have the best lawn in the neighborhood! You got rid of the weeds and violets taking over our yard. The grass is lush and green. Our technician is friendly and knows our property and can answer questions quickly.

Very, very disappointed. We have been trying to have TruGreen treat our lawn for a couple of weeks (we already paid for their services), and they have yet to come when we have requested. We have an outside dog and we requested they come after a certain time so that we would be home to bring our dog inside. Each time they came, they came much earlier than the time we requested. Hence, the dog was outside. One time we received a text stating that the techs truck broke down and had to reschedule. That evening we went out for a sandwich, and the tech came while we were out - even though we received a text saying the tech couldnt make it because of the breakdown of his truck. This company has a huge miscommunication issue.

I paid for a years service but get a bill saying I still owe, I paid and paid for the next year. Same thing happens. In addition, if I m not home when they come and actually show them the boundaries of my yard they only do half of it. The customer service dept seems to think they are very slick as well. Their product is good, my yard looks better (where they sprayed) but it wasn t worth the hassle.

This company is awful. Their service was mediocre, and they use horrible tactics when dealing with customers. I told them TWICE I no longer wanted their services and they just ignored me and kept coming and doing my lawn. They kept sending me bills for a service I didnt want! I paid once more and told them Im done do not come again. They came again and sent another bill! I called and said I told you guys I canceled this service and Im not paying this bill because I had been very clear I wanted nothing more to do with them. So, they threaten me with the collections agency 90 days later. Ill end up paying it, but I feel like they robbed me of my money by continuing to come on my property when I told them I didnt want their services anymore. Im infuriated and I strongly advice people to steer clear of this awful company.

This company is awful with how they treat their customers. My wishes were ignored and I did not know that to cancel with them you have to ask for a cancelation number after you ask to cancel your services or it wont be processed. I cancelled over the phone and they told me okay (but didnt tell me about any cancelation number), they kept servicing me and giving me bills. I found about the cancelation number on the back of a bill that they sent me in fine print. Purposefully meant to be easily missed. This company is shady and should absolutely be avoided at ALL COSTS.

Dont know who is paying for all the 5 star reviews on here, but this company is terrible. Theyve successfully killed half my back yard this year. Worst part is, they wanted me to pay to fix their mistakes. Never hiring this company again. Would not recommend it to anyone else either.

I WILL NEVER USE TREGREEN!!! Company driver hit a customer car. It was caught on video with the driver from trugreen looking at the damage. Driver and their supervisor refused to admit to the damage. No integrity. Company HQ never contacted customer.

Was called by them 8 times in a 8 hour period of time. I didnt have my phone on me at work and they didnt leave 1 message All I asked for was a quote via the website and still to this point did not receive any info. I guess they dont listen to a potential customer Very unprofessional and will not even think of using them for lawn service.

I had spent several years using products from the big box stores. I would apply each product with the corresponding season, using broadcast spreaders and drop spreaders. The results were ok. I have a pretty good lawn, but I hated the small amount of clover and dandelions I still got. I havent even had TruGreen for a full year, and the difference is amazing. Weeds, Gone. Grass, Greener and fuller than ever. Only down side is that I have to mow every 5 or 6 days. If I go much longer than that my mower doesnt mulch it well. Highly recommend TruGreen for get your lawn looking its best.

Their high pressure sells pitch is OBNOXIOUS! Im not using them for that sole reason.

applicator was personable and went about his business with out any supervision. We have been a longtime customer of TrueGreen and trust their expertise to help us have a lawn of which we can be proud.

Poor lawn application, even worse customer service. It seems they operate based off of automatic payments more than anything. They keep showing up even though we asked for a phone call prior to the application being applied. Theyre dangerously ignorant to their customers needs.

patrick snell is new to me, he came to the door and introduced himself and explained what treatment he was putting on my lawn. I asked about my dog and he said to wait a couple of hours to let her out. I am very happy with the great service I recieve from your company thank you

I have used Trugreen for several years. I have a lush, green lawn, absent of weeds. My neighbors lawns look nothing like mine. The specialist comes and always rings the door bell. He is always friendly and listens to my concerns. He works quickly and does a good job.

My application amount has gone up this year and no one let me know that it was going up. I would appreciate a call if the amount is increasing since I am a senior and need to know how I need to allocate my funds.

The most recent service was to have our ASH Tree serviced for Emerald Ash Borer prevention.. The technician was very professional and knowledgeable about the treatment and in explaining it to me.

I have not been around to meet the specialist. I love the way my lawn looks. It is very green. Weed free. Stays green the entire summer and greens up quickly in the spring. I also feel that the price is fair for the services performed.

This is the best year ever and I have been a customer for many years. The timing of the applications is better than ever. I at times in the past thought that I was the ugly step-sister that waited until all other lawns were treated on time. Problem seems solved.....Thanks. Dave.

My experience has been very, very bad. My representative indicated he would return about 7-10 days after the application, just to see how things went, and I have not seen him yet. I have called the number he left for me, on a torn piece of paper, and left 4 messages. None have been answered. I have called repeatedly the Davenport number and have not gotten a return call. it appears I may have to drive to the Davenport location and knock on the door to get anyone to respond to me.

I used to have Trugreen service and only saw that my yard was getting worse. Ive tried calling their number which only goes to differnt states due the number redirects people to corporate offices. I stopped using them and started with Tee Time and noticed a big difference in time. Unfortunately Tru Green employees cant seem to read because they mistaken my yard for my neighbors two houses down and treated my yard after I had a treatment done. My yard went from full and green to patches of yellow throughout my frint and worse in my backyard. I called trugreen spoke to guy named corey in Indiana. Told him pf the situation he told me that he will leave a message for the district manager to call me. I didnt hear a word from them I called again same thing no response. Dont waste your money on this business they dont care or will make amends to anything.
