Absolutely the worst & where to begin. I've had TrueGreen for 3yrs. Each year I have had issues with tech coming to the property, performing zero service & then sending me the electronic invoice. And how do I know this is happening, my wife works from home & watches them do nothing & drive away. This year no different except they killed my lawn. We have a grass called zoysia grass. Lays dormant until mid June. Well it never came back. TrueGreen said they would do a soil samples & after 2 weeks of hearing nothing i called them & shocker they have no record of a soil samples being taken. BIG SURPRISE!! Then I get a call from a manager name Jeff. Seem competent, told us yes the grass is dead but rest assured they will fix this. He had soil samples taken & guess what? The soil & quote from Jeff, your soil is tragically low on ph. Hhhhhmmm i have Lyme treatment every Spring, or did they say they put Lyme down. According to Jeff he said, quote, looks like it wasn't done from the soil samples results. WOW, ANOTHER SERVICE I PAID FOR THAT WASN'T DONE. Jeff said they would do the Lyme treatment & then clean up the dead grass & reseed. Well one of 3 was done. No Lyme was applied, dead matted grass never removed & they air-rated the lawn & seeded twice with in a weeks period. Grass is patchy at best, frankly lawn looks like crap. Massive dead spot on the side yard & backyard & nothing from TrueGreen. My front lawn was beautiful. Never had to water, never crabgrass, it was like a carpet. Jeff has disappeared & doesn't respond to my text messages. So my advice is do your lawn yourself. This company does not care at all.
Terrible company!! We have been using their service for the past three years. We even had aeration and seeding for the first two years. They destroyed our grass..... We contacted them via email, and the final two technicians promised to notify management about how bad our grass looked. Nothing happened, no one called, and nobody cares! Awful company!
Stay away from these thieves. The sales people try to sell you every possible service they offer. I signed up for maintenance and I was clear that I didn’t want the aeration of my lawn. I also did tell them I wanted to be there for the first service. They sent the technician on a day I wasn’t there, they did the aeration and charged my card. The technician should have seen that I had areas of my lawn that were recently seeded by my landscaping company, which I had recently paid for. That’s now money down the drain. Now they are saying they won’t refund me. How easy to lose a customer only 4 days after I signed up. Stay away from this company. They don’t care about customer service, they just want your money. Pathetic.
Not lawn care pros at all. The techs they hire are not trained properly and the service is hit or miss depending on who comes to your property that day. They shredded my new sod during their recent aeration even after I called to remind them to avoid the sodded areas. Waste of a season and a waste of money. Their negligence and recklessness has lead me to file a complaint with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection before they hurt somebody.
After 3 years with TruGreen this is what my lawn looks like. After complaining the last time about 3weeks ago they sent out supposedly the supervisor. They did a free service because I wasn’t satisfied with my lawn. Now Three weeks later this is what my lawn looks like. Not sure how they are still in business. I finally canceled my contract because obviously lawn care is not what they should be in business for. For three years I paid for their program which included aeration, seeding,and all their weed prevention services. Thanks for the Brown lawn and the shame of the neighborhood!!!
Trugreen destroyed my yard and they are not lawn care experts as advertised. Trugreen neglected to look at my lawn when fungus was spreading throughout. I spent hours on the phone with them and they kept setting up the wrong service weekly until my whole yard died. The new manager, Jeff, was great and offered to reseed the thing in the spring for no cost. They came back, aerated, seeded and fertilized as promised. Since they put down a quarter of the fertilizer needed ( had 15 foot stripes around entire yard) I decided to cancel the contract and fertilize myself, which immediately got better results. Summer time now and my yard is 90 percent crabgrass and nut sedge. The seed they put down was garbage and my yard looks worse than the side of a highway.
Our lawn had gone Untreated for at least two seasons and possibly longer with the prior owners. Needless to say it was in need of care. The two times Trugreen has serviced our lawn it has been our experience that Kevin is great asset to TruGreen and their customers. Kevin has been professional, efficient and most of all friendly. The lawn showed a marked improvement as to color and weed control following Kevin’s first application. We will see if TruGreen’s second application improves our already now great looking lawn.
For years TruGreen has called and asked me to switch from lawn doctor. The owner of lawn doctor sold out so I figured it was time to try TruGreen. It has been a scheduling problem at times. My street has all beautiful manicured lawns that everyone including myself have always taken seriously. This year when everyone has been raving about what a good year it’s been for their lawn, mine has not. The guy who treated my lawn said I needed my shrubs done because of insects. Paid extra for that the resulted in no improvement and I’ll probably have to tear them out or get someone else to treat them. I Han NEVER had a grub problem… well now my lawn is dying and lifting up in several areas the size of a car. My front lawn is now the eye soar in my neighborhood. They treated for grubs really early in the season and I asked the technician why and he said he does what he’s told. So now when my lawn usually looks fantastic in the early fall. It is mud bath in my front lawn. I lift up a piece of grass and I literally can see dozens of grubs in a 6 inch space. Absolutely disgusted with the service I’ve been getting from TruGreen. I Can never I mean never talk to someone other than an operator at a phone center. So disgusted and don’t know what to do about my RUINED lawn!! And most of my neighbors have the landscaper take care of their fertilizer and grub prevention. Not me I trusted in a company to do a good job! And this is all they do! We pay a lot for the service of our lawns , work hard for my income everyday. I guarantee you if I did a poor job at work and a customer complained I’d be fired!! Also they came out to treat after I first complained and it’s actually gotten worse?!?! Here we go again my lawn looks absolutely terrible again!!! 2nd year in a row. Missed services and I’m almost 100% positive the last service my back yard was skipped!!! Worst lawn in the neighborhood 9/13/24 Grubs are back AGAIN 2nd year in row, they either won’t or can’t care for my lawn!!I did have a beautiful lawn until I switched to tru green I did meet one nice guy that serviced my lawn but nice doesn’t help anymore!!lawn is lifting like carpet I spent an entire weekend reseeding and doing the work myself. I will have to after paying someone to take care of my lawn have to do it my self!!! Don’t know what else to do! My lawn looks awful!!! All they had to do was just maintain what was there!!excuses have worn out! probably shouldn’t have switched from lawn Doctor that was the Covid year and nothing was going right
We had the same experience as many of the recent reviews with photos of ruined lawns. After 2 seasons with Trugreen our lawn was ruined, despite calling repeatedly to have the problems assessed and corrected. After the aeration that was done so poorly in the Fall, we called another company, the new company showed us an abundance of grubs in the soil, areas where cinch bugs had infested the lawn, they re did the aeration and did the necessary thatching Trugreen did not do or recommend. By November our lawn already looked significantly better. Because you can only reach a useless call center when you try to contact the Trugreen location servicing your lawn, we sent a letter to the Danbury location detailing all of problems. We asked that the last treatment service and the aeration be removed from our bill. We offered to pay for the seed. We heard nothing until receiving a collections demand letter for the full amount. NEVER use Trugreen. They are dishonest, deceitful, unprofessional, they will rip you off - take your money and ruin your lawn, then send someone to try to upsell you on other services for your trees and shrubs. Cannot complain about this branch to BBB because they aren t listed, probably too many complaints. If it was possible to give them zero stars we would. Will look into reporting them to the state licensing board.

First did service late September but it rained that night. Showed up again week later but much too soon to retreat lawn. Why was he sent a week later? He is a good guy sent much to soon to redo Your management needs retraining for proper lawn care timing of visits.

Dont waste your time. They onky want your money and dont listen to what you want and need. I called teygreen because I knew I had grubs. I wanted my lawn aerated and sprayed for grub. They came 3.times so far to aerated, put fertilizer and some other thing. They then called me trying to milk another few hundred from me for grub care. The trugreen rep said you have grubs and we want to spray for that. Its a few treatments. I explained that I knew i had them and that was the only reason I called them. Update: Trugreen made it right. Within a few hours of this review I was contacted by them. They apologized for the inconveneance and sent a specialist out to my house to confirm. Everything is now good and I do ot need to purchase another package. This looks to be like sales being sales....
Ryan was a pleasure to deal with. He addressed all my concerns and offered advice on how to achieve a great lawn going forward. He answered all my questions and offered assistance wherever needed. He is obviously knowledgeable and gave me peace of mind by taking the guesswork out of the lawn care process!
I specifically voiced my concern for large bare spots on my lawn prior to signing up. I was yessed up and down and assured my problem areas would be addressed with more than just fertilizer. While they did seed a little, and I stress the word little, it was not even close to the amount needed to take hold. The areas I have need lots of seeds and hay which is something they dont do and something they dont tell you when signing on. If you are looking for more than just fertilizer look elsewhere.

DO NOT CALL OR SEND ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION TO TRUEGREEN!!!! You will immediately be harassed NONSTOP via phone calls, texts and emails by several different people from several different states attempting to force you into using their service. On the first day after I requested a quote online, I was contacted by Bryan Serrano at the local office and asked all my questions and then got a quote. After I spoke to him, I received several more phone calls from others. I then started getting texts. The same number would call every 10 minutes. I instructed several people to stop calling and remove my info from their calling list. The calls and texts increased. Monday I received 27 phone calls and text messages alone. Here we are several days later and I can not get them to stop the harassment. I sent a few emails to Bryan Serrano asking them to stop calling me and he assured me that I would not get anymore phone calls. Today I have already received a text message and 3 phone calls from different numbers. I told them that if the calls did not stop I would be reporting them to the BBB, the FCC and I would leave negative reviews. So here I am warning everyone to STAY FAR AWAY from this company. I have told them I already signed with another company and they continue to try and sell me their service. STAY FAR FAR AWAY.
This company is very poorly managed and it has a very negligent business practice. It regularly fails its customers. Their advertisements are misleading and deceptive. They offer contracts that they breach on the first day and every day there after. They mix up treatments, double charge for their services. For each service they should carry the prescribed chemicals on their truck however frequently they do not or by the time they reach a customer they might have run out of it. In such case they simply substitute their treatment with whatever they have on their truck. This is the same as if a pharmacist gave a patient a medicine other than what their doctor prescribed because he ran out of that medicine. THEREFORE, THEIR SERVICES ARE UNPREDICTABLE. Accordingly, they work by a bad algorithm that no one in the company including their technicians are familiar with, let alone understand. Consequently, even in the best case scenario their service is doomed. Their charge is the same for good service or bad alike. Frequently, they falsely claim to have performed multiple applications on the same day resulting in multiple charges. Without advanced disclosure this practice is unacceptable, misleading and suspect of cheating. It is also indicative of disorganized management and negligent, incompetent and dishonest technicians. These technicians are poorly trained or outright uneducated related to their work. Other times their truck carries the wrong chemicals or ineffective ones or inappropriate in quality or insufficient in quantity. When a customer complains they promise to do a make up service but they don t keep their promises or the makeup service is just as poor and ineffective as the first one. I fired this company on multiple occasions in the past. This year I decided to try them again, maybe having been overly optimistic or gullible but also wanting to give them a second chance for the third or fourth time. However, they continued their previous dishonest approach and I had to fire them again. I discovered that I was being double charged for services that were not even performed. We say in America that everyone deserves a second chance. That rule should exclude this company. This company needs a shakeup from top to bottom: new management, new business model and new and better trained staff. At the present time they are only usurpers at best of an honest business.
Priced me out at $1,800 for the year. I said it was a little expensive and I d have to think about it and decided to just hang up on me out of frustration.

I had TruGreen to insect and disease control this morning. I am hoping for positive return in this area. So far the lawn is coming up and the plants are looking healthy. I still need to remove some weeds and get mulch in, but the service is really good I am happy to have TruGreen. Thank you.

True green is an absolute nightmare. Doesnt matter how many times I call to correct your problems. You messed up again I am contacting corporate headquarters. Nothing to do with the representative has to do with your company. You mess up apply the wrong application to my property in June belong to a neighbor. Numerous phone calls I never got my June application never got my grub control. Finally after being furious that come today and all the applies fertilizer. I did not get any weed control I did not get my grub control I called my yard is full of nutsledge they were supposed to apply that I have no idea of how your company could be so incompetent and unresponsive. Your manager from Connecticut me in June apologizing for the wrong application I have this number Ive called him numerous times he never calls back. He said hes a new manager trying to get the place up and running right well its worse than it was before. And I prepaid you tell me what youre going to do about your company and how you could correct this problem now UPDATE. since my last review I needed to add, Joe the new manager from CT Tru Green was here personally and addressed my concerns. My lawn is looking much better. He worked very hard to make things right. I appreciate his knowledge and willingness to makes thing right. So far, terrible. And I haven t even gotten my service yet. When calling to find out pricing and other info, the customer service person was fine at first, but quickly became not so nice once she realized I was not ready to sign up right away during this call. Then, I sign up and my service is scheduled for a Friday., I m waiting for them to come all that day, and I get an automated call that afternoon saying they ve reacheduled my device to the next Tuesday. I call to find out what s going on because I really needed this done today. They tell me they re out of the chemicals. And there s nothing they can do for me. And that no, I cannot speak to anyone else.

The day after I told the rep I wasnt interested I got a call from another rep...I told her again, that I wasnt interested and to remove my number from their system. Since then, Ive gotten 4 more calls from TruGreen. DO NOT ENGAGE with this business unless you want to be spammed continually by their sales team.

The first treatment was done in early April. It killed 90% of the dandelions that would normally grow on the front and back lawn. Im looking forward to see what happens after the second treatment which was done today About five weeks from the first treatment.

This lawn care business is extremely poorly run. I had used them for years because they could offer deals on pricing, and I could get refunds every time they screwed up, but I finally had to give up and switch to someone else. They made so many mistakes and caused me so much grief with my lawn that I couldnt take it anymore. I wish I had kept a detailed log of all the aggravation. Every year I think I spent almost as much time on the phone with them as I would have spent taking care of the lawn myself.

I called about six times and each time got different answers as to where and when the technician would be at my house. I have a dog and I need to be notified before any Treatment was supposed to have taken place between 7 AM and 12 PM. Robert came at 2:15 PM. I was not notified by text

Leon did a great job applying weed preventer on our lawn today.
When I bought our home, the yard was full of weeds and lots of bare spots. I spent two years on my own trying to get rid of the crabgrass and other weeds with limited success. One year with TruGreen and the weeds were gone and the grass fuller and thicker. Even though I love working on my yard, I m extending my contract with TruGreen because the results are worth the price.

I find that the visits by TruLawn are usually visibly beneficial to my property . My only complaint is that it s difficult to make contact by phone to the nearest office to ask questions or make a request .

Joel and I believe his name was Frank were here last week to do some seed and minor repair. To my surprise not only were they polite explained what they were going to do and did more than I expected. They greeted me as soon as they saw me gave me their names tell me what they were going to do and afterwards cleaned up as if it was their own yard. I was actually so surprised and extremely happy not only with their service but with their concern and treat it this like it was their own home and like I was their only customer. I have to say I think I joked with them and called them the Dream Team. I would say that TruGreen has assets with these two technicians. I welcome them here anytime Services needed. I would rate them both a 10 star. Its so nice to know that True Green has technicians who really care and treat their customers as if its for their own home. Kudos to both of them and TruGreen

Sketchy at best. Continuous turnover of technicians . Often very poor service applications. Have been a long standing customer but service techs need to be watched and supervised like a hawk. I dont trust them unless Im actually watching the service. Rarely see the same tech twice. Results are that I have to have re dos of the applications. Scheduling of other services often need to be changed due to close proximity of last service, invoices will multiply fast . Troy Z, the last tech here for a do over as a result of previous tech doing poor work, Troy was a pleasure to have, did a great job and was very pleasant to have here on my property. I hope to see him again. Tru green techs like him are a rarity. Its a very frustrating service, but I will also say that Tru green has always honored their complete satisfaction guarantee. Only problem is I dont like standing over them to make sure they are doing things properly.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. My husband paid over 1,000.00 for services for them to treat our property (lawn upkeep l, kill weeds etc) as well as pest control. They came ONCE for our lawn and we re here for literally 4 minutes. No one has come to retreat the lawn and property, no one has come for weeds and surely no one has come for pest control when they have had plenty of time to do so. We were totally scammed. We re a family with a newborn child. Shame on you for taking anyone s money and not providing services. That is money for food on the table, electricity, clothes. This company should be closed down and reported. I am utterly disgusted with their services and want a full refund for the negligible work they did. DO NOT use them. Please save yourself the headache and dent in your pocket.

I will give 1 star only because I cant give 0 and because their cancelation and refund department was excellent. I hired Tru green to help with grass maintenance, moss removal and grub control; and upon my initial call told the rep I wanted a tech to.come.out so I could show the exact spots on my lawn I needed help as the whole yard was unnecessary and I did not want any chemicals near my childs swingset. No tech ever arrived to speak with me or measure what I wanted and instead sprayed my entire yard including the swingset area. Upon complaining I was told a tech would come out and adjust the situation and measure my lawn, no tech came out and a 2nd application was done to my entire lawn. By mid May no grub application had been done and when I asked when this would happen I was told this week (week of May 15th) and as the date of my cacnelling (today, June 1) no grub control was done. I cannot tell you to avoid this company like the plague with anymore emphasis, they operate like a scam and are only interested in your money and ignore the customer at every chance. I will advise the entire greater Danbury area to avoid Tru Green and support a local business instead, this is perhaps the worst lawn company Ive ever dealt with in my life, Run!!

I called Trugreen to find out what they were spraying on my neighbors property because it washes down onto mine. There were 8 chemicals on the list. They refused to tell me, only saying don t worry about it but the guy actually hung up on me!!! I was planning on having my lawn done after I do some property renovation, but now I think they must be spraying super toxic chemicals or why would they act that way? I had pesticides sprayed here by another company when I had a bug problem and they told me everything they were spraying. This company is obviously doing something shady. I suggest you look elsewhere for lawn or tree care.

Trugreen does a good job. Easy to reschedule and always updating arrival time... Leon, Bryan, and Joshua are fantastic employees and are the main reason I stay with trugreen. Joshua in particular goes out of his way to explain what he is doing and how to maximize the service in days following the service. Thank you Joshua for your continued hard work and helpful pointers.
Relatively inexpensive and easy to track using their app. The visits are very quick and we havent seen a tick on the property (or my dog) since we started using them.

We started using TruGreen this year. We are very happy with them. Our lawn is starting to look amazing even though they were up front and said by next year we will start to really see the results but we are starting to see results now. We cant wait to up next year springs to us from their services.

Ok, so signed up for Tru Green on April 3, 2023. my very 1st service was not performed on time and I was credited my 1st and 2nd service fees. ok so I decided to really give them a chance and then again my 4th service was never performed nor was I contacted about them not coming. when I called Tru green they told me they didnt know why my service never happen because there were no notes on my acct. they gave me a new date which was today Aug 2 and guess what nobody showed or called. I dont recommend anyone pay for Tru Green in Danbury CT or any area that they service they are horrible. POINT BLANK.
Disaster of a company. Incompetence. Absolutely nightmare. No one has called back regarding our issue. Each time I call, I am routed to a different area. I call the number for Danbury, Connecticut, but I get customer service in RI and Jersey answering the phone telling me its not their department. They say theyll leave a message for my rep, but the service rep never called me. its 3 weeks now. When I mention Im gonna go to the physical office, the representatives tell me there may not be anybody there. They dont know if anybodys working there and what the office hours are. Therefore, Im not driving 1 hour to an office that may or may not exist. The weed control they put down is soooo strong that my whole neighborhood smells it for at least a day. Im trying to find out what went wrong the last time the tech applied the poison.... We think the mixture was too strong because he was overcome with the smell, and he started banging the hose around. Banging against my house & started cursing, screaming, & and swearing (words that I cant put in writing in the review), so loudly that the neighbors came out to ask if he needed help. He apologized & said that hes having a bad day and took off. We had to clean up the entire outside of the house. This poison was everywhere .... coated the driveway, cars, patio, and the sides of the house. We do not want him here again & Trugreen refuses to call us back.

Though the reviews are telling, Ill add my two cents. TruGreens actions have been detrimental to my lawn, and Ive found myself in a continuous cycle of addressing their service mishaps. Their affordable rates are a double-edged sword; affordability sometimes compromises quality. Consequently, Im opting for a pricier service, which seems justifiable, given they dont bear a dismal rating on Google reviews like TruGreen.
This should be illegal in neighborhoods where the houses are close together... the spray have blown into my yard and is affecting my vegitable garden needless to say my crops that I worked on all summer are now trash.

Do not use this company!! Two years after cancelling their service, I am still receiving incessant calls and texts from this company. What s worse, they will come onto your property and treat your lawn without your permission! Even without an account anymore, I continue to get notified that I am scheduled for service. There is a massive disconnect between their customer service department and the workers on the routes you will never get out of this contract if you join them. There have been countless times I have called to remind them I do not want their service, only to have their techs show up the next day to treat my lawn. What a nightmare. Once you hand over your information to them, you are stuck for life. Stay away from this company at all costs.

We contracted True Green to aerate, over seed and fertilize our 800 total sq ft lawn. My total price was just under $600/ yr. They came aerated and seeded, never touched the backyard and left clumps of seeds in the front. I called their customer service line who assured me they would fix this immediately rescheduled to re aerate and see the next day. After looking at my backyard the following day, I was shocked. They aerated, a 6x8 area (if that) less than half the yard. I called again, to cancel the service contract and was told I am being billed $200 for the service they provided. (Aeration and over seeding) All their customer service representative kept saying is we can t give you a service for free. We have to bill you. I m sorry and we understand WHAT???? The issue is two times they had a chance to aerate and over seed my lawn and twice they showed their lack of attention to detail and poor quality performance. I strongly recommend with another company, Sav-A-Tree or a local landscaper. This is ridiculous!!! To be clear I did not want a free service, I wanted the service I paid for to be done correctly.
If I could give this company Negative stars I would. Im never one to post reviews but this company is absolutely terrible and disorganized. When I signed up, I was told that a gentleman named Brian would be my account manager. He was great at first and told me that he would be handling my account directly with a plan in place to further help me with my lawn. Even though I signed up I was still bombarded with emails and calls from various Trugreen numbers. Fast forward to my first service and as fast as I received the notification that the technician was at my house, I received another notification that he was complete. When I reached out to Brian, I was told the weather was to blame (it was 72* and sunny) and that he incorrectly inputted the lawn size on the property (showed correct size on the invoice). After this I felt I could not trust this company to do the job and asked for a full refund. I was told by 3 separate people different amounts that I would be refunded back. When I was finally able to get in touch with a manager, he informed me that he would email me a confirmation of the full refund and it may take a few days to process through billing. Fast forward to today and a different technician showed up to complete another service that was supposed to be cancelled. When I attempted to get in touch with Brain he would not pick up the phone and when I tried to call his manager he was on vacation. This prompted me to call the store where I was routed to a call center and informed that my services were never cancelled. This whole experience has been very frustrating and should have been handled better.
Tech was not able to complete the aeration and seeding because his machine was too big to get into all areas. However, another appointment was made to complete the service. Louis was very professional and did a good job of getting to all areas that were accessible with his equipment. Most important, he let me know when he arrived and we were able to discuss what he was doing today.
Louis went out of his way today to satisfy my needs
So far so good. Cant wait to see the difference TruGreen makes. All about results!

TruGreen They suck, stay away. You cant even call the local office anymore, you can only call the main office and hope that they local office gets your message. Also they missed applicaitons and never came back, even though they said they would, and dont call back, and there is no guarantee, they say they would redo the application, but never did. Stay away from them, they are basically a scam operation.
This company knows nothing about punctuality I had a scheduled day for aerating and reseeding for sept 21st I took off from work to be home no one showed up I called and they couldn t find my scheduled then they scheduled it for Friday the 22Nd no show again not a call or text to notified me that they wasn t coming so I called again and told me the same excuses that they don t see anything scheduled so they rescheduled me for sept 28th which is tomorrow so today I called to ask what time are they coming because I took off from work again to be home for the schedule but again they tell me that there s no appointment for tomorrow this it s unacceptable so now I have to wait 24 hours so they can generate another schedule day So today it s Oct 2nd and tru green technician came to do my aeration and seeding at my home I was at work but was checking the tech on my camera system so the back yard he forgot to aerate the center of my yard but in the front he was horrible went thru with the machine in the middle of the yard twice went and came back and put his machine away then started over seeding wow I m going to try and post the video now

Tried TruGreen for the first time this year. First sign that I made a mistake was when the sales guy on the phone told me an out the door price and then charged my CC $450 more than authorized. Then when they showed up, the operator did one pass thru my 1.5 acre lawn turned around and packed up and left. Missed 95% of the lawn. Called and complained and they said they would come back for a free service. I got the email when they were on the way , and waited outside so I could talk to the guy about making sure he did the entire lawn. Hour later I get another email saying my service had been completed. Nobody was ever at my house, I have cameras all around. I regret ever picking up that mailer and calling for a quote. Do NOT make the same mistake I did, I am positive that you will not have a worse experience than with this company!

Heads up - bad experience with Trugreen Lawn Service. We contracted for lawn service (no mowing), shrub care and mosquito spray and the lawn looks worse than it did a year ago. The wrong credit card was charged originally, the annual service was over $900 more than what we contracted for, their app was missing months of charges and they performed aeration and overseeing the first week of August (the hottest/sunniest days of the year) for over $650 - which did nothing. They have scheduled additional services to look at the state of the lawn and have been no-shows twice without a reason. I have been told since this is your first year it takes some time for it to work however this lawn was maintained by TruGreen by the previous owners. We will be searching for a new service this year.
I purchased a summer service program, i had more weeds at the end of summer than the start of it. True green customer service is useless as they will just take your complaint but nobody reaches out. It s just a money grab, go to home depot and do it yourself

The lawn person we now have does an excellent job. It shows in his work that he truly cares and gives helpful hints. He takes time to discuss any issues and makes sure the job was done right.

Today was my first experience with Trugreen lawn care, and when I met with the specialist, Tyrell G. He was very friendly and right off the bat, pointed out and confirmed some of the issues that I was having with my lawn before even telling him. Hopefully in the next few weeks as my plan continues, I ll see improvements with my lawn specifically with the weed control and grub issue that I m having.
I tried TruGreen this year and I am very pleased. My lawn had been neglected for years due to the cost to do it myself. The service not only improved my lawn substantially this year, but it also cost me less than trying to do it myself!
On time, efficient and courteous sevice
I had a good experience with this tech as i do with most, however, not all do a really thorough job. This one went beyond the rest to try and save my back yard which has a huge area completely brown and dead full of weeds. This condition is due to a lack of earlier thorough applications of weed and insect control. The high employee turnover leaves much to be desired and after four years of tru green maintenance my lawn is not a good reflection of professional lawn care.
One has to keep an eye on the work being performed by the Technicians of TruGreen. In case of any problems the Customer Service has been very good to do a follow-up, but if it is done right the first time then there is no need for a follow-up!

If youre looking to transform your lawn into a giant weed patch over multiple years that has no lawn left and only giant masses of weeds, I recommend working with TruGreen. Ive used them now for approximately ten years and my lawn is now a giant thatch of weeds. They are green though. Truly awful company with ineffective products and they dont stand behind their business whatsoever, would NOT recommend. Just awful.

Hi- So I got notification that TruGreen was coming to treat my lawn last week. I was home all day. They told me that they were coming, then called to inform me of completed service. They NEVER showed up to actually complete the work or service. Since they marked it as completed, it has been a nightmare trying to get them to come back and actually complete the work.

Trugreen only aerated and treated my front lawn and not side and back yard. Why would I pay so much for only a small portion of the lawn. Called customer service and they said someone will call back... still waiting for a response.
I will try to list some of the many issued he: 1. Never perform the service that are supposed to and always have an excuse (aeration machine is supposedly broken) 2. Some days the tech just say they dont have the gate code when its onthe notes 3. The techs contradict each other in regards to how and when services should be performed 4. They came to my property and did 2 services but lied on the invoice as to what they were (They did fertilizing one day and seeding another- they incorrectly uploaded invoices saying they did weed control and aeration) 5. The office branch never answers their phone Overall an absolutely terrible band that just wants to take your money and provide no service
Melvin who came to aerate and seed my property was polite, professional and knowledgeable. He wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with the amount of seed he had thrown! Really impressed with his politeness!

Management and customer service impossible to communicate with since they hide behind 800 number that keeps you on hold endlessly.
