We are very pleased with NaturaLawn and especially our technician Kai who always takes the time to answer any questions I have. He is professional and courteous and passionate about his work. I've been using NLA for 3 years now. The first year they told me it would take a couple of seasons to get the best results. They were absolutely correct. My lawn looks and feels great. Visitors always compliment my lawn and I have given many referrals. Unlike the previous company I used, NLA does not flood my emails with pricy service recommendations and I have been very pleased with their customer service.
This is my second time trying NaturaLawn. When I called them I specifically told them I left previously because I was disappointed they would show up with no notice. They promised to text before service this time around. Not only did they not text, they came on rainy days when all the chemicals would wash away. Then they would come on days with frost and say they couldn’t to the entire lawn yet had no problem charging full price. But today was the final straw. They showed up without notice and when I called to complain they packed up and left, which is fine. However they left no paperwork on what they put on my grass. I found HUGE clumps of yellow product all over my yard. My 4 month old puppy started eating it. I have no way of looking up the substance to see if it’s safe if ingested. I will never use this company again nor will I recommend them to anyone.
Disappointing. I gave them two years to turn my lawn around doing everything they recommend (including core aeration in the fall), but my back yard is full of crab grass -- more than I have every seen. When I saw the technician at my last treatment, his response was that we use the yard to practice soccer (pointing to the soccer net) which causes the weeds. What? Total waste of money. I am switching to another company that my neighbors use. When I called to cancel the service, they were very apathetic about it...like this happens all the time attitude. No attempt to rectify or ask what the issues were.
Generally, I am not happy with the overall service. Aerated and seeded at the start of the year. This helped about half of the bare spots in the front of the year. Was unable to eliminate many of the weeds that we talked about at the beginning of the session in the back of my yard (stilt grass, wild violets) and didn't handle the crab grass in front. I have a few large dead spots in front. I brought these issues to their attention several times. I shared these pictures with them.
I am going to just go back to overseeding my lawn every year myself. The $300-$400 of applications threw out the year from this company are 0 help. I’ve been using them for over 2 years and have followed their recommendations. My lawn has looked terrible both years and they always seem to have an excuse. First year they said it was compacted soil that killed all my grass, next year it was brown patch. Both years I’ve gone from 90-100 grass coverage to 30-40% after the summer. Also please check behind their service, I was told that compacted grass ruined my lawn so I should aerate. They came out and only pulled nearly .25-.5 plugs and left. If I didn’t check and complain my lawn would have still been compacted. Lucky I watched a video on their parent companies site which showed deep plugs and a process of screening the lawn after which the tech never did. When I called to complain they did come and redo it, but my point is if I hadn’t watched my lawn would still be compacted and money flushed down the toilet. This companies scheduled feeding and soil treatments just haven’t worked. My lawn once again is filled with weeds and little to no grass and one of the ugliest on the block.
I have been very pleased with the organic treatment services of NLA for the past few years. Our lawn is healthy, thick and green. So far I have recommended them to two other people who now also use their service. I also like the fact that they do a soil test of your lawn so the treatments are individualized specifically for your lawn. Not only do they respond to questions and possible problems quickly but also give advance notice of scheduled treatments giving you time to rake up leaves or cut the grass. Try it, you will like it. No complaints!

Dont give NaturaLawn your contact info. They will never stop harassing you with calls/texts. After a year of requesting that they stop contacting me, I still get unsolicited calls and texts

I ve had a similar experience to another poster. Signed up for 7 treatments, pre-paid. I didn t hesitate at all because I ve seen their signs around my neighborhood for years now. They did a single treatment in April and I ve been trying to hunt them down since then. Often, their phones just aren t working, and emails go without response. A technician was supposed to arrive today (I even confirmed with the office THIS MORNING) and no one has come. And, of course, their phones are not working once again.

Look they are friendly and do worry about your lawn. But the treatment needs to be a little stronger for certain weeds.
marketing, great. concept, great. logistics and actual application was almost non existent. They said applications were scheduled every 8 weeks or so. So I tried to be the one to schedule the next application and I couldn t even do that. They said they will do it. So the 9th week, I called to cancel services and they called back to schedule. This happened twice. The best thing they did for me was refunding the rest of unused services.
Customer service has steadily decreased the past couple of years. We canceled our service plan.
My lawn has never looked so good since Natural Lawn if Damascus took over. I tried 5 other lawn services before them and all they did was feed my weeds and I had many. My lawn now thick, green, the usual small weeds along edges, but one treatment, they are brown and can be pulled. Donnie is my favorite person to care for my lawn! Everyone I have talked to in this company CARES, they are professional, courteous, and aim to make you happy.
Having someone keep track of what needs to be done so our lawn will be happy and healthy is a pleasure. NaturaLawn has always been professional and the techs are friendly and keep me up to date on what theyre treating my lawn for. The reminder calls are a big help as are the written materials. So we are the people who can never get a green lawn . We live in an old area with overgrown trees and roots coming out of the ground . Tried everything from Home Depot made no difference . I figured just our area. Naturalawn came in and has been about a year and we now have a lawn that has golf course grass . The nice part was there were a couple areas that still looked roughed and they still reseeded at no cost . What they charge is a bargain compared to headache of running to the store play much better results .
The NaturaLawn staff are always pleasant, provide notice of the upcoming treatment date, explain the treatment being applied on the date of the work, together with advice on what to do for the next season and send a written explanation the day after. The prices are very reasonable, and the results visible.
Our lawn has looked better each year weve been with Natural Lawn, which now is MANY! The technicians are able to answer questions on the spot, or will find out questions they dont have immediate answers for. There is always a pleasant response to phone inquiries, and always advance notice of when a treatment will be done. Best of all, its not a chemical treatment!
Do NOT waste your money on lawn care from this company. They were hired to improve weed control and didnt even spray any weed killer all summer and only sprayed some fertilizer. Our lawn looked so bad that others had even commented to us how bad it looked and then charged us almost $400 treatments that made our lawn look worse than when we started.
They did a fantastic job aerating and overseeding my lawn. Following their watering instructions and my grass is now coming up an it looks fantastic.
Recently I chose the alternative lawn care program with Natural Lawn of America - Damascus in Maryland. I chose this program because I have a dog and I don t want to worry about harmful chemicals on my lawn. Previously I was taking care of the lawn myself and the results were less than satisfactory. Remotely I was told the cost but when the technician arrived and actually measured, it was less square footage and so the cost was adjusted. I m liking them already! Everything was explained very thoroughly and several Fact Sheets were left for me to read. I m getting even happier about this service. When the technician arrived for the first treatment, he was polite, professional and genuinely nice. Told me everything I needed to know. When the second technician arrived for treatment of fleas and ticks, he was equally polite and professional. He also left a Fact Sheet explaining the treatment. Other businesses should take note of their hiring policies. They hire the nicest people! The bottom line here is that this company is top notch and I could not be happier. Thank you so much!!
Weve been a client of NLA-Damascus for many years and have never been disappointed. Our lawn is always green and lush. Any problems, like one instance of grubs, were immediately addressed and resolved. We always adhere to any suggestions left by the staff after every treatment. The president of our HOA has often commented that our house, lawn and landscaping is the most beautiful in our development. Even our neighbor across the court said she enjoys looking at our lawn and landscaping. We would not hesitate to recommend NaturalLawn.

For about two years NaturaLawn cared for my front lawn. This summer it became infested with grubs and dead spots spread throughout. After treatment, the dead grass needed to be removed and reseeded. Whoever did the work left a series of holes and trenches in the yard where grass and dirt had been, and then threw seeds down in those areas. I had to go to Lowes to buy three bags of lawn soil, put it down myself, and reseed in order to prevent the lawn from growing back uneven and fully of ruts. Needless to say, I cancelled my service and explained why, but there was really no attempt to bring restitution for any inconvenience or out of pocket expenses for a job that I think any lawn-service professional could have easily seen was not done completely. I wish I had better things to say.
