XtraCare Landscaping in Damascus

While I have not hired them to do work, quite a few of my neighbors have. Each time they have done a project, they have cut the bricks to fit as needed. They take no (xtra)care in trying to dampen the dust that their cutter creates, subsequently covering everything for a block in brick dust. Theoretically, yes its dust, it will wash away the next rains, but it covers everything and a lot that will not get washed by rain. And, while we wait for the next rain, the car, the windows & screens I just paid big $ to have cleaned last month. Everything is covered. Also, after cutting and dusting up everything all day, they take the blower and blow off all the dust from the project creating an enormous dust cloud. I dont understand if this is standard/OK practice or if there is nothing to be done on their part, but I do think they should let folks know this will happen and help with the cleanup.

All parts of this process were seamless thanks to Mari and CJ. Crew was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Will be using Xtracare for every project in the future.

We used Xtra Care at the recommendation of our neighbor. First, they did an amazing job with some re-grading/foundation work at my parents house, after - get this - 5 months of warring with their HOA. CJ was ridiculously patient, re-writing estimates over and over to meet their expectations. I contanstly worried he would get annoyed and move on - the HOA had THAT many demands, but he was kind and amazing with that process! When that job finished, we had Xtra care to our house to replace the crumbling wall and steps to our side door. They also installed a permeable paver system. We are SO relieved and confident that we wont have basement flooding ever again. The crew was always on time and careful navigating the tight quarters of our back/side yard. Marcos was great with inspecting the job periodically and answered all our questions. Mari - she is a dream and I hope Xtra care is paying her well! She is ridiculously responsive, communicative, and organized, kept the whole thing on track, and honestly, if she didnt do such a great job with being the first point of contact, we may have gone elsewhere. This company is amazing with follow up, has fair pricing, great solutions, can work with difficult HOAs, is super patient, and does great work with great materials.

My husband and I recently hired XtraCare Landscaping to put turf down in our entire backyard and we were SO happy with their service. The entire process was seamless and easy. Their team is extremely responsive when it comes to emails and returning calls and getting back to you with answers. The workers that they sent out do to the job worked quickly and efficiently and did an amazing job. CJ is easy to get in touch with, quick to answer questions and made a point to come out to our home multiple times to check the work and answer questions that we had. We found their pricing to be extremely competitive and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to put turf down. FIVE STARS!!

I hired Xtra Care to fix a drainage issue in my back yard, put in a fence and new walk way. Im leaving this review days before completion because I am so happy with their work. CJ - the project manager, checks in frequently and ensures the work is meeting my expectations - along the way. When I had an issue with the esthetics of the walkway, he came out and we discussed alternatives without affecting the budget. Mari is a dream to work with. She responds to emails within minutes of me sending them and takes care of all admin sides of the project. All of the site workers are polite and diligent, and approachable for on the spot questions. Xtra Care isnt necessarily the cheapest of the quotes, but you get what you pay for, and TBH, I prefer to pay extra for good customer service and peace of mind that the work will meet my expectations.

We have used Xtra for several projects and they are absolutely phenomenal! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Christian is an outstanding project manager and is an excellent communicator. He and his team work really hard every time they are on site. Also, prices are reasonable and they are quick to respond with any questions

Xtra Care recently installed a brand new residential driveway for us and were very easy to work with. From the planning to the execution, it was an easy process, with fair pricing and skilled paver design work. We are very happy with the results!

Awesome job and very reasonably priced. They were really responsive, came out and gave me a quote and got started a week later. We needed them to tear out a ton of old irrigation and slate walkways and put down new sod. They finished it all in 4 days and it looks gorgeous. Thanks!

I want share my outstanding experience that Ive had the privilege of from XtraCare Landscaping for years now! They have transformed my overgrown yard, flower beds, bushes and trees into a beautiful sanctuary that I (and they) are very proud of. I enjoy being outside again! From the very beginning to the now on-going weekly mowing, weeding, 2 annual cleanups and landscape maintenance, the owner Cleber, the Office Coordinators, and my On-The-Ground Teams are always very professional, friendly, and they always happily exceed my landscaping desires. The Office Coordinators are exceptional in keeping me informed and everything rolling along very smoothly. The entire team that I have worked with has always taken such meticulous care and pride in the awesome landscaping they create. CJ and the foreman Marcos were very helpful with replacing our old cracked concrete driveway with brand new concrete pavers. They workers were on time everyday and were happy to walk me through what they were working on and if any issues were discovered. I was surprised with how quickly and cleanly the team works and would definitely hire them again for another project.

I am so glad I reached out to this company. The management, Mari, and Project Managers, C.J., and Christian, were delightful to work with. They were pleasant and helpful every step of the way. Their crews diligently and respectfully worked non-stop to build a stone wall around flower beds, and remove tangled roots and underbrush from under and around my trees. This was such a positive experience and I highly recommend them to other customers.

After contacting 4 different landscapers for a retaining wall quote Xtra Care was the clear winner. They gave an in depth overview of their design and better all others on price. Installation went smoothly with great results.

We hired XtraCare to build a flagstone walkway after they had done beautiful work for several people in our neighborhood in Takoma DC. We are thrilled with the result. It looks gorgeous. But what I m most happy with is that, when there were challenges, as there are with any construction project, the crew did not get frustrated or try to take any shortcuts they did the job in the best way possible. They even fixed a drain pipe that was not part of the project! And their price was reasonable and competitive.

We hired Xtra Care to build a new patio and sitting wall along with landscaping upgrades to five separate areas around the property. They provided a detailed landscape plan with everything we asked for; and more. The CAD drawing and 3D rendering really helped with providing the vision. They transplanted existing plants elsewhere on the property and created edged borders around existing tress and gardens. The team was very professional and were extremely helpful in offering different options to solving landscape and drainage issues. The project was scheduled quickly, with the construction team coming onsite first to complete the patio, followed by the landscape team to finish up. They have since been back to maintain the landscaping. We felt the pricing was fair, the quality of the patio and plant materials were top quality, and the staff were very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, punctual and helpful. The owners and customer service teams went out of their way to make this a very pleasant experience for us. They took our wish list and turned our home into a beautiful sanctuary. We love the outcome of the project and it surpassed our expectations. They were a pleasure to work with and we plan to hire them again to do some additional work. We highly recommend the Xtra Care team.

Kleber and the XtraCare Landscaping team were responsive to my inquiry and collaborative in coming up with a solution to replace the pavers in my patio. The quality of the work was solid. I only wish it was a little bit cheaper but overall very happy with the service provided.

Best Landscaping

They perform at a consistent and high quality. Their staff is helpful, informative and caring. I enjoy their gardening planning services. My only complaint is that they do not provide notification ahead of performing mowing services which makes it very difficult for me to clean up the lawn (dogs and kids). Most recently with their help we were trying to grow grass in a new area. The seed was spread without a topsoil or straw covering, arrogation instructions were not provided (I found my own) and when the grass did begin to grow the team mowed over it. This has happened twice now so as a result the grass seed did not take well and I will have to reseed in Spring. I do recommend this company despite this not so great experience. They have been great otherwise, especially when it comes to standing by their landscape services.

Xtra Care Landscaping changed out the fieldstone on our front path, replaced a retaining wall, and a ramp to our shed. We are very happy with how all three jobs turned out.

Work is very good. Just wish they charged where they are Germantown/Darnstown prices, not the highest possible prices. But if youre super rich, unlike me, use them, and you will not be disappointed.

We live in the DC area and have had a lot of construction projects on our old craftsman bungalow. It s usually anxiety inducing and expensive. Not with Xtracare. These guys are amazing. They know what they are doing, they steered us away from a more expensive project and provided us with a solution that hopefully will actually manage to address our needs better. CJ was so responsive, helped us go back and forth with the county, provided plans and drawings, delivered what they said they would on time, and it looks great. Their admin and support team were also very responsive, easy to deal with, and efficient. In the end we are really happy with our patio and driveway and it was all done for an incredibly reasonable price. Would 10/10 recommend these guys. Thank you!!

I hire a lot of contractors over the course of a year, and XtraCare was by far one of the best Ive worked with. They have excellent communication/customer service where they PROACTIVELY update you on timelines and statuses, they made great recommendations on materials for our hardscaping, and their pricing is on the higher end but definitely competitive and well worth the quality. The precision and attention-to-detail of the work was impeccable.

We hired Xtra Care to do a full back yard remodeling project. Their hardscaping, landscaping, and fence work was all outstanding. They excel in the areas of customer service, project management, and project execution. Highly recommend and will use again!

They like to spray grass on freshly mulched beds and then proceed to leave without cleaning up their mess. Management wont reply to emails

HVAC: Installed AC. Service Techs were very nice & professional. I would recommend and use XtraCare services again.

We worked with Xtra Care to install pavers and regrade the yard. They solved our drainage issue and installed a combo of permeable and non permeable pavers that look wonderful. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. It was a huge project, but they made it seem easy. We would definitely work with them again. Thanks!

Absolutely loved working with XtraCare. We were having the hardest time finding a contractor that would even show up to give an estimate for our backyard reno during the pandemic and our landscape designer recommended XtraCare. From the minute we got our estimate to the final planting, they were so accommodating, responsive and professional. Just a dream to work with! Mari in the office was super helpful and quick to answer questions and CJ our project manager checked in with us daily during construction. We feel so lucky to have found XtraCare. And now we have a beautiful yard to hang out in!

We hired XtraCare to rebuild a failing retaining wall along our driveway, repoint the masonry on another retaining wall, install a French drain behind the retaining wall that wasn t rebuilt, and reconstruct a concrete walkway that had subsided over the years. We had requested quotes from several reputable contractors, and XtraCare submitted a very reasonable bid. While it was not the lowest one received, our initial meeting with Cleber convinced us that he had a much better sense of the myriad challenges posed by the project (e.g., difficult topography, drainage issues, potential permitting obstacles) than the other contractors did. The project manager, CJ, was always responsive and let us know what to expect at every stage of the project. The crew was unfailingly friendly and diligent and even completed some work that was outside the scope of the project (repointing some crumbling mortar on the porch adjacent to the new retaining wall they built). We are extremely pleased with the results! Even the building inspector complemented us on the excellent craftsmanship. And two weeks after they completed the job, the crew returned to clean and inspect the wall one more time. Finally, the office staff Mari and Raquel were exceedingly helpful and communicative, always keeping us apprised of what was happening on the project and what to expect next. We cannot recommend XtraCare highly enough. They truly went above and beyond, and we intend to use them for any future projects on our house.

Ive waited two years to transform the concrete parking pad behind my house into a usable backyard. I couldnt be more satisfied with my experience with Xtracare landscaping. I found the whole team to be responsive, professional and attentive. I have one more outdoor project I want to take on next year and I will be using Xtracare to complete that one as well.

Excellent job after we agreed to a second draft of the project plans. The crew was very punctual and professional. The crew leader made welcome suggestions as they worked to make the final outcome look and function even better than originally designed, and better than I expected. He also made welcome suggestions for redesigning the flow of water on my downhill slope property that has had water collection problems for many years. Anybody having concrete pavers put in at a custom size or shape should know that cutting the pavers on site creates a lot of dust, but the effect is totally worth it.

We had such a positive experience the first time working with XtraCare, we hired them for a second job. They did hardscaping in our front yard to fix a drainage issue and installed a permeable paver driveway. The second time, they replaced a small wall and installed pavers on a walkway and covered old concrete steps with flagstone. All of the work was done well, the manager CJ checked on the quality everyday and the work was completed on time. The price was very fair for the quality of work.

XtraCare removed my old cracked and settling concrete driveway and poured a new one. The also removed a poorly built cinderblock retaining wall and installed nicer retaining wall blocks, properly backfilled with large gravel, and used a geo-mesh to keep the wall from leaning over time! They also did some quick cleanup around the yard for me from past landscaping projects I did myself at no extra cost. Unexpected rain unfortunately ruined the initial pour of the new driveway, but before I even realized that this happened XtraCare was tearing up the first pour, and re-poured the new driveway which came out perfect. The retaining wall also had some unexpected complications for getting a good level 1st row of retaining wall blocks, but the guys at XtraCare worked hard at tearing out the old wall & concrete footing to ensure a solid new wall went up well and wouldnt lean over time. Its been almost 2 months since the work has been performed, and weve since had a couple heavy rains which allowed me to watch the runoff run away from the house, which was the intention! Thanks XtraCare!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with XtraCare to renovate both our back and front yard in DC this summer. We had tile installed on our patio, sod laid in the upper backyard and front yard, and our downspout in the front extended underground. Overall we felt the communication was always clear and consistent with their lead administrator, Mari, and with our project manager, CJ. The quality of the work and the timeliness of both the hardscape and landscape crews fell right within our expectations. Moreover, we felt that the price for the quality of services received was fair.

I found XtraCare Landscaping through the DOEE RiverSmart program. The owner, Cleber Rodrigues came out personally to take measurements. The Project Manager, CJ was attentive and professional ensuring I understood how his team would be working at my property from start to finish. He was awesome! They removed all debris and respected my property as Id hoped. The installation of my permeable paver driveway, walkway and resurfacing of my steps was more beautiful than I imagined. The pavers used were gorgeous as was the slate used on my steps. Im still very pleased with their work which was installed in July. They finished the job faster than I thought it wouldve occurred. The attention to detail is amazing!! I highly recommend XtraCare Landscaping. Everyone I spoke with was great, especially Mari!! He entire teams customer service was impeccable!

I made a 5 oclock p.m. Appointment. I rushed out of work to make it on time and even delayed making dinner for my family. At 5:30 p.m. I emailed them to see if they were still coming. I shortly received a phone call saying that they had forgotten about the appointment. Since writing this they have met me on the weekend to give me a quote.

I was in the sod business for fifty years. Xtra Care was contracted to build my deck. I was very happy with the whole experience. The quality of the job was only exceeded by the professionalism of their staff. Any concern I had was resolved immediately. Mari in the office CJ as my contact and the whole constructive crew were very accommodating. The pricing was very fair and I feel I got an exceptional dollar value.

Xtra Care Landscaping helped us landscape our front and back yards, which included addressing a longstanding drainage issue in the backyard. The work included front and backyard design, landscaping, and hardscaping. The hardscaping included installing a new front brick walkway and a new back patio, as well as a backyard drainage system. The landscaping included planting of trees and bushes throughout the property. We worked with several people at Xtra Care all of whom provided responsive and helpful service. The large size of the project required some design adjustments, and the Xtra Care representatives were extremely responsive and helpful. The results were excellent.

The team did a great job! They sloped the ground away from the house (which was not previously the case), installed a pipe to carry the down spout water under the patio and put down the base and paver patio. They also built a stone step for us to get into the house. While digging, they cut our verizon fios line, which is the reason for the B rating under professionalism. They did handle the situation professionally by installing a second pipe under the patio for the Verizon team to thread the cable through at a later date without any up charge, however we were without internet for a few days. They used Nicolock pavers which give the patio a more sophisticated look than just the typical pavers. We are very pleased with their work and will definitely use them for future hardscaping needs.
