Southlake Services is a full service landscaping, maintenance, and construction company out of Crown Point, IN. We service the Northwest Indiana (NWI) and Chicagoland areas. Spring through Fall months we mainly focus on exterior services consisting of: Landscaping installs, design, fertilizing, new construction, lawn maintenance, irrigation, lighting, hardscaping, erosion control, grading/sodding/seeding, concrete, drainage, and fence/deck installation. During the winter months we offer services for: Snow removal, salting, Christmas lighting/decorations, concrete, interior remodeling, bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, mulching, lot clearing, dormant seeding, and handyman work.

Christian and his team were incredible to work with! In trying to have the initial landscaping done for our new construction home, we spoke with 4-5 other landscaping companies before finding Southlake Services, and none of them seemed to genuinely listen. Christian was the complete opposite. He was engaging during our walkthrough, listened to what we were thinking and completely understood our view for the overall project, while also understanding that we would be completing it in sections. He offered up great design idea’s that we had not thought of, but ended up loving and going with. He worked with us to come in at the budget we needed to be at, and never tried to oversell us. The work they completed looks incredible as well, even though Mother Nature was not cooperative at the time. The final grade, buried downspouts, black mulch bed, irrigation and sod all impressed us! Thank you Christian, and the entire crew, for the fantastic work, and, more importantly, for the genuine honesty and integrity that you all conduct yourselves with throughout the process and business!! Had another great experience hiring this company for the second time. The crew was motivated, friendly, polite, and communicated with me during the entire process. They paid attention to the small details that I had not considered and made sure the project was not only to my liking but to their own standards as if it was their yard. I will definitely hire them again if needed. The grass you see past the pool is also their work!

I had this company (Southlake Services) aerate and overseed my lawn with great results. Before the first frost I was noticing all the new seeding coming in, and the customer serviced provided by Matt was fantastic. Will call on them for all future services needed.

Great service. Normally I cut my own grass but I ve been working a lot and haven t had the time do it. They ve been a lifesaver servicing my yard when I needed.
I contracted Southlake Services to remove metal fencing, brick columns and a retaining wall so that an aluminum fence could be installed. The job was completed within two days and looks fabulous! We needed excavating in our back yard, and when we left a message at Southlake Services, Matt returned our phone call and quickly followed up with a visit and quote. He kept in touch regularly with updates as we waited on 811 and as we waited on the weather to improve. Most importantly, he was honest during the whole process. His team showed up when they said they would and worked diligently the entire time until the project was completed the way that we had imagined it. The end result was exactly what we had in mind, and we re so grateful that they prioritized our needs and kept their word. It s unusual to find a business that is truly committed to serving the client to the degree that they did. Southlake team is wonderful to work with and their finished work speaks for itself! Matt and his team helped with drainage (downspout and sump pump) and irrigation system install. They also do my lawn maintenance and are my trusted partner for all things landscaping and outdoor services. From the start, I could tell they were at a different caliber. Southlake team are incredibly respectful of your property, treating it like theirs, and are a well-oiled machine, efficient and high quality. When I first moved in, I had a lot of drainage issues due to heavy rain and went with a different local company to bury my downspouts and sump pump. However, I continued to have issues with water pooling because the job was incorrectly done. I reached out to Southlake they were quick to respond and were at my home within a day to assess the situation. Soon after, I had a quote with detailed scope of work for installing a dry well. The price was fair and decided to move forward with the project. It was such a great experience that I reached out to them to re-do all the downspout drainage pipes. On the lawn care and maintenance side, Southlake team are installing a robust irrigation system. Ernesto is a pleasure to work with and is truly an expert in his trade. Matt and his team are also taking care of my lawn with weekly mowing and seasonal fertilization, soil aeration and over seeding. I can t wait to get that golf course level lawn! Having recently moved to NWI as a first time homeowner, it s been incredibly difficult to find great landscape providers and I m super grateful for Southlake, Matt and his team. They are compassionate and are not out to upsell or price gouge you. Their output truly speaks for itself and as a result, led me to engage them for more services. We worked with Matt on fixing our awful landscaping problem. All of them worked so hard fixing this mess by physical labor. No machines were used. We didnt feel any pressure from the company to choose them. Once it was started it was completed within two days. Thanks again for making our landscaping something worth showing off!

They took out the paver supports and replaced them with concrete. Put new sand on my pavers and put new mulch in my courtyard. They were great workers. The courtyard looks beautiful.

We had a difficult landscaping project that another service said was not really doable because of tree roots. The crew at Southlake Services did a wonderful job at a reasonable price. When I had questions, Chris responded to my emails promptly. The work they did transformed our yard. I would recommend this service without any reservations. Chris and his team were top notch professional start to finish. Very competitive pricing was outshined by the Superior Quality work and communication. I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am with the service I received from Southlake Services. The two professional gentlemen that came out to aerate my lawn were very polite, hard working and knowledgeable. They listened to my concerns and took great care of my lawn. There were some soft spots from mole tunnels they warned me about. I was not concerned with any possible damage, but appreciate their advising me ahead of time and as it happens, there was damage. These guys were top notch. Ill call on Southlake Service again without hesitation.

Hired Southlake for the first time this summer for weekly lawn care at our home (front yard, backyard, and easement maintenance). The initial response from the company when we first inquired about possibly hiring them was immediate. The crew is extremely professional and very friendly. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and expected during the initial visit. They do excellent work with the mowing, trimming, and edging, Also, very consistent with timing of the maintenance every week. I will definitely be using them next summer season and beyond.
Christian was awesome to work with, fair quote, due to the rainy spring, job was pushed back a few weeks, Christian stayed in touch bi weekly with updates. Any questions I had via text or phone were responded to that day. The work was good quality, had hard scape brick and edging along with seeding the whole back yard. Had grass within a week two weeks looked awesome, some areas needed reseeding which is expected. Yea would totally recommend Southlake.

Southlake Services did an amazing job on our yard! Christian the owner was super responsive and had his crew out there first thing Monday at 8am after we just spoke on Friday. They did a great job of fixing our grass and landscape issue and made everything look great! Would definitely recommend them for any services, they are awesome!

I am writing this review on behalf of my elderly parents. Christian at Southlake Services is an honorable man. He earns your business the old fashioned way, with integrity! His crew trimmed my parents bushes and did a beautiful job, very professional and cleaned up all the debris. My parents want to hire him for other lawn care services and with winter coming, snow removal services too. I recommend him and wish he served the Indianapolis area as we would hire him. He is great with seniors! He took the time to sit down with my dad who is a WWII vet and had a nice visit with him. Great guy!

We hired Southlake Services to address a water drainage issue on the side of our home, Christian and his team went above and beyond to come up with several solutions and executed them in a cost effective and timely manner, by not only re grading, burying the gutter downspouts, re locating the sprinkler system, paver edging and added new large river rock etc.. it looks amazing and best of all solved our water problem!! We cannot say enough good things and are already discussing our next project with them, in other words we HIGHLY RECOMMEND Southlake Services!!!
