Cummings Landscape in Crown Point

So impressed with the quality and professionalism Keith and his employees did on a small landscape job I had done! Highly recommend!!

We just bought a gorgeous Crimson Maple from them. Priced great. They are landscapers so have really great trees.

Have to give them 5 stars: Quality: We bought three superb, dense, October Glory trees. Price: very reasonable, much less expensive than Hubinger. Delivery: One week. Plus when planted, the workers cut off the top of the burlap, overlayed mulch. Excellent! And Josh assisted in selecting the best October Glory trees. I will be a repeat customer.

I wish I could give 0 Stars, but that wasn t an option. I purchased a tree with installation and Delivery. About 4 days later, they came unannounced and I wasn t home. They didn t even offer to reschedule and had no idea where to put the tree in my yard. I sent them a couple pictures so I could just get the tree installed. About an hour later, Keith called me and was extremely upset and completely unprofessional. Apparently after they started digging the hole, they realized there were thick tree roots below and were unable to plant the tree in that spot. He called me and was literally yelling at me about the situation. (How was I supposed to know). Long story short, They decided to plant the tree about 5 feet away from my original location, but left a huge hole in my yard. I asked if they could come back and re-sod the area where they dug, and he never called me back. Like many reviews here, this company is very unprofessional and I would not recommend.

Horrible service let s see if he will atleast honor his Warrenty Time line- add 3-6 weeks to anything they say Not professional- Keith will hang up on you Poor quality- their own worker that Keith sent out to look at my yard said it was done poorly and needed to be racked and reseeded. Not responsive- left messages to no return only way to get ahold of anyone is to call everyday but then Keith gets mad at you because you call everyday asking for a time line when he is already 3 weeks past the time line he gave you

Honestly if I could rate this business at 0 stars I would, but unfortunately that isn t an option. My husband and I purchased a brand new home in April 2020. Some landscaping had been done but with it being a new build home our front and backyard were just rocks and dirt. They promptly came and laid sod in the front yard and hydro seed in the backyard. They left a pile of rocks in the backyard for us to clean up as well as not completely racking the rocks so the hydro seed could grow properly (per his employee). After the grass started to grow in the backyard and us following instructions on when to weed and feed both the front and back, we noticed the backyard was patchy and not growing in full. We called and asked about the warranty, which we were told was one year. We also had one of their employees come and stake the tree in our front yard since it was falling over and while he was here he told us the backyard needed to be raked again, and re-seeded. Which is something we knew needed to be done due to the glass and rocks still in our backyard after they supposedly thoroughly raked it before hydroseeding. The employee told us that we would hear from them on when they could do that, but we never heard from them. Now, months later after leaving multiple voicemails and having made multiple phone calls that have not been returned we just got off the phone with Keith, whom yelled at my husband accusing us of not following instructions on lawn care, and then said we aren t taking your yard then hung up. I have never dealt with someone or a business so unprofessional before, as well as someone who screams and yells at you when you call to find out what is going on. Every timeline we have been given has been wrong. I called at the beginning of August and Keith told me he would send someone to our house within 10-14 days. Now the beginning of September, after my husband had to call back because Keith hung up on him, we were told another 10-14 days. I guess standing behind your work and the warranty you offer doesn t apply to Keith or his business as we feel like they are trying to get out of correcting the mistakes that have been made and won t be following through with the warranty like previously stated. We will see what happens in the next two weeks. EDIT: it s Nov 26, 2020 and the owner has not contacted us back nor done anything he said he was.

There is a man named mike at economy Inn Cedar Lake Indiana in a Cummins Landscaping truck that was drunk and possibly High threatening me where I had to leave my room. I am a worker that travels it is a inconvenient to be violently forced to leave my room at this time of night that is very unprofessional to have workers that are in such state of mine. so I shall leave this review to notify others about workers that is underneath the influence of alcohol and drugs.. if theyre doing that outside of work what do you think theyre doing at work. I deeply apologize i had to leave a review for everyone to see but you did not answer your phone call.

Nice selection of trees. Good service

DO NOT! Go to Cummings Landscape in Schererville! I repeat DO NOT GO THERE! I purchased a tree and paid extra for removal of a tree and delivery and planting of a new tree. After waiting a whole day of waiting with no call, the company finally showed up with NO tree and NO equipment to remove the old tree. Then the owner KEITH processed to SCREAM at my mom! (So much for my thoughtful Easter present to my mom)!

Cummings did my stone patio and we love it! They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the outcome. Great job and good customer service!

Cummings Landscaping performed excellent service for us! They completed our patio project faster than anticipated, and cheaper than anybody else. Keith takes pride in his work and isnt shy about throwing in a few extra plants at no extra cost to design a nicer looking landscape. Strongly recommend!

Nice trees, good price

Did a great job on our landscape project. Extremely satisfied. Front 2 big trees didnt survive, after a year with just one phone call they took care of those by replacing them with new ones. Very impressed with the quality of the work and the responsiveness to customer.
