Marty Mows has been mowing our lawn for 4 consecutive years. The office staff is always friendly and responsive to any questions. Our mowing crews are professional, considerate and reliable. Our lawn is mowed, bagged and edged every visit and we also have additional property mowed on rotation. My husband is also extremely pleased!
I asked a worker from Marty's Mows for a simple estimate for mulching on my property. He was doing a job moving stones 2 doors down from me in Bel Air, MD. He gave me a bunch of Marty's Mow's Business Cards and said to text my number to that number ( which I did ). In turn, he said would look at my property that night after his current job and he would give me an estimate asap. Well, I never heard back about an estimate and I am pretty sure you never even looked at my property. Next time, be honest with your customers and actually follow through with your promises.
Meticulous! Marty Mows of Crofton did my yard work and mulching for the Spring and now is cutting my lawn weekly. Very very pleased with their work. Highly recommend!
On Thursday Marty Mows finally came to plant our privacy trees. It was pretty chaotic and instead of the one day it was supposed to be, turned into two days, because the trees and roots are large (1,200 pounds each they told us) and since they brought no equipment, had to be moved off the truck by hand, and then rolled/placed into the holes they had dug (which were all dug by hand) all without any equipment. They cut our fios cable in two places - difficult for us because we work from home. And we're in the middle of a pandemic. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update: Well, it's been seven months, and we've still never heard a word. We hadn't paid them when we finally got so frustrated we sent the letter below - the non-payment got their attention. A week later the owner, Don Fletcher, came out, said he'd have their certified arborist come immediately to examine the trees and let us know how to take care of them properly. He left, telling us he wished all his angry customers were as nice as us. We were flattered, and ... I'm embarrassed to say ... gullible and trusting again. We paid the full price - just paid for the doubled charge, giving them the benefit of the doubt, deciding life is too short to carry a grudge. Of course no one ever came out. No arborist. No one ever called, emailed, nothing. Almost seven months later, nothing from them. To this day we have not had a single call, email, ho help or follow up whatsoever. You can see from the pictures that the trees are dying - one is already gone. We called a few weeks ago (my husband said drop it, give up, but I called anyway) to let them know one tree was dead and the rest are turning brown fast. The woman who answered the phone said "we'll be getting right back to you" about it. Of course they never did.
They do a great job of mowing the lawn and are very reliable. I have used Marty Mows for the past 10 years and a satisfied customer.

Just wanted to say THANKS to the two gentlemen that helped me on Friday morning, as I needed some unexpected assistance as a lost my keys in a dumpster. They were courteous, resourceful and able to retrieve my keys fairly quickly. While it’s not their typically task, they didn’t hesitate to help. And it was truly appreciated. Nice to know you have these guys working for your company.
2/28/2019 Congratulations on your response after 7 months. A decent business would apologize and blame one of their employees. As business owners, we would speak with the employee and apologize on behalf of them, since the client is always right. We do not just believe the employee and call the client a liar. Your lawn mowing company has been with us for several years, and we regret every year that you served us, and we paid you. We have no interest to lie about your business, except to tell the truth, so we thought we would benefit you by bringing to your attention that someone on your staff is mishandling your business. However, your response indicates that your business will decline because you are accusing your customer for several years of being a liar. If you don't apologize, we will take this to the next level. 7 months ago; Usually, I don’t like to post reviews. According to my knowledge, this is a family-run business, but due to the lack of communication, not answering my phone calls, the way they dumped the service, as well as the dishonesty, I was forced to post this and warn other people. First, I have never been so insulted by any business. Marty Mows stopped the service in my yard after 15 years of being a good client to them and paying the bills on a monthly basis. They refused to provide me any more services because they surreptitiously increased the price, and I asked them to reevaluate the increased price for a client that has been with them for such a long time. The wife of the president shot me a short email saying no more service would be applied to my yard and wished me “good luck” in finding another company. I left them a message, explaining that it is okay with me to pay the new fee, but I wanted to end the season because it is not right to leave your client in the middle of the season. Unfortunately, they didn’t respond or have the decency or courtesy of calling me to discuss or resolve the issue. My negative experience was incredibly disappointing! If you become a client of Marty Mows, make sure to expect the following: Horrible customer service, no apologies, no attempting to maintain a healthy business relationship, nothing useful but telling you how their inner policies work and asking you to find another company whenever it is faced with a problem they are too lazy to solve. I don’t recommend Marty Mows at all. No one deserves to be treated the way that I was by this unorganized and disrespectful business.
