Best of all, my husband and I didn t have the hassle to deal with any of the mess or stress of each process. When it came time to making design decisions Fernie provided even more white glove service! He would take us to his top recommended providers for materials, all of the highest quality that once again fit our budget. If one store wasn t up to our liking he always had another ace up his sleeve. He shared his resources with us freely and we benefited from many perks for just being his clients. He steered us away many a time from design decisions that would have been catastrophic! Truly his eye for design is remarkable and very on point with the latest trends and newest products on the market. In many instances, he actually saved us money by sharing insider tips and tricks from the industry that any other person would have kept to themselves to make an extra buck or two. From start to finish, Fernie was truly selfless in guiding our decisions. He went above and beyond in every step of the way, provided the five star white glove service that other companies only reserve for their highest grossing projects but in Fernie s case is standard for all his clients! Today, my husband s and my dream backyard is a reality thanks to Fernie. And the true reason why I m so grateful is not because of the impeccable service detailed above, but because thanks to Fernie my husband and I (and our dog) get to experience unspeakable joy, relaxation, and fun as a family in our new backyard. That feeling and the memories we are creating are priceless and in all honesty it would have never happened without Fernie and Yard Rescue.

This has been one of the hardest reviews to write because it feels impossible to accurately put into words how blessed we are to have worked with Fernie. My husband and I had a small, completely dilapidated space for a backyard that was unusable. We neglected it after being burned by typical Miami contractors and handymen who promised lower prices but it was all at the expense of quality. We thought about improving the space many times in the past and had called different contractors but it was always the same deal: people who listened to what I wanted and very coldly gave me pricing with a take it or leave it attitude, after all, I was one more in the bunch; a small backyard that wasn t really worth their time. It was discouraging and embarrassing. So, time passed and we never felt compelled to move forward with anyone. Fast forward February of this year when I see an instagram friend s stories documenting the renovations in her backyard. I loved seeing the transformation process and of course had backyard envy (the good kind). I followed her stories for a month before I decided that I also wanted an outdoor space worthy of instagram envy. I messaged Fernie and he answered me promptly so within two days we set a date for a free estimate. The blessings started from the start. He was extremely personable and after examining the space he began talking with me, asking about my vision. I could tell he wanted to understand how I wanted to use my backyard and for what purposes so that he could design a space that was not only beautiful but practical. Ideas that I had previously shared with other contractors Fernie either explained why it would work or not (elevations/slope/drainage) and he opened my mind to endless possibilities! I saw his excitement over the potential of the space and I dared to dream. While I was nervous and hesitant about taking on the renovation, he was extremely respectful of my budget and timeline. Within a week Fernie had tapped into his pool of vast resources bringing to our house the electrician, air conditioning company, landscapers, fencing , painting, tile subcontractors, etc to provide estimates. Through the planning stage Fernie was thorough and answered all my questions and eased any fears or worries I had (I have PTSD from past experiences with Miami contractors). One of the many qualities we love about Fernie is that he was never pushy or overbearing. Once my husband and I were ready to commit, work started immediately. He outlined the timeline and order in which work had to happen and we confirmed the scope of work. I felt so at ease seeing his professionalism and thoroughness and more importantly he was keeping his word every step of the way. I really loved that he managed my expectations and over communicated so that my husband and I always knew what was happening. His honesty and transparency is what cements the trust his clients have in him. Not only that, but every person/company Fernie brought to work on my house was of the highest quality. Not only is Fernie extremely knowledgeable about his craft (laws/codes/best practices) but so are the subcontractors he works with. I was always left feeling that Fernie has access to Miami s best of the best. He always had two or three choices of vendors at different prices points/availabilities to accommodate my budget and vision. Something else that really set Fernie apart is the level of attention he provided to this project. He was always communicating when the sub contractors were arriving, how long the job would take, etc. He would always meet them before they started the job and was constantly checking in with them to ensure the quality was up to his standards. Fernie s eye for detail and his pickiness was even greater than mine. He really treated this project as if it was for his own home. My husband and I both work full time jobs so many times we were not present when work was taking place and knowing Fernie was there made the entire experience easy and stress free. There is a lot of competition in the grass game but dont waist your time calling other companies. Fernando did a great job and we are already planning the next job at another hone I own.
