D&R Sprinkler & Landscape in Coppell

Johny and concho were very professional. They had the job done in no time and I m very happy with the results of the line replacement.

D&R came out to fix irrigation that another contractor didnt finish. Walked through what I needed and advised them of internet cable area and that prior contractors had cut line. Irrigation work they did was great except, they cut the fiberoptic internet line. Called Frontier and they said it would be 5 days before they could even come out and look at it. Did not hear from D&R so I emailed them asking if his team told him they cut the internet line and that this was a big issue because me and the wife work from home by using internet. He said yes and advised to have Frontier bury the line deeper. I agreed it was shallow but that it was his responsibility to call 811 call before you dig which he did NOT do. With no other response they sent a full price invoice. My losses from missed work production and having to get other internet were more than their total invoice. So after not hearing from them for 9 days I paid half the bill (which I shouldnt have done until I knew what Frontier was going to do) and told him my losses were more than his total invoice. I advised if he wanted to discuss please call me. He emailed back that would work and then went on to blame the 811 Call before you dig company USIC. His quote from his email was I feel like the fiber companies have a conspiracy against irrigators and hope well cut them so they can make more money. Then 10 days later Frontier sends a 300.00 bill for repair of the line. I sent the bill and they said we already gave 750.00 for that you can keep the rest. No, you partially recouped my losses as my email stated. I did not even know Frontier was going to bill because they didnt the other times it was cut, and found out that was because the other companies called the 811 call before you dig line and the yard was marked. So after all this D&R response was Moving forward please only reach out to our attorney. Just so you know, basically they do good work but if there is an problem.......be warned. RESPONSE TO REPLY FROM D&R: Get your big boy panties on and get over it I would expect nothing less than you being insulting to a review. I even said the work done was great except how you, the owner handled the cutting of the internet cable. And as far as you saying I shorted the bill, I have in email that you agreed to what I paid due to my losses of your company cutting my internet and my lost productivity. Perfect example of what my review states. I will make sure I share your response.

D & R landscaping just installed foundation drip line and performed sprinkler health check. They were quick, respectful of the property, walked me through their plan of work and answered all my questions. I will plan to use them on my future projects.

We are doing some backyard renovations for a new patio and had to remove sprinklers that had been installed by D&R back in 2017. The technicians came on the scheduled date & time and found the best way to do the work while minimizing the cost. One of the technicians, Zach, talked me through his whole process so I understood it. They were able to do the work right then and there and I was able to test it to make sure it all worked correctly. In addition, when they had to shut off the water to the irrigation system, they found that the backflow preventor had a slow on-going leak. David, one of the owners, got on the line with me to brief me on the options on replacing/repairing that unit. He had the technicians work to identify where exactly the leak was so the option to repair versus just replacing (a much higher cost) were thoroughly considered. D&R is truly an honest and deligent company. Thanks to David and Zach for the work done today!

I do most of my own basic irrigation work, but Ive had D&R / North Texas Sprinkler come out and do two more complex jobs (one electrical, one (major) in the irrigation plumbing) - theyve done both swiftly, at a very reasonable rate, with great communication, and have resolved the issues completely, 100% correct, first time. They are my absolute recommendation for professional sprinkler & irrigation work in the north DFW area.

I ve used D&R several times and they are always responsive and take care of everything that is needed. I do find the cost of their repairs to be on the high side , but I haven t had any problems with the work they ve performed.

Asked for a quote for repair of a leaking shutoff valve in the front yard. Sent photos as requested so that they could determine if it was something they could fix. I guess they couldnt. Its been over a week and Ive heard nothing.

During the Christmas / New Years holidays, we had a small job that required extension of our existing system. They arrived same day, provided a quote, did the job in about 1 hour and fixed what was needed, things we couldnt have known about, but needed repair. On time, On budget, problems taken care of. I was pleased to learn they do landscaping, planting, and stone projects, too. I look forward to meeting David and creating a new flagstone project next week. We used D&R to do the initial install of our sprinkler system in the winter of 2019. I can say that overall I have been very happy with the experience. The price came in where we wanted it to be after doing a lot of research and looking at different vendors. The quality of the parts chosen were what I wanted with Rainbird heads and a Rachio controller. The install crew were very respectful and the work foreman for the crew was responsive and respectful to two time I engaged with him about the project. After the install we had an internet provider do an install for a backhaul on our street and damaged the system. D&R were very responsive and covered the minimal damage under warranty and worked with the provider to make sure no further damage would occur to our system. David has been responsive via phone or text when I have tried to contact him with courteous and helpful information.

Their work was really done quickly,efficiently, courteously & I highly recommend this company & their personnel.

Since moving into our home, David and his team have led us through several projects: a complete landscape design and installation in the front yard, upgraded irrigation controls (including an ap we can operate from our phones), lighting installation in the front and back yards, new sod, drainage repair and a flagstone patio and hammock installation in the backyard. David and his team are knowledgeable and reliable. Throughout the course of our projects, the team was excellent at troubleshooting any issues that would arise while always keeping the lines of communication open. Great service and communication! Knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Had them fix a couple broken sprinklers and a few other little things. They checked all sprinklers with a full diagnosis afterwards. Very happy with this company.

Very next day after I left town for 2 weeks, My postman(Lady) called me to let me know my yard is flooded with water. Called my neighbor to check on sprinkler and found one of the zone wasnt able turned off as they should. I contacted D&R in the evening of Sunday, they were out there next morning got it all taking care of even it was complicated situation.( The valve we needed to fix was buried under concrete.) And also they were able to work with me on charges to my satisfaction. This company was referred to me by my neighbors. And I give D&R two thumbs up.

We were preparing to put our house on the market and our landscaping need a refresh and the jungle tamed. They were prompt and friendly. David is very knowledge and made great recommendations to save me money while creating a beautiful landscape. They use high quality plants and they are all thriving well. The landscape is (was) one of favorite things about the house. They also took on our weekly maintenance to keep the yard looking great also. Scheduling was a bit difficult because it was a very busy time, David kept me informed and showed up to do the work as promised.

David and his crew knocked it out of the park with my flower bed makeover project. His crew removed all of our overgrown and diseased shrubs, reshaped the beds, removed the rock border and updated them to the mounded style and added some decorative boulders. Landscape lighting was also installed to accent the house and the flower beds. David was patient as the project evolved and allowed us to be very hands on in selecting the rocks and plants. Looking forward to having D&R install sod this spring to complete our much needed yard makeover. HIGHLY recommend D&R!!!!

I am a new home owner. My controller unit will not trigger my sprinklers, and when I manually opened a control valve on front yard, it sprung a leak. I called D&R as well as another company highly regarded in Angies. But the other company quoted me too much money, and was trying to rip me off and they said they were famous! David on the other hand came highly recommended by my friends in Coppell, and had high reviews everywhere. From day one, he was super friendly, and responded immediately to me, and he also texted back promptly and he put me at ease. Very strong work ethics. Eddie and Concho showed up today morning, and it was a very cold day, but they immediately sprung into action and worked so fast and so efficiently, it was a breeze to watch them both and learn. Ed then explained to me the problems and fixed them super fast. They charge by the hour and extra charge for parts (very reasonable). very affordable and nominal. They rebuilt a solenoid control valve, fixed a leaking pipe with a coupler, and replaced a damaged sprinkler head, and connected wires properly on controller and troubleshooted my controllers remote and showed me the flaws in my inspection report. I am so thankful for D&R Irrigation. I will definitely call them for all my needs, it seems they also do landscaping. Great Company David. Excellent staff. Keep up the good work D&R

David responded quickly to my call for some sprinkler head repairs and general tuneup. His team came out and got everything in working order. This led us to discuss replacing some 30 year old shrubs and an update to our landscaping. David provided a thorough quote at a fair price. He was easy to work with and had great suggestions that complemented our ideas. His team was quick, efficient and professional. We are extremely happy with the results which have been complimented by our friends and neighbors.

Our yard was a mess. After rain we had a lot of standing water. The soil was so compact even weeds did not grow in places and the grass we had left was thin. We also had overgrown trees and shrubs and the brick around the flower beds was uneven and falling apart. David gave us options to address the drainage issue by re-working the soil and adding a French drain. I know nothing about landscaping so he also came up with a plan to completely tear out the old brick around the flowerbeds and all the old overgrown shrubs. They put in a very nice stone border, big rocks and all new plants. When everything was done they also rehabilitated my sprinkler system. Throughout the process it was clear these guys took a lot of pride in their work. The result was a fantastic looking yard and a long term fix for drainage. We could not be happier! David and his crew were a pleasure to work with.

David & this company were a breath of fresh air. Not only quick, dependable, and efficient; David tried trouble shooting over the phone with me first. D&R Irrigation & Lighting did a great job for us including planting flowers, mowing, edging, and put in a new sprinkler system control board and repaired and replaced several bad sprinkler heads. David and his crew were always there when they said they would be and worked hard to make sure we were happy when everything was done. I have recommended them to family and friends and will continue to. Great job D&R!!

Davids team cam out and did excellent work for us this spring. We loved the plants he chose and the quality of work they did. More than that though, a couple of months after they came out, I discovered a broken water line for my sprinklers in one of the beds they worked on. It looked line it was probably hit by something while they were out, but those lined sometimes burst and fail on their own. I spoke to David about it, and he sent two of his guys out to fix it that same week, free of charge. It might have been caused by his guys, but it might not have. David was a stand-up guy about it though and took care of us. Its not easy to find people you can trust and rely on in this business, Im glad I found a reliable company in D&R.

I first used D&R just for mowing at my primary residence in Coppell. They were diligent and affordable, so we expanded to seasonal color in front and landscaping around the pool. Then tree trimming, and so on. When I moved to downtown Dallas, the family who leased my home continued using the guys, which made it easy for me cuz I knew I could trust them to fix a sprinkler head or maintain the shrubs without me having to check on the place all the time. Upon my return to Coppell to live with my GF in her home, I switched her to D&R because the service she was using sucked! David & his crew were so attentive--her yard was typical of a working single Mom and needed TLC beyond the weekly mow. D&R raked acorns (2 Huge Oaks dropping them like a carpet),replaced the patchy lawn with St Augustine which grew better in the shade, and did an affordable yet beautiful landscaping job when we were preparing the house for sale. She had 8 offers over list the first day on the market, and a few of the buyers went out of their way to mention the yard was a big plus. I STRONGLY recommend D&R if you are looking for a great full-service lawn care company!

Have to give them 5 stars. I had an irrigation system installed in the backyard which was an add on to an existing job but was complicated by the fact that I had to add some additional switches as I was adding several more zones. They did a great job and were extremely easy to work with. Gave me a very fair quote for the work involved. I would highly recommend them. They got right on the job within a few days. The quality of the work was excellent. They followed back up with me after the job was complete to ensure it was satisfactory and went over everything with me. Had no problems at all and I would have no reservations in hiring them again.

These guys basically did a total redo of my sprinkler system. They figured out the problem, worked hard, and did a great job fixing it all. I would highly recommend them.

Great Experience working with D&R, from bid to completion. David did a great job listening to what we wanted, and worked with our budget. He follows up to make sure the job is complete. When the city didnt take what they were supposed to he had to make numerous calls, and stayed on the situation until it was resolved. D&R will be the first we call for the next project.

Needed a 1st-time sprinkler repair. D&R came up and the Reviews convinced me to try them. They are spot-on. David took my call and said he could have a crew out, same day. Kevin arrived very timely. Explained the problem and he repaired the broken line, including a small mod to ensure flexibility that would keep it from breaking again should the head be suppressed. REALLY a very professional, knowledgeable and nice guy and a pleasure to work with. Cost was extremely fair and reasonable. D&R will be the company we call in the future and we highly recommend them.

We have used D&R Landscape for many years for all of our landscape needs around the house (i.e. mowing, tree trimming, irrigation, bed landscaping). They are prompt, professional, consistent, and competitively priced. But most importantly, they listen to our wants and needs (I have a very picky husband) and provide custom/personal service. I would highly recommend this company. On a personal note, I also love that they are a local Coppell business (with the owner raised in the community), giving me a chance to promote the local city economy.

We first hired D&R for some irrigation work. We needed to add some sprinkler zones and update our equipment. David proved to be very knowledgeable and experienced about irrigation (dont let his youthful looks throw you off). He worked through all of our issues in addition to adding the zones. He was able to optimize our coverage as well. We then asked him to bid on a fairly large landscaping project to transform much of our front yard to a smart scape environment. His bid was very competitive but that wasnt the only reason we went with him. I knew he would be easy to work with and let me be involved as much (or little) as I wanted. He and his crew were great! They worked long, hot hours to make sure they delivered on our expectations, but they surpassed them. Our yard looks truly wonderful! We get a lot of people stopping to comment on it and ask who did it. We highly recommend D&R and will continue to use their services.

I had a 15+ year old sprinkler system that was poorly installed and not working properly. It was the sprinkler system from hell!!! We would fix one zone and then another would go out... for 8 out of 9 zones. David was a genius in the way he troubleshot the situation and helped repair my system without having to do a complete replacement. He saved me thousands of dollars! I LOVE that David is a local guy from Coppell who does it right... hard work and great service.

I use D&R for tree removal, trimming, and replacement. They also do my flower beds and chemical treatments on my lawn. I have been very pleased with all of their work and pricing. I totally trust them to work around my home when I am not there.

We hired D&R to install landscaping (flower/plant beds and a new tree, including landscape lighting) in our front yard, as well as do a new whole-yard irrigation install. David was very knowledgeable, and the entire crew was hard-working and professional. They completed the install in a timely manner and did a great job of clean up, and we couldnt be happier with the finished product. We really appreciated that David allowed us to be as involved as we wanted to be. He gave us some great ideas to start out with (which was helpful since we didnt have much landscaping experience) and answered a lot of our questions on which plants would work best. He fulfilled any specific requests that we had (mostly for specific plants), but we also gave him latitude/creative freedom in some areas (mostly layout/placement of plants) and we are very happy with what he and the team designed. The plant beds and tree look great and the landscape lighting is a really nice finishing touch. At the end of the process they gave us a walk-through on operation of the sprinkler system--it ran well and looks like it will be easy to operate. Overall, they are great to work with--very professional and produce a great finished product.
