The Lawn Company in Conroe

We have been a customer of The Lawn Co. for a while and had never had any problems with them. However, in February, while my husband was still working from home, they hit one of our large plate glass windows with a rock that resulted in a chip that then spidered across the entire window. My husband contacted them regarding the window on 2/10/21 and they apologized and asked for pics of the damage which we sent. On 3/8, my husband reached out again since we had heard nothing. After taking a while to get back to us, Jake (the owner at the time) sent out a glass guy to get a quote regarding window replacement in late March. After he came and determined that the damage was a lot more than expected due to the window size, we heard nothing back. My husband again followed up on April 19 to see what the status of the repairs was. On April 27, we received an email stating that “their co-workers showed them the pictures they took of the window and it looks like the crack comes from the inside.” and that they would not be fixing the damage. Pictures and the glass guy that THEY SENT clearly show the damage was done from outside. To muddy the waters, apparently this company was sold in the midst of this process between the time we reported the initial damage to the time they denied liability and stated they would not pay for the repairs so we were originally talking to someone who was possibly trying to take care of it but the new owners don’t seem to be so inclined. At this point, we were left with a $750 bill to replace the window they broke and are now refusing to fix. We have obviously dropped them as a lawn service effective immediately and will apparently have to take them to small claims court to attempt to get our money for the window back. I am posting this review for two reasons: 1. I still have hopes that they will see this and choose to do the right thing and pay for the damage caused so we can all avoid court. 2. To warn all looking for a lawn service that this happened to us after we specifically chose a lawn company that was established and insured for this exact reason and it still backfired on us. Beware when choosing this lawn company.

Jake and The Lawn Company have been taking care of my yard for a couple of years now. They do a great job and I would highly recommend them for all of your lawn needs.
