Matt and his crew were amazing. They came in, took out all the awful plants, put in new plants and cleaned up afterwards. So easy to work with and reasonably priced.

Had Matt do some landscaping and drainage at our new home. Matt agreed to refund some money because I had to finish/correct some stone work that was done incorrectly, and then he went back on his word. It seems to be Matts standard operating procedure to collect the money and then ghost you, not return phone calls, not reply to any emails, etc. I trusted Matt. Matt is not a man of his word. Lesson learned. Dont use Matt or if you do Do Not Pay him until the job is completed and completed correctly.

I hired Matt to fix draining issues in back patio as well as building part of a retaining wall. The drains he installed are not leveled so they dont work well and water puddles in them so now I have more mosquitoes. My back patio is still a mud pit. When I asked them to come by and check it out he said he would but never came and I havent heard back since. This wasnt the first time he stood us up without a warning either. As far as the retaining wall, my 80 year old grandma wouldve built an equal quality wall as they did. I asked them to build about a quarter of the wall but after I saw them working on it decided to finish it myself. I paid about 20% of what they charged me to build the rest. Bottom line, SUPER expensive, poor quality work, poor quality customer service. Look elsewhere.

Riverside Lawn & Landscaping tore out the overgrown shrubs in my front yard and created a beautiful new landscape. They also installed pavers on my back patio that looks so much better than the concrete under it. Very dependable company. I needed a root barrier installed, so I called Matt at Riverside Landsaping to install it for me. They did great work for me 2 yrs. ago and they did a great job. They also fixed a leak from sprinkler system & reset sidewalk. Great job and affordable!!

We had Matt install pavers in our backyard. The quality of the work performed was way below expectations. Called him several times to replace a broken paver that his workers installed but he kept givign false promises. Also the gravel he installed is perhaps the worst work anybody could do. Called up him many a times and left him several messages but no response till date. He charged us alot for a bad piece of work with zero professionalism

Very dependable, professional and fairly priced. I have been through 3 landscapers and ultimately part ways for lack of dependability. Matt and his crew have proved so far to be dependable and reliable.

They did a GREAT job for my Mom who needed a swale drainage system, due to severe mold in her home, caused by poor drainage over 4 yrs. They were courteous, professional, punctual, and the entire crew was very kind and considerate. I highly recommend them.

Matt was very responsive and accessible. He has a lot of plant knowledge and helped us plan our garden beds. The whole staff is very friendly and nice to work with!

I think people need to be warned about this man s business practices. Yesterday we woke to chainsaws in our backyard. This man had instructed his workers to hop the back fence into our property without any consent to come cut large branches off our trees. We did not hire him or give him any permission to do this. We did not even meet him until after his team had cut at least 6 branches (that we know of) right at the trunk of our tree. He insists they were hanging over into the neighbor s yard who hired him. The tree is 15 feet from the back fence property line! He had no right to take our entire branches! We looked back at photos of our yard before he struck and the branches were not even hanging over. He had no problem trespassing and illegally cutting our branches as long as he was paid to do so. Be careful if you consider him for your landscaping services because he clearly pays no attention to the law. He knew what he did wasn t legal too because he refused to give us his name when we confronted him about his actions. As an added bonus his team crushed our smaller plants with the large branches they cut down and there are gouge holes climbing up the tree from whatever shoes they wore to climb the tree.

Amazing profesional service

I chose Matt to work with based on his glowing Google reviews. I have to say Im a bit perplexed by the difference in my experience and his other clients that were so happy with their experience. I met with Matt and we did a thorough walkthrough of our property and what we would like to have done when he came out to do the estimate. It was a fairly small scale project. We added a flower bed, re-mulched, replaced some plants and added gravel. Matt told me that it had been very wet so they would get to our project as weather permitted which we were fine with. I also confirmed that they planned to use some type of ground cover on our grass when hauling gravel into the back yard and for foot traffic to avoid damaging our grass. He said they would. A couple of days later I got a call from our house cleaner telling me that there were strange men in our yard and she was very startled. I called Matt and come to find out they had started the project even in wet conditions. They did not use any type of ground cover and the grass was badly damaged. Matt didnt call me that day to confirm any of the plans we had discussed so I assumed that he had completed everything on our project list. When I got home that day there was a lot of things that werent completed. A lot! I called Matt and they came back out a second time to finish the work. However, when I got home after their second visit the work still wasnt finished. I then made a list of things that werent done, which was still quite a lot, and when he came back out I asked him if he would like the list. It seemed obvious to me that he had not made notes on anything we had talked about. When I questioned about why things werent done he would say I couldnt remember what we discussed or I wasnt sure. Lastly, when 99% of the work had been done and I had gone in late to work on more than three occasions to meet with him he had said he would be back to install a lattice system of some kind for vining plants he planted along our back fence. I texted him several days later because they had not completed the work and he said he would do it for $150. Needless to say I was upset. We had already paid him a lot of money and this was lattice was in the original plan we discussed so shouldnt have cost extra. We also used his lawn service for several months and were never pleased with the quality of their work either. We cancelled. In summary, I do not recommend Matt for landscaping work or lawn services.

Matt at Riverside is great. Good designs, good prices and prompt service. Can t recommend him enough.

We were having flooding problems in our backyard. We hired this company to fix the problem. We do not have the problem any more.

Great, reliable service

We had 3 trees that Riverside provided and planted in Spring of 2018. All were planted with 50 feet of each other in the same soil and cared for professionally continuously. One of the trees (the one in the middle) began looking bad and the center palm fronds began rotting within the 6 month warranty period. There had been no freezes. We called Matt to come take a look and when he inspected it, were told we should keep an eye on it. The tree did not survive and since we were now outside the warranty, Riverside provided a written quote for $375 for a 45 gal replacement. We agreed to the cost. The first tree they brought out in March 2019 was a 30 gal (not 45 as was on the quote). We refused the tree. They brought the second tree (45 gal as requested) and installed within a couple of weeks. When the invoice was presented it was $525. Matt said he made a mistake on the quote and would not hold to his quote. We have spent well over 10K with this company over the past 3 years and recommended them to a number of our friends who have also utilized their service. Our loyalty and referrals were not important enough for the the company to stand behind their quote and eat their own mistake (if it was one). We gave them the opportunity to make the situation right to no avail. Disappointed ...

Riverside has done maintenance, landscaping, and irrigation work for our small homeowners association as well as for our family. They do great work at a reasonable price and are easy to work with. Highly recommend for special projects or regular maintenance.

Riverside did all work on time even though it was raining.

I walked the yard with Matt twice, thoroughly explaining what needed,to be done. There were 3 jobs. None were done right. The first was a drainage system. Matt did not add all the drains needed and discussed. So drainage was not sufficient in all areas. Next was a sprinkler system. He missed a couple of places in the planter bed, so there is incomplete watering. Third was grading. This job was done poorly and incompletely. After repeated requests for him to finish the job properly, he never showed. I had to fix all the above jobs myself at a significant cost in dollars and time. Also, his workers were careless and messy. They broke a septic line and an invisible dog fence in several places. Matt was not inexpensive and did not do good or complete work. Nor did he do all that he had promised. I do not recommend him!

I have used them twice for drainage projects. They did a good job and I ll be using them again for a couple of other projects.

Great work at a great price. They took care of chronic drainage issues with our backyard. Water used to back up and pool. Now it drains within 15 minutes after a downpour. Thanks again for your good work!

Matt and his crew removed my Bermuda grass, spread a thin layer of rich topsoil and then placed the strips of Palmetto St Augustine covering the entire yard. This is the 4th or 5th week and it is rooting well. In Texas July is not the ideal time to redo a yard because it is so hot, but I have a sprinkler system and was able to keep it damp so it wouldn t burn up. I am very pleased with their work.

Good overall work on installing drainage system for our backyard and water removal from the gutter system. It has solved the drainage issue we have had for a number of years. Good value for the price.

Great job landscaping my back yard, and putting in new sod. Matt checks on the sod to see how it is doing and advises how to care for it, which is a big help for me. Looking forward to finishing the rest of the yard work.

I would recommend Riverside Lawn & Landscaping to anyone considering a landscaping project. Matt was easily accessible and his crews did an excellent job with our drainage and laying the travertine patio.

I had a new pool installed and needed help with drainage and some sprucing up of existing landscaping. Matt responded right away and came out the next day to look at yard, take measurements and give estimate. He and his workers were able to come out soon after to install drains, and add landscaping. They worked swiftly and professionally and finished the drains within an hour! They left the yard clean and added grass to cover drains and bare spots left by the pool install. Matt chose some nice plants to brighten the garden, provided granite gravel around my pool equipment and laid flagstone pathway from my driveway to the pool. Cost was reasonable. I very much enjoyed working with Matt and his employees.

Riverside came in and did a fall cleanup and facelift of my yard. Everything was refreshed with new mulch and borders. Drainage issues from flooding was restored or redone. Everything looks fresh. There are plans for a Flagstone patio and new grass when weather permits. Professional and orderly. They left everything clean. Thanks.
