I have used Pine Valley Turf for care of my lawn in Charlotte for the past several years and have nothing but high compliments for their service. My yard was infected with difficult Virginia Buttonweed, but the Pine Valley technicians have managed it well, greatly reducing it. Ive also been pleased with the monthly care and annual re-seeding in the fall. This years drought severely damaged many yards, but I am confident that they will continue to manage mine as needed.

Overall I have been satisfied with their performance, however I would have expected a better job treating weeds. We have a variety of them including many oak tree seedlings.

The last couple of years the seeding and aeration service has not done well in the areas most needed, the front yard looks great but the right side of the driveway dies off quickly and the backyard is pretty terrible, the moss has taken over and there are random clumps of grass here and there

We had a problem where our lawn went from beautiful green field to a patch of brown straw in a less than a week. I called Tim, he came over the next morning and immediately identified the problem as an infestation of army worms that came in during the hurricane storm we had the previous week. Tim immediately applied the correct chemical to eliminate the past. Tim also took care of my neighbor s lawn that had the same problem. Although I ve only worked with Tim for a couple months now, with his knowledge and his prompt service I know I m going to stick with him for a long time to come.

Always easy to get a hold of and answer questions I have about service or my lawn. I started with these guys after a year of spending almost as much to do the work myself and getting mediocre to miserable results. So much better having the professionals do it--for about the same price I was spending at the home store.

Lawn team is generally helpful but you should be ready to talk to them to make sure theyre doing what you need/expect. They tend to throw seeds into my beds when they seed in the fall and I get a ton of grass in areas I shouldnt have grass. Just be ready to pull some grass each year I suppose. The tree and shrub treatment is usually great but they did spray in high heat once that scorched and diminished my plants. They came out shortly after discovery and explained what happened, stopped using the product, apologized, and will keep in touch to make sure the plants that didnt tolerate the spray recover.

The phone customer service is less than ideal.

I waited for months for a follow-up from Drew on something he said they could fix. Even waited on the area to dry out and waited on being scheduled. I contacted him at least twice, but still no response. Very unprofessional.

We had Matt and his guys out to aerate, overseed and fertilize a property for us. Very quick with the scheduling and the guys were on time. Grass came in quickly. Look forward to continuing to use them on this property in the future for our turfgrass needs.

I recently called Pine Valley Turf to get an update on a quote that they had previously given me. I was told at that time that I would soon receive an email with an updated proposal. I waited several days and called back to follow up on my request. During my first followup call, I was told that this was Pine Valleys busy season and that the person that I needed to talk to would be out for a couple more days. I asked them that if they were too busy I would just call someone else. The person that I talked to insisted that they wanted my business and that a proposal would be coming in a couple more days. After 10 more days of waiting, I called back again to check on the proposal and I was again told that this was Pine Valleys busy season and they would get back to me soon. In total, I waited about 3 weeks for an answer that never came. At this point I felt disappointed and misled. I would have appreciated if Pine Valley told me to find someone else instead of having me wait for an answer for 3 weeks... an answer that never came. You may be thinking ... Why did I wait so long for an answer? Why not move on to someone else? Heres why ... I supported Pine Valley for a total of 15 years at 2 different locations. I tried to be empathetic and initially overlooked their lack of professionalism and regard for a returning customer. Shame on me for being so patient and giving Pine Valley another chance. Save yourself time and frustration and call a company who values its customers.

I was fortunate enough to be able to pass this company during the 2020 spring and garden show and stopped to talk to them. They had alot of great information and were very knowledgeable. I decided to have them come give me a free quote. I decided to use there services and it was a very easy decision. You cant go wrong with a fantastic company like this. Thanks

Damaged a patio when they aerated yard. I was told no problem they would repair. Been almost a year and no repair has been made. Untill this happened I was pretty well satisfied That`s ok if they don`t want my money, I`m sure another company will. Ethics count in my book.

I called Pine Valley Turf and the customer service was awesome! They showed up the day after I called and educated me on what it would take to fix my lawn. It has never looked better!

The most irresponsible company ever! Unfortunately the HOA of my neighborhood contract them for the yard service, the crew damage my property more than a year ago. At this point they haven t repair the damage.

We called Pine Valley for a quote to renovate our landscaping. Andrew came out the next day and gave us a very competitive quote and great suggestions. He was very knowledgeable. They completed the job in a timely manner and we couldn t be happier with our new landscaping! Thanks Pine Valley!

Pine Valley was contracted through our HOA and ran over a sprinkler head in our front yard mowing. Instead of taking responsibility they tried to place the blame on a fencing contractor who installed a fence in the back yard. Their marketing person said they would make it right by reimbursing part of my astronomical water bill caused by the leak on the sprinkler head. When I followed up with them regarding the reimbursement Ive gotten no response. This has been going on since summer of 2018. Wouldnt recommend based purely on the customer service we received.

Thank goodness we called Pine Valley last fall. Matt came out and talked us into their Bluegrass suppression program since we ve always had a problem with it. Now my yard looks great while some of my neighbors are struggling with it. Thanks Pine Valley!

Miscomunacation on the work that needed to be done paid for half of the service, spoke with Drew because they were going to to the wrong thing thought we had it worked out got back home the bed that they made is to big and on my property line ( brim) didnt get anything done to it so there is no flow to the shrubs that were planted and the bed that was made. Be careful because once you pay your money there is no follow up communication, weather your pleased or not there is no further review of what was done. I get this a lot with companies now a days they want a check, and charge to much for work that is sloppy done. Want be using this company again. And yes I wish I had used someone esle to. But for sure next time I will review and inspect any work that is done on my property and I did not ask Drew to go across property lines that was my property in between two stakes. But I will be sure not pay someone for work until its done and to my liking weather you stand by your work or not.

I have been using Pine Valley Turf for about 4 years now and could not be happier. They take care of everything in my yard and it always looks top notch. If I need something special done it is as easy as a quick call to the office and they always get me scheduled in right away. I have worked with Pine Valley for 5+ years. I have been beyond impressed with their attention to detail, the customer service and staff. David Miller is also a true artist with it comes to landscape design. He came out and gave me a very detailed design plan and I could not be more thrilled with the final product. He is VERY knowledgeable about what plants will work with my yard and climate. I would recommend Pine Valley to anyone wanting to take their yard from good to AMAZING. I am currently about to start an intense process to eliminate Bermuda grass in my yard. David has been very honest and upfront about the process. I hired PVT&M to clear and beautify an area of my property that had been overgrown. I got several estimates for the job and chose Pine Valley not only because their price was competitive, but I appreciated the ongoing oversight and attention to detail that they offered once they got the job. The workers were phenomenal and the managers dropped in periodically each day throughout the several days it took to complete the job making sure that I was happy and that the job was being done according to specification. They explained the process, reminded me a few times that a beautiful lawn doesnt come overnight, and have been responsive to questions and offered great advice. Im battling water runoff from 3 houses up, rock hard soil, and years of weed neglect. I appreciate the knowledge theyve shared and look forward to continuing a long term partnership in my yard.

I have used Pine Valley s full service lawn care for ~10 years and lawn has always looked outstanding. Recently moved and the yard was in the worst shape possible - PV in a matter of months turned it around quickly and is one of the best lawns in the neighborhood. I get asked multiple times a week who takes care of my lawn and I refer them to Pine Valley.

Took all my information and took forever to respond. Keep on saying they have sent me an estimate but I never received one. Glad I did not sign up

This lawncate service is horrible! Our lawn has never looked so bad, unfortunately we paid the contract in full or we would have fired them a long time ago. Cant wait for this contract to be over. NEVER use them if you care anything about how your yard looks!

I am writing to explain the recent inquiry I had with this organization. On Thursday, March 19th, 2015, I contacted this business inquiring about an Angies List special they have for 4 man hours of Lawn and Yard Debris. When speaking with the representative on the phone, she confirmed this Angies List special. I told her I need this help, but I wanted their employees to spread 10 yards of cedar mulch which I was going to supply. Or if they could supply the mulch at a competitive price their business could have the entire contract. I waited until Monday, March 23rd, 2015, for a response. I finally called back and had to leave a message. I also called back 2 other times on Tuesday and left a message. Finally someone responded mid afternoon on Tuesday. They did not have the answer to my original question from 5 days earlier. She said she would get back to me. Once she did get back with me late Tuesday afternoon, she proceeded to tell me the price to spread the mulch I provided would be $499. I confirmed that was for the labor only. She said yes. I was willing to make an understanding about the lack of communication if the price would have been the advertised price of $249 on Angies List. But at a price of double for what took a business last year to do the same work in 2.5 hours is an extremely poor business practice. Its very confusing how their business has such high ratings on Angies List if this is the way their business is run. I originally sent this same information to the business via email earlier today and requested a manager get back with me before I posted this on Angies List. They have not gotten back with me as of 5:44 p.m. I have since gotten a quote for the same work to be performed for $210 by another well rated Angies List company

If you are looking for a lawn maintenance company, I highly recommend you look elsewhere. I had Pine Valley give me an estimate to fix by back yard - I had very little grass and had several runoff ditches. They said they could rake the dirt and that would level out the ditches and do a seeding to grow grass. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and had them do the work. They DID NOT rake any dirt, and just put down some grass seed. They DID NOT give me any sort of watering instructions and so obviously nothing grew. I did manage to get them to do another seeding - it took several weeks of pestering. And so I was forced to grow grass in the middle of the summer of 2014 and spend $300/mth for water. I had signed up for their premium lawn care package which included a seeding/aeration and two spot-seedings per year. Early spring of 2015 I called them to see when I could get one of my spot seedings - they said it should be within the next month or two. Two months later I still had not received it and called them back. They said that I WOULD NOT receive spot seedings in the spring time. They said my package only included one spot seeding, and that I would receive it in the fall at the same time they did the normal seeding! What??? I cancelled my service on the spot. Incidentally, the summer of 2015s hot weather killed nearly every blade of grass that Pine Valley had planted. How did it die so quickly? Did they even put down any fertilizer or lime or organic compounds? I doubt it. My lawn is now full of crab grass. Long story short - I wasted every dollar I gave Pine Valley Turf management. Instead of a beautiful lawn, I received a huge headache. Steer clear!

I live in Charlotte North Carolina. Pine Valley Turf takes care of all of my lawn care. They do my fertilization, aeration, landscaping, mulching and everything else. David, the owner is awesome. They really know what they are doing. I think most of them have worked at golf courses taking care of the turf there. If you need lawn care in Charlotte, Pine Valley Turf is the place to go. I cant say enough about them.
